Ulrich362: Well, we're certainly very fond of Arc-V stories wouldn't you agree Bopdog? Maybe it's because of all the potential they wasted in what could have been the best series in the franchise?

bopdog111: But unfortunately it was handled very poorly. The manga was kinda okay (with the only big things being the callback ace monsters by Eve, and G.O.D.), but the anime was even better for it. However lots of problems happened along with the neglect of one certain dimension.

Ulrich362: True, though the manga does have a very... well if you know the ending of the manga you'll understand. That said, this is something a little different, as usual it will include a Ritual Dimension though that isn't the main twist this time around.

bopdog111: If you all remember the Daughter universe you should probably know this very important character. This isn't a part of the Daughter universe, and isn't connected to a certain plot point we are doing.

Ulrich362: No, but it hopefully will be an interesting story that you enjoy. Anything else to say before we get started Bopdog?

bopdog111: Only that an interesting dynamic follows her.

Ulrich362: True, so enjoy the chapter. Oh, and just for our sakes if you do leave a review could you possibly mention which of our stories you might like to see updated soon, we'd appreciate that.

Disclaimer: We don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, all we own are the OCs.

In the halls of Duel Academy a dark skinned young man wearing a red tank top and black sleeveless vest and pants. He wears a gold pendant of unknown origin around his neck frowned as he walked into a large room filled with containers of a strange fluid as an older white haired man was giggling as he watched an insect in a smaller container on a small desk.

"Doktor, we have a small problem." The young man told him. "One that concerns you."

Turning the old man turned revealing he was holding a card in his hand. "Axel Brodie, I thought I requested not to be disturbed while I finish working on my creations… if this is Viper wanting more…"

"It's not about whatever deal you have with Professor Viper, your kid turned traitor." Axel interrupted. "She's fled Duel Academy and it stands to reason she's in the Standard Dimension right now."

"What?" The Doktor questioned in shock. "What are you talking about, Mir is unquestionably loyal to me and to the Professor, she would never think of betraying us."

"Apparently not, we found this in her room." Axel mentioned handing a journal to the Doktor as he frowned before opening it.

"This… I can't understand it. How can someone create such monstrosities and be proud of it!? Creating a Utopia for everyone, how can anyone be expected to believe that when someone like my father is creating brainwashing insects and he even tried to control me… this isn't right! I need to do something to stop them, the Xyz and Synchro Dimensions aren't going to work, the Xyz Dimension is in ruins after the invasion and the Synchro Dimension is where he went… I'm not going anywhere that he might find me. As for the Ritual Dimension, that could work, but if the rumors I heard are true his son is in the Standard Dimension which makes that the best option. I know it's risky but I have to get away… those bugs are proof, I can't stay here it's not safe and never has been. You were right from the start mom, and I have a feeling he was responsible for your death too. I love you, and hopefully when everything is said and done the lies the Professor told us will still be able to come true, and we'll have a real utopia across the five dimensions."

Seeing that the Doktor's eyes widened. "Does the Professor know about this?"

"Of course, but for the time being we're to wait… we don't have enough information to launch a full assault on the Standard Dimension. We are sending in someone to infiltrate though, top of his class." Axel mentioned before frowning as he looked around at the multiple containers full of insects.

"Betraying the Professor is inexcusable, daughter or not." The Doktor stated calmly.

"Then I guess that means if we find her, we beat her and then card her just like anyone else." Axel mentioned before leaving the room as the Doktor frowned before turning back to his small table and gently petting an insect as he smirked.

Meanwhile in another Dimension...

The city of Paradise City was thriving well. It been 1 year since the disappearance of one Yusho Sakaki, and lately things had been good for the most part. Yusho's family faces a lot of ridicule following the disappearance, and his son Yuya tries to prove them his father is not a coward, and vows to become a Dueltainer like him. If this was his story we would focus on him...

However, this story is about someone else... someone who will get to know Yuya but right now she has a different goal in mind.

In a flash of light a white-haired woman with her hair tied in a braid suddenly appeared in an alley in Paradise City taking a few deep breaths as she looked at a small object in her hand, a pin with a golden L and D with a gray I between them on what appeared to be a wing. A special pin that would help this woman get where she needed to be.

She looked around before stepping out showing she's wearing a purple blazer with a long pink skirt, and red shoes walking around trying to find a place getting lost while people just walked passed her going about there daily lives. Eventually she encountered a police officer who notices her, and offered. "Can I help you with something ma'am?"

"Oh, yes excuse me I'm a bit lost." the woman mentioned showing him the pin. "Can you help me find this location?"

The officer looked. "Oh you looking for the Leo Institute?" He pointed at a direction. "Take this way, and come out at your left, and then turn a right, you can't miss it."

"Thank you." smiling the woman nodded as she followed the officer's directions only to notice a large building that looked a bit like an hourglass with the letters LDS on the top. 'This must be it, and that means his son is here.'

She walked over inside where she sees a receptionist typing in a computer.

"Excuse me." the woman mentioned trying to get the receptionist's attention. "Hello?"

Looking over the receptionist stared before telling her. "Do you have an appointment?"

Frowning the woman shook her head. "No, but it's important I speak to the individual in charge here."

The receptionist only frowned over while unaware to them a camera turned over focusing on the woman. "I'm sorry, I'm afraid Mr. Akaba isn't seeing anyone right now. I'm gonna have to ask you to leave."

Putting her hands on the reception desk the woman frowned. "I assure you, Mr. Akaba will want to speak with me. Can you at least let him know that Mir is here to speak with him?"

"I'm sorry, I don't know any Mir. Please leave or I will call security."

Suddenly a beeping was heard on the phone which she looked, and pressed a button. "Yes, Mr. Akaba?"

"This woman at the front desk. Let her in my office, I do want to speak to her." a calm male voice answered over to her.

"Of course, Mr. Akaba, my apologies." the receptionist looked back at Mir, and gestured to the elevator. "Mr. Akaba is expecting you at the top floor."

The woman, Mir, nodded at that before walking to the elevators only to close her eyes and take a nervous breath as she got on the elevator. Pressing the button the elevator closed as she ascended up while feeling her heart thumping as she gets closer. Soon the elevator dinged opening the door allowing her to see she's in an office where a young man was looking out of the window with his back turned to her, and his hands behind him while his desk is behind him.

"It is you... the boy I saw that day." Mir noted seeing him as though recalling a memory.

The boy turned over showing red rimmed glasses, and gray hair. "Have a seat." He gestured to the seat in front of his desk before walking to sit at the desk. Mir nodded sitting at the desk as she took another slow breath. He looked at her clearly studying her looking her over before then saying. "So your the girl I've stumbled onto at Duel Academy last year."

"No, technically this is the first time we're meeting." Mir clarified. "Though, I did see your encounter with the Professor... you said he's your father right? I remember you calling him that before he sent you back here. The girl you stumbled upon was Celina, my name is Mir."

"I do recognized you though." the boy said over to him. "So, the important question is why are you here? You don't seem to be the type to be an envoy to start an invasion."

Hearing that Mir couldn't help but chuckle. "I don't know if I should be relieved or insulted that you think that, but no... I'm not here to start an invasion of this or any of the other three Dimensions. The truth is, I'm more akin to a traitor than a soldier."

The boy stayed calm from that still looking her over. "...You do look like someone important."

"I am, or... well I am because of my father. Duel Academy's leading scientist... he's just known as the Doktor but he's anything but... he's insane!" Mir spat before shuddering.

"Is that why your here? To give us information about Duel Academy's leading scientist?" the boy looked calculating studying this conversation.

"No, I came here to beg for your help to stop Duel Academy." Mir answered. "You might be the only one who can stop them."

Her expression darkened as she clenched her fists tightly before she whispered a single word.

"Parasites."

"Hm? Parasites?" the boy looked confused hearing that word.

"My father's great creation, by using Real Solid Vision he can implant parasitic insects into people's brains... no free will and completely loyal to him... unquestioning dueling soldiers and he has hundreds... maybe thousands of the insects under his control." Mir explained shivering. "The people he... infects, are mindless slaves that do whatever he wants... even commit the worst atrocities you can imagine. If my father is someone the Professor trusts, the Arc-Area Project has to be a lie too."

The boy frowned over from this before saying a word. "Declan."

Blinking Mir looked at him before realization hit and she nodded. "Mir."

The boy, Declan, nodded back before saying. "Well if you are giving us vital information like this, and turned your back on Duel Academy despite knowing the consequences what happens, it be right for you to stay safe here. I have a counterintuitive in mind against Duel Academy. And I figure that with you, we have an advantage against them."

Nodding Mir smiled. "I'll do whatever I can to help."

"However you need your earn my trust. In my line of work here, you can get respect, and trust by earning it through hard work, and dedication. If your truly serious about aiding us, then prove it." Declan sure made it clear that despite him being younger, he sure knows what he's doing giving Mir a difficult task to prove herself.

Mir only nodded at that. "I had a feeling, what do I need to do?"

"To start how skilled are you in a duel?" Declan gave her an obvious question to ask for the first.

"I'm fairly talented, my deck might not be the strongest but I can make use of it and I'm willing to make adjustments if I need to." Mir answered calmly before smiling. "Of course, I do have one of the most powerful Fusion Monsters in my possession."

"Show me." Declan placed a device which shows as a Duel Disk port to place a card probably used for testing to see if the cards work.

Seeing that she nodded taking out a deck before looking through it and placing a Fusion Monster on the port.

Quintet Magician

DARK

Level 12

Spellcaster/Fusion/Effect

ATK: 4500

DEF: 4500

5 Spellcaster monsters
Must be Fusion Summoned. If this card is Fusion Summoned using 5 Spellcaster monsters with different names: You can destroy all cards your opponent controls. This face-up card on the field cannot be Tributed, nor used as Fusion Material, also it cannot be destroyed by card effects.

At an instant a globe beside his desk glowed, and what appeared beside Mir was the same monster about as tall as her. Mir glanced over at the globe before turning back to Declan.

"We also have Solid Vision except of your... sophisticated methods, we have a different way to express it." Declan explained over. "We have Action Duels."

"Action Duels?" Mir inquired taking her card and putting it back in her deck as Quintet Magician's image faded. "Wait, was that related the advertisement I saw on the way here... the muscle-headed man calling himself the Sledgehammer?"

"In a sense." Declan nodded before explaining to her about Action Duels that duelists can interact with there monsters, and use cards known as Action Cards to make advantages or unexpected surprises during dueling while also having a type of performer known as Dueltainer with the leading champion being Yusho Sakaki until he disappeared a year ago while the man known as the Sledgehammer took his place by default.

Mir frowned hearing that but nodded. "It sounds like a good way to keep in shape and actually have fun while dueling... and if the worst case scenario hits it gives a small advantage in a battle with Duel Academy if the duelists here are already used to running around and jumping all over these Action Fields with their monsters."

Her expression then darkened.

"Though, what did you mean Yusho Sakaki disappeared? Or do I need to earn that answer?"

"He went on ahead to try convincing my father to stop but he never returned." Declan answered that question himself. "Another job for you is otherside from getting used to Action Dueling is another perk. Your gonna have to be a teacher here."

"A teacher? Alright, I think I can manage that." Mir nodded.

"A Fusion course teacher with some part in Xyz." Declan told her over. "Your more skilled over Fusion but if we're intending to stop Duel Academy we should show that your not an enemy so by using Xyz Summoning would have the Xyzians understand your fighting for them not fighting them."

"It won't be easy, but I'll try." Mir nodded before smiling softly. "I'm surprised though, you have no reason to trust me and could have sent me back to Duel Academy after I gave you my information... why didn't you?"

"I maybe planning to stop Duel Academy, and prevent there goals but I'm not heartless. You remind me of my little sister, scared, and alone." Declan answered over to her. "She grown up in a warzone area, and lost her sense of will following her experience. While not exactly the same you remind me of her."

Mir blinked at that before blushing slightly. "I'm not exactly defenseless... maybe I can talk with this sister of yours, after I'm officially hired."

She paused.

"And, for the record... you know I'm 16 years old right?"

"What type of difference does it make what age you are?" Declan asked her.

"Well, I'm pretty sure I'm older than you so it's a little rude to be compared to your little sister." Mir explained before just shrugging. "Well, I guess I'll take a look around and get used to the building before my classes start?"

"You have a day to prepare yourself." Writing in a checkbook he handed a written check over to her. "Get some necessities or whatever other needs, and have one of the rooms over at the dorms."

"Right." Mir nodded before pausing. "Can I ask you one other thing? What about your mother?"

Declan looked over to her at that before he stated over to her. "...Later. I'll chat with her about this development but you'll know what she'll think about this later."

'So your mother is still here and working with you.' Mir thought as she nodded and left the office.

After exiting she curiously looked at the check.

$5,000

May seem like much but Declan gave it for some important needs she has, and for her to life off of until she starts earning paychecks for her to stay afloat while she's staying. Looking at it she closed her eyes and walked out into the city as in Declan's office a man in a suit walked in. "Sir, should we have someone follow her?"

Declan was viewing Mir out with cameras before he closed his eyes. "No Claude. If we continuing monitoring her she will sense distrust, and she won't relax, and probably try something. We want her to feel welcomed but keep our guard up."

"Understood, and one other thing... Riley's training is progressing well, right on madame chairwoman's schedule." the man, Claude, noted.

Declan nodded hearing that. "Good. Maybe she, and Mir can be friends at a certain point."

Claude just nodded as he stood behind the desk while Declan looked out over the city.

With Mir...

Mir slowly entered a clothing store probably a thrift shop to find something cheap, and cozy to wear looking around to see what to find otherside her current Duel Academy clothes. She betrayed Duel Academy so she wants to find something more comfortable to wear, and not to remind her about it for a while. So she looks around finding what to wear looking around before a hand tapped her shoulder.

Flinching she instinctively grabbed it while turning. Who was there was an employee who looked startled from her grabbing him like that.

"Oh, sorry you just surprised me." Mir apologized letting go of his hand. "I don't like people sneaking up behind me." 'Then again what trained soldier wouldn't react that way? I'll have to learn to let my guard down a little.'

"Oh it's okay. Who knows what kind of people would do." the employee smiled over to her before then asking. "Can I help you find something?"

"That would actually be nice, thank you." Mir smiled. "I don't have much and need an entire wardrobe actually."

"Well let's get you set up. I wish I was a female employee so you can talk more comfortably but I'm the only one available to help you out right now." the employee smiled over to her. "So what's your size?"

Mir blushed slightly as she told him her size.

He headed over to the dress, and shirts combo for woman for her to check them out. They spent around probably 10 minutes looking through but eventually Mir found 4 dresses, and 10 shirts her size. Next they moved to bottom clothes where she founded 5 shorts, and 7 pants for her, and also finding 20 pairs of socks while doing. Now is the most embarrassing ones.

"Alright so... size of cup?" the employee asked her quietly to avoid attracting the attention of the other customers as they entered the underwear section of the store.

"Huh, I don't need any water." Mir told him.

"Size of breastcup." the employee clarified while blushing quietly.

Mir blinked again. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

The employee blinked outlandishly. "You really don't know?"

"No, I don't." Mir answered honestly. "What are you talking about?"

"Oh Christ this is gonna be embarrassing..." the employee mumbled to himself blushing before he gestured to the changing room. "Well uh... I need you to remove your bra, and hand them to me outside of the curtain. I can determine what the size your breastcup is from seeing them myself."

Mir just looked at him before her eyes widened and she blushed. "I... don't have one of those, and I never have. You could have just said bra."

"You... don't have a bra?" the employee blinked more stunned.

"No, I don't. It's... good genetics but I've never needed one." Mir admitted blushing more.

"You don't?" the employee looked down at Mir's chest curiously hearing that to see if she really doesn't need a bra.

Mir's eyes widened before smacking him.

"Pervert!" she hissed.

"Agh sorry." the employee rubbed his cheek. "God, I wish we have a female employee handy..." He then bowed over. "So sorry about that how rude of me. I just wanted to help if you do need a bra is all."

"I'll be fine, and thanks for helping me with everything else." Mir mentioned walking into the changing room to try on some of the clothes.

"You can look around the underwear section by yourself if you like." the employee informed before walking back out to give her some privacy.

Mir sighed before looking in the mirror to try on some of the clothes. She first undressed before looking over, and starts trying different uniforms. From pairs like shirts, and t-shirts along with a tank top, she also find some interest in other styles, and appearances on them with the shorts, and pants too. She also really likes the short sleeved blue shirt that has a card backing on the back with a pair of jeans on. She also tried the dresses, and happens to like the sleeveless, shoulderless blue dress as she twirled looking at herself in it.

"It feels like a new me." she whispered before taking it off and walking out to find the employee so she could pay.

She finds him at the register going about his job.

"Everything was amazing, how much do I owe you?" Mir inquired.

He looked over before smiling, "All in all $43.87."

Nodding Mir paid for the clothes before leaving.

She walked by herself carrying 3 big bags of the clothes she gotten now walking to the direction of the dorm she's staying. She passed by a group of three men as one seen her, and grinned a perverted grin reaching, and pinched her butt quick.

He felt a smack at the back of his head. "Dude really?"

"Broads like her can't be by herself." the guy defended himself with his hands raised in surrender.

Mir frowned at that as she walked to her dorm. 'Great... but at least he's not here.'

Reaching the dorm she almost bumped into someone as the guy looked to her. "Oh... sorry about that. I wasn't aware you came back already from what Mr. Akaba informed me."

"It's alright, he told you about how I'm going to be teaching at the Leo Institute and moving in here?" Mir inquired.

"Yes. I'm Professor Marco the Fusion Course Studies Teacher. Your being in as my assistant teacher, and in some cases the practical." the man introduced himself with a smile while offering a hand. "And you are?"

Smiling softly she took his hand. "Mir, it's nice to meet you Pro... Marco."

"Well Mir, please follow me. I'll take you to the Teachers dorm." Marco gestured her to follow him.

Nodding she paused. "Those three on the way here, they're not teachers are they?"

"What three?" Marco asked curiously.

Mir frowned and explained about the three guys she walked past and how one of them pinched her ass. "I'd prefer not to work with people like that if you don't mind."

Marco frowned from that. "That's probably Jinbei. He also causes trouble for girls. After being reprimanded a lot of times he doesn't stop his behavior. Don't worry, I'll chat with Mr. Akaba about this, and maybe he'll get him to stop."

"Hopefully." Mir nodded at that.

"He's not a teacher if that's what your worried about just a senior student." Marco arrived at a door with her.

Mir nodded before turning to him. "Thanks."

"Anytime. Come by in half in hour for dinner." Marco smiled over before walking off to give her some time.

Mir nodded putting some of her clothes away before looking at the Duel Disk she borrowed. 'At least the practice Duel Disks don't have the return feature... then again they were never meant to leave Duel Academy.'

Suddenly pausing she looked over herself before sniffing herself. Frowning she undressed before walking into the bathroom to wash up. Taking some shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash she cleans, and washes herself off while making sure she's clean. She placed her Duel Academy clothes in a bag not intending to be back into them anytime soon so she can use her new clothes. Soon enough she used a towel to dry off as she put on the short sleeved blue shirt that has a card backing on the back with a pair of jeans, socks, and a pair dark blue sneakers before heading to dinner. Arriving down she sees adults, and teachers chatting with each other.

Swallowing nervously she looked around for Marco.

"Oh Mir!" she turned seeing him waving over. "Over here!"

Seeing him she walked over to sit with him. "Marco... can I ask about the kinds of things you teach here?"

"Well I'm the Fusion Course's main teaching instructor. I basically teach students all I know about Fusion Summoning the kinds of strategies, and cards you use." Marco explained over to her.

Nodding at that Mir took out a small salad and started to eat "Well I just want to make a good first impression. I'm only sixteen so I have a feeling some of our students might be older than me so I want to be sure I know what they're studying."

"Have you have any experience in either teaching or Fusion Summoning?" Marco brought a fair question to see if Mir does have any experiences as she'll be his assistant teacher.

"Not teaching, but I'm fairly skilled at Fusion Summoning." Mir answered with a small smile. "My mother taught me the basics."

"So what kind of Deck do you use?" Marco asked out of curiosity.

"Witchcrafters." Mir answered. "It might not seem that strong but I manage with it."

"Oh a Spellcaster Fusion Deck?" Marco gets that much from the name alone nodding over. "I never heard of that kind of Deck myself, I just use Gaia for Fusion."

"Gaia can be strong." Mir nodded before pausing. "What about your students?"

"Well my students are good people. Well most of them..." he trailed of recalling the student he told Mir about the same one that grabbed her earlier. "But out of all of them the only one that stands out is a real diamond."

"A Diamond?" Mir inquired curiously. "Who's that?"

"Her name is Julia Krystal." Marco smiled fondly. "Her dad is a jeweler but she is a really good duelist herself. Her Deck the Gem-Knights works really well, and is at the top of her class at a young age."

Mir nodded before looking up in thought. "Maybe I'll try and find her so we can talk."

"Well she's fond around me but I think she can be better if she talks with a female teacher." Marco admitted over with a chuckle. "I mean, one time she asked me if I can help her in a bra which I told her I can't."

Mir's eyes widened before she blushed. "Well, I actually wouldn't be much help either. I don't own any."

"Well even if it doesn't involve that I think it be better if she has a woman she can talk too... her mother passed away when she was younger." Marco admitted over to her. "From what I heard, she had been battling cancer sometime after she got pregnant. She never recovered from childbirth."

Hearing that Mir gasped and started to cough and choke on her salad before taking a sip of water. "Her... her mother passed away? Where is she now?"

"Probably in the dorms right now." Marco answered over. "Her room number is 24 if you want to talk to her."

Mir nodded getting up before heading to Julia's room to talk with her future student. Soon she arrived in the girl dorms finding room number 24. Taking a breath she knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" a young girl replied from behind.

"My name's Mir, I'm going to be assisting Marco in his classes and... he mentioned you. Julia right?" Mir inquired closing her eyes. "May I come in?"

"So your the assistant teacher we heard in the rumors?" footsteps are heard before who opened was a young girl who looked to be 11 having dark skin, and red eyes while having shoulder-length black hair wearing a small blue shirt with her LID badge pinned on it over a cream one-piece long-sleeved shirt and shorts combination with black skin-tight shorts underneath ending above the knee, and blue boots.

"Rumors about me already? I hope they're not bad." Mir admitted before walking in. "I was talking with Marco and he said you're the best student in the class."

"Well I tried my best for him." Julia admitted with a small blush. "I still think I need some more practice."

"I can help if you want." Mir offered before frowning. "He... told me about your mother."

Julia widen her eyes before looking down. "Are you gonna be one of those people to pity me...? Saying you understood how I feel when you really don't?" Mir can see that she had been told lots of times people understood what she's going through from it but feels there only saying it to make her feel better.

"... My mom's dead too." Mir revealed after a moment.

Julia widen her eyes slowly looking up at her. Mir looked as though she were recalling a really painful memory with tears in her eyes. "It was... when I was just four years old, my mom... she was murdered."

"No kidding...?"

Mir shook her head tearing up. "I... it's why I came here, well part of the reason anyway but if you ever need to talk I can listen Julia. Oh... but I might not be much more help than Marco with your bra problem."

Julia stared at her before she slowly nodding. "It... it be nice to have someone who really knows how I'm feeling..."

"I agree." Mir nodded before gently embracing her. "If you ever want to talk, I'll be here to listen."

Julia slowly hugged her back before Mir feels her shoulder getting wet. Mir closed her eyes gently rubbing Julia's back as she closed her own eyes. 'Mom, hopefully everyone here will help me avenge your murder and stop the Professor and the Doktor...'

Ulrich362: Well, a short opening chapter but things will pick up very quickly moving forward.

bopdog111: You all might remember Mir from the Daughter universe.

Ulrich362: True, but here she's the main protagonist.

bopdog111: Since she doesn't have the Parasite in her this time she will go through a different route.

Ulrich362: True, starting off as a teacher working alongside Professor Marco... or just Marco as she's calling him for understandable reasons.

bopdog111: And if you guys remember the Witchcrafter Deck it is what Mir is using. An interesting Deck to have.

Ulrich362: True, one that we'll get to see in action soon. See you in the next chapter.

bopdog111: Be sure to review!
