Set on season 9
After another exhausting day at the firm, with his nerves on edge due to Faye's constant presence, the time to leave finally arrives. Although Harvey Specter was never a man who spent the day eagerly anticipating the solitude and coldness of his condo, everything feels different now. He can't wait to get home and find Donna there. Just knowing she will be waiting for him fills him with joy, and he can't help but smile like a fool.
After Ray drives him home, Harvey enters the building where he lives and feels like an anxious child in the elevator. His hands are in his coat pockets, and he can't help but tap his heels against the ground as if that could somehow speed up the seconds left until he reaches his condo.
Except, when Harvey enters his condo, Donna is not there and his heart automatically sinks into his chest. He had been waiting for hours to stick his body to hers, standing there at the entrance. She would probably no longer be wearing her heels, and that would make her have to stretch and stand at the tips of her feet to be able to hug him by the neck, while he would wrap his arms around her waist, clinging to her.
However, that wasn't going to happen. At least not now. He immediately takes his phone out of his pocket and sends her a text: "Where are you? I thought it was my place tonight."
But he gets no answer, only that she has seen it. The lack of a reply frustrates him, and he lets out a sigh of disappointment. With no other choice, he reluctantly enters his home.
Donna receives his message while in the elevator of his building and can't help but smile, though a tinge of guilt washes over her. She had only gone out to buy their favorite wine for dinner, thinking she would return in time to wait for him with the glasses of wine ready on the table. Like him, she yearns for the elevator to move faster, swaying her body from side to side in her anxiousness. Several hours have already passed since their last encounter during lunch, and the anticipation to reunite with Harvey grows stronger with each passing moment.
Donna enters Harvey's condo, hoping to find him there, but he is nowhere to be seen. She takes off her coat, sets down her purse and the bottle of wine she bought, and heads towards the sound of running water, indicating that he is in the shower.
"Hey... I'm here. Sorry, I went out to buy wine," she calls out, peeking out of the bathroom door.
Harvey's face lights up with relief as the water continues to cascade over him. "Okay, I'm almost done here."
"I'll be waiting for you in the kitchen," Donna responds, pausing for a moment. "Or do you need any help?"
He chuckles and closes his eyes, feeling the warm water soothing his tired muscles. "Do you mind waiting for me there?"
"Of course," she replies with a smile.
5 minutes later, Donna is waiting for him with the wine glasses and is ordering food through a delivery app when Harvey approaches her in his favorite look: long black sweatpants, a white t-shirt, barefoot, and his wet hair.
The only thing she doesn't like is the expression on his face.
"Did something happen?" she pouts. "You didn't want me to come in the shower with you, and now that expression." She looks at him with her arms crossed, tapping her fingers on her elbow, waiting for an answer.
"No, nothing," he shrugs.
"No, nothing," she imitates him, walking towards him. "Sure." She squints her eyes and briefly kisses him without getting a response. "What the hell is it?" she asks, putting her hands on his arms, her fingers sliding into the sleeves of his t-shirt. "Harvey!" she murmurs.
"Just..." he pouts, just like a child. "I had been waiting for hours to come back and find you here, and for a moment..." He sighs and shrugs his shoulders. "I don't know. I was scared that I wouldn't find you here."
She smiles tenderly and drags her thumbs on his arms. "I'm here now," she murmurs and kisses him again. "It wasn't my intention."
"I know."
"And even though you know that you're still upset, right?"
"A little."
"And do you think it will be better if I give you a few kisses?" she asks and kisses his cheek.
"We can try."
Donna chuckles and nods, kisses his other cheek, his chin, on his nose, and stands on her toes to kiss his forehead. "Is it working?"
"Yeah, it might be. Keep going, just to confirm."
Donna giggles against his cheek and shakes her head, but continues. She kisses each side of his neck, his jaw, and behind his ear. Quick kisses on his lips and, once again on her tiptoes, she kisses the moles on his forehead. "So?"
"Keep going. I'll let you know when I feel better."
Donna giggles again and continues to kiss him: the corners of his lips, his brow, his cheeks, and his lips again until she feels him hold onto her waist, causing her arms to rise from his arms and wrap around his neck. Harvey gives her a brief kiss on her lips and hugs her, burying his face in her hair.
"You're amazing," he murmurs.
Donna smiles and pulls her head back to peck the side of his neck, which makes him gently giggle, and she feels the vibrations of his throat against her lips. "I love you, silly. You're not going to get rid of me so easily."
Harvey smiles and kisses her head. "That's good because you're not going to get rid of me that easily either," he says, separating himself a little from her, and she does the same with a smile that he erases with a kiss. "And I love you too," he whispers and hugs her again, just as he had wished for all day.
