Two weeks, that's how long Katie has been a prisoner to the Krang. Two whole weeks. It was complete torture for poor Katie, she had lost her mother, got kidnapped by the Krang, and mutated into a lizard on the same night, that was crazy! Katie has been going through a really hard time now that she is a prisoner, the Krang keep torturing and experimenting on her since she is one of their successful experiments. She had tried to escape a couple of times, but her attempts have always failed because of the Krang's security systems and she always got punished, mostly tasered which Katie hated the most. Their tasers felt like a blazing, stinging fire every time they would hit your skin. Her clothes were a little torn up due to her mutation and she still had to wear them since she didn't have any other clothes to wear. Her new home was a small cell along with many other captured mutants like her. She didn't have a lot of space to roam around and there was nothing in it except a small bench that she could sleep on, it was uncomfortable at first, but over time Katie got used to sleeping on it. The only thing that Katie had to entertain herself with was the backpack that she brought from home, the supplies inside were not damaged at all luckily. So, when no Krang is watching, she either pulls out a book or music and starts to listen to it or read it but quietly, making sure no Krang could hear her otherwise they would take the last things she had from home away from her, and she didn't want that to happen. Anyways, it was a gloomy day and Katie was currently in her cell, laying on the bench looking at the necklace her mom gave her on her birthday. It had a silver chain with a crescent moon in the middle that said the words 'I love you to the moon and back.'. She traced her green thumb across the silver moon, feeling the cold, smooth metal brush against her skin. Katie then clutched the necklace in her hand as she squeezed her eyes shut feeling the rush of sadness flow through her body before reopening her eyes with them sparkling with almost tears ready to fall down her cheeks, she replayed the memories that she and her mom shared together. Like when she first rode a bike, baking together, going on walks together, and the most precious memory of all, when her mom took her to their stargazing spot to look up at the stars. That was the breaking point for poor Katie as she sobbed quietly, tears falling from her eyes like small rivers as they kept coming. She curls herself into a ball, still holding the necklace in her hand as she sobbed more and eventually cried herself to sleep.
The sound of the cell door opening caused Katie to jerk awake. She gasped softly as she lifted her head to see a Krang droid holding a laser gun in its hands right in front of her.
"Krang wants the one known as Kaitlyn Millers to come with Krang to the place which is known as the lab." The Krang spoke to her in its regular robotic voice. Katie looks down at the ground and sighs, she has been going to the Krang's lab to and fro for the last week because they take some of her blood to test Katie's DNA on how her mutation as a mutant lizard was a success.
"Krang will not ask the one known as Kaitlyn Millers to come with Krang to the place which is known as the lab. If the one known as Kaitlyn Millers won't come with Krang, then Krang will have to use force." The Krang spoke, ready to pull out the taser it had in its pocket. Katie's eyes widened in fear, not wanting to get tazed, it was complete torture to her.
"Ok don't do it! I-I'll come with you..." Katie spoke softly as she looked down at the ground tearing up a little.
"The one known as Kaitlyn Millers has made the right decision. The one known as Kaitlyn Millers will also take their supplies with Krang so Krang can study it." Katie's eyes widened again when she heard those words escape from Krang's mouth. Crap! She forgot to hide her backpack from the Krang! And now, they were going to take away her last precious things forever. She sighs sadly knowing there was no way out of this situation as she walked over and grabbed her backpack and walked out of the cell with the Krang behind her. As they walked down the long hallway, Katie was in a deep depression, not thinking about anything else. But then suddenly, a feeling of hope flowed through her body. This might be her only chance to escape, yes, she had to get out of there! Without thinking, Katie turned around and made a run for it while the Krang saw what happened.
"The one known as Kaitlyn Millers is trying to escape, Krang must inform Krang about this." The droid powered up its gun and started shooting at Katie. Katie tried her best to dodge the lasers that were being shot at her, and then she heard the alarm go off, that was bad...really bad! Now all the Krang now knew that she had escaped! As she was still running, a couple of Krang droids appeared and blocked her path, but Katie wasn't going to be kidnapped again, not this time! With a small, determined glare on her face, she takes a sharp turn left avoiding the Krang's blasters being fired at her. When she took the turn, what she saw in front of her made her heart jump for joy, there was an exit right in front of her! She can finally escape from this wretched place and be free. But then suddenly, the door of the exit started to close which caused Katie's eyes to widen, the door was closing! As a wave of adrenaline rushed through her body, she ran to the door and slid under just in time before it closed on her missing her face by inches. Katie lays on the ground, panting as she was a little exhausted from all that running. And when she looked up, her eyes met with the familiar city that she had been locked away from for two weeks. Katie let out a small laugh of joy as happy tears came running down her cheeks, she was finally free, but she didn't have time to celebrate yet. One of the warehouse doors opens and a couple of Krang droids come marching out holding their guns in their hands.
"Krang must capture the one known as Kaitlyn Millers who escaped from Krang and must take back for Krang." One of the droids replied as they raised their guns ready to fire, but Katie wasn't going to stay around for this. She quickly got up on her feet and made a run for it. They then started to fire. Katie did her best to dodge the gunshots being fired at her, she kept running with the Krang still on her tail. She was panting heavily, trying to think of or see some sort of place to hide. And then, out of the corner of her eye, Katie spotted a sewer grate in an alleyway not too far away from her, she could hide in there, yes! So, Katie took a quick turn left to the alleyway toward the sewer grate and struggled to lift it up.
"C'mon, c'mon, open please…" Katie whispered to herself. She then could hear the footsteps getting closer towards her and then finally, she was able to lift the grate. She jumped down into the cold, murky wet sewers and started running again. Katie turned her head to see how far away the Krang were from behind her, and she could see that they were not too far away. Katie kept running, but she was running out of energy, and she could feel the muscles in her legs aching and starting to slow down.
'Oh, not now! Don't give up yet, you must keep going!' She tried to think positively about herself, but it wasn't working. Katie kept running until she came to a dead end, she screeched to a stop making sure she couldn't hit the wall. Katie then turned around to see the Krang closing in behind her, she was trapped, and this time there was no escape.
Meanwhile, somewhere else in the sewer not too far away, four turtle brothers, Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey had just won a fight against some footbots and a few of Shredder's henchmen, Razhar and Fishface, and now they were walking in the sewers back to their secret lair that no one knew about.
"Aw yeah, we totally won that fight!" Raph said with a triumphant smirk on his face.
"We did amazing! I did all sorts of cool moves with my fellow bo-staff!" Donnie smiled.
"Dudes, did you see how I trashed those footbots? I was like all this and all that with my supa nun chucks dog!" Mikey exclaimed as he twirls his nun chucks around.
"We shouldn't get too excited guys. Shredder is still up to his plan and won't give up that easily." Leo said which makes Raph roll his eyes.
"C'mon Leo don't be such a baby! We will stop Shredder but for now, let's celebrate."
"Ok…I guess you're right." Leo sighs. As they were about to walk again Leo could hear gunshot noises firing from behind him.
"Guys, do you hear that?" Leo asked, gaining everyone's attention.
"Yeah, it sounds like Krang droids!" Donnie said.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go smash up some Krang, I needed more things to destroy anyway!" Raph exclaimed as he twirls his sais.
"If the Krang are down here, why are they not after us?" Mikey asked, confused why no Krang was near them.
"Mikey has a good point, let's see what they are up to before we jump into their business." Leo replied. But Raph didn't fully agree on the plan which causes him to groan in annoyance.
"Ugh, fine, but the second we find them I'm smashing some heads." Raph cracks his knuckles as they run toward the noise. When they got close enough, the brothers go into stealth mode as they hide behind a wall looking at the Krang.
"Krang will not ask the one known as Kaitlyn Millers to come with Krang again or Krang will use force."
"No, g-get away from me! You guys are m-monsters!" A scared and unfamiliar voice begged which caught the brother's attention, especially Leo's. When Leo peaks over to see who the voice belonged to, what he saw was a shock. It was a mutant lizard, a female to be exact. From her state she did not look well, her clothes were torn up and her short brown hair was tangly and messy, and her eyes were filled with fear. Leo felt sympathy for her, even though he didn't know her.
"Another mutant?" Raph questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"That's awesome, we can have a new friend!" Mikey gleamed with excitement. But then the Krang droids pull out a taser and shock the mutant which causes her to scream in pain before she collapses onto the floor, passed out. Leo feels something snap inside of him as he glares at the Krang.
"Alright guys, let's take them down!" Leo ordered as he pulled out his katanas.
"Now your talking!" Raph smirks as the brothers jump out of their hiding place. The droids turn around to see them.
"Krang, it is the one known as the turtl- "Before it could finish, Leo slices the droid in half with his katanas. They started firing at the brothers, but they dodged their blasts easily and started taking them down one by one. After a quick but intense battle, the turtles were panting from all that fighting.
"That was epic! I enjoyed pounding those alien scums to the ground!"
"But we have another problem, Raph," Leo replied as he walked over to the unconscious mutant girl, "We must take her back to the lair. Donnie, do you think you can treat her wounds?"
"Hm, I could, but as you said, we must go to my lab so I can treat her. But her wounds are fatal, they can be treated." Donnie replied as he examined her.
"Woah, woah, woah, hold your horses, Leo. Why are you suddenly interested in bringing a complete stranger back to our home?" Raph asked as he crossed his arms.
"Dude, can't you see her state? She's injured Raph, she probably must have been so scared…" Mikey said sadly.
"And that is why we are taking her back." Leo replied.
"Well, I don't like it. This is a bad idea Leo; you have lost your marbles! There is no way we are taking her back!" Raph exclaims.
"Well, we're not going to leave her here." Leo glares at his brother. Raph was about to protest back when Mikey came up and did his puppy dog eyes.
"Please Raph, can we take her back? I think she is not evil, let's listen to Leo, please?" Mikey begs with his cute puppy dog eyes. Raph looks at Mikey and then back at Leo with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face.
"Looks like your outmatched Raph." Leo smirked.
"Yeah Raph, you can't vote out of this one, she needs our help." Donnie replied. Raph looks at the ground for a moment before throwing his hands up in the air, sighing annoyed.
"Okay fine, you win, but I think this is a bad idea." Raph said as he walked away. Leo then looked back at the mutant girl who was still unconscious. He walks over to her, leans down, and picks her up. When he did, Leo felt that she was light.
'She is so light; I can easily lift her up in my arms. She's kind of-wait! Not now Leo, don't get any thoughts in your head!' Leo protests to himself in his head. The brothers then walk through the sewer tunnels taking the girl with them.
