Set in the 2000s during the early years of World War III (after the conclusion of Where on Earth Is Carmen Sandiego?), the story campaign follows ACME operative Chase Devineaux as he pursues the alleged infamous spy Carmen Sandiego, who has set out to subvert the ACME Detective Agency and tip the balance of power towards the VILE.

4. Road to Singapore Briefing

5 HOURS LATER...

The screen fades to a resume document.

Chief: Chief's here.

Director: How did the story go?

Chief: Glad to hear it. It's a full-swing.

The cutscene then cuts to papers and documents. There is a picture of Carmen Sandiego, and a map of Somalia.

Chief: Player has learned everything about Chase's mission in Mogadishu. The disk that was taken by Agent 13 is being looked into.

Director: Anything useful?

Chief: Some images apparently. Could be a possible leads to Carmen's clue.

Then, the cutscene cuts to show a laptop displaying an image of a pencil drawing depicting a lion and a mermaid fighting.

Chief: Jules is trying to connect the dots.

Director: We don't have much time. Does the team know about our mishap in Singapore yet?

Chief: No. But if it's connected to one of those clues from Agent 13, they'll find out soon enough.

The cutscene then cuts to a MKG-787 "Flying House," The Player's mobile flying safehouse aircraft.

Director: You won't let that happen, don't say anything more than necessary.

Chief: That's never been a problem for me.

Player's Flying Safehouse, Asian Airspace (2005)

Player: Hey, Jules. Did you find a clue from Carmen?

Jules (on comms): Got it. It's depicting the battle between a lion and a mermaid. Could be Singapore. PS, I've got two names involved in Singapore from the NATO alphabetical list: Golf-Foxtrot from Lansing, Michigan, USA and Alpha-Golf from Makassar, Indonesia.

Player: Oh, don't mention their initial names, I know them. Greta Folgan and Ananda Ginting.

Jules (on comms): For now, we need to tail their activities in Singapore; they may be housing nuclear materials codenamed "Eraser."

Player: A stealth mission? That's my favorite. If I going loud, that means...

Jules (on comms): That means we are the fugitives. So becareful at there...

Chase: I'm sorry to interrupt your conversation, but this is important. We have kill or capture orders on Folgan. If we can't get to Carmen, we'll get to her men. Close off her resources and force her out of hiding. Zack and Ivy are still wrapping up business in Russia, which means Folgan is ours. Gear up and we'll move out.
