Chase: Ananda joined the Carmen's syndicate which was based in Singapore after being exiled from Indonesia following its coup d'etat back in May 1998.

Hawkins: This girl has connections to extremist theorists throughout Europe, Russia, Asia, and the Americas.

The cutscene shows footage of arms smuggling, a news report on Panamanian President Manuel Noriega and Operation Just Cause, and footage of mob violence.

Chase: Neutralizing her will not only hurt Carmen herself, but her global syndicate as well.

A map shows the connection between Folgan, Ananda and Carmen Sandiego, along with a lone picture of Greta Folgan.

Chase: She's a goldmine

Jules: And here's the valuable asset.

Chase: Greta Folgan, a former Marine Sergeant from Lansing, Michigan. According to ACME's Crimenet, she's one of Carmen's intelligence couriers. She has a drop with Ananda scheduled for tomorrow morning.

A tape recorder is seen moving and footage of the Gardens by the Bay and sewers are shown. A map of Singapore is also shown, with the sewer system highlighted in red.

Chase: We'll infiltrate Ananda's movement via the sewers, from there we'll watch her as she enters the city. Once Folgan shows her face, it's kill or capture.

The screen transitions to footage of the Singaporean police checkpoint and photos of Folgan.

The Player and Chase Devineaux are seated in the taxi. Player glances at their watch while Chase reads a map.

Chase: Holy... I can't tell you exactly where the sewer entrance is, but it should be nearby. Get ready.

Jules (on comms): Chase, we're at vantage point.

Chase: Copy that. Keep the target in sight and don't let her out of your sight. (points to a sewer entrance lid) That's our access point. (to taxi driver) Stop here.

The taxi stops in front of an open sewer lid. Chase and The Player get out of the taxi. Chase pays the driver about five Singapore dollars and the taxi leaves.

Chase: This country has strict gun laws; if someone has a gun, you're dead meat. That's why we're using this place. It's the only way to follow Ananda's footsteps without getting caught by her.

The Player looks down into the sewer.

Chase: When we get down there, we'll be looking for their echoes in these sewers. Use whispers; we don't want to get caught or heard by the enemy.

Chase and Player headed down into the sewer.

Chase (whispering): Be careful. Ananda's bodyguards are crawling through these sewers.

The flashlight's beam approached Chase and Player.

Chase (whispering): Flashlight! We need to stay hidden in the dark places. There, we can use the darkened tunnels for cover.

The two hid in a dark and abandoned tunnel as the bodyguard patrolled the station with his flashlight. The Player approached the bodyguard to execute him.

Chase (whispering): Alright, Player. Stay in the shadow.

Bodyguard 1: Aman. (It's clear.)

Bodyguard 2: Disini juga aman. (This is clear too.)

Bodyguard 3: Okay. Awasi belakang kalian. Kita nggak mau biarin musuh ngikutin bos kita. (Watch your six. We don't wanna let the enemy tailing our boss.)

Bodyguard 4: Ayo kita keluar dari selokan ini! Bau banget! (Let's get out of this sewer! This place's stink!)

Chase (whispering): Take him out, Player.

Agent 13 executed a bodyguard.

Chase (whispering): Good. Let's find the exit.

A group of guards can be heard talking in the room, and one of the bodyguards tells something funny to another bodyguard.

Enemy Guard: Lu nggak berani cium bibir pacar lu? Cemen lu! (Are you afraid kissing your girlfriend's lips? What a coward you are!)

Player breaches the door and executes the guards inside. Chase and Player approach a ladder leading to the surface.

Chase (in normal voice): Come on. This is the way out. Climb the ladder.

Chase climbs the ladder first, followed by the Player. The Player then helps Chase up before they are encountered by a bodyguard.

Ananda's Bodyguard: What's going on here, tourist?

Chase: (to Player) Crap! Follow my lead. (to bodyguard) I work for the railroad and sewers too. Let me show you my ID card.

Ananda's Bodyguard: Cleaning crew, you are not allowed in this area! This area is off-limits! Get out of there or your lives will be gone to ashes!

Players and Chase punch two bodyguards in the face.

Chase: C'mon, let's hid them up.

Chase dragged one of the bodies into an adjacent alcove. The Player hid the other body as well. The Player followed Chase to a doorway at the end of the alley.

Chase: Ananda and her bodyguards should be coming through the Singaporean police's checkpoint soon. Let's go to the rooftop.

Chase enters the building, followed by the Player. He contacts Jules and Hawkins.

Chase: Jules, Shadow, we're almost in position.

Jules: Copy that.

Chase: Come on. This way.

The Player follows Chase through the doorway onto the rooftop overlooking the Singapore police's checkpoint.

Chase: That spotlight went to Ananda and her bodyguards. This should be easy peasy.

The Player follows Chase as a spotlight from a police watchtower shines on Ananda and her bodyguards.

Chase: Strictly second division patrol brigade. That's a good sign for us to spot her.

The Player and Chase reach an overwatch point above the checkpoint.

Chase: Keep an eye on that checkpoint. Ananda will be coming through at any moment. Use your binoculars to look for Ananda.

The Player equips their binoculars.

Chase: No doubt, security's even tighter than usual. If they detain Ananda, she could miss her meeting with Folgan.

The Player aims his/her binoculars at a group of men.

Chase: That's her bodyguard.

A woman carrying a briefcase and umbrella, accompanied by her two bodyguards, appeared at the checkpoint, where she was stopped by a Singaporean security guard.

Chase: Near the checkpoint, a woman with the briefcase. Is that her?

The Player zooms in on the woman's face, identifying him as Ananda.

Chase: That's our suspect, Ananda. Great work.

The guard allowed Ananda and the bodyguards to pass through the checkpoint.

Chase: On me.

The Player follows Chase off the rooftop and down a staircase. He contacts Jules once again.

Chase: Jules, suspect Ananda just passed through the police's checkpoint. What's your status?

Jules: Shadow and I are at the exfil point awaiting your arrival.

Chase: Roger that.

The Player follows Chase out the door and into an alleyway.

Chase: Our intel says Ananda and Folgan will meet at the bar across the street. Meet our ACME agent inside named Sasha, the American. She'll have a blue umbrella. I'll stay out here and watch the street. Be careful there. Good luck.

The Player walks into the bar across from the alleyway.

Chase (on comms): A blue umbrella inside the bar, did you see it?

The Player enters the bar and finds the ACME agent sitting at a table with a blue umbrella hanging from a chair.

Agent Sasha: Good to see you. (whispers) Ananda's at the table over my right shoulder.

The Player pulls out a listening device disguised as a Walkman MP3 player and activates it. The Player and Sasha listen in on Ananda.

Waitress: Good evening, ma'am. What can I get for you tonight?

Ananda: I'd like a cappuccino, please.

Chase: Audio is loud and clear. We now await Folgan.

Agent Sasha: The Chief didn't reveal much; she said you're after Folgan?

Player: Yeah, I do. Where did you last see Folgan?

Agent Sasha: Who knows? This whore's like a ghost. I would guess no more than a day.

Player: Did you know her?

Agent Sasha: Yeah, she's a former Marine Corps sergeant from Lansing. So, don't let her wholesome appearance fool you; the woman is a killer. By the way, a file containing intelligence on the meeting was found stored in a random safehouse, just two blocks away from here. Our agent reported that the intelligence file is a USB. It's being kept at the agent's residence. So, grab it before anyone else does.

Sasha passes a slip of paper to the player, showing the address of where the USB is being stored.

Player: We'll see about that.

Agent Sasha: That's my agent. Thanks.

After the conversation, an informant walked into the bar.

Chase: Heads up, Player, I think Folgan is walking in.

Ananda: Dimana dia? (Where she is?)

Ananda's Informant: Kamu diikuti orang. Pulanglah dan tunggu panggilan dari kita. Nanti akan ada tempat dan waktu yang baru. Kita awasi sisi belakang. (You were followed by someone. Go home and wait for our call. There will be a new time and place. We'll take care of the tail.)

Ananda leaves the bar with the informant just as two of her guards enter.

Chase: You've got company. There are two of Ananda's bodyguards entering the bar. Get out of there, now!

Agent Sasha: Crap! Go through the bathroom, I'll hold them off.

Sasha equips a pepper spray that she conceals. The Player gets up from their seat and enters the bathroom.

Chase: Team, new plan. Meet outside Ananda's apartment. She's still our ticket to Folgan.

The Player climbs out through the bathroom window with the help of a ceiling pipe, ending up in an alleyway.

Chase: I'm going to need more time. Rally up with Hawkins and Jules without me. I'll update you when I can.

The Player uses a lock pick to enter a garment workshop and heads upstairs.

Hawkins: Careful, buddy. The bodyguards are everywhere.

The Player then proceeds to execute a bodyguard guard searching for a civilian.

Shopkeeper: (to Player, in Mandarin) Is he gone? Thank you so much! I think I'll stay here until the evil person has left.

The Player exists through the doorway.

Hawkins: Meet me in the building across from your current position.

The Player heads outside to the balcony of the building.

Hawkins: Easy, bud. Don't do anything suspicious and just walk like an ordinary civilian.

Chase: Jules, gimme a sitrep.

Jules: I'm in a storefront facing Ananda's apartment. She just got home. You?

Chase: The bodyguards are crawling ove Singapore. I need to lay low. I'll catch up with you when the heat dies down. Player, get to Jules and Hawkins ASAP. Out.

If Player decides to head to building where Sasha's USB intel is being held...

An Ananda's bodyguard is seen guarding the USB and it is seen being stored in an open briefcase. The Player executes the guard with a baseball bat and grabs the USB from the briefcase. He/She then puts it into his/her pocket. The Player leaves the building and heads to a nearby apartment complex where Hawkins is waiting. Once inside, Hawkins is seen peering through a hallway door to see if the Player was followed.

Hawkins: No bodyguards following you. Follow me.

Hawkins opened the door for Player and then closed and locked it.

Hawkins: Calm down, this country has strict gun laws, so we don't need to do that.

The two exited the building as it started to rain outside.

Hawkins: Jules is in the abandoned salon right across from Ananda's place. I was gonna pick her up some snacks from the supermarket, but the queue was too long already. Jules is just up ahead.

Hawkins and Player enter the salon, where Jules is monitoring Ananda inside her apartment and using a listening device to hear what is going on inside.

Hawkins: We're back.

Jules: A car pulled up near Ananda's apartment a few minutes ago, but I didn't have a good angle to see who got out of it. (Sees through the apartment window Ananda using a mobile phone) Just a moment, she is on the telephone with someone, possibly Folgan.

Ananda: Saya tahu prosedurnya, nggak ada orang yang buntuti saya di pos pemeriksaan. (I know the procedure; no one followed me through the checkpoint.)

Hawkins: Player, get eyes on Ananda. Use your binoculars.

The Player pulls out a pair of binoculars to see. Ananda resumes her conversation on the phone.

Ananda: Kopernya sudah aman sama saya kok sepanjang waktu. (The briefcase is secure. It's been with me the entire time.) Kapan dan dimana? (Where and when?) Ya, saya tahu tempatnya. (Yes, I know the place.) Saya akan berhati-hati. (I'll be careful.)

Jules: What do you think?

Hawkins: It sounds like Folgan wants Ananda's briefcase. We should place a tracker on it. The briefcase will lead us straight to Folgan.

Jules: One of us can sneak into her apartment. Avoiding Ananda and her husband might be the greater challenge.

Hawkins: (looks to Player) Player volunteers. While he's/she's doing that, I'll check around the exterior for any unwanted guests. Jules, you can keep an eye on us from here. I'll try to give you my best angles.

Jules: Good idea.

Player exits the salon.

Jules (on comms): Her bodyguards are patrolling every corner of the city; be careful.

Bodyguards can be seen patrolling the streets outside of Ananda's apartment, chatting with Singaporean citizens. The Player enters the apartment.

Jules (on comms): Player, I saw Ananda writing in a ledger. See if you can find it. Player, if you're stopped by Ananda or her husband, the mission is over. You can tranq the husband if you have to, but Ananda must go to the meeting. I'm about to phone Ananda's apartment. Get ready to enter.

A telephone can be ringing. Player lock picks the door and pulls out a tranquilizer blowpipe dart.

Jules (on comms): Nice work, now find the briefcase.

Ananda's husband Christian is seen heading for the phone.

Christian: Hello? Maaf ya mbak, nggak ada Ahmad disini. (Sorry, there is no Ahmad here.) Ya, itu nomor telepon saya, tapi saya takut lho, mbak. Sebentar, saya yakin teman mbak nggak ada disini atau dia salah nomor atau mbak sendiri salah tulis nomornya. (Well, yeah, that's my number, but I'm afraid... Look, I'm sure your friend isn't here. Either she gave you the wrong number or you wrote it down wrong.) Oh, nggak apa-apa, nggak ada masalah kok. Ya, selamat malam juga. (Of course. it's no problem. And a good evening to you, too.)

Christian hangs the phone and Player quickly tranquilized him.

Christian (weakly): Aduh... tolong... (Ouch... help me...)

He is seen struggling to stand up and passes out.

Jules (on comms): He'll be out for hours. Clean it up.

Player sets him on the couch to make it look like he is sleeping.

Player heads upstairs, but Ananda walks near the stairs to get his wife's attention. He/She must avoid being spotted.

Ananda: Chris, lihat payungku, nggak? Aku mau keluar sebentar. (Chris, can you find my umbrella? I'll be leaving in a few minutes.)

Ananda's daughter, Anggi, can be heard calling her mother.

Anggi: Mama, aku belum makan. (Mom, I want to eat.)

Jules (on comms): What!? Did I missed her daughter?!

Ananda: Bentar, sayang. Mama lagi ambil makanan buat kamu. (Wait a minute, sweetheart. I will take some food for you.)

Player heads upstairs. Anggi calls her mother in the dining room.

Anggi: Ma, mana makannya? Aku lapar banget nih. (Mom, where is the food? I'm really hungry)

Jules observes Ananda leaving her office.

Jules (on comms): Ananda is leaving her office! Hide!

Player hides in one of the rooms.

Ananda: (to Anggi) Cuci tanganmu dulu, mama ambil makan buat kamu. (Wash your hands first, I'll take your food shortly.)

Jules: Don't let her see you.

Ananda headed downstairs and into the dining room.

Jules (on comms): (to Player) I've lost sight of Ananda every time she enters that room. Have a look around.

The Player turns on a black light flashlight attachment on the dart gun to look for prints. The Player finds prints on a painting and a wooden wall. This discovery reveals that there is a hidden room.

Jules (on comms): You're running out of time. Find the briefcase.

Player enters the photography dark room.

Jules (on comms): I've lost your visual.

The player turns on the lights in the room and finds the briefcase on a countertop. They open it to find money, a U.S. passport, and photos of a nuclear device.

Jules (on comms): Player, did you get anything yet?

Player: Yes, I've found the briefcase. It contains a photograph of the nuclear device, cash, a passport, and other items.

Julia (on comms): Copy that. Just embed a tracker on it and get out of there.

The player places the tracker in the briefcase and closes it. A woman's muffled voice is heard coming from inside the closet. The Player opens the closet and finds Agent Sasha tied up and gagged within. She tries to warn the player about someone being behind them, but Ananda's steel baton strikes the Player, knocking them unconscious.

The Player wakes up tied to a chair alongside Sasha in a warehouse. Folgan is seen talking to Ananda.

Folgan: You allowed him/her to break into your apartment?

Ananda: I... I can't explain it how he/she got the materials. But I brought him/her to you.

Folgan: That makes this much less unpleasant for you.Carmen Sandiego has been looking for this one.

Ananda: Then you'll let Carmen know I captured him/her?

Folgan: (see Player waking up) Oh, here comes the ACME hero/heroine.

Folgan grabs a metal folding chair and sits down.

Folgan: Carmen has a large bounty on your head.

Player: You're smuggling nukes. I saw the photos!

Folgan: Carmen Sandiego is paying me a fortune to smuggle her merchandise out of Europe. I bet she'll pay even more when she finds out I've killed you.

Folgan kicks The Player to the ground.

Folgan: You're damaged goods, but a grave will cure your dead soul.

Folgan pulls out her M9A1. Chase and the others are seen on the roof and fire smoke grenade rounds through the windows. The rescue team opens fire on Folgan and her robot army. Ananda gets shot as she is running away with the briefcase and dies. VILE Grunt robots return fire and a round hits Folgan in the shoulder and wounds her.

Folgan: Activate robots' assault mode! Kill 'em!

Folgan flees. Jules shoots a VILE robot near Player. She frees Player and helps them up.

Jules: I'll secure the case. Get Folgan.

She hands the Player an M4A1 assault rifle. Then she checks the briefcase next to Ananda and frees Sasha.

Agent Sasha: Thanks for your rescue.

The Player and others battle their way to get to Folgan. Player heads into a small room in the warehouse.

Chase: Folgan went through there! Player, take her out!

Jules: She's more valuable alive, Player! Don't kill her!

A grenade is thrown at Player and blurs their vision. Two VILE robots protecting Folgan attack and are eliminated. Folgan is seen struggling to open the exit door and gives up as she sees Player.

Folgan: So far, so good, Marine... you've got me caught.

Folgan drops her empty M9A1 to the ground.

Folgam: Go ahead, take me out or bring me to your court. That's what you're good at, isn't it?

The Player grabbed Folgan by the arms and handcuffed them behind her back.

Jules: You did it! On behalf of ACME, thank you. Folgan is ours.

Chase: More than she deserves. Now let's get the heck out of Singapore. The police will be here in any minute.

The Player and the others leave the warehouse.
