Part 4 of More to The Story. It's about a family that are the key-holders and Gatekeepers between our world/Wizarding World and Middle Earth. Adventure, friendships, and love. Part 4 picks up after the final battle of The Battle of the Five Armies, with equal parts of books and movies with the crossovers. OC's and real characters.

Everyone is together, dwarves, humans, elves, witches, and wizards, either in Dale or in Erébor. However, Jordan's curse has finally take over and she has the hardest choice she will ever have to make: love for the dwarf she would spend the rest of her life with, or the life of her brother who is counting on her to rescue him.

I do not own anything from the Hobbit or Harry Potter; only the OC's and their story. All Harry Potter/Hobbit references and characters belong to J.K. Rowling, J. R. R. Tolkien, and Peter Jackson.

Chapter 9

"Aunt Dan!" She jumped down and sprinted to her cousin. She didn't care about being in trouble, as long as her family was whole again. She slammed into her, hugging her tightly. "I knew you'd wake up soon! Come on, everyone is eating dinner."

Jordan wanted to back away, but with René pulling her forward and Galadriel's gentle but firm hand on her back, she had nowhere to go. She supposed there was no running away now. Her little cousin would not be able to keep it a secret that she saw Jordan, and she refused to obliviate the memory from her mind.

The little girl could feel her cousin digging her heels in and tugged harder to get Jordan moving. She turned to Galadriel for more help and smiled when she saw the beautiful she elf's further assistance. "Thank you, Mistress! I knew you'd help us."

Lady Galadriel smiled softly at the child. "It was my pleasure. I was honored you asked for my help."

"Come on! We have to hurry before everyone leaves the dining hall." She rushed to open the door. "I can't wait to see the look on their faces!"

Alicia was on her way back to René and froze in place at the shock of seeing Jordan. Without wasting a second, she wrapped her arms around Jordan's shoulders and balled her eyes out.

No one was really paying much attention at first, until they heard shouts and more pairs of feet rushing to them. All the present Gatekeepers joined in the hug, and were soon joined by members of the company who were still in the hall. It didn't stay quiet for long. Many people were not aware of the details, but everyone knew of Jordan's heroic actions during the battle and the rescue of her brother. Thorin kept the incident with the book of Morgoth a secret, as hardly anyone knew it was in the mountain in the first place. So, seeing the dead walk again was quite shocking, but they read the Gatekeepers reactions and joined in the cheering and happy shouts.

Jeremy immediately left to fetch his parents, his daughter, and Blair when Thorin stopped him.

"Bring them to the Hall of the Kings," Thorin wanted to make a few public declarations and with such a happy moment, he did not want to miss this opportunity. "Balin! Please gather the rest of the company. You may need to get Fili, Kili, and Bifur personally. They might not listen to anyone else. Gloin, please bring the special parcels we discussed earlier. It's time to tend to this matter." Both advisors bowed and hurried to do his bidding. Turning to Thranduil, Bard, Gandalf, Celeborn, and now Galadriel who had joined his table, "will you please join us as well?"

"Of course," Thranduil finished his cup and pushed in his chair.

The elves, man and wizard all did the same and quickly followed the elven king out. Celeborn took the thick slice of bread from his plate, buttered it, and handed it to his wife. He would get her more dinner later, but did not want to miss out what was about to take place. Galadriel smiled affectionately at him, and gave his hand a quick squeeze as they exited the dining hall.

Word quickly spread to everyone in the mountain and they all went to the Hall of the Kings. Jordan was bombarded with questions by her relatives, but she would not answer until she could confess to all the people she betrayed. She could hardly believe the reception she was receiving; having fully expected banishment from her family and friends.

The doors to the hall exploded open, Priscilla, Ruben, Jeremy, Karah, and Blair running toward her. They all wept, Blair practically jumped into Jordan's arms. He held her so tight, he was shaking and they could barely breath. Karah did not even bother waiting her turn and group hugged both of them.

When she finally had her hands free, Jordan waved to help her family understand she wanted to talk. I'm so sorry. I-.

Priscilla did not allow her to finish this statement before she engulfed her granddaughter in another hug. "None of this was your fault. You have nothing to apologize for. Blair told us everything."

Ruben didn't say a word when he hugged both is his wife and granddaughter. There was a hole in his heart that will never be filled at the loss of his daughter, his baby girl, his joy. He promised on his daughter's grave that he would give his life to keep Jordan and Blair safe. When he lost her upon arrival in Middle Earth, he panicked. When he believed she was dead, be broke down and nearly lost his mind. The only thing that kept him going was his wife. Priscilla needed him to be her rock. And in turn, she was his. The comfort and healing he was experiencing was hardly describable. Slowly, he and his wife were becoming hole again.

The doors opened and in came Balin anxiously leading Bifur, Kili and Fili. Bifur saw the family and prayed there was no more bad news the Gatekeepers were suffering through. Kili went straight to Karah, checking her over to make sure nothing was wrong. When he spotted Jordan, he wanted to hug her, but he looked back to his brother, whom was standing alone.

Fili was contemplating ignoring a direct order and returning to the front gate and continue working on the rebuilding. As much as he cared for the whole Gatekeeper family, he could not handle being around them just yet. He wanted one day to morn on his own before he took on any responsibilities to the family or his duties as a prince. He was about to sneak away quietly when the group parted so he could see what was causing the commotion.

The miracle he prayed for stood before him in the middle of the parted crowed. He sank to his knees, his legs no longer able to support his weight. Jordan ran and knelt down in front of him. She reached up and held his face softly, wiping the tears with her thumbs. She brought her forehead to his and shared a life breath together. Wanting to prove to each other that all was well, they were going to be okay.

Fili pulled her into him, crushing her in the biggest bear hug imaginable. Burying his face in the crook of her neck, hair tickling his cheeks, his nose full of her scent, a sob escaping his lungs. He wept with the last bit of energy he had, nearly fainting from breathing so heavily.

Jordan did not fair any better. She was crying so hard her body was sweating and shuddering. She wanted to hold onto Fili and never let go. This second chance she had been given would not be wasted. Over his shoulder, Jordan could see Galadriel smiling, softly nodding her encouragement to do what she never again thought possible. Jordan whispered, "Fili, I love you. And I'm so sorry."

Fili froze. He was certain he heard her speak, only he needed to be sure. "What did you say?"

Losing her courage, Jordan leaned back to sign. I-.

"No. Please say it out loud!" He begged, gently holding her hands. Kissing her knuckles, "Let me hear your voice."

Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, her voice cracking every other word from not speaking for so many years. "I'm so sorry, Fili. I love you. But if you never want to see me again, I promise to never darken your days again and leave-."

Fili would not let her finish the sentence. He kissed her knuckles once more before he kissed on her lips. More tears fell from his eyes, pouring all his emotions into this kiss. "Please don't ever leave me," he pleaded in between kisses.

"I thought you would have forgotten me by now." Jordan said weakly. "You were supposed to."

"Never!" His voice may have been quiet, but his words were firm. He stood and helped Jordan to her feet. "And we will talk about that later. But right now, I need to say something. I don't ever want to live without you. Marry me? Please?"

Jordon smiled through her tears and was about to sign again when he held her hands again.

"I will never force you to speak if you don't wish too, but I ask for this moment, and if it should happen, on our wedding day, please speak aloud the words I long to hear from you. Jordan Drake, my One and other half, will you marry me?"

"Not yet." Thorin interrupted, breaking the magic spell between the happy couple. "We have many matters to discuss." And he turned and made his way to the broken throne.
