WRECK

"THIS VILLAGE WILL PAY FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO ME!" Naruto screeched in agony, clutching his blonde locks tightly in pain. The banging in his head never ceased and the ROOT Anbu were already on their way to neutralize him for the third time today.

It seemed his presence here was more of a hindrance than an asset to Danzo. He would take that as a victory for himself. If he couldn't defeat him physically, he would wear down the man's patience. He would anger the man. He would do anything to get under that man's skin. The man who dared to try and make him submit to this detestable village.

He would make sure he perished first.

Danzo sighed.

He was greatly intrigued by the specimen that was Naruto Uzumaki. Jinchuuriki. Hates Konoha. Probable candidate for a tool. He was nothing like his snobby classmates. Right? Boy, was he mistaken. Naruto Uzumaki infuriated him on a molecular level. The boy would do anything to get under his skin, even after seemingly submitting to him.

The boy was capable of a ploy too then. Neat. He had been thinking of anything to subdue the Jinchuuriki that was Naruto Uzumaki, but the boy bounced back with more hatred and vigor every time he was captured. It was almost as if his efforts to capture him empowered him.

"Kinoe." Danzo snapped, and at his feet appeared his youngest and most prodigal ROOT member. Kinoe. He was one of Orochimaru's most successful experiments and of course, his very own prodigy.

"Yes, Danzo-sama?" The boy, Kinoe, inquired soullessly. There was an eerie vibe about this one, Danzo noted. As long as he did not betray him, it did not matter. Danzo cast his doubts aside.

"Kinoe, I have noticed that our resident, Naruto Uzumaki, is a little rowdy. Take care of him for me. Now." Danzo commanded, striking fear into the young boy's heart. It was never that Danzo was like this, only for special occasions or when someone had pissed him off a little too much. "Use whatever to subdue him, jutsu, taijutsu, hell, even your Wood Release." Danzo finished, glaring at the boy under him.

Swallowing thickly, Kinoe vanished with a nod. His target was Naruto Uzumaki and he would get the job done, no matter what. If his life depended on it, he would complete this mission.

With a roundhouse kick to the unsuspecting Naruto, he started off his barrage with a handful of shuriken flying at the blonde Jinchuuriki. Slowly, the possessed boy turned around and Kinoe's heart skipped a beat. The boy was a demon. His frame was shrouded in a dark red aura and his eyes were covered by blonde locks of hair. Even if they were visible, though, Kinoe figured they'd be empty as a void.

But that was not the most haunting part, far from it. Kinoe's soul was crushed by the amount of devilish power that surged from Naruto's body. His aura sent off waves of steam from his feet and the ground crackled and popped. Naruto lifted his head towards Kinoe and smiled, showing off all of his razor-sharp canines. Kinoe's soul chilled. Just then, his whole life flashed before his eyes.

His days as a child before the gruesome experimentation done on him, his faint remembrance of life in a tank, being implanted with foreign genes, and lastly, his failure to do as Danzo-sama commanded.

'I'm finished, but my will is still strong. I will see this battle through till the end.' Kinoe thought, knowing he'd have to go all out to face this demon, and even that wouldn't be enough to stop him.

He could only pray reinforcements would arrive in time...

Chilling screams echoed throughout the ROOT headquarters as even the emotionless ROOT members flinched at the squelches emitted from that haunted room. They would go and help their comrade defeat the demon in the name of Danzo-sama, but their leader himself had said no one would go in there.

Danzo's word was law.

Naruto continued to massacre Kinoe's disheveled body some more. Wounds erupted into rivulets of blood as Naruto repeatedly opened them up, punching them in a beastly fashion.

"Rah!" Naruto grunted as he kicked the Wood Release user straight through his already broken back. Dashing towards his location, Naruto prepared a ruthless sledgehammer that he connected with Kinoe's disgruntled face.

A scream left Kinoe's mouth, but he couldn't care less. He was enjoying himself, for the first time in forever.

"RAH RAH RAH!" Naruto grunted heavier and heavier as he released foreign, purple chakra from his hands and blasted them at his half-dead opponent. Even before the blasts could land on Kinoe's form, Naruto was there, slamming his foot into the boy's stomach.

Kinoe's stomach caved in, and blood flew out of his mouth for the last time.

Kinoe was dead.

The village was in a frenzy.

Word had spread of Naruto's capture at the hands of Danzo. It was announced by the Third Hokage and as such, the man was imprisoned with three consecutive life sentences.

Word had also spread of the evils that man was capable of. His ROOT operation is one of them. Of course, that whole program was disbanded and all of its members were returned to normal shinobi life.

The headquarters were destroyed and all sensitive information was captured and recorded by the Hokage's advisors.

Lastly, Naruto Uzumaki was recovered from the headquarters, safe and sound, much to the displeasure of the citizens of Konoha.

But one thing was kept very, very secret. Kinoe's death at the hands of Konoha's very own Naruto Uzumaki.

"Itachi?" Sasuke asked at the dinner table. His family's heads turned toward the boy, inquisitive looks on their sullen faces. "What's going on?" He continued, the sorrow on his family's face deepened. The village was in a state of lockdown, everyone was to remain in their homes for the next ninety-six hours.

"Nothing, nothing at all, Sasuke." Itachi lied through his teeth, a fake smile present on his face which was replicated by everyone in his family. He poked the boy's forehead and continued poking at his food, finding it as unappealing as ever.

"Liar," Sasuke said sternly, his gaze fixed on his older brother's face as he turned to face his younger brother once again. "You're lying. I'm not too young to understand this! I can understand, and I will!" His gaze was determined, furious, even.

"You're five, Sasuke." His mother said, her tone flat. "You will not understand this. Now please, leave the topic be. We have more than enough issues to handle." With that, Mikoto walked up the stairs and crawled into her bed, finding her food no longer appealing. The gesture was soon followed by the remaining members of the Uchiha family, leaving young Sasuke alone at the table.

"I will find out what's going on, whether you like it or not.." Sasuke said, his gaze stormy and his tone determined, "I just know it has something to do with Naruto!"

"What's going on, daddy?" Sakura Haruno asked at the dinner table. Her father and mother were both present, looking as down as ever. She didn't know if it was because Naruto was still alive or the recent news that had been circulating the village, either way, she did not like the way things were looking.

Mebuki Haruno sighed. She did not want to ruin her daughter's innocence by spoiling the secrets to her, but she felt that she deserved to know about the demon and the news about it.

"Honey, your classmate, Naruto-" Mebuki balanced, making her father scowl. "He was kid-" "Stop right there!" Izishao Haruno interrupted. This was always what happened. Sakura's parents would always fight over something as trivial as Naruto. Someone who wasn't even related to them. Someone who paid them no mind. Someone didn't even know they existed.

"Do not badmouth that boy right now! He has been through way more than you can ever comprehend!" Her father truly did astound her. He always stuck up for the boy, who to her, was pure evil. Of course, on the other hand, her mother was disgusted by his presence in the village. He was the topic of their fights. A mere boy who didn't even know them!

"Why?" Sakura asked, "Why do you fight over Naruto?! Don't you realize he doesn't even know you two?! Why can't we ever just be like a normal family, eating and laughing? NOT FIGHTING OVER A BOY WHO DOESN'T EVEN BELONG TO THIS FAMILY!"

Mebuki leveled a cold glare on her daughter for the first time. Sakura felt his insides turn cold. "Something you will never understand, Sakura. Go to your room!" She commanded, leaving no room for argument.

"I hate you!" Sakura shouted at her mother before zipping up the stairs, her cries muffled by her pillow.

"Was that really necessary, Mebuki?" Her father asked, his tone unusually cold.

"She doesn't have a clue what she's talking about! She doesn't know he was the one who killed her uncle!" Mebuki shouted out loud, before covering her mouth with wide eyes.

"Well, look what you did now, Mebuki! Damnit!" Izishao exclaimed, banging his large fist on the table. He was ready to strike his wife until-

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Sakura cried, clutching a teddy bear to her chest and sniffling. "DADDY! WHY WERE YOU GONNA HIT MOMMY?!"

"Shut up, you waste!" Her father drank yet another bottle of sake and like that, she was out like a light.

Cries wailed amongst the Haruno household as Mebuki and Izishao Haruno were arrested. Sakura was watching with wide eyes, her hands clutching her face and tears dropping rapidly from her vibrant, green eyes.

It was late in the night, yet the village was bustling for all the wrong reasons. Neighbors, hell, even clans completely defied the lockdown and ventured to the Haruno household as wails erupted from the somewhat loud but mostly quiet abode.

"Daddy! Mommy!" Sakura ran toward her two parents who gave her weak smiles. She did not know why her father acted the way he did before, he had never struck her or her mother. To him, they were precious, right?

"Just keep quiet, Sakura, we'll be back soon..." Mebuki retorted losing consciousness. Shortly after, her father, Izishao did as well. She tried to make her way through the bustling crowd and to her parents but couldn't.

Suddenly, she spotted a shinobi affiliated with the ones arresting her parents. "Sir! Why are you arresting my parents?!" She cried out to the man, hoping he would hear him. The man chortled sadistically before leveling his gaze at the pink-haired little girl, who was enraged at the fact that he was finding this whole situation humuorus.

She rushed towards the man with speed she never knew she had and tried to throw a sloppy punch at the man, but she failed. Miserably. "I don't know what it is with you, kid. But I think I'll tell you why your pathetic daddy and mommy got sent off.." He trailed, smiling sadistically.

"Your mommy is gone, forever." Sakura's world crumbled, her mother, her guide, her protector, her everything, was gone, forever. "No, no, please! Don't lie to me!" She cried out pitifully, her green orbs pouring clear tears. It was a stark contrast.

"I'm not a liar..." The man said flashing his sharp teeth, which couldn't even infuriate the girl anymore, she was shattered, crushed. Her life was stripped away from her in one day. "Your mommy just leaked an S-class secret about a certain Naruto Uzumaki."

There it was, that name! That damned name! Naruto, the source of all her problems. The one who caused their parents to fight. The one who caused their arrest. He was as bad as they said. HE WAS A DEMON! She went ballistic.

Before she could go crazy even further, his voice interrupted again. "As for daddy, let's say...you won't see him for a little while..." By that, Sakura knew what he meant, and truthfully, she could not care less, it was over, he was gone, her mother was gone..and Naruto Uzumaki would be gone too...

Ino Yamanaka could not believe her eyes. Her best friend, Sakura's parents were being jailed for something that she herself had no idea about. She trudged through the large crowds until she found long pink hair in the chaos ensuing.

Relieved, she ran over to the girl but was shocked when she saw that the vibrant green glow her eyes used to shine with was now a dull dark green. It was heart-wrenching, really, seeing her friend turn into a soulless shell of her former self in just one day.

"S-sakura?" Ino asked shakily, adjusting her hand in order to reach out to the girl she hoped was still there, the girl deep down that was still her best friend.

No answer.

"Sakura?"

No answer.

"Sakura!"

No, answer.

"It's all his fault..." Sakura trailed off, her long pink hair covering the dull green eyes that once shined with life.

"Who's fault?" Ino inquired, quirking her head to the side to get a better view of her best friend.

"Naruto," Sakura said, her voice brimming with unusual amounts of rage for a five-year-old to harbor.

"Naruto-wha?" Ino was confused as to what the little blonde boy had to do with all of this. Yeah, he was center stage of the Konoha News for escaping captivity under Danzo but what did he have to do with Sakura's parents being imprisoned?

"Uzumaki Naruto is dead the next time I see him..." Sakura said, her eyes never leaving the van that held her parents in it speeding off.
