Saphira could feel her mind slipping back into focus as she finally woke up again, however due to being underwater Saphira was unable to know just how long she'd been out for.

As soon as Saphira opened her eyes, she slowly sat up and looked around the room wondering just who it belonged to since the room was filled with tons of glowing shell-like crystals of all sorts of colors that somewhat resembled the shells that hermit crabs used for as their homes.

Saphira really wished she could tell time underwater, but she had nothing that could be used for that job which meant that Saphira would just have to find Brill since he was someone that she knew, and that he could be trusted at the current moment to not hurt her.

As though he had been summoned by Saphira's thoughts. "Glad to see your awake." Brill said as he entered the room, the young girl looked at him as she tilted her head. "Like your new room?" Brill asked with a gentle smile as Saphira blinked in surprise.

"M-my room?" Saphira asked with a slightly shy voice, Brill's smile had widened just a little bit since he didn't want to scare Saphira. "That's right! This room is yours now." Brill replied as Saphira looked around the room in wonder since it had been a long time since she had her own room.

"You've also been out for a few hours, so it's morning now." Brill added carefully, Saphira needed a moment to process what she had just been told even though it'd make sense that the krakens could tell the time while being underwater, but Saphira was now wondering if she'd made the worst first impression ever.

There was a small pause between the two as Saphira gathered her thoughts before Ruby came into the gigantic room. "Is everything alright?" Ruby asked her uncle, he nodded to the young human who was now taking some deep breaths again.

"Are you okay?" Ruby asked Saphira gently, she nodded back to the princess. "I'm alright, sorry that I had passed out, but I suppose that I hadn't gotten enough sleep lately." Saphira explained as she bowed her head to Ruby, both she and Brill knew that lack of sleep wasn't the reason, but they didn't correct her.

"Ready to be introduced to the kingdom?" Brill asked Saphira, he and Ruby watched Saphira's reaction as her eyes widened by that, but she calmed down. "Ready as I'll ever be." Saphira responded as she got up from the bed then took ahold of Brill's hand.

Ruby and Brill guided Saphira to the throne room where the rest of their family was waiting for them. "She's ready." Ruby told her Grandmamah, the queen smiled as she began to speak to all of the other krakens that had appeared to see their first human up close.

Today was a momentous occasion after all, and the krakens were having a hard time keeping their excitement in check. "Now please give a warm welcome to Saphira!" The Queen said as Brill and Saphira came into view once more, this made everyone cheer happily.

Saphira was unsure of what to do until Sam went over to her. "Just smile and wave." Sam whispered to her, Saphira did as the young prince said while the cheering continued before the queen held up her hands to silence the crowed as the cheering stopped for the moment.

"Even though Saphira was given to us as a servant, her real job will be to teach us more about humans and the surface world." The Queen said happily, that threw Saphira off as she was supposed to serve the royal family not become a teacher, however if that was an order, then Saphira couldn't disobey.

Saphira could see that every kraken's eyes were burning with curiosity as they wanted to know more about her world, but that only made her wonder why they wanted to know more about the surface world, and if they were planning an invasion or not.

Those thoughts were put aside for now as the queen announced that Saphira would start teaching everyone the next day but allowed for one of the kids to ask one question today. "Can you teach us about music, please?" A young pink female kraken asked sweetly.

Saphira blushed a little as she could never say 'no' to little kids. "What would you like to know?" Saphira asked kindly to her, the children wanted to know that if humans used music as a way to convey their emotions in order to express themselves.

"We do use music that way especially if we have a hard time putting our feelings into words since it's not always easy to express ourselves, so we find other way to express our feelings." Saphira explained to all of the krakens that were before her.

"Can you show us an example by singing to us?" Another purple male kraken asked kindly, the others agreed with his question as they began to cheer for Saphira to sing, so she looked at the royal family for help since she wasn't sure if it was a good idea.

The Queen smiled at her and her subjects as she too wanted to hear Saphira sing again. "What a wonderful idea." The Queen said as she nodded to the young human, Saphira gave in as she silently selected the best song to sing for the royal family and the other krakens and like magic, music began to play.

At the end of the song, everyone floated in silence as they processed what they had just heard before breaking into applause and cheering for Saphira who was panting after putting her all into that one song as she'd hoped to convey her feelings to the krakens, but mostly to the royal family.

The queen and her family then understood just how badly Saphira had been forced to become their servant, and that she felt like she was alone with no one on her side after how her fellow humans had treated her prior to coming to their kingdom which is why they were going to help her.

Ruby and Sam shared a look with each other, as they began to silently make plans to help Saphira adjust to her new life as the rest of their family did the same, however Ruby and Sam wanted Saphira to take them up to the surface to they could see it for themselves.

The princess and prince would of course ask for permission, so they wouldn't get Saphira in trouble just in case anything happened then this way everyone would know where the three went, and no one would be scolded for any sneaking around as Ruby and Sam are known to do.

Saphira on the other hand had hoped that the song would convince the royal family to let her go once they realized how badly she didn't want to be part of their kingdom since she knew something they didn't and that something was the reason she'd run away from home.

For longest time, Saphira always felt like she needed to run and hide from the very thing that made her try to hide the mark of the krakens from everyone because if she was found by that something, then all krakens and possibly the mermaids would be in danger.

Brill listened to the song in his mind and again, and finally understood that something was worrying Saphira, so he vowed to figure out what that something was in order to help protect the young human from it before it could hurt her like he felt it had before same with the rest of his family.

Meanwhile on the other side of the ocean where the mermaid kingdom is, Queen Nerissa was going through her scrolls in search of something that would help her understand the human girl Saphira as she felt that something was off with the child that would serve her allies.

"Here it is!" Nerissa said with glee, she opened the scroll and began to read what it said until the end, Nerissa's eyes had widened at what the scroll warned her about before she began smirking at the thought of Saphira being the one to bring about the end of the krakens once and for all.

After Nerissa left the library chamber, Chelsea quietly went inside and read the scroll that her mother had left out before reveling the second half of the scroll where it was mentioned that if the krakens fell, then the mermaids would be next, and it would all be because of Saphira.

"I have to warn Ruby and her family!" Chelsea said to herself, but first she would have to get past her mother and unfortunately now wasn't the time to swim off to see Ruby since Chelsea was helping her new servant Felix to settle into his new position and home.

That's when Chelsea got the idea to ask Felix some questions involving Saphira as any information he had on her would be useful to save both kingdoms from being destroyed by the very that thing Saphira would lead to them even if she would be an unwilling participant in the event.

Maybe, just maybe if Chelsea could get Grandmamah to understand the situation that involved Saphira, then maybe the young human girl could be set free before anything could happen to the kraken kingdom since Chelsea owed that much to Ruby for saving her from herself long ago.
