Alex went onto the Disney+ app, typed in "Steamboat Willie" picked the first result that popped up, and pressed play.
The title card reveals reading "Disney Cartoon Presents: Steamboat Willie, a Mickey Mouse Sound Cartoon, A Walt Disney Comic by Eb Iwerks".
In black-and-white, the next scene shows a steamboat emitting steam as a whistle blows. We see Mickey Mouse whistling to the tune of the steamboat. He blows the whistle as Pete the Cat comes to Mickey, growling. He grabs Mickey's torso, which falls out of place as he yelps, takes Pete's arm off his torso, and puts it back in place. Pete grumbles, gesturing Mickey to leave, turning his back on him as he is driving the steamboat. Mickey blows a raspberry on Pete.
Everybody laughs.
Pete goes to kick Mickey but misses as the latter jumps out of the way. Pete gets strung up as Mickey falls down the stairs.
"Ouch!" somebody exclaimed.
Mickey falls into a bucket of paint, as a parrot starts squawking and laughing as Mickey angrily throws the bucket at the parrot.
Parrot: Help! Help! Man overboard!
Everybody laughed.
Pete straightens himself up, chews some chewing tobacco and spits it out, as it hits a bell. Pete laughs about this. He continues but this time it hits him in the face.
"Karma!" Ned exclaimed.
Pete grumbles, as we see some animals: chickens and a cow. The chickens cluck while the cow is eating grass. A duck quacks as the Cow, Fob, moos. The steamboat comes by the animals as the boat stops by Fob. Mickey puts a collar on Fob's udders, as Pete grabs the cow. Fob angrily sprays milk on Mickey in the process. Mickey tries to knock Fob down by using the collar and trying to push it, but as he is too skinny, he is unable to push Fob. He uses some hay to hold down Fob enough so it can get picked up by Pete. Minnie Mouse comes carrying a guitar and yelling. Mickey gets on the steamboat as Minnie is left behind, as she keeps yelling. She runs across the yard, yelling at Mickey.
Minnie: Hey! Hey! Hey!
Mickey uses a fishing net to grab Minnie by the skirt as Fob eats her song ("Turkey in the Straw") notes, causing the music symbols to come off the notes. Minnie blushes at Mickey as she gestures at the situation. Mickey then angrily confronts Fob, and touches it as the tones start chiming in the system. He smiles, making Fob open its mouth as he gestures for Minnie to come over there. He reveals that the tones are making Fob sing the tones. Minnie cranks Fob's tail, making Fob sing the tones of "Turkey in the Straw". Mickey gets some kitchen equipment, and uses it to start making a rhythm to the tone of the song. As Mickey continues playing to the rhythm, a duck shakes its head to the tone as a cat shows up.
Cat (to the tone): Meow! Meow!
Everybody started humming to the tone.
Mickey stepped on the cat's tail as it kept meowing. Mickey used the duck to quack to the rhythm of the song. He grabs some piglets' tails as they are getting milk from their mother, causing them to squeal to the rhythm. He picks up the mother knocks the piglets off of her, and touching her udders, making her oink to the rhythm of the song. A parrot nods to the rhythm as Minnie is shown, still cranking Fob's tail. Mickey opens a cow's mouth as it moos, using its teeth as a xylophone to the rhythm of the song, before quickly also doing it to "A Shave and an Haircut". He then notices Pete, and smiles and whistles nervously as Pete grabs him and sends him into an room, gesturing him to chop up potatoes as the bird returns to laugh at laugh at Mickey, who throws a potato at him out of the window.
Bird: Help! Help! Help!
The title card reads "The End". Credits roll and end of short.
