"I sense his presence, I will notify you when the task is complete." The female voice spoke.
'Carp! How the help is Desna here!? She's supposed to be dead! Dammit! Now I sound just like Naomi when she swears!' Copen thought angrily.
Desna then got off her phone call with Zonda before walking toward where Copen was.
"What are you doing here Desna?" Copen interrogated.
"Zonda has partnered with Nova to use the Muses song to eliminate all Adepts. You see, instead of using Lumen's songs that merely just amplify Septima's, Zonda decided to try a different approach. This time, we're using a recording of Naomi's songs to drive Adepts to suicide since it's easier to use the CD and not have to capture her." Desna answered.
Copen then aimed his gun at Desna before giving her a snide look.
"Where's your base of operations for this scheme?" Copen questioned.
"At a Renault car factory in France. But it doesn't matter if you know or not because your fate will be the same either way." Desna spoke.
"And that is?" Copen sneered.
"Death by my hands." Desna remarked.
Suddenly, Desna transformed. Desna gained black eyes with bright yellow irises, with thin, matching hair. She wore slender black and gray armor, with yellow areas on her cleavage, neck, and feet. She also gained a large hoop attached to the back of her head, which sprouts four long, ribbon-like pieces of hair.
Suddenly, Desna launched two massive hair drills to attack Copen horizontally. Copen then used Bullit Dash to go between the drills and tag Desna. Back at the Kadic dorms, Xana informed the others of the attack.
"T-this is insane!" Jeremy exclaimed.
Everyone else then walked over.
"What's the problem Einstein?" Ulrich wondered.
"It seems the Factory is under attack." Jeremy responded.
Xana then appeared on Jeremy's computer like how Aelita did before she was materialized.
"Merak is using the power of the Supercomputer to broadcast Naomi's songs up to 10 times the original band width. Now these song's aren't like Lumen's. Instead of making Adepts happy, since Naomi originally had the Muse Septima, it allows her exact emotions to be felt by whoever listens to them.
In this case of the CD they're using, it'll drive the Adepts listening to suicide." Xana notified.
Back at the UTU media tower, Naomi heard the time she sang Digital Daggers No Easy Way Out come on before she banged her right fist before crying while Gunvolt was looking at Naomi who was 2 yards away from him before looking west from the top corner of the platform.
Lola proceeded to transform and sing in Naomi's place.
"I'll be strong, dreaming of when they're gone." Naomi sang under her breath.
Gunvolt turned his attention back to Naomi, before raising his right eyebrow.
"What did you say?" GV pondered aloud.
"Ellie Goulding, Lights. It was some of the lyrics." Naomi explained.
Naomi then decided to call Jeremy to vid chat with him. She decided to use the link to Jeremy's school computer.
"Hey guys." Naomi greeted.
Jeremy quickly noticed a picture of Naomi with Gunvolt in the background.
"Where are you guys!?" Jeremy queried.
"We're at the very top platform of the UTU media tower." Naomi replied.
"What about the Factory?" Ulrich wondered.
"That's to easy. I'll just either override the command on the Factory Interface to play the CD or make it get ejected." Xana added.
Naomi then cancelled out, along with Xana. The AI then leaked into the Factory Interface before breaking the CD into 4 fragments and placing the 'error' on the screen in red while replacing the 'o' with his logo and leaving the background black.
"What the hell?" Merak muttered curiously.
Suddenly, Merak's entire body shook when the Factory Interface CD reader opened and displayed the damaged disc. Merak then decided to call Nova. Xana then hacked Lola so Naomi and Gunvolt could listen in on the conversation.
"Hello?" Nova greeted.
"I swear this place is haunted." Merak worried.
"There is no such thing as 'haunted'." Nova commented.
"Well I hate to break it to ya but there is!" Merak protested.
"Did you complete the task?" Nova questioned.
"Yup." Merak answered.
"Excellent, you can come back now." Nova added before ending the call.
Xana then stopped the call intercept from Lola.
"What just happened?" Gunvolt pondered aloud while Naomi put her com into her left ear after shrinking her headset.
"Hey, can you guys hear me?" Naomi hoped.
"Loud and clear Naomi." Jeremy responded.
"Xana just hacked Lola to let GV and I listen in on a conversation between Nova and Merak. It turns out Xana did something with the Factory Interface and made Merak think the place is haunted. If I were you guys, I'd get that checked out ASAP. Hopefully Merak or Xana didn't do anything drastic." Naomi spoke.
"We'll have to do it tomorrow. If anyone get's caught out of their dorms past curfew, it's instant detention," Jeremy procrastinated before ending the call. "Well, let's go to bed guys, we've got a long day ahead of us tomorrow." Jeremy added.
The dorm duo headed across the hall from Jeremy while Aelita went upstairs.
