Back with the QUILL team, everyone couldn't believe what they just heard. Mainly the fact that Naomi 'broke'.
"When Viper comes through that door, I want you all to have your equipment locked and loaded. Is that clear?" Asimov ordered.
Everyone else nodded. Suddenly, Viper opened the door to see a barrage of Bullits. However, Viper used his 'Angered Explosion' Septima to melt the Bullits into a puddle at his feet. Just then, the melted Bullits turned into boiling blood that coiled around Viper who then ran away, surprisingly with mere first degree burns.
"Well, that was a pretty heated fight." Zeno quipped.
After returning home, Naomi seemed to calm down a little. Naomi's mother however had heard about the situation and was not pleased.
Copen knocked on Naomi's bedroom door and hoped she didn't cry herself to sleep.
"Come in." Naomi sniffled.
Copen then walked in and sat to the right of Naomi.
"Well, mom's downstairs and losing it. So, what exactly happened?" Copen spoke.
"L-Lola." Naomi whispered sadly.
"What happened to her? Why didn't she come back with you?" Copen wondered.
"Viper crushed Lola, under his foot and told me the same thing would happen to Mytyl if I didn't report to the Sumeragi building's 9th floor." Naomi explained.
Copen shook his head.
"They probably don't even know where here is." Copen doubted.
Naomi rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, says the maniac who went chasing after her on the Seraph." Naomi stated.
