With the Lyoko Warriors, they were asking Mr. Delmas what happened.
"Well, it's, I'm afraid I can't explain it to you. For alongside breaking international trust with Japan's government with France's, it would be next to impossible to explain said past events." Mr. Delmas spoke.
The group then walked out.
"Something must have happened with Naomi." Ulrich theorized.
"It's the only logical option." Jeremy agreed.
Everyone looked around to check for Stratos, Viper or Nova. What they didn't know however, was the Mantis was camouflaged with the trees in the park. Aelita then walked home with Yumi.
"So, what do you think Naomi did to get herself in Mr. Delmas' office?" Yumi wondered.
Suddenly, the Mantis fired a laser that cut down a tree. It was about to fall on Aelita. But Yumi pushed her out of the way, only to take Aelita's place stuck under the tree. Aelita then called Jeremy.
"Hello?" Jeremy spoke.
"Jeremy, I need you to come with Ulrich and Odd as fast as you can." Aelita answered rapidly.
"What happened?" Jeremy asked.
"There was a huge thing that looked like a line of fire that slashed a tree down. It was about to land on me but Yumi pushed me out of the way but got stuck under the tree instead." Aelita explained.
"I'll get them and I'll meet you there." Jeremy commented before ending the call and going next door to Ulrich and Odd's dorm.
"We have a problem guys." Jeremy notified.
"What is it Einstein?" Ulrich wondered.
"Aelita and Yumi were in the park when Aelita says a tree fell. She told me she saw something that to me sounded like a laser. Yumi tried pushing Aelita out of the way but got stuck under the tree instead." Jeremy elucidated.
Odd and Ulrich then ran to the park. When they got there, the boys were shaken to their cores. Suddenly, the Mantis launched another laser. Everyone then noticed the ground was shaking. It also made a 'clang'.
Then the group heard another 'clang' followed by a 'hiss'. When the gang looked up, they were horrified by the Mantis.
"Looks like Xana turned his back on us." Yumi spoke.
Suddenly, Xana walked around the corner, took off his hoodie and unplugged the earbuds he had before turning off the music.
"I didn't backstab you." Xana remarked.
"How are we gonna move the tree? And what about the tank?" Jeremy worried.
"I have an idea." Xana notified.
Xana then tried to call Naomi.
"Yeah?" Naomi spoke.
"I'm in the park. We found a Mantis tank. It cut a tree down. Yumi pushed Aelita out of the way but got stuck herself." Xana informed.
Naomi nodded.
"I'm on my way." Naomi spoke before getting up and looking at Copen.
"You can come if you want to you know." Naomi added.
Copen nodded before walking out the door with Naomi.
Naomi's jaw dropped when she saw the Mantis.
"Naomi!" Ulrich shouted.
Naomi turned and saw Ulrich before running over to where he was.
"What is that!?" Ulrich asked while pointing to the Mantis that was starting to shoot at the ground.
"Everybody jump!" Naomi shrieked.
Naomi went to the right side of the tree and pushed it up and away. Yumi and Naomi then jumped on it to not get shot.
"Don't you have Prevasion?" Copen wondered.
"I could use it but if I had to use my Prevasion the thing would be shooting us here. So I'd have to make everyone duck. That's it! I'm going to bed! Let me know when your done. Or even better so I don't have to deal with ya, take Lola. Oh, wait." Naomi spoke sadly.
Suddenly, Naomi's watch turned on by itself.
"Naomi, could you please explain to me why Lola was in shambles?" Dr. Kamizono queried.
"Wait, what do you mean by 'was'?" Naomi wondered.
"Yeah, what's up with that?" Lola agreed.
"Lola! Thank goodness your alright!" Naomi cheered.
Naomi and everyone else then jumped to dodge the Mantis' jump attack.
"I'll get back to you in a bit. Bye." Naomi spoke before turning off her watch.
"Just how are we gonna defeat this thing!?" Odd pondered aloud.
The only downside to it's formatting is if it's head takes a significant enough amount of damage it has an extremely fragile core that will be exposed for a few seconds.' Naomi remembered Nova saying.
"Odd, you and Aelita go grab some rocks. Ulrich and Yumi, you two go find some vines and sticks." Naomi commanded.
"Huh? Why do you want them to do that?" Jeremy wondered.
"Because, you guys are going to be shooting rocks from homemade slingshots." Naomi informed.
Naomi then pulled out her gun before tagging and flashing the Mantis. The others then returned with the materials.
"Okay, you guys get started with the slingshots, I'll keep shooting." Naomi notified.
