Naomi was given a plate of shrimp alfredo with melted sharp cheddar cheese and broccoli on the side with a bowl of red grapes for dessert along with a can of Pibb Xtra Zeno gave her earlier for while they played video games.
"How'd your games go?" Mytyl asked.
"They went awesome but I got bored and I'm stayin' back. I was supposed ta go back an' continue playin' after I ate. So I'll text Zeno, GV an' Joule to tell Lumen that I quit." Naomi replied.
Naomi saw Mytyl was giving her broccoli a really nasty expression. Copen noticed it too.
"Does anyone else want my broccoli? I don't think I'll be able to eat it all." Mytyl questioned.
"I know ya hate broccoli but it's good to eat it. It'll make ya feel better an' get taller." Naomi responded.
"It's hardly fair to the broccoli." Copen remarked.
"What's so bad 'bout it? Ya ain't eatin tiny trees. Worst that'll happen is gettin' a bud stuck between ya teeth." Naomi assured.
Mytyl cautiously lifted a bite of broccoli from her plate to her mouth, fork and hand shaking.
"Lemme guess, it threatened ta throw mutagen in your face?" Naomi laughed.
"I don't think it's a good idea to tease her like that." Copen remakred.
"Aight, I'll stop." Naomi huffed angrily.
"Mytyl, you thought of covering your broccoli in sour cream, salt, pepper or all the above? You can make it seem like snow." Lola suggested.
"Uh, thanks Lola but we're tryna stop her from thinkin' it's trees." Naomi rebuked.
"They taste terrible! All veggies do! What's the point in eating them?" Mytyl huffed.
"Tomatoes are nutritionally balanced vegetables, containing many vitamins, potassium, anti-oxidants and large amounts of lycopene. You should really eat them." Copen stated.
"It's totally cause they're red ain't it?" Naomi guessed.
Mytyl shook her head, jutted a pouty lower lip, folded her arms and proceeded to glare at the bowl of broccoli.
"An' I thought I was vengeful." Naomi added.
Just then, Naomi got an idea.
"Ya know, if ya stab it with a fork, grind it a bits with your teeth and your stomach acid melts it, that'll teach it not ta mess with you ever again." Naomi smirked.
"I know you're trying to get me to eat it." Mytyl noticed.
Dang it, curse her inherited IQ. Naomi mentally cursed.
"Broccoli can actually feel, here, I'll show ya." Naomi notified as she began to explain plants sensory capabilities to her sister.
"See? An ya didn't have ta eat it for five whole minutes." Naomi spoke.
Mytyl held her breath as she chewed the broccoli and swallowed it, followed by a sip of grape juice. Naomi applauded and Lola whistled.
"See, ain't so bad. Let's ya live longer too, less chance you'll wind up like me. It'll help ya get taller." Naomi beamed.
Naomi looked curiously at Lola who appeared to need a recharge. So, after dinner, Naomi put Lola to charge and went to bed. The next morning, Naomi decided to go to Kadic and apologize to the prnicipal.
"We're glad to have you back Naomi. However, I didn't receive a call from your employer saying you'd be here today. May I ask why that is?" Mr. Delmas spoke.
"My employer decided it would be best to take a break from my usual part of my job. I'm on paid vacation currently due to something about me they've decided to account for via some adjustments. I was hoping to return to assisting here until the adjustments are complete." Naomi explained.
"I see, feel free to roam about the campus and notify me if something occurs. During lunch one of the students can direct you to the cafeteria." Mr. Delmas informed.
"I'll begin monitoring now." Naomi confirmed as she exited the building.
When she reached the covered hall she was jump scared by a group hug, courtesy of the Lyoko warriors.
"Can't...breathe..." Naomi wheezed.
Everone backed up so Naomi could get some oxygen.
"I'm glad ta see ya'll too but please, don't try an kill me. I'm already dead so there's no point." Naomi remakred.
After locking eyes on Aelita, Naomi grabbed Aelita like she just met a puppy she was desperate to hug. Seemingly Aelita was enjoying it while Jeremy appeared to be getting jealous. He was glaring at Naomi before fake coughing and folding his arms. Continuing to stare at Naomi while he did such. Naomi noticed this then gave Jeremy the cold shoulder as she turned her head.
"You're totally jealous aren't you?" Yumi noticed.
"Was it that obvious?" Jeremy wondered.
"I'll give her back in a sec. So chill, it's just nice ta finally see her under normal circumstances." Naomi commented.
"That's right, he was forced to work for the Sumeragi during the time of your experimentation." Aelita sniffled as she hugged Naomi tighter.
Naomi pointed to Aelita with her right index finger and silently said 'take her'. So, Aelita stayed with Jeremy. The group sat on a bench in the park as Naomi explained everything.
"The reason I haven't come lately is cause I found out I got a forteenth Septim-aw fudge." Naomi spoke.
"What's wrong?" Jeremy wondered.
"I have both Azure Striker AND Psychokinesis. Is the reason they're trying to give Nova the Azure Striker so he'll become my replacement?" Naomi muttered.
"They what!?" Jeremy shouted.
Naomi nodded solemnly.
"I just found out I have fifteen Septimas actually. In order it's Azure Striker, Muse Metallon, Spiral, Hydro Pressure, Angered Explosion, Psychokinesis, Gravity, Radiant Fetters, Rebirth, the plant Septima, Hot and Cold, Overclock, Permafrost and that rupturing Septima, Raptor has it too. I've been identified as what's called a Primal Dragon. Since I have more than two Septimas.
I was given a Glaive to keep my rupturing Septima from killing anyone else. How I found out about it was from Nori. She called me at work and told me I had to get home and get my Septima sealed since in the state I was in I could kill someone. So, I decided to go home.
On the way there a Sumeragi soldier with a laser gun that stopped me. He said "This is for betraying the Sumeragi you scum". I was so startled from surprise and shock since I didn't think they'd be out in the rian. Anyways, I was frozen in place then heard a thud. When I turned around, the soldier was cut clean down the middle in two. In a pool of his own blood." Naomi explained.
"So, you can kill without any physical exertion? You just think about it?" Odd wondered.
Naomi nodded.
"Maybe you can think about eliminating the Sumeragi and end them like that." Yumi supposed.
"Heh, I wish it'd do that. But I got it sealed right now though." Naomi added.
"Imagine how bad it'd be if Copen got ahold of that Septima." Odd shuddered.
"The boss would neer let me live that down. Now, it'd be even worse if something happened ta GV. Lumen an Joule'd have a frickin fit an a half." Naomi added.
"Is there any way to unseal the Septima?" Aelita queried.
"Not without going into overdrive? No way." Naomi denied.
"Oh yeah, the form you get, with the purple, what's it called?" Aelita sked.
"Grimoire, also called Armed Phenomenon. It's when a Septima sealed by a Glaive is returned to its owner. That's not what I have though. What you're talking about is my Primal Dragon transformation. Nova has a secondary form, he looks like a robot and sounds like one too. I don't have the same transformation as him though. The Primal Dragon part is when I get scared, my Septimal powers increase. And it's not Armed Phenomenon or Grimoire." Naomi answered.
"So, it's a Primal Dragon transformation?" Jeremy theorized.
"Bingo. Bad thing is, if the Sumeragi finds out about those unknown Septima's and this whole Primal Dragon mess, they'll definitely wanna experiment on me." Naomi replied.
Aelita shivered remembering all of physical and mental suffering Naomi went through while being experimented on by the Sumeragi.
"Thank you for sleeping over Naomi, I had fun." Aelita thanked.
"No prob Aelita, just ask an I'll be right over." Naomi smiled.
"Maybe you could come by my house sometime and scare Hiroki into behaving." Yumi joked.
"Actually, I remember Naomi saying she'd sleep over next week." Aelita lied.
"Well Naomi messaged me saying she'd sleep over tomorrow." Yumi remarked.
"Right after she woke up Naomi told me she wanted to sleep over again today." Aelita rebuked as she hugged Naomi to her right side with both arms while glaring at Yumi.
Naomi looked at Jeremy with a 'what the heck is goin on here' expression while enjoying the supposed "hug" from Aelita.
"So, why are you two arguing over Naomi?" Jeremy queried.
"Yeah! I didn't say any a that mess!" Naomi shouted.
"Wait, you're lying!?" Yumi and Aelita interrogated.
"Yes, both a ya'll, now release me!" Naomi hollered as she tried to break free of Aelita's grasp.
"Why are you two so insistent on Naomi sleeping over!?" Jeremy yelled.
"Yumi's glad ta have a friend from Japan and poor Aelita's lonely as all getout and sad as they come so she needs a friend she can relate too. No offense." Naomi answered.
"None taken." Yumi assured.
"Then maybe they can both sleep over at your lace for the night?" Ulrich supposed.
"My mom was so happy to hear I had friends I'm pretty darn surprised she didn't squeal. Nori said around noon though I'd have ta tell her so she could let the cooks get a final head count ahead of time which ain't a prob. They love their jobs, said they'd refuse to work anywhere else. One taught me to make spaghetti sauce when I was four." Naomi responded.
So, Yumi and Aelita called their parents to get permission while Naomi called Nori to inform her the girls were sleeping over.
"So, any specific time ya'll gotta be home?" Naomi asked.
"We have to go back to school and keep making our parents think we're in summer school. So we have to grab some pajamas and clean clothes for tomorrow." Yumi notified before leaving with Aelita.
While they grabed their clothes, Naomi talked to the boys.
"I feel sorry for you." Ulrich laughed.
"Yeah, you're going to be stuck with four people. I can't imagine that." Odd laughed.
"You're one outta five siblings so I thought you'd get it. An I dunno, have some advice!" Naomi retorted.
"Not a bit, sorry." Odd apologized.
"If Yumi needs any advice on annoying younger broths when she gets back, I got an idea or two." Naomi commented.
A few minutes later, the girls returned.
"I can pick clothes faster than you can breathe." Naomi remarked.
"Sorry about that, Hiroki wouldn't stop hounding me about where I was going." Yumi stated.
"No annoying brothers, no research, I think ya'll will be jsut fine." Naomi smiled.
"If that's the case then you'll probably die again." Yumi teased.
"The annoyin li'l bro made me wanna throw my research equipment at him once though." Naomi remembered.
The group laughed.
"Well, let's go. We'll see ya'll tomorra." Naomi grinned as she saluted the boys, winked with her right eye and teleported herself with the girls to Naomi's room.
