"One day I woke up burning hot. My mom came in my room to wkae me up. But when she tried to hug me she noticed my arm temp was hotter than normal. She asked Nori to get a thermometer so she could see exactly how hot I was. Turns out 104.3 degrees farenheit is NOT a normal temp for a Primal Dragon.

So, I got dunked in an ice bath, cortesy of my mother. My temp still didn't go down so Nori was told to get me some liquid grape childrens Tylenol which sadly I was forced to take. I was back in bed with my mom holding my hand paler than I was. My dad called a regular doctor since the term gets thrown around frequently and Septimas had nothing to do with the reason why I was sick.

The regular doctor came six hours later. In that time my body rejected my food and prior medication. The rest of my body retaliated against any form of movement that wasn't eye related. The doctor came and asked my mom if I had taken any Tylenol and she said yeah. The doctor gave me some more Tylenol and, from what I've been informed, told my parents the worst and creuleest words they could and have ever heard.

He said "There's nothing else we can do for her.; all you can do now is wait for her to die.". But he only said that after looking at my file. Meaning he knew I had at least one Septima. People in Japan live in constant fear of Adepts so the Sumeragi probably sent him as an undercover scientist of theirs.

After I went to bed that night, I was completely unconscious for three days. I saw what looked like a black screen with white dots and gray in the bottom left corner. After I woke up, they gave me a cup of ramen noodles so it would be light on my stomach. My mom woldn't stop hugging me and crying.

I was isolated from anyone except her, Nori and some doctors they trusted to keep an eye on my sister Mytyl. And we never saw that doctor ever again. If they were a Sumeragi scientist, they probably wanted to test whether or not I had Rebirth Septima." Naomi droned before drinking some tea and grabbing another calamari ring to enjoy.

Everyone at the table was in shock. After reating the final 2 calamari rings, Naomi moved onto the ramen, which luckily wasn't cold despite her lengthy speech.

As she ate her first bite of it, another question was asked.

"So, since you're undead, are you a zombie too? Like some kind of hybrid? Do you eat brains?" Hiroki questioned.

Yumi kicked Hiroki's left ankle with her right foot under the table. Naomi poked Yumi's left ankle with one of her chopsticks and said "it's fine" through gritted teeth.

"How long hhave you been dead for in years?" Mrs. Ishiyama asked.

"I turned fifteen recently and that flu incident happened when I was seven so that'd mean I've been dead for approximately eight years." Naomi replied.

"Do either of your parents know about your deceasment?" asked.

"Not at all, hopefully it'll stay that way. Only my brother knows." Naomi denied.

"Are you a vampire? Wait, I don't see any fangs. Do you need daily transfusions? Do you use poodle blood like Dr. Shrank?" Hiroki asked.

"If I needed even one transfusion, I'd get the quickest mode of transportation and skip the country." Naomi protested.

Hiroki laughed.

"Also, if you couldn't tell already I'm not a zombie as I don't eat brains." Naomi stated as she ate the last of her ramen.

"And if she were, she'd be green with her eyes completely white and her arms stretched straight forward doing the zombie march." Yumi disproved.

Hiroki and Naomi laughed as Yumi placed her hands forward like how zombies do in media.

"Looks like it's time for bed." Mrs. Ishiyama noticed.

"Goodnight, sleep tight, don't let the influenza bite." Hiroki cackled.

Yumi grabbed Hiroki's console and put it in her closet.

"I can't wait to hear him looking for it tomorrow." Naomi giggled.

"I'll make sure he gets an earful before I give it back to him." Yumi stated.

Naomi and Yumi changed into their pajamas before going to bed. When the girls woke up, there was a knocking on Yumi's bedroom door.

"Yumi, do you know what happened to my game boy? It was on the sofa last night but now I can't find it." Hiroki asked.

Yumi groaned angrily and rolled over as she placed her pillow over her head.

"Sorry Hiroki, we didn't see it. Maybe your mom has it." Naomi lied.

The girls could hear retreating footsteps echoing into silence.

"Thanks, I thought he'd never leave." Yumi thanked.

"No prob, I do that with Copen all the time." Naomi replied.

Naomi changed into a black short sleeve shirt with bronze/gold buttons; one at the bottom center of each sleeve which ended 1 1/2 inches below her shoulders, one button over each breast pocket and three under the v-neck in a vertical line spaced 2 inches apart. She was also wearing slim straight blue jeans and her red boots. Aelita gifted Naomi a pair of earrings that looked exactly like the one Aelita wore on Lyoko so she decided to try them out. After Yumi changed as well, the girls went into the kitchen.

"I'm going see the others and tell them you won't be far since I accidentally slept in. And Hiroki, Yumi put your game in her closet last night." Naomi stated as she opened the front door and left.

Naomi had her pajamas in a backpack she brought and after walking to the cafeteria, Naomi found the boys and Aelita sitting down already.

"Odd, if you eat anymore bananas you'll explode." Jeremy remarked.

"If he exploded they'd be cleaning the walls of digested food for ages and the forensics team would be left with an unresolved cause of death." Naomi teased.

The others except Odd laughed.

"How's Yumi?" Ulrich pondered.

"Your Juliet's fine Romeo. If you two don't die together it'll be cool." Naomi joked.

Odd cackled. Ulrich wasn't pleased as Yumi walked in, until she sat down next to him that is.

"Morning, how did everyone sleep?" Yumi greeted as she slid a rectangular 12-ounce Tupperware box with a red lid to Naomi.

There was a note attached to the top of the box saying "Thank you so much for spending the night. We're so sorry about what happened to you. Hopefully this can make your day better." Naomi opened the box to reveal some more delicious calamari and some silver chopsticks with a white band an inch tall and a centimeter away from the top of the chopsticks. The white was a gradient that went from white to orange and it had a mix of red and pink cherry blossoms with white rhinestone centers.

"She thought in case you sleep over again you can have your own pair of chopsticks." Yumi explained.

Naomi began putting them to good use by giving Aelita, Ulrich, Odd and Jeremy some calamari to try.

"That was amazing, what was it?" Aelita questioned.

"Fried squid." Naomi stated.

Everyones expressions showed shock, confusion and a little disgust instantly.

"Yeah, I thought the same thing at first. But the legs are my fave now." Naomi smiled.

"It tastes like shrimp, the texture had me fooled too." Odd sighed.

"I'm going give some to Sissi." Naomi smirked as she walked over to Sissi with a piece of calamari in hand.

"Hey, I was wondering if you'd want to try some exotic food." Naomi lied as she dropped the ring on Sissi's tray and walked off.

"What is that?" Sissi asked as she poked at the calamari with her fork.

"It looks like an onion ring to me." Herve guessed.

"It doesn't look like an onion ring." Sissi rebuked as she cut the ring open with her fork.

"It's calmari." Herve informed.

"What's calamari? It sounds fancy." Sissi commented.

"It can be depending on the region. They're fried squid rings but it seems she gave you fried squid legs too." Herve explained.

"Aah!" Sissi screamed.

The contents of Sissi's tray decorated the table and surrounding area. Yumi, Naomi and the others laughed as Sissi, Nicholas and Herve began to complain. Naomi happily munched on the calmari legs she found scattered throughout the box until the principal arrived.

"What is the meaning of this!? Elizabeth, I expected better of you. It seems I have no choice but to give you seven hours of detention tomorrow." Mr. Delmas sighed before leaving. Everyone in the cafeteria was laughing.

"This'll be the best scoop we've had all month." Tamiya beamed.

"How'd the Glaive go?" Yumi wondered.

"Asimov is having Xiao remove the seal. He said it's best ta work on controlling its full power." Naomi notified.

"When do you think the seal will be removed?" Ulrich wondered.

"I'll get a call sayin' ta be careful since the Septima's at full power an ta pick up my sword. Who'll call though I think Asimov said he'd do it. But if not it'll be Xiao." Naomi elucidated.

"Are you excited?" Jeremy asked.

"I'm hi-flippin-styerical. I hate being restrained. Reminds me of my early days at Sumeragi." Naomi replied.

"What's the first thing you plan to do when you get your Septima back?" Odd questioned.

"Wow Odd, I thought you'd never talk ta me again after what happened." Naomi mocked.

Odd blushed profusely out the window to the right of him.

"Well, there goes your promise." Jeremy quessed.

There was no response from Odd.

"Is he in shock? Yoohoo, hey! EArth ta Odd! Ulrich, you know him better than I do so do something." Naomi giggled.

"What do you expect me to do?" Ulrich wondered.

"Get him ta react o his surroundings." Noami answered.

Ulrich sighed, shook his head and snapped his fingers in front of Odd's face.

"It's as if he's frozen in time." Yumi remarked.

"Not for long." Naomiii smirrked.

She then proceeed to tel the others the science behind genetic mutations of Septimas. Five minutes later, Odd was at the table snoring.

"Now we can get some peace and quiet." Ulrich smiled.

"We'll leave him here." Naomi suggested.

The others left the cafeteria. Hours later and Odd was still nowhere to be seen. Yumi took Kiwi for his walk and fed him. Eventually, Odd returned to his dorm with an angry look as he stared at the floor with his hands in his pockets. Laying on his stomach with his head under his pillow, Odd began to question the company hekept.

"What happened ta ya? You look like someone gave you seven hours of detention." Naomi retorted.

"Because that's exactly what happened." Odd admitted.

"It's not you're fault you're narcoleptic." Naomi debated.

"It's him staying up late playing video games that's doing it." Ulrich corrected.

Naomi laughed.

"What about the one time I slept in your room Jeremy and you went to tell Odd to stop playing his music so loud? Oh yeah. Oh Aelita, you're in my dreams, I can't wait until you're real." Ulrich teased.

The others snickered and gigled while Jeremy was mad.

"So, when does your probation start?" Naomi asked.

"Uh, tomorrow after breakfast. I'll be able to decide on if my lunch break can be forwarded to detention but if so then I'll have to sit with Jim." Odd complained.

The others were laughing or trying to stifle it.

"Go on, laugh it up." Odd moaned.

"Maybe you can get your clone to do the detention for you." Naomi theorized.

"I was thinking of getting whoever decided to let me stay asleep earlier get detention." Odd ranted.

Everyone pointed to Naomi.

"W-what, Naomi!? How oculd you!?" Odd stuttered.

"Ya'll can quit pointin' fingers since ya'll agreed not ta wake him up!" Naomi huffed.

The others stopped pointing and hung their heads while Kiwi was pawing at the pillow atop his masters head. However, Odd and Aelita began to pla with Kiwi while the others were happy, causing the mood to lighten. suddenly, Naomi got a call from Xiao.

"Please tell me this is the call I've been dying to get. Or living, you get the idea." Naomi hoped.

"Your sword is no longer a Glaive and you can come pick it up." Xiao confirmed.

"Thanks Xiao you're the best!" Naomi cheered.

Naomi ended the call and teleported to HQ to retreive her weapon. After sheathing the sword into the scabbard on Naomi's back under her shirt to hide the sword handle under her ponytail, Naomi smiled.

"Man, sheathing that thing never felt so epic. I can't thank you enough, I feel free again." Naomi beamed.

"I'm glad I could help, it allowed me to learn about the construction of Glaives too. Maybe it can be used in future projects." Xiao smiled.

"I'm going to pick it up, thanks again." Naomi thanked as she teleported home.

After placing the sword in her closet, Naomi went to bed.
