Everyone was able to finish on time. Naomi left a five dollar tip and left with the guys. They were able to return to their work stations as soon as Naomi's watch alarm for lunch break went off.
"An, that's time." Naomi smirked.
The day was fantastic, working in silence. Naomi hung back with Zeno to call Odd and teleported herself to Quinn's front door after. Naomi knocked and was greeted by a happily beaming Quinn Sakurazaki.
"How's work been?" Quinn wondered as she and Naomi sat in the liing room sipping chamomile, ginger and lavender geen tea.
"I'ts been good." Naomi assured.
"I heard about your rupturing Septima, GV called and told me about it?" Quinn stated.
"Huh. He did, did he? Well then, I'll have to tell him when I go back to work tomorrow that I don't want him doing that ever again." Naomi seethed.
"Huh? Do you think I'll be afraid of you?" Quinn pondered.
"Yeah, he didn't tell you about my Primal Dragon transformation did he?" Naomi worried.
"No, but the news did." Quinn responded as she turned on the TV.
"The individuals true identity is still unknown. Their appearance is shoulder length white hair with a purple streak, black and purple eyes. They were last seen wearing a purple bodysuit with silver palents and purple knee high boots with silver laces. The suspect is said to have multiple Septimas. The list includes the following: Azure Striker, Angered Explosion, Muse, Spiral, Hydro Pressure, Psychokinesis, Gravity Well, Radiant Fetters, Rebirth, plant Septima, Hot and Cold, Overclock, Permafrost, Reverie Mirror, Duelist, Magnetic Arts, Lightspeed, rupturing Septima, Metallon, Marionette and The Fly Septima. The list is still ongoing. The individual may also have a sword or AR-15 on them. If you see this individual, call 911 immeadiately. Now, the stock market is said t-" Quinn turned off the TV while Naomi was sipping her tea agonizingly slow.
She was trying to drink it as slowly as possible so she wouldn't have to talk to Quinn.
"Aren't you already on thin ice with QUILL for hacking into the Sumeragi's website?" Quinn remembered.
Naomi glanced at the speaker before returning her attention to the hot beverage in front of her. She began to fake doze off. Naomi knew Quinn was onto her scheme, so she decided to lull Quinn into a false sense of security.
"Sorry, it's just nice to know there's somewhere I'll always be safe and elcome." Naomi yawned as she sretched.
Naomi could see Quinn's shoulders slowly but surely loosen up.
"Were you kidnapped as a kid?" Quinn asked.
"P-pardon? D-did I hear you right?" Naomi asked.
"I was just curious, I saw some old footage GV had from when the Sumeragi experimented on him and Asimov freed him. It looked like he kidnapped GV at first and I got to wondering..." Quinn explained.
"Yeah, an it was frickin' Zeno too. I got in a fight with some Adept punk on the streets. For the record no it wasn't Viper. Anyways, after beating the guy up, Zeno snook up on me an knocked me out from behind. I was furious when I woke up. But since I got to check on someone it was fine. Eneded in me working for QUILL so it's cool. It's a lot better than who I was working with before." Naomi elucidated.
"I-is it true that you were working for the Sumeragi before?" Quinn asked.
Naomi chugged the rest of her tea.
"Yeah, and it wasn't fun either." Naomi commented.
"It seems tough." Quinn noticed.
"Tough isn't even the start." Naomi cackled.
"Did they treat you alright?" Quinn queried.
"It depends on which deparment you're askin' about. I know you're talkin' about the Adept research department which wasn't the best. The tech department was fun, I got to help them with their projects from time to time. The Department of Message Propagation, which seemed more like propaganda, was a total snoozefest. I hated it extra because Nova did a lot of work with them. From what I saw about the recording about his speech regarding Lumen he still works in that department sometimes." Naomi remembered.
"How many departments do you remember there being?" Quinn questioned.
"At least eight." Naomi informed.
"Do you take on missions by yourself?" Quinn guessed.
"Not all the time. Sometimes I get ta work with GV, Zeno or Asimov." Naomi stated.
"Is there someone you like working with best?" Quinn supposed.
"Don't tell any of the guys but Moniqa's my personal favorite." Naomi giggled.
"It's getting late, I'll get started on dinner." Quinn notified as she stood up.
"If you want I wouldn't mind helping." Naomi offered.
"A-are you sure? It's just simple one pot spaghetti." Quinn squeaked.
Naomi nodded as she ran into the kitchen to grab the spaghetti noodles, ground beef, tomato sauce, tomato paste, onion, garlic and set it on the counter. Quinn was shocked by the scene when she reached the kitchen.
"W-wow, I can't believe you got all of this by yourself in such a small time frame." Quinn gasped.
Naomi grinned. While Quinn was preparing the ingredients and Naomi opened the cans, the latter was telling of how she assisted the chefs in the exact same manner. Quinn was so engrossed in the story that she forgot the spaghetti was simmering so it almost overflowed. Naomi and Quinn sat happily as the former told stories of her childhood mischief making.
"Which time did you get in the most trouble?" Quinn wondered.
"Can't you ask something easier? Like what does one plus one equal?" Naomi huffed.
Quinn laughed.
"Honestly, I think the most trouble I gave was when I ran up and down the facility. I discoered the rooftop that night and was walking near the edge. Nobody knew I was outside. Until I was supposed to be experimented on and was nowhere to be found. The soldiers looked everywhere in the building and outside of the building. From what I've heard one of the soldiers at the front of the building noticed me on the roof. That night I never saw more security guards that day than I ever saw all my other days there combined." Naomi reminisced.
