Episode 13: Pup Pup Goose! The Dalmatian And The Wolf Cub!

October 7th, 2029

"Not a goose… not a goose." Marshall sighed as he looked through the periscope.

"No luck, eh, Marshall?" Ben commented, giving the dalmatian a head scratch.

"Nope, but I'm sure they'll be here soon." Marshall responded, putting his eye back in the periscope.

Meanwhile, Alex, Rocky, and Rubble were building the nest for the geese. "The leaves from around the Lookout make a comfy nest for tired geese!" Rocky said.

"They'll be hungry too! They gonna be wanting food!" Alex growled happily, his tail wagging. He was excited at the idea of chasing the birdies.

"Alex, remember, we aren't chasing them. Anyways, I brought bread!" Rubble exclaimed, dumping his shovel full of bread into the nest.

"Bread! Perfect!" Rocky barked, wagging his tail.

Back at the Lookout, Marshall still wasn't seeing anything. "What about those?" Ryder asked, pointing to a group of geese flying in a V formation.

Marshall's eyes lit up when he saw them through the periscope. "YES! Geese! WOO WOO WOO WOO! The geese are coming!" Marshall shouted in excitement and joy.

In his excitement, he accidentally landed on the slide and slid backwards down it, before bouncing off his fire truck and landing in the nest. "The geese are coming!" Marshall told Rocky, Rubble, and Alex.

The wolf cub giggled. "We know!" He laughed.

The geese landed in the nest and began to eat the bread. "They like the nest you pups made!" Ryder complimented the pups' handiwork.

A small gosling waddled over to Skye's pupmobile. "Where are you going, silly goose?" Skye snickered.

The little bird chirped before scurrying over to a bucket left on the lawn and getting his head stuck in it. It managed to start rolling down the hill. "I got him!" Marshall promised. It ended up with Marshall and the bucket rolling to the bottom of the hill.

The pup came back with the yellow bird. "Nice work, Marshall!" Ryder praised.

"Marshall, you have a new BGFF!" Skye chuckled.

"A new what ?" Marshall asked in confusion.

"What's a… BGFF?" Alex wondered.

"B est G oose F riend Forever!" Skye cackled. Everyone laughed at that. Fuzzy continued to hang out with Marshall, and Ben could tell that they were becoming really close. The dalmatian even slept together with Fuzzy, the name of the duckling.

The next morning, Ben yawned as he woke up. As he and Ryder left the lookout after getting dressed and having breakfast, Marshall came running up to them with a worried expression on his muzzle. "Ryder, Ben! Fuzzy is gone. We have to find him before his flock leaves." Marshall cried out.

"Don't worry, Marshall! We'll get Fuzzy back in time for him to go with his flock." Ben reassured the dalmatian.

"That's right, Marshall. No job is too big, no pup is too small!" Ryder declared. Everyone was still in their puphouses, and Ben got in the elevator before Marshall. The spotted pup did a flip and bonked his tush into the walls before the lift started to ascend. The mechanical arms extended and dressed the pups in their uniforms, and then got to the top.

Ben and the pups stepped out of the elevator, standing at attention. Alex was rolling around on the ground, playing with a squeaky toy. "Pups, we have an emergency in our own backyard. Our geese friends have to migrate with the rest of their flock. But they're missing one little goose." Ryder explained, an animatic playing on the screen.

"Poor Fuzzy… it's all my fault!" Marshall moaned.

"No, it's not." Ben argued.

Ryder tapped his foot, bringing their attention back to the mission. "If we don't find Fuzzy fast, the flock will have to leave him behind. Chase, I'm going to need you to use your megaphone to call out to Fuzzy. And Marshall, Fuzzy would follow you anywhere. I need you to help look for him too." Ryder instructed, giving out the assignments.

"I'm fired up!" Marshall roared.

"Chase is on the case!" Chase cried out.

"PAW Patrol is on a roll!" Ryder cheered as he scaled down the pole while the pups slid down the slide and got in their vehicles.

"Marshall, don't worry. We'll find Fuzzy. I know we will!" Ben reassured.

"Go Marshall!" Alex howled encouragingly.

Outside the lookout, Chase used his megaphone to do a goose call, but did not find any luck with it. "Fuzzy doesn't seem to be responding…" Chase sighed.

Marshall then sniffed out a feather, recognizing the scent. "This is Fuzzy's feather!" The spotted canine called out.

Chase ran over and sniffed the feather, before sneezing. "Aaah-choo! I'm a little allergic to feathers… he went this way!" Chase replied, sniffing the feather and sneezing before getting in his vehicle and driving into the city. Ben followed Ryder and the pups on his motorcycle, wanting to get in on the action.

Arriving at the train station, Chase tracked the scent to a trash can. "Fuzzy… achoo… went by here!" Chase told them all.

They then heard the familiar chirping of Marshal's goose pal, and Ryder saw him on top of the building. "Look up there, those gulls are stealing Fuzzy's food!" Ryder noted.

"Hey! Pick on someone your own size!" Marshall snarled. This surprised Ben a lot- Marshall never snarled. Perhaps his emotional attachment to Fuzzy made his protective instincts flare up?

"Fuzzy! Fly down here!" Marshall suggested to the little bird. Ben gasped in horror as he saw the trash hooped around Fuzzy.

"The plastic soda ring is keeping him from being able to fly! He could fall! Marshall, quick, use your ladder to get the goose down. I'll be ready to catch him if he falls." Ben ordered.

"I'm fired up!" Marshall roared, running and getting in the fire truck before driving up. Chase snared one of the seagulls in a net.

Fuzzy started to fall, but Marshall thought quick, and flipped his hat off so he could grab it with his mouth. Holding it out, he used his own fire helmet to catch Fuzzy before scaling down the ladder. Ben helped remove the soda ring from Fuzzy, and the bird flapped before Marshall fell down and landed on his back.

Back at the lookout, the flock was beginning to leave. "Fuzzy, there goes your flock. You need to catch up with them!" Ryder told the little goose.

"Don't worry, Fuzzy. When you fly back north, we'll see you again. And when you migrate back south, you'll see us again. And then when you fly north…" Marshall reassured.

"Uh, Marshall? Fuzzy needs to get going. Go ahead. Just keep flapping and you'll catch up." Ryder reminded the pup and his friend.

Ryder threw Fuzzy into the air, and the goose chick started to flap his wings and fly away. Marshall sniffled. "Bye Fuzzy…" The dalmatian sadly said.

Ben patted Marshall on the head. "It's not a goodbye forever, Marshall. I think it's really sweet that you bonded with Fuzzy like that." Ben chuckled.

Fuzzy looked back and then came to perch on Marshall's head. "I don't think he wants to go." Marshall realized.

"If he doesn't leave now he'll never catch up. A little gosling belongs with his family, Marshall." Ryder replied.

"I know… what do we do?" Marshall sighed. Ben snapped his fingers.

"He looks up to you as a role model, Marshall… he'll mimic you. We just gotta get you up in the air!" Ben exclaimed.

Pulling his own pup pad out, he selected Skye's icon. "Skye. Fuzzy's not leaving, so we need you to get in your copter for us to help persuade him to rejoin his flock." Ben told the cockapoo.

"This pup's gotta fly!" Skye cheered as she slid down and landed in her helicopter. Ben detached the harness and secured it around Marshall's waist and belly.

"Promise not to take this thing too high. Like, higher than my nose?" Marshall pleaded.

This earned a giggle from Skye. "Marshall, you aren't afraid of heights. You just climbed to the roof of the train station!" Skye snickered.

Marshall thought about it before realizing she was right. "Okay, I'll do it!" Marshall agreed.

Skye lifted him up in the air, and Fuzzy started to fly towards Marshall. They became small dots in the sky before turning back. When they landed, Fuzzy was gone. "You're all good pups, heh." Ben told them as they got back, giving them treats. Alex howled in happiness.

A bit of a "filler" episode, but it does serve the purpose of fleshing out Marshall's character, as well as the relationships of the team members. Not every chapter will be filled with development or plot!
