Pain. Grief. Sorrow. Those were the only feelings Katie was feeling right now, pain, grief, and sorrow. She couldn't feel anything besides those three things, or more like, she didn't want to feel anything else. All Katie could see in her mind were those horrid flashbacks that happened just hours ago. The car crash, police cars everywhere, holding her mother in her arms, and the last words that her mom said to her still lingered in her mind, 'I-I l-love y-you...t-too...'. Katie was currently sitting on a seat at the police station holding a cup of warm hot chocolate with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders, after her mom died in her arms, the police took her to the station to get her cleaned up. The cut on her leg was bandaged up along with a few smaller cuts on her that weren't serious. Katie took a sip of her drink which helped her warm up a little bit, but it didn't warm up the pain inside of her, it was too unbearable. Then all of a sudden she heard footsteps coming toward her which caused her to look up to see a police officer in front of her.

"Good evening Ms. Millers, I'm Officer Charles. Are you enjoying your drink?" He asked after he introduced himself.

Katie gives a tiny shrug, "Nah, it's alright..." She spoke in a quiet voice. Officer Charles frowns a little before speaking again.

"I know what you're going through right now. I'm so sorry for your loss, it must be so hard to process what has happened so far."

"I-It's alright, really...I-I'll be ok..." Katie lied as she spoke in a quiet tone. Deep down inside she was broken and hurt, she just witnessed her mother's death in her arms, it's scary to think about it!

"So Ms. Millers, I'm going to ask you a few questions if you don't mind." Officer Charles as he pulled out a notepad. Katie nods slowly as he started to write.

"Do you have a father?" He asked as he looked down at her.

"No." She spoke softly. Her father passed away when she was a baby due to an illness and her mom used to say to her that she inherited her eyes from her dad. But she pushed those thoughts aside as more questions came up for her to answer.

"Do you have any grandparents that live in the U.S.?" He asked.

"They all passed away when I was young." Katie explained.

"Do you have any relatives you can stay with?"

"No."

"How old are you?"

"16 almost 17." Officer Charles closes his notebook and sighs sadly.

"Well then, I'm sorry to say this Ms. Millers but since you don't have anyone to stay with we are going to have to send you to a foster home. But we should send you in tomorrow so we can let your injuries heal." He spoke gently. Katie looks up at him in surprise but nods slowly understanding why.

"Can I at least take a couple of things with me? The ones that are important to me?" She asked.

"Of course." He nods. Katie slowly walks out of the police station and to her apartment which wasn't too far away. Once she reached her apartment door she took out her keys and unlocked the door and entered inside. The atmosphere was gloomy and dark, it felt so empty without her mom. Katie then goes into her room, grabs her backpack, and packs a couple of snacks, some books, her music player, and a necklace her mom gave to her for her birthday. Before Katie left she came to a stop and took one last look at the apartment she grew up in. 'Goodbye home...' She thought to herself before sighing sadly and closing the door. Katie was walking on the sidewalk with her backpack on her back looking down at the ground sadly.

'This is all my fault! If I had joined one of those clubs Mom talked about, none of this would have happened! I could have done something to stop the crash from happening...but I didn't. I'm such a failure...I failed you Mom and I'm sorry...' Katie thought to herself as a few tears escaped from her eyes. But then all of a sudden she felt someone bump hard into her shoulder. Katie turned around to see that it was a strange-looking man wearing a business suit who bumped into her, but there was something off about him, he didn't say anything as he walked by her. Katie's curiosity kicks then and she starts to follow the strange man without him noticing that she was following. After a couple of minutes of walking, the man turned into an alleyway much to Katie's confusion, why would he walk into an alleyway? She then walks a little faster before ducking and taking shelter behind a garbage can, she took a small peak and could see the strange man talking to three other men that looked exactly like him.

"Does Krang have the thing which is known as the mutagen?" One of the men asked in a weird voice that sounded robotic.

"Affirmative. We should use that which is known as the mutagen to mutate the place which is called New York City." Another man spoke in the group holding a canister in his hand filled with some sort of glowing greenish goo.

"But the ones known as "The Turtles" will interfere with Krang's plan which is known as the plan."

"Krang is informed of that. We will destroy the ones known as "The Turtles" and then use the stuff known as mutagen to mutate the place which is called New York City."

"Aye Krang." They all replied. Katie's eyes widened in shock as she was listening to the conversation, 'These guys are going to mutate the city!? Oh no, this is bad, this is really really bad! I have to go back to the police station and inform them about this!' Katie thought to herself as she knew it was time to go. As she was starting back out, she accidentally bumped into a smaller garbage can causing it to tip over and crash. Katie turns around in shock and then realizes what she had done.

'Oh no...' She thought to herself in horror as she heard footsteps behind her. She gasped softly and turns around to see that the group of strange men was standing right in front of her.

"You who is known as a human shouldn't be in this place that Krang came to this place." One of the men said to her.

"That which is known as the human has heard too much which is the plan, the one known as Kaitlyn Millers is coming with Krang." The men said. Katie was in shock; how did they know her name!? Then suddenly one of the men grabbed her arm which makes her yelp in surprise.

"No! G-Get away from me!" Katie struggles as she then hits the man who grabbed her which knocks him back a little bit into the other men which gave her the opportunity to make a run for it. And with that she dashed away, running as fast as she could away from the strange men behind her. Just as Katie turned a sharp corner, a white van suddenly came into her path before screeching to a stop. She immediately came to a stop before she could trip as fear filled up her entire body, she was trapped...

The backdoors of the van opened and more of those strange men stepped out and started walking towards her. Katie backs away in fear but when she turns around the men that she ran into the alleyway had shown up and they were right behind her. They trapped her in some sort of circle so Katie couldn't escape. Katie looks around at the men that surrounded her and were quickly thinking of a plan in her mind before they did anything to her. So, without thinking, she made a bolt toward a small opening between two of the men, but they grabbed her before she could even barely fit through it. She yelps in surprise as they grabbed and one of the men wraps his arm around her waist so she couldn't escape.

"Let me go!" She cried as she struggled fiercely in the man's grasp but it was too strong. She continued struggling but then...*BANG*...she felt something hit her hard on the head which causes Katie to tumble a little as the man still held her in his arms. Katie's head started ringing and the last thing she saw was the men walking towards her and then, everything went black...

When Katie started to regain conciseness, her vision was blurry at first since she was starting to wake up. When she is fully awake Katie feels herself being dragged by someone she turns around to see a strange robot with a brain-looking alien in the middle of it her much to her surprise. When she turns in the other direction to see the same-looking robot holding onto her as well. Katie tries to squirm free, but she couldn't move her hands and she felt them chained together, so when she looked down, she saw that they were held together with handcuffs. Katie then looks down and sighs sadly giving up, knowing there was no way to escape. As they kept walking, they soon arrived at some sort of lab filled with technology Katie had never seen before in her life. There were more robots like the ones that were holding Katie as they were preparing for something.

"Does Krang have the human known as Kaitlyn Millers ready?" One of the robots asked.

"Affirmative. Krang also have the thing known as mutagen ready to be tested." The Krang who held her arm spoke.

"T-Tested? F-For what?" Katie asked shakily nervous about what was going to happen to her. The Krang who held her turned its head and spoke, "That who is known as Kaitlyn Millers will not answer the questions asked for Krang."

Katie felt a huge wave of fear flow through her entire body knowing something bad was going to happen to her. They then take her up a long, white, staircase and when she looked to the side she could see a huge canister full of that glowing green goo called mutagen Katie saw the men held in a smaller canister in the alleyway. Once they reached the top, they walked to a platform that was above the goo. Katie looks down from the platform and all she could see was goo. Down below, one of the Krang droids is typing on a computer which showed a picture of a lizard before pulling a lever and releasing some DNA into the mutagen. The Krang looked up and spoke.

"Krang has released into the DNA into that which is known as mutagen."

"Affirmative, Krang will now mutate the one known as Kaitlyn Millers." When those words escaped from Krang's mouth Katie's eyes widened in fear, these creeps were going to mutate her!?

"Wait! You can't do this, please! I-I won't tell anyone about your guy's existence, I promise!" She pleaded to hope they would let her go. She didn't want to be here anymore, she'd rather be in foster care right now than here.

"Krang will not take orders from that who is known as Kaitlyn Millers." The Krang refused.

"No wait please-!" But she was cut off when the Krang pushed her off the platform.

"AAAHHHH!" Katie screams in fear as she fell down and within seconds, she landed into the mutagen. The second she fell in, the cuffs on her hands unclipped off. Then, Katie felt a burning sensation throughout her whole body, it felt like she was in acid. She dared not to open her eyes. Then within seconds, she started to feel herself transforming, she felt something growing in her tailbone and every inch of her body starting to transform. She tried not to open her eyes but she couldn't take it and flung them wide open. Katie wanted to scream, but no matter how hard she tried, no sound came out of her mouth. She then bangs her hands on the glass desperately before sliding it down as the Krang released the mutagen along with Katie who collapses onto the floor, exhausted.

"Krang, the one known as Kaitlyn Miller's mutation is a success." Katie heard one of the Krang speak.

"Affirmative, Krang will now keep the one known as Kaitlyn Millers in the custody of Krang, forever." Katie then moans in pain as she was still laying on the ground as she tries to get up but collapsed onto the floor again. As she regains her senses she feels nauseous, dizzy, and had a throbbing headache with four fingers on her hands and...wait, what...? Katie then looks at her hands and notices that she doesn't have 10 fingers, but 8 now, 4 fingers on each side of her hands. And then she saw something about her which made her face go pale, her skin was no longer an apricot color but a grass, green color. She then quickly gets up and looks at her feet, she had six toes, and her feet were oval-shaped, and saw a tail below her legs, and on the back side of it was a light yellow color. Katie then sees a cracked mirror and grabs it quickly to look at her face. She had dark and light green freckles on her face and two dark green stripes on each side of her cheek. She then looks at her arms, knees, and tail to see that there were more freckles just like the ones on her face. Kaitlyn Millers was no longer human, she was a mutant lizard...
