"Where have you been?" Sam asked as Sky sat down at the table in the cafeteria. "The lunch break is almost over."
Sky ran a hand through her sweaty hair, trying to arrange her curls so that they covered the scars on the side of her head. Taking a deep breath she started searching for her lunchbox from her backpack.
"I forgot my lunch home and Dad had to bring it to me," she lied smoothly. "I walked to meet him outside, and you know how slow my walking still is."
"Oh sweetie, you should have asked for help," Moon said, laying a comforting hand on her arm. "I could have done that for you."
"It was no trouble, really. I need the exercise." She flashed Moon a grateful smile, which Moon immediately answered.
"You got all sweaty," noted Yasmine, who was sitting next to Moon, looking just as perfect as always in her yellow blouse and flawless makeup. "That's disgusting."
"Yas!" Moon glanced at the blond girl disapprovingly. "You shouldn't say things like that. Sky is just learning to walk again - of course, it is an effort for her to rush out like that."
Yasmine scoffed and rolled her large, blue eyes. "What? I'm just trying to help. She smells like the boys' locker room."
"Jeez, Thanks Yasmine. You do know I haven't been able to shower properly for over a month with this stupid cast? I'm sorry if my broken arm disgusts you." Sky muttered, her cheeks blushing fiercely. She knew very well that Yasmine was right - on top of the difficulties in showering, she now had Hawk's sweat all over her, and she was pretty sure there were cum stains on her jeans.
"Don't listen to her," Moon spoke with an unfaltering smile. "Eat your lunch and I'll help you tidy up a bit. I have a brush and some dry shampoo in my bag and this amazing organic rose water that smells divine—"
Moon went on, describing all the cosmetic products she carried in her bag, and Sky flashed her a grateful smile. She'd take whatever Moon offered to hide the evidence of her sexcapade in the closet with Hawk. It wasn't that she regretted what had happened - on the contrary. She still felt like her feet weren't even touching the ground, She was so high on Hawk and the pleasure he had given her. She loved him fiercely, and the memory of their passionate encounter made her heart turn into a hummingbird inside of her chest, happiness filled her like a bright light that shone through her body and soul.
But still, she didn't want anyone to find out about them. Not just yet, when the school fight and all the tension between the dojos were still so fresh in everyone's mind.
"A walk down to the parking lot made you look like you ran a marathon?" Sam asked frowning, her words cutting Moon's cheerful prattling and Sky's wandering thoughts like a knife.
Sky glanced at Sam while opening her lunch box and picking up the delicious-looking mozzarella and tomato sandwich Dad had fixed her this morning. She took a bite to avoid answering Sam right away. Damn, it was a good sandwich - Dad really knew his stuff. Besides, Sky was starving. She was always famished after sex.
"You know how it is," she replied after swallowing her mouthful. "I'm not what I used to be."
Sam didn't reply, just gave her a very skeptical look and crossed her arms over her chest. Sky couldn't help the feeling that Sam knew she was full of shit, and it made her more than a bit uncomfortable. She looked down, to avoid Sam's piercing gaze, and took another bite of her sandwich, even if her appetite seemed to be diminishing.
It wasn't that she wanted to lie to her friends. On the contrary - she hated it. But for now, it was the only thing she could think of doing. Sam, Moon, and Yasmine didn't know she was dating Hawk again, and Sky wasn't really prepared to let them know. Sam hated Hawk with a fiery passion for what he had done to their dojo, stealing the medal of honor and all, and Moon wasn't his biggest fan either. What Yasmine thought, Sky could only guess, but she didn't want to take her chances. Besides, Sky suspected that telling her girlfriends she'd been banging a guy in the cleaning closet wouldn't make them think very highly of her. She didn't want to be called a crazy slut again if it could be avoided.
Still, she felt like shit for not telling the truth. Especially Sam deserved to know. They had been hanging out a lot after the accident, as Sam had been eager to help Sky with her recovery, and Sky had wanted to help Sam with her trauma. Sky knew Sam felt like she owed her something after the school fight, which so wasn't the case, but everything that had happened had brought them close nevertheless. Sky appreciated their friendship, Sam's honesty, and her good heart. She would never forget how Sam had been there for her this summer after her suicide attempt. She had been a rock for her to lean on, and that kind of thing was a sign of a friendship that could last for a lifetime.
Thinking about all that made her so uneasy that She could hardly swallow the next bite of her sandwich. The guilt of half-truths and lies weighed heavily on her chest, erasing her former happiness.
Friends don't lie. Right?
But how was she going to explain that she had forgiven Hawk for everything that had happened? Sam would get mad, she wouldn't understand. Just like Kat had gotten mad when Sky had gotten back together with Matt after their first fights. The difference of course was that Matt had been a dangerous, violent asshole, whereas Hawk was wonderful and truly loved her, but Sky suspected Sam wouldn't see it that way. Demetri sure as Hell didn't. The only ones who weren't judgemental about Sky getting back together with Hawk, were Miguel, Aisha, and Dad. And Aisha had moved away, Miguel still wasn't going to school, and Dad—?
Well, Dad couldn't really help her with this one. She would have to figure this out by herself.
Sky finished her sandwich, stuffed her lunchbox back into her backpack, and turned to face Moon again.
"So you wanted to help me with my hair?" She asked, flashing Moon her most radiant smile. "Do we still have time?"
"There's always time to freshen up a bit," Moon smiled and stood up. "Come, I'll help you."
"Don't forget to do something about that stench," Yasmine noted, scrunching up her nose. "I'll have to sit next to her in science."
"Don't worry," Sky said. "Your Miss Dior will be enough to cover my stench. I love that perfume, by the way."
These random compliments Sky had started throwing at Yasmine, always seemed to leave her baffled, which made Sky smirk as she stood up. Maybe she should get Yasmine another bottle of Miss Dior as a Christmas present, to soften the ice queen? Or even better, tell Demetri to buy that for her.
That thought brought a smile to Sky's lips as she stood up, took her backpack, and followed Moon. But Sam looked at her with a frown, leaning her elbows to the table, and the look on her face made Sky's smile falter.
Sam knew she was full of shit - and Sky knew it was only a matter of time before she found out the truth.
Hawk couldn't stop grinning.
He glanced at his reflection in the bathroom mirror while washing his hands, and flashed himself a cocky, arrogant grin. His mohawk was intact, their heated fuck in the janitor's closet hadn't ruined it - the red spikes rose high on top of his head, sharp and vicious. The red of his hoodie matched the color of his hair and brought out the blue of his eyes. He looked hot, he looked badass, he was the fucking King of this school.
There were a couple of fresh hickies on his neck, and he leaned closer to take a look. The memory of Sky's lips sucking the tender skin of his neck, made him feel hot all over. Damn, the things they had done in that closet—
Hawk's grin widened. He still couldn't quite believe it had really happened - but on the other hand, it was easy to believe. He really was this guy now. The guy who got to fuck his girl whenever he wanted to, the guy who was so fucking irresistible that he could make a babe come just like that, just with his hand and his silent, raspy command I want you to come for me, love.
And Sky had obeyed, she had orgasmed on his fingers, her pleasure had been his to give or take as he pleased.
That thought made him high-headed like nothing else. It was so hot that he knew how to please her. It was the biggest turn-on he could imagine. Hell, he had given her every fucking drop of his cum not fifteen minutes ago, but thinking about this was making him horny again.
He had just finished washing his hands, the grin lingering on his lips when the door opened and a couple of guys walked into the bathroom.
"Yo, Hawk—" said the dark-haired one. "Where the fuck were you? You missed lunch."
Hawk scoffed at Rickenberger. "That's not much of a loss."
"They had pizza," Assface commented. "It was pretty good."
"You wouldn't know a decent pizza if it hit you in the face," Hawk replied.
Rickenberger laughed and punched Assface on the shoulder, making the other boy grunt and frown. Hawk rolled his eyes. These guys were idiots - but he wasn't going to let that ruin his day. He was still walking on clouds.
"Dude, you still owe me 20 bucks for last Friday," Rickenberger said, turning his attention back at Hawk. "Care to pay back?"
"Stop whining, you'll get your money—" Hawk muttered while trying to locate his wallet. They had gone to get burgers after practice last Friday and Hawk had forgotten his wallet home, so Rickenberger had paid for his food.
The wallet - for a couple of heartbeats Hawk panicked, as it wasn't in the pocket where he usually kept it. A fear that it had slipped his fingers and fallen to the floor of the janitor's closet when he had fumbled to find the condom, flashed through his system, erasing his smile, but—
There it was. In another pocket. His heart thumping with relief, he pulled the wallet out—
—and something that had been stuck to it fell to the floor to his feet.
Hawk's whole face flushed. The fricking condom. He had stuffed it into his pocket and forgotten all about it—
With lightning speed, he tried to snatch it, but it was too late. Rickenberger grabbed his arm and stopped him in mid-motion.
"What the fuck, man—?" He snickered. "Is that a… is that a condom?"
Assface was laughing now too. "Whaat? In your pocket? That's gross!"
Hawk's face was burning, as he picked the condom from the floor and tossed it into the trash can. "So fucking what, dickheads? At least I get to fuck someone, unlike you losers."
Rickenberger and Assface kept laughing, like Hawk's insult didn't even touch them. Hawk rolled his eyes at them and stuffed his hands into his pockets taking a wide, confident stance.
"Dude you seriously fucked someone in school?" Rickenberger asked, still laughing, and slapped him on the shoulder. "Shiiit, that's fucking badass!"
"Who was it?" Assface asked, stepping closer. "Is she hot?"
"None of your fucking business," Hawk replied, tilting up his chin. No way was he going to tell these assholes he was back together with Sky.
"Come on, share a bit. Is she a babe? Where did you do it?" Inquired Rickenberger, still smirking.
"The janitor's closet."
Another burst of laughter. "What the fuck, man? Seriously?"
"Hell Yeah," Hawk replied, finding his cocky grin again. "And it was fucking awesome."
"Dude is a stud," Assface stated, high-fiving Hawk. "Does she have a great ass? Big tits?"
Hawk chuckled. Sky didn't have big tits, but he was in love with her small, perky ones. He had never seen a better pair of boobs in his life, and just the memory of his hand gripping her chest, feeling the hardening nipple through her clothes, was enough to make the need stir in his gut again.
"Fuck yeah," he replied, smirking. "She's got the best body."
"Ohoh nice! She sucked your dick?" Rickenberger asked, laughing.
Hawk let out a scoff. "Not this time. But I fucked her real good."
Again the guys laughed out loudly and made a bunch of obscene comments, and now Hawk laughed with them. A small part of his mind tried to nag at him that he shouldn't be talking about Sky like this, that she would feel so bad if she found out, but he silenced that annoying voice. Sky would never find out about this. This was just locker room talk, nothing serious. All guys talked about girls like this - at least all who weren't pathetic nerds. Besides these assholes didn't even know who Hawk was talking about. Hell Yeah, he was a stud, just like Assface had said. And Hell Yeah, he enjoyed the fact that these dick-heads envied him. Those guys could never get a girl to fuck them in the middle of the school day. They were losers, whereas Hawk knew that he was a winner. He was the guy everyone wanted to be.
"How the fuck did you manage to pull that off?" Rickenberger asked.
"Yeah, what's your secret, man?" added Assface.
Hawk scoffed and flashed them an arrogant grin. "If you're good at it, you're good at it. And the chicks will be begging for more."
Assface and Rickenberger laughed again, adding some rude remarks, but Hawk laughed with them. The school bell rang and they walked out of the bathroom, to catch their next class, still laughing and talking shit as they went.
Hawk didn't even notice that when he was leaving the room, the door of one bathroom stall opened and a tall, dark-haired boy walked to the sink, with a worried frown on his face.
When he opened the tap and the cold water splashed on his hands, Demetri had only one thing on his mind.
Things were going to end badly.
Oh no - what now? What do you think Demetri is going to do about this?
