Ruby was holding onto Jaune's Absolute Spear. She was rubbing her cheeks with it and caressing the spear. It was honestly cute like a child getting a new toy.

Ruby was laughing to herself, and she whispered, "Tell me, how do you work? I want to know so I can implement it in my Crescent Rose…Tell me your secrets."

Weiss was freaked out, and she said, "Ruby! Stop being creepy! The spear is not going to answer you."

Ruby glared at Weiss and said, "You don't know that!".

Weiss shouted, "It's a spear! They don't talk! At least if you're going to do that, do it in your tent!"

Ruby hmphed and headed to her tent, which also happens to be RWBY's tent, which means it is also Weiss' tent. This caused the girl to scream internally. She collapsed into Jaune's arms.

Jaune started caressing Weiss' hair and saying, "There, there. It's okay. If you want, you can stay at our tent."

Weiss nodded. On the outside, she looked relieved that she would not have to stay with a crazed Ruby and a weapon, but on the inside, secret, she was enjoying the embrace of Jaune, who was not wearing armor.

Weiss secretly squeezed Jaune's bicep and thought, 'He-he-he! Oh, my! When I was dancing with Neptune, his body was not as amazing as this. Tsk! Why did I ever think Neptune was a good choice.'

The night was young, everyone was asleep, and Jaune was the first watch. He already knew that this mission was something going to be something overboard.

With Jaune's keen senses, he heard something not too far away. It was White Fang operatives doing rounds. He and the others were having trouble finding their lookout. So, he had this crazy idea of letting them capture him. It was easy; he could pretend to be lost. They should be blinded with hate and would not realize how a civilian would be here in the first place.

And thus, Jaune put it into action, and it all went according to his plan. They even covered his head with a sack. Easy. Without a second thought, they brought him to the underground hideout. He saw all the things they were doing.

Jaune did not know where he was, but that is easy to find out later. Right now, the voice speaking is important: "Well, what do we have here? A Human. What should we do with him?"

Jaune was sitting in a chair tied up, with a sack on his head. He could not see anything.

A person shouted, "Burn him! Let him feel what the people of the Dust mine felt!"

Another shouted, "Mark him! Just like they marked as like animals!"

Jaune thought as he heard the people's shouts, 'These people are pissed at Humans.'

However, he heard the first voice shout, "Leave. I'll deal with this one personally."

There was nothing the White Fang operatives could do. When she makes the decision, they can only follow it. So, they left.

The woman that spoke earlier grabbed Jaune's chair and dragged him to another room where they could be alone. She wanted to be alone with him since he had the scent of Blake.

The person unsheathed their weapon, placed the blade by Jaune's neck, and said, "Tell me where she is! I want to know!"

With a calm voice, Jaune said, "Uhm…Buddy, I don't know who you are talking about."

The voice became angrier, "Don't toy with me, Human! I can smell the scent on you! You've been in contact with her recently!"

Jaune sighed and said, "You haven't told me who you are looking for and whose scent is on me."

The voice sounded a lot less angry, "I suppose…Well, tell me where Blake Belladonna is."

Jaune was surprised, and he said, "What do you want to do with Blake? I know she's Faunus and was a member of the White Fang before, but she is my friend. If you are looking for her to cause her harm, then I'm telling you now, I will end you!"

The person did not speak, they put their weapon by Jaune's neck to threaten him, but Jaune, through the sack, bit the sword and shattered it. He then broke his restrain and stood up, surprising the person and causing them to fall on their ass. As Jaune took off the sack, he saw a person with red hair and a pair of horns. Looking down, he saw her voluptuous body.

Jaune kneeled to bring his face before his captor. He then said, "Hah? I didn't think that my captor would be as beautiful as someone like you."

The person sneered. She said, "Beautiful?" She then took off her mask and said, "Tell me. Do you still think I'm beautiful?"

Jaune looked at her intently and said, "I mean, yeah. You have that mark, but it doesn't take away your beauty. If you want, I can even heal it for you."

The person was going to get angry again, but Jaune shoved a Complete Recovery Herb in her mouth before she could say anything, which caused her slightly to choke. She shouted, "What did you give me!"

The woman saw Jaune move his arms and thought Jaune would hit her. She wanted to block it, but Jaune was faster. However, all she felt was his hands on her cheeks, with him smiling at her. He told her, "I knew you wouldn't believe I could heal that scar. So, I gave you what was necessary to get rid of it."

Jaune then took out his scroll from his item box, took a picture of the woman before, and showed it to her. When she saw the picture, she thought Jaune had merely put a filter on, but it was gone when she saw her reflection on a shiny surface. The scar that the SDC had created was gone. It made her tear up.

However, she was still angry and shouted to Jaune, "What is the meaning of this? Do you think healing my wounds that you Humans have caused will make me change?"

Jaune shook his head and said, "Of course not. I can feel that your hatred runs deep. I merely ask you to see that we Humans are not all alike. Just as there are evil Faunus, there are good Humans too."

For the first time in the woman's life, she considered the words of a Human. But she never showed it on the surface. She then said, "Tell me, Human. What's your name?"

Jaune smiled at her and said, "The name's Jaune Arc. Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue, and ladies love it."

The woman huffed and said, "The name's Eve Taurus. I'll consider tour words, Jaune. But I'll be keeping an eye on you."

Eve called all her White Fang and ditched the place. It was a compromised base, after all. None of the White Fang complained, but there was one.

It was Torchwick. He told Eve, "You can't be seriously abandoning the plans now, are you? Especially since we are near completion of this phase, whatever the end goal may be."

Eve said, "You don't get to dictate what we do, Torchwick. I was only working with her because I thought it benefited our cause. But there were some changes. What it is, you don't have to know."

Jaune hadn't left, and he was lurking in the shadows. He saw the exchange between the two and smiled. He thought, "So, this was where Roman was hiding. No wonder Ruby and the others weren't able to find him."

As the last of the White Fang has left, Jaune is left watching Torchwick, who happens to say, "Well, the preparations are done. I don't need them anymore."

Jaune followed Torchwick to his destination, which led to a train filled with Dust and Paladins.

While Roman was preparing the train to leave at the designated time, Jaune heard ticking inside the train. He opened one of the hatches and found a bomb. He opened another hatch and found the same thing. Whatever Torchwick had planned, he couldn't let that happen. So, he put the entire train in his item box.

Roman was shocked as he dropped to the rails, "What the…?"

He looked around and saw Jaune. He thought, "Oh, you've got to be kidding me! Another kid."

Getting up from the rails, he shouted, "Wherever you put the train, I suggest you give it back. Or I'll make you."

Jaune laughed and said, "Well, then. I want to see how great you are, Mr. Gentleman Thief."

They both engage in combat. If that's what you can even call it. Jaune moved extremely quickly and punched Roman's head to the ground, shattering his Aura. Then there was this lollipop girl that came out of nowhere to take Roman away, but Jaune could karate chop her on the neck, and she passed out.

But before she did, the girl recognized Jaune as her observation target. She thought, 'Huh, I guess the rumors aren't as baseless as she thought.'

She then smirked and thought, 'Not that I'll tell her that. Hope you have what it takes to stop her, pretty boy."

The following morning when Oobleck and the others woke up, they were surprised to see a tied-up Roman Torchwick and his child assistant.

Ruby looked at Roman and asked, "What just happened?"

Roman took the question seriously and replied, "Got beat up by pretty boy there. Stood no chance at all."

The girl beside Roman nodded in affirmation.

Then a voice in the distance shouted, "How only were we asleep!"

Oobleck looked in the distance where the Goliath could be since last night, but now, they were all gone—and not just the Goliath. Every Grimm in the surrounding area of Mt Glenn was eradicated.

Roman said, "If you want to know what happened, you should ask the pretty boy. He was bust killing all the Grimm with that insane bow of his. You know, the one capable of firing hundreds of arrows and hitting a target no matter what!"

However, Jaune was not hearing anything while sleeping on his Paradise Futon, with Pyrrha, Nora, and Lei lying with him.
