The Rite of Spring

Chapter 4:

The next morning Lilia got up and woke up the freshman the best way he knew how, by playing a sound of a bugle wake up call. "All freshmen are to meet in the lounge in thirty minutes!' He shouted over the sound.

"Jeez, has anyone told VanRouge this isn't a military school?" A freshman grumbled as they began to gather in the lounge.

"VanRouge. Isn't there a famous General with that name? Maybe it was his grandfather. So maybe he's from a military family." Another yawned rubbing his eye.

"Then someone should explain this isn't normal." Another added in.

"Hush! We are not to question our upperclassmen! They're doing what they think is best for us. They know what's best and we are to follow their lead." Sebek snapped at them.

"Not everyone is use to this." Silver quietly reminded him.

"Alright now that everyone has gathered we'll be heading to the school. Everyone stick together so you don't get lost." Lilia shouted as he entered the lounge.

He lead the group out of the dorm, through the mirror and towards the main school building,

On the way he saw a sight that nearly made him lose his well crafted composure. He saw the chubby cat like creature that cause all the commotion at the opening ceremony sitting between his queen's horns.

Not her real horns or his real queen but school's statue of her. It was truly one of the funniest things he had seen in awhile. The cat was scrubbing her horns while his companion scrubbed the hem of her robe. She seemed totally absorbed in her task.

'I wonder what she would think of this sight?' Lilia thought as he suppressed a chuckle. 'Or what Malleus would think of this. I hope he makes it to class on time.'

"Now everyone please take out our class slips so we can make sure you make it to the right class." Lilia announced as he floated in front of the crowd and opposite of his queen's statue. 'This must be punishment for yesterday. Just you never know with that bird brain. I surely thought they would go unpunished. This generation seem to hold no value for traditions. He does need to nip rebellion in the bud before it gets out of hand but this might be a bit much, they'll probably miss class if they have to scrub all the statues. ' Lilia thought as he glanced over at the pair who weren't paying them any attention.

'I wish I could get a picture of this.' He thought trying not to chuckle again. "Sebek let me see your schedule." Lilia demanded trying to discuss his loudest freshman, if he saw then he would say something and draw everyone else attention to the scene to his right.

Silver walk with the freshman to school. 'I'm already up I might as well. I'm sure Riddle will be in class already and we need to discuss the Equation Club recruitment. I know Sebek will join us but we need more members then just the 3 of us.' Silver thought as he followed the crowd.

A sight caught his eye as he made his way down the main street. The duo from yesterday were scrubbing his queen's statue. He could see that the cat like creature was not happy to be doing such a chore. He looked absolutely miserable. 'Maybe he's cat enough to hate water.' Silver thought as he watched the cat run a wet brush over the queen's right horn.

His sight settle to the base where the human was scrubbing the bottom of the statue. She was harder for him to read. She didn't look as miserable as her companion, she even had a small smile on her lips.

'Is she happy to be doing this punishment? How odd.' Silver wonder to himself as they got closer to the statue. 'Does father see this? He doesn't seem upset. In fact he seems to be ignoring the duo.' Silver thought as he looked over to Lilia who was now talking to Sebek.

Silver made his way over to them.

"What's your first class?" He asked as he looked over the piece of paper Sebek had pulled out of his bag., blocking Sebek's view of the duo. 'If he sees them like that, he'll surely lecture them about being disrespectful. No need to subject them to his brand of lectures.' Silver thought as he glanced over at them. He could hear the whispers among the crowd.

"History." Sebek said he looked over his schedule not even hearing the others around him. "I'm so glad to have my favorite subject first." He smiled up at Lilia.

"That's good for you. Try to stay awake. He can be a bit boring." Lilia whispered with a smirk.

Lilia was able to get all his freshman and Silver to class on time and arrived to his just as the bed rang. "Good morning Malleus." Lilia said as he entered Crewel's classroom with Malleus.

"Good morning Lilia." Malleus said as they took their seats in the back.

Thanks for reading and sticking around. I hope you enjoyed this new POV chapter. I wish I could draw because I honestly think Grim sitting between Malleus's horn or the statue's horns would be really funny. I'll try to keep posting regularly.
