(As Linka left for the Crimson Mirelands)
Rei: Hey, Linka. Mind helping me train a bit?
Linka: Sure, why not?
Rei: That's the stuff! I'll feel a lot better going out researching on my own if I can beat you.
(Rei pulls out a pokeball.)
Rei: Go Mime Jr.! (Sends out a pink pokemon with a red nose and looks like it's wearing a blue hat.)
Linka: Alright, go Wings! (Sents out Wings) Use Air Slash!
(Wings flapped a blade of air onto Mime Jr.)
Rei: Use Hypnosis! (Mime Jr.'s eyes glowed a light blue as were Wings. Wings was starting to feel drowsy.)
Linka: Use Aerial Ace, Strong style!
(Wings slashed Mime Jr. with a strong flap of his wings.)
Rei: Use Confusion! (Mime Jr. used Confusion on Wings)
Linka: Wings snap out of it!
Wings: Zzzzz...huh?
Rei: Now use confusion again! (Mime Jr. used another confusion attack on Wings, causing him to faint.
Linka: Return. (Returns Wings) Go Quilli! (Sends out Quilli.)
Rei: Hey Quilli has evolved!
Linka: That's right and take a look at this! Use Flame Wheel!
(Quilli rolled into a wheel of flame hit Mime Jr. and knocking him out.)
Rei: Rest well, Mime Jr. Alright here's my second pokemon, go Pikachu! (Sends out Pikachu.)
Linka: Flame Wheel!
(Quilli rolled into a ball and engulfed herself in fire. The Flame wheel hit Pikachu.
Rei: Use Thunder Wave!
(Pikachu creates half a bubble of electricity on Quilli, causing her to get Paralyzed.)
Linka: Here Quilli take this! (Give Quilli a Cheri Berry, curing her paralysis.)
Quilli: Thanks Linka!
Rei: Use Thundershock!
(Pikachu shot electricity at Quilli.)
Linka: Use Quick Attack, Agile style!
(Quilli made a super quick tackle on Pikachu.)
Rei: Use Thundershock again!
(Pikachu shot electricity at Quilli.)
Linka: Use Flame Wheel!
(Quilli used flame wheel, but her attack misses.)
Rei: Use Thundershock!
(Pikachu hit Quilli with a critical hit thundershock, causing her to faint.)
Linka: Aww... *Drops on her knees* I lost...
Loki: You only bought two pokemon?
(Rei and Pikachu are surprised that he and Rei won)
Rei:?
Pikachu: Did we win? We won! Yay!
Quilli: I'm sorry Linka...
Linka: It's O.K., You did your best.
Rei: Whoa! Maybe Pikachu and I are getting better!
Loni: I'm sorry you lost Linky.
Linka: Well, it's like they say, you can't win them all.
Rei: Thanks for that battle. Here, let me give you a new recipe.
Linka: Stealth Sprays. Man, Wish I had these at home.
Rei: Yknow, lately these space-time distortion things have been popping up here and there. I took a peek into one and saw some tempting items, so I tried ducking in to grab 'em. But it turned out there were legions of tough Pokémon inside. I barely made it out alive... You be careful around those distortions, all right? Anyway! Time to make for the Mirelands Camp.
Linka: All right next up, The Crimson Mirelands!
(The Galaxy Team and Loud Kids arrive the Crimson Mirelands)
Linka: Wow so this is the Crimson Mirelands.
(The Crimson Mirelands were filled with yellow grass, rocky hills, and bogs. there were also pokemon that Linka hasn't caught before.
Linka: Man, I wish Leif were here. He would've loved it!
Laventon: Here we are, my girl! The Crimson Mirelands! An area teeming with poison-wielding Pokémon and plenty of others besides!
Rei: Seems like you're in for a tough mission. I'm sure you can handle it, though. Oh, that's right! You're heading to the Solaceon Ruins, aren't you? They're off that way, if you need a pointer. See the entrance way over there?
(Rei points to a tunnel underneath a small mountain.)
Rei: Y'know, I wish we could tell where or when one of those space-time distortions was going to erupt... I wonder if checking your map would help.
Laventon: I'm counting on both of you to carry out your survey work as best you can! But be mindful of your limitations as well, won't you? If wild Pokémon are giving you trouble, I suggest you go to the training grounds and have Captain Zisu teach your Pokémon some strong moves.
Linka: Let me check the pokemon around here first.
(Linka found a pokemon that looked like a floating venus fly trap. The Venus fly trap pokemon saw Linka and attacked her.)
Linka: Go Quilli!
Carnivine: Mmmmm you both makes tasty morsels.
Linka: Quilli use Flame wheel!
(Quilli used flame wheel on Carnivine)
Linka: Go Feather Ball! (Throws a feather ball at Carnivine, capturing it.) Whew, sure don't like being the prey of a pokemon.
(Linka continues until she enters the Solaceon Ruins)
Linka: Now where could Calaba be?
(At the end of the tunnel, she sees an short old woman with white and gray hair wearing a backpack with two long leaves sticking out. She was also accompanied by a Bibarel.)
?: I'm Calaba of the Pearl Clan. Warden Calaba to you. Ho? Now would you look at that... You have a Celestica Flute. You must be the one they say fell out of the space-time rift.
Linka: That's right
Calaba: I see, I see...I've already heard about you. That you quelled Kleavor in his frenzy.
Linka: That's me.
Calaba: I'm sure many people were saved by your actions, but I wonder if there wasn't some other way to handle the situation...What you did is hardly different from bullying a Pokémon into submission, after all. And you run about catching Pokémon up in those little balls you carry...I don't need any help from your sort. Or the Diamond Clan, for that matter. That young lady, Arezu, offered to help, but associating with the Diamond Clan... It just won't do.
Linka: But I need to...
Calaba: Be on your way. There is much I must do, and I'd prefer not to be distracted any further.
(Calaba walks to the wall in the room.)
Linka: How am I suppose to investigate Ursaluna now?
