[The Loud Kids fought and caught many pokemon, Including Carnivine, Golduck and Golbat. As they were walking...]

Leif: *Suddenly remembers something* Oh No!

Linka: What is it Leif?

Leif: I think i forgot to feed my animals back home. They must be starving.

Linka: I'm sure Mom and Dad will take care of them while we're gone.

Leif: I hope so.

[They then find a new pokemon, giant blue horn beetles with yellow eyes.]

Lynn: Let's battle them.

[They battle the pokemon. Linka sends out Quilli, Luke sends out Note, Lynn sends out Ruthie, and Leif sends out Croakster.]

Linka: So these pokemon are Heracross, Qwilli use Infernal Parade!

Luke: Use Mimic!

[They used their retrospective moves while one of the Heracross uses Close Combat on Note while the other uses Aerial Ace on Qwilli.]

Lynn: Use Iron Tail!

Leif: Use Poison Jab!

[Ruthie uses Iron tail on the first Heracross while Croakster uses Poison Jab on the other. The first Heracross uses Close Combat on Ruthie while the second one uses Sword Dance and uses Slash on Croakster.]

Linka and Lynn: Go Leadan Ball!

[Linka catches the first Heracross while Lynn catches the second.]

Lynn: I'll been keeping this one. I'll name you Herc.

Leif: I think Croakster's ready to evolve!

[Croakster evolved into Toxicroak.]

Leif: You look as badass.

Croakster: Thanks Leif!

[They caught some Mothim as they continued their way to meeting Ingo. When they reached some ruins, They meet Melli again.]

Leif: Him again?

Melli: What's the big idea, putting back all the torches I spent ages tidying away? Do you get some sort of amusement stomping around and ruining people's noble deeds?

Ingo: Oh? Rendering a cave impassable to people who venture inside hardly seems noble to me.

Linka: Yeah, My Brother here got lost because of you. That was inconsiderate.

Melli: Hmph. Well, this just goes to show that even we wardens don't always see eye to eye. I extinguished those lights for the sake of the Pokémon in that cave who prefer the dark.

[Leif growls]

Melli: But now you louts have put my efforts to waste. If you think I'll just let you saunter ahead to meet Lord Electrode, you're sorely mistaken! The only way you're getting past me...is if you defeat my partner Pokémon!

Ingo: How will you proceed, Linka?

Linka: I'll battle him if I have to.

Melli: Go, Skuntank! Show these louts the true meaning of silent but deadly!

[A Skunk who tail is over its head appears]

Skunktank: Right away, Melli.

Linka: Alright, I'll use Pach!

[Linka sends out Pach.]

Linka: Use Thunder Wave!

Melli: Dodge it, Skuntank!

[Skuntank dodges the Thunder Wave.]

Melli: Now use Flamethrower.

[Skuntank uses Flamethrower on Pach.]

Linka: Now use Thunder!

[Pach uses Thunder on Skuntank]

Melli: Use Night Slash!

[Skuntank uses Night Slash on Pach.]

Linka: Use Thunder again!

[Pach uses Thunder causing Skuntank to faint.]

Linka: You've lost Melli.

Melli: Listen here! Neither I nor Skuntank admit defeat just yet—our challenge to you still stands! However! I will withdraw to afford Skuntank time to recover. There's no shame in a tactical retreat. It's more of an advance, if you think about it! Keep your guard up—we'll be back.

[Melli leaves]

Lynn: Ugh...What does it take to get him to understand?

Ingo: What a lively character.

Linka: I know.

Ingo: I cannot fathom Melli's intentions... But for now, let us press on!

Loud siblings: Right!

[They enter the tunnel and came to a hall filled with square structures. The Loud kids were amazed.]

Leif: Whoa.

Linka: It looks just like a room filled with square based homes.

Ingo: This is the Ancient Quarry. The stones used to build the temple atop this mountain were all cut from this place... Whether by humans and Pokémon working as one, or by the labor of Pokémon alone, I cannot say. The stones that were left behind should serve to cover us from the gazes of wild Pokémon.

Volo: Ah! There you are, Ingo!

[Volo walks down the stairs.]

Ingo: Volo, was it? What is the matter, sir?

Volo: I wanted to ask about that memory loss of yours. Have you considered that it could have somehow been caused by the space-time rift?

Ingo: I have no cause to think the rift is to blame... but then again, I hardly remember a thing, so it's difficult to sat with certainty. I can't remember my own home, but I was able to remember a member of my family thanks to Leif here. *Leif waves* So you might do better to pose your questions to Linka, I think, if it's to do with that rift.

Volo: Indeed... Well, I do hope your memories return, Warden Ingo. *To Linka* So how many brothers and plates have you found?

Linka: I found seven of the brothers and six plate.

Volo: Marvelous. Do you remember what you saw before you fell out of that rift? Was there anything inside?

Linka: Of Course.

Volo: Interesting... You see, personally, I suspect that whatever is on the other side of that rift is causing the strange lightning that plagues us.

Linka: You think so?

Volo: Indeed! I did some digging and found records indicating that this same space-time rift also appeared in Hisui in the distant past. That's why we already had a name for it as it appeared, in fact.

Leif: Really?

Volo: Now, what kind of world do you suppose stretches out on the other side of the rift? My guess is that it is almighty Sinnoh's realm... But then that begs the question: Why has the space-time rift opened, when it closed once so long ago? And why would Linka and her brother have fallen through to us? There's just so much we don't know...

Ingo: I fervently hope you unravel this mystery, Volo. I'm sure it would ease people's fears over the frenzies of our nobles. And while you investigate, sir, I'll continue to prioritize the safety of the people living in this world.

Volo: Oh, I am a mere admirer of ruins and little more! If something needs investigating, then I would entrust that task to Linka! Until next time, then!
