Ch 13 Servants from a Distant Past

In another part of the City, four Servants and a Living Hero were staying at a depressing bar. The Servants looked at the Hero of Evolution bowing her head to them. "I-I'm sorry everyone! I was careless for not sending an envoy to help them!" Bunnyx apologizes to the Chaldeans.

"Bunnyx, it's fine." Ruler of Paris held out her hands, not wanting her to feel bad for what happened. "Even though things went differently, we were able to separate in time."

Koyanskaya sighs, taking a glass of liquor from the counter. "Considering that we're still around, master and the others are still alive." She stated, taking a sip. "But without a sacrifice or two of course,"

Ruler of Paris frowns, looking at the Beast Candidate for saying something like that. "Don't you have morals for your allies, Koyanskaya?" She was a bit concerned that she lacks empathy for the others.

The Fox chuckles, looking at the Counter Guardian. "Look, the only person I care about is my master," Koyanskaya spoke out loud, not caring if the others are hearing them. "If I have my way, I would be with him instead of letting the AI have him to herself."

"Still, even if you were in that group, I'm sure master would have asked you to keep one of the two children safe." The bluenette stated, marching up at the Alter Ego. "I'm pretty sure that you would fulfill his orders to the fullest without questions, Koyanskaya!"

"Oh, look. It seems the Counter Guardian has a spine after all," The Fox grins, glaring daggers at the Servant.

At the corner, both Rama and Constantine were watching as the two spouts at the other end of the bar. "I may be new to Chaldea…" Bunnyx walks over to the men, stepping out of her friend and ally scene. "But is this normal on a daily basis?" She asked.

"I'm a bit new, so I can't share any input," Constantine stated, looking at probably the oldest member of Chaldea in the room.

Rama sighs, closing his eyes. "You'd be surprised at how many rivalries there are in Chaldea. Especially for those who didn't resolve their issues in the past." The Saber Servant stated, he then looks up at the people in the bar. The mere lack of questioning and looking at them speaking of Chaldea and Servants is odd.

"Hey, Foreigner is it really okay for us to be talking in the open like this?" The King of Kosala asked the Living Hero, "Shouldn't the people here be…you know-"

"Curious? Maybe in the next hundred years or so, but I would keep my hopes down if I were you." A pink-haired girl in a sophisticated dress handed over two glasses of liquor to the Chaldean Servants.

Constantine took the glass, curious what she meant. He then suddenly realize this girl was a Servant. "You're a Servant, aren't you?" The Rider asked the little girl serving them drinks.

The pink-haired Servant smiles, "Well, I expect nothing less from another Servant." The girl stated, "Both me and my brother would be disappointed if you Chaldeans didn't know we're Servants."

"If I am to presume, you two are Servants share the same Spirit Origins?" Constantine asked, sensing only one Spirit Origin signature in the entire bar.

The pink-haired Servant looked at the pale green-haired boy near the cash register. "You're right, we're the Assassin of Paris. Both of us materialized sharing the same Spirit Origins along with a few Servants that was sent by the Counter Force." The girl introduced her and her brother to the Chaldeans.

"So, you're here to help us in dismantling this Lostbelt?" Rama asked, hoping that was the case.

"HA!" The girl laughs, leaning forward on the counter. "Help? Oh, come now. You've seen the state of things here in Paris." The Assassin stated, motioning to the Cybernetic City.

"Things went to shit when that Alter Ego of White and the Inquisitors came and wreak every Servant from the Counter Force." The pink-haired girl informed the two. "Sure there were new Servants who materialized when that beam of light manage to damage that Cube in the center of the City. But the remaining Servants from the Counter Force are less than fifteen."

Constantine glared at the girl, sensing that both she and her brother has given up. "So you're saying that you won't help Humanity despite everything that's happening currently?"

The pink-haired Servant placed her hand on her cheek, "Listen, what we do now isn't your concern. You guys can do what you wish, dismantle the Lostbelt, join the Lostbelt," The Assassin waved her hand, not caring what the Chaldeans do now. "It doesn't matter to me us,"

"Fuck you!" A gruff man shouted at the other person across the bar.

"How about you go fuck off!" The person shouted back, escalating the situation.

"Sister, the same guy is back again at table two!" The pale green-haired boy walks over to the two rulers and his Sister.

They all looked at the man at the table causing trouble for a few patrons. The pink-haired Servant sighs, heading over to the man at the table. "For the love of…come on! Get!"

The green-haired boy approached the King and Emperor, watching his Sister taking the drunk man out of the bar. He sighs at the sad sight of Humanity, "To think this City was once known as the City of Love." The Assassin stated, seeing his Sister tossing the man out of their establishment. "Now it's nothing than a deprave City of Depression and Tyranny. You Chaldeans arrived a bit too late to correct and save this World."

"At least we're here," Rama stated, defending his master's name. "We won't stop until we correct this City and save the people."

Constantine nodded, looking at the incoming allies. "What's our plan now?"

Ruler of Paris sighs, turning to Koyanskaya whom she was still peeved after their spout. "We wait," The bluenette turns to Bunnyx, standing next to the rulers. "B-Foreigner, if possible, can you get in contact with your allies? We need all the help we can get if we're to locate the others."

Bunnyx nodded but was hesitant. "That sounds good, but I need to wait until the streets are crowded." She approached the window, still seeing patrols on the streets. "There's a lot of patrols taking place."

"Understandable, since the enemy knew that we were coming," Constantine stated, he looks at the Servant behind the counter. "Am I to take you're not taking sides on this matter? Both you and your Sister?"

The green-haired Assassin shrugs, "Depends, we did our part and it's your turn to do the rest."

The pink-haired Assassin walks back to the counter, leaning on it. "Use this bar as a base. We have no use other than feeding the poor unfortunate souls of Paris with beer." She smirks.

Koyanskaya sighs, "Great, another pair of unwilling Servants to deal with."

"That's fine, as long as master and the others are safe, we can do all we can here." Ruler stated, going with the only plan they got. Everyone agreed, looking back out at the Cybernetic City until a certain vermillion bird enters.

"Excuse me, but I need your assistance…" The bird spoke to the Chaldeans,

"Caster!" Bunnyx exclaims, knowing who this was.

The bird nodded, looking at the group.

At the abandoned theater, Ritsuka woke up after a short nap. He sat up from sleeping on the theater's chairs. Those were the only area of the abandoned movie theater that has a soft place to rest.

Though not the best of places to sleep, it's still better than the hard floor. He rubs the back of his neck, trying to get some feeling in it. "Man, I wish there was at least a bedding area like in Tartus in Olympus." He groans, looking to the side.

The master saw Charlie, also getting up from his sleeping place. He saw his Grandson, greeting him as usual like every morning. "Morning Ritsuka, I would like to say if you have a nice sleep but that's a bit of a stretch knowing where we're at." He jokes

"Morning, Charlie. I see you too have some trouble sleeping as well." Ritsuka commented, seeing his hand rubbing his neck.

"Yep, just body aches," The former Servant stated, looking around the abandoned theater.

Nero came from the lobby, seeing both her master and ally fully awake. "Ah, Praetor! Charlie! You're awake on this beautiful…I would like to say day, but it isn't." She stated,

The two turn to the Red Saber, curious what she meant by that. "What do you mean, Saber?"

"As she said, master. It's not daylight that shines through the windows." Archer of Kosala walks behind the Emperor of Roses. "It's still night, despite you two sleeping at least seven hours,"

"What!?" Ritsuka was really wide awake now, both he and Charlie stood on their feet and headed to the lobby.

Both Grandson and Grandfather rushed to the lobby of the theater, seeing that Sita was standing near the bathrooms.

Ritsuka stops as Charlie stood beside him. Outside in the Cybernetic City was still a starry night, despite being ten in the morning. "I-It's still night,"

Nero and Archer joined the group, seeing the sky for themselves. "It's been like this since we remembered." The red-haired Archer informed the Chaldean master, "We have no idea how or why the sky is like this."

"What about the citizens? How are they taking it?" Charlie asked the two, worried for the Parisians living in these conditions.

"Unfortunately most Parisians we met outside here accepted it like it was always like this," Sita explains, remembering interviewing a few Parisians before the attacks. "The Parisians we've met usually go on their lives by drinking and being oblivious to the entire situation at a pub."

Archer of Kosala supports his ally's statement. "Yes, however, there's a small-"

"Archer of Kosala, I believe it's not the time to tell master Fujimaru about them yet." Everyone looked up to see Caster of the Sakura Labyrinth's Familiar, "At their current state, they can be easily taken out by the enemy. For now, a secure base of operations is the best move they can make." The red-haired Archer sighs, seemingly agreeing with him.

Nero crosses her arms, questioning his suggestion. "Quick question, why can't we use this abandoned theater as our base?" The Saber asked, already taking a liking to the theater.

"This abandoned theater is under the Empire's watch; they have knowledge of how many Servants are left in the Lostbelt." The Familiar spoke, explaining that they are at risk of being discovered.

Charlie nodded, understanding the situation. "So, how are we going to freely move?" He asked the Familiar.

"That, I'm afraid you all have to figure that out." Caster of the Sakura Labyrinth informed the Chaldeans, having too much on his plate right now. "However, I have placed a Bounded Field bellow the Empire's feet. There are a few remaining Leylines from the original Paris lands." He informed the Chaldeans.

Caster's Familiar looks over to Archer of Kosla, "You materialized in the underground, right, Archer?" The Familiar asked the red-haired Archer,

Archer of Kosla nodded, crossing his arms. "Yeah, that's right." He tilts his head, having a thought of what the Familiar was asking. "Let me guess, you want me to lead master and his Servants down at the underground to Summon more Servants,"

Sita heard the plan but was skeptical about it. "Summoning Servants…won't the Eternal Empire notice something like that?" The Wife of Rama asked, putting her own thoughts into the conversation.

Charlie agreed with his ally, turning to the Familiar. "You said that the Empire has Paris under their watchful eyes. This includes Servants as well, if new Servants were Summoned then the Empire would definitely know our current location." The former Servant stated, understanding where the Queen of Kosla was coming from.

"Ah, that's where my little interference came in." The Familiar stated as Caster grins on the other end. "You see, I have someone who already tapped into the old Parisian Leylines so any Summons in the underground won't be detected."

Ritsuka nodded, seeing that things are shaping up for them. "Then let's get to it, Sita do you mind staying with Charlie?" he asked his newest Servant.

Sita nodded, obliging to her master's request. "Of course, master."

"Then you're all set for the time being," Caster of the Sakura Labyrinth said, flying towards the open crack in the roof.

"You're leaving already Caster?" The Emperor of Roses asked the Familiar.

The Vermillion Bird turns to the Chaldeans below him. "Well, I have to check on many things, such as locating the two Heroes you've come with, your Servants who probably were taken to a safe zone, and other assortments." Caster explains to the Chaldeans. "Until then, focus on your mission currently, master of Chaldea."

Ritsuka nodded, turning to Archer of Kosla who was ready to depart. "If you're ready, then follow me." The red-haired Archer tilts his head to the backstage once more, indicating there's a path to the underground.

"Good luck, master," Sita said her farewells, wishing them luck as the incarnation of Lakshmi.

"We'll be waiting for your return," Charlie gave a confident smile despite his situation.

After walking through the theater's passage leading to the underground, Nero, Ritsuka, and Archer of Kosla walks cautiously down the underground sewers of old Paris.

"Gotta admit, this reminds me of the time when both me and my Servants are looking for the missing people of Paris." Ritsuka chuckles at the not-so-long memory.

Archer flinched, looking at the Chaldean master. "Mmm? Oh, that's interesting, master." He smiles before looking forward again.

Ritsuka frowns, seeing that something was bothering the Servant from the Counter Force. "Is something wrong, Archer?" He asked.

Nero steps forward, sensing that something was off with this Servant. "Umu, you're correct master. Your mannerisms are how to say…off," She pointed out the rather strange act he was playing. "I know my performances on stage, but yours, I have to say is terrible. But I can tell your serious about taking on the Eternal Empire."

The red-haired Archer sighed, wanting to say this later but the Roman Emperor was keen on how he acted. "Alright, I was going to say this when everything was settled but…" He stops walking and looked at Ritsuka.

"Ritsuka Fujimaru, my master. We have met before, many years to say." Archer of Kosla explains to his current master.

"We have? But I don't recognize you-" Suddenly, a vague memory of the time when he was a prisoner under a certain red army flashed in his mind. A memory with a certain Taoist Tactician and a Revenge Realm Servant. "You…you are-"

Archer of Kosla nodded, "I'm the Archer of Kosla, a Servant that once rebelled against Proper Human History for Queen Kriemhild of the Revenge Realm." He proclaims his former allegiance to the master of Humanity.

Nero frowns, already aware of the situation back in Traum. "So you were resummoned to this Lostbelt to fight for Proper Human History this time around?" She asked cautiously but having faith that was his reason.

"Yes, most of the Servants that were here on behalf of Proper Human History were Servants either in the Revenge, Restoration, or Via Regia Realm," Archer explains, looking around for any signs of the Caster of the Sakura Labyrinth. "Just a kind gesture, the Servant leading the Resistance was also a member of the Revenge Realm."

Archer cleared his throat before speaking. "A-Anyways, that's all I have to say. I'm sorry for hiding it and…" He scratches his cheeks, remembering when he attacks him, Kadoc, and Holmes when under the influence of the Singularity.

Ritsuka's eyes widen at the many Servants that he met during the large Singularity was present here. Whether be it before they arrived or currently hidden in the Cybernetic City. "Whatever happened in the past is in the past, all that matters now is that you are here to help."

"Thank you, master." Archer of Kosla smiles, appreciating that his master accepts him despite what he did to him before.

Nero smiles, seeing that her intervention has opened up Archer of Kosla to better work with her…well their master. "Umu, now that we know each other better we can work well together!" She exclaims optimistic,

Ritsuka appreciates her attempts to better know each other. He looks at Nero, nodding to her as a token of appreciation. He turns back to Archer of Kosla, curious how long was it until they reach their destination.

"Archer, how long is it until we reach the location?" Ritsuka asked the former Revenge Realm Servant.

"It's just around the corner-" Archer froze, hearing some commotion from the corner.

Nero noticed the sudden change in his demeanor, "Archer, what is it?" The Emperor of Roses saw the enemies present at the other end.

Ritsuka knelt down, seeing what they saw. "Are those-"

"Damage Eaters, we've attempted to raid the Palace and manage to dwindle their forces." Archer of Kosla informed his master and ally, "though not as strong as the ones above, they still pose a threat if we're spotted."

Ritsuka and Nero understood what must be done, "Alright, make it quick you two."

The red-haired Archer held out his hand, materializing his silver bow with Divine arrows at the ready.

Nero materialized her flaming Sword, waiting for the moment to strike.

As soon as the Eaters turned around, the two Servants went straight for the attack.

Archer of Kosla released two arrows, impaling the two Eaters from behind.

"Hup!" Nero dashed forward, creating a blazing trail between the two Eaters. She slashed through the third Eater causing it to dematerialize. She quickly turns around and slashed across to finish off the others.

The blonde Emperor looks around, seeing no other signs of any enemies. "Umu, it seems we've finished off the enemies here,"

Archer sighs, turning to his master. "We're in the clear, and it seems that Lady Lakshmi's blessing was with us this time." He smiles at him.

"It seems so, Archer," Ritsuka commented, walking beside him as they made their way to the Emperor.

Nero looks at the area, sensing Mana within the specific area. "Praetor, this place seems suitable for a secret Summon." She points to the ground below her.

The red-haired Archer nodded, confirming what Nero said. "Yes, this is where I and another materialized in the Lostbelt," Archer informed them. "This should be safe to perform the ritual, master."

"Roger that," The black-haired master took out some Saint Quartz from his pocket. He placed them in the middle and draw a Summon Circle, "Alright, now for the Summon Ritual."

He took a deep breath while the other two Servants step back. Ritsuka held out his hand and began to chant.

" Let silver and steel be the essence.

Let stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation.

Let Humanity's wishes crystallized.

The Summoning circle began to glow blue, the Saint Quartz started to glow a blue hue.

Let the wishes of those who cannot be heard to be heard.

Let me be your anchor on this plane to serve those who cannot.

Let the three-forked road from the crown reaching unto the Throne.

The Command Seals glowed brightly; the Saint Quartz soon dissolved into liquid. The liquid began to merge, creating two bodies.

From your collapse shall be our beginnings to a new path to the future.

For I embodied that is all good in the world and you shall be the defender.

For rings of light appeared around the bodies of the Heroic Spirits answering Ritsuka's call. A myriad of colors shines with sparks of gold in the room as it forms two more rings.

To those who hear to their will and reason from Gods to Men, Heroes to Villains then answer!

My will creates your body, and your body shall be the sword of justice for the innocents.

To those who hear the plea for help then heed my call! If you do respond to those who plead!

The mass took form as the rings merged with the Heroes that Ritsuka summoned.

Come forth in the line of Duty! Guardian of the Scales!"

(Insert Tenacious Resolve)

Standing where the Saint Quartz was gathered was two Servants, two from a certain Singularity. The first one was a petite black-haired girl in traditional Chinese robes and hat with a large familiar plush on her shoulder.

She shyly looks up and greeted the one who Summoned her. "Servant, Caster turned Alter Ego. True Name Xu F... AAAAAH!? Wh... No way? This is Chaldea...?!" She looks around, recognized Ritsuka immediately, and feared the worst. "What, are you still holding a grudge or something?"

"X-Xu Fu, this isn't Chaldea and…" The Magus explains to the Servant their situation.

Ritsuka tried to explain to the Servant but was dismissed. "I-I see, s-so Servants from Traum are here as well?" Xu Fu paused before coming up to Ritsuka with the current knowledge she got from the Grail. "Is she here? Tell me she is! C'mon, bring Lady Yu here! Hurry!" She said excitedly.

"Hahahaha, u-unfortunately Hinako is back on the Storm Border," Ritsuka explains, seeing the Tactician frowns upon hearing where Yu Mei-ren is.

"I-I see," Xu Fu cleared her throat before properly greeting her new master. "U-Um, it's an honor to be fighting with you again…m-master…I-I'll do my best in the name of Chaldea." The Alter Ego was still nervous about working with Ritsuka once again but determined to save Humanity this time.

Ritsuka smiles, seeing it's the same Xu Fu as before. "Same, having an Alchemist with some military tactics around is what we needed."

A blush appeared on the Alchemist's cheeks. "I-I'm not well versed in military tactics as a Tactician as Han Xin, but I'll try my best master." Xu Fu proclaims,

Suddenly a hand fell on the Alchemist's shoulder. "Now, if you're asking tactics master…why not go with someone with an occupation similar to that…"

Ritsuka chuckles, knowing whose voice was that. "That's why I was hoping you would show up…"

The last Servant has grey hair with an ahoge shape like a lightning bolt. Dark eyes with purple eyeshadow, a neat dark grey uniform with golden accents, and a grey cape with the inside dark blue. In his hands was a large staff that was glowing at the tip and a few floating lanterns around him.

He placed his hand on his chest, greeting his Summoner. "I arrived answering your summons, Ruler class, I'm James Moriarty." He greeted his master. "To think I'd have such a promising future that I'd be summoned, I'm kind of worth my salt," He grins,

"James Moriarty, the Greatest Villian who caused chaos around Europe," Archer of Kosla stated, seeing him a few times around the Revenge Realm but never knowing who he was.

Moriarty looks at the red-haired Archer, "Huh! Eh? A great villain who was active all over Europe? What the hell are you talking about?" He jokes with the Servant from Kriemhild's forces.

"W-What? You don't me-"

Ritsuka held his hand to Archer, knowing all of Moriarty's tricks. "Try not to question it, Archer." He looks at his two Servants, "Let's head back to where we call our base, there's a lot to go over."

With that, Ritsuka and his Servants with his newly acquired Servants head back to the abandoned theater to discuss what to do next. (End Song)
