[The Loud kids land near Icepeak Arena and saw Gaeric talking with Volo.]
Volo: Why, if it isn't Linka and her brothers! What a pleasure, finding some familiar faces–or any face–in this far corner of the Alabaster Icelands. And I see you brought two more brothers too.
Linka: Yep, and they're the last ones too, which means all the brothers have been found!
Volo: That's great! That means your own personal mission is completed! I came to bring Gaeric an order of Swordcaps, and he was more than willing to have a chat about Avalugg! What do you say? Interested in a bit of gossip?
Linka: Not really.
Volo: Oh, have some mercy! Can't you see I'm dying to tell you what I've learned? Well, I'll tell you anyway.
Linka: Fine.
Volo: So, Avalugg, yes? The fifth of Hisui's nobles...
Gaeric: That he is! And you know what? He's an absolute beast!
Volo: Well, yes. According to what I was told, not only does he barrage you with chunks of ice–fires off massive icicles, and he can cause sharp ice crystals to erupt from the ground below you! Doesn't that seem a bit too powerful to take on? What's more, apparently the Avalugg of old could be up to a hundred feet tall. Doesn't that seem a bit too big to take on?
Gaeric: Oh, you'll be all right! You just have to eat some Swordcaps, then give your training your all—nothing better for building muscle than that. Onward now—to the arena!
Volo: Hmm, yes, well, I did want to see that Avalugg but perhaps not at the cost of my life. So I suppose my freezing digits and I will be off!
[Volo leaves.]
Linka: Come on guys, Let's go!
[The Loud Kids Arrive at Icepeak Arena. Gaeric was there.]
Gaeric: So we are to quell Avalugg, as you wished… In the end, the strength of your feelings won out. Or maybe your real strength comes from the way that you walk among both people and Pokémon.
Linka: Either way works fine.
Gaeric: Well! I suppose I'd better get to work making some balms using that Eternal Ice. I've heard how they are made, and with muscles like mine, it'll be only a moment's work!
[After a while, Gaeric finished making the Balms.]
Gaeric: And there you have it! If you truly wish to quell Avalugg, then walk on. The path lies before you! But know that Avalugg will hurl chunks of ice at you without relent! You'll need unrivaled dodging ability!
Linka: I'm going.
[Linka walked up to a slope as a snowy breeze blew.]
Linka: All right Avalugg where are you?
?: I see you came to challenge me.
[The Earth begin to rumble as Linka stepped back. A colossal quadrupedal pokemon made of ice emerged from the earth. Like the other nobles in their frenzy, he was glowing.]
Avalugg: I am Avalugg, Lord of the Tundra. I am the biggest of the 5 nobles, and I challenge you to a fight.
Linka: Bring it on!
Avalugg: I'll start with some icy breath.
[Avalugg breathed icy breath left to right and right to left. Linka dodged the attack and started throwing balms.]
Linka: You like these balms huh! There's more where that came from!
Avalugg: How about something really cool?
[Avalugg created rows of icicles that popped out of the ground. Linka dodged the attack as she continued throwing balms.]
Avalugg: Still not enough? Let's see you dodge this!
[Avalugg fired balls of ice at Linka. Linka got hit by one of them, but dodged the rest as she continued throwing balms.]
Linka: Not bad, but I'm better!
Avalugg: Oh yeah?
[Avalugg fired a beam of ice across the field, but Linka dodges it. Meanwhile the other watch the battle.
Leon: Linka! Linka!
Levi: Even though she can be a bit of a dope, I have confidence that Linka will pull it off. Even the odds are as much in Avalugg's favor.
Gaeric: Tell me what is it like living with Linka and the brothers?
Levi: It can be a bit...chaotic, but we are all a happy family regardless.
Gaeric: Kinda like being a Pearl Clan villager living here. There weather can be hostile, but it's our home regardless.
Levi: I see...
Leon: Fight back! Fight back!
[Back with the battle, Avalugg was in a daze after firing the beam.]
Avalugg: Whoa. I fell doozy.
Linka: Better send out a pokemon fast!
[Linka sent out Clippers]
Avalugg: I shall battle!
Linka: Use Iron Head!
[Clippers used Iron head on Avalugg, but misses.]
Avalugg: Check out my signature move, Mountain Gale!
[Avalugg used Mountain Gale on Clippers.]
Linka: Use Iron Head again!
[Clippers used Iron Head again, causing Avalugg to fall into a daze.]
Linka: Now to throw those balms!
[Linka threw balms nonstop until Avalugg came back to his senses.]
Avalugg: Ngh, now that that's over...
[Avalugg once again spewed ice breath and fired three more rows of icicles, but Linka dodged it. Avalugg then fired more Ice balls and another ice beam, but Linka dodged that as well. Linka send out a pokemon the moment she got a chance.]
Linka: Use Iron Head!
[Clippers used Iron Head. Sending Avalugg in a Daze. Linka threw balm s nonstop until he shook it off.]
Avalugg: I think this getting too easy for you...I know! I'll use two of my attacks at the same time!
[Avalugg spewed ice breath. This time, he also fired icicle rows while doing so.]
Linka: Man you're a creative noble, aren't you?
[Avalugg then fired icicles in a different pattern, this time in a more pyramid like pattern. After firing more ice balls...]
Avalugg: Let's make this a bit harder!
[Avalugg made three icicle patches in the left-right center before firing another ice beam. Linka dodged the ice beam while also avoiding the patches. Linka then saw her chance to send in a pokemon.]
Linka: Go Clippers!
[Linka sents out Clippers.]
Linka: Use Iron Head!
[Clippers used Iron head on Avalugg. Sending him to a daze. Linka continued to throw balms nonstop until...]
Avalugg: I...lost?
Linka: That's right!
[Linka threw the finishing balm at Avalugg, quelling his frenzy and returning him back to his original colors of light blue face and mandibles with slate legs.]
Avalugg: I'm...free!
Levi: She did it! She really did it!
Leon: Yay! Linka!
Avalugg: Thank you, Linka. Please take this for quelling my frenzy.
[Avalugg gives Linka a cyan plate.]
Linka: Which plate is this?
Avalugg: The Icicle plate. Now I can go back to being peaceful once more.
[The others walked up to Linka along with Irida.]
Irida: Gaeric, sir, you needn't look quite so downcast...
Gaeric: B-but seeing mighty Avalugg quelled—and by such a slight child…A child that fell from the sky…Is this Linka girl some kind of monster in disguise?!
Irida: She is no monster. She's the one who risked her life without a second thought in order to quell our frenzied, suffering nobles. Linka... Gaeric cares for the Pearl Clan with all his heart and believes in almighty Sinnoh just as deeply. So he has feared more than any of us that getting involved with the Diamond Clan and your Galaxy Team could cause our people to flag in their devotion to almighty Sinnoh.
Linka: Really...
Irida: But that will change.
Gaeric: Irida…?
Irida: I know your fears will change once you see what I've seen. Linka has much to teach us. She's shown us how we can overcome all manner of strife, so long as our Pokémon are with us! She's made me want to help Glaceon realize greater strength as well—and to see my whole world grow broader!
Gaeric: It seems you've already changed, Irida.
Adaman: I knew you could pull that off, Linka.
[Adaman and Sabi walk up to them.]
Adaman: You quelled every last frenzied noble! So is that space-time rift going to start closing up now or what?
Irida: There's little was of knowing for sure. Though the rift does seem perhaps a little smaller, somehow.
Adaman: Let's hope so, anyway. Well, with any luck, things will settle down now... Although even if the rift does start spitting out more of that strange lightning, we should still be all right as long as we've got Linka.
Irida: Indeed we should be. It's good to have her at our side.
Adaman: You know something, Irida? We may never agree on who's got it right about almighty Sinnoh, but you Pearl Clan folk aren't all bad in my book.
Irida: Look who's finally seen reason!
Adaman: Anyway, now that we've quelled the last noble... I say we pay grim old Commander Kamado a visit and see if he'll finally crack a smile for us!
Linka: Right, come on guys, time to head back to camp!
[As they left, Avalugg looked up to them, pacifically Leon.]
Avalugg: I wonder what your future be, Leon.
