APRIL

Seth walked towards Thora in the arena with a grin on his face. She crossed her arms and tilted her head.

"What are you up to?" She asked.
"It's April," he said.
"And?" She asked.
"Did you forget about our deal last month?" He asked.

She gave him that cute, sideways smile she always gave when she had nothing to argue back with but for some reason found him extra cute. He knew that facial expression by now. It was the same one she had given him when he showed up in February with chocolate for her.

"I thought you would have forgotten about it by now," she said.
"Never," he shook his head. "And I still feel the same. Don't tell me you're gonna back out of it. A deal is a deal."
"A deal is a deal," she agreed. "Tomorrow morning? Breakfast somewhere?"
"You're on," he said. "I'll be knocking on your door at 8 AM."
"No sleeping together tonight?" She asked.
"Girl, you gotta work for it if you want this body," he joked. "We're doing the first date the right way."
"As long as you remember the unwritten rule about no sex until third date then," she said.
"Damn it!" He laughed. "Crap, I gotta run. I'm up next."

Seth and Thora entered a diner together and sat down. He had done what he had said he would do last night. He hadn't spent the night with her but instead picked her up at 8 AM. A waitress came over and poured some coffee for them and took their orders. Once she was gone, Seth reached over the table and took Thora's hand.

"You look nervous," he said.
"We already had our picture taken," she said.

She nodded her head to the side. He looked over at another table and saw a teenage girl with her phone up. She was wearing a Seth Rollins shirt so clearly she knew who they were.

"If we take a picture with you, will you let us eat in peace?" Seth asked.
"Yes," the girl beamed. "Mom, take the picture."

Seth and Thora stood up and the girl ran over to them to get a picture with them. She thanked them and walked back to her table. She stayed true to her word and put her phone away. It didn't matter. She had already snapped a picture of them holding hands.

"That picture will be all over social medias by 9," she said.
"Is that so bad?" He asked.
"I don't know," she sighed. "I was naive to think we could do this at our own pace. There never seems to be any boundaries when you're famous."
"We chose this life," he said.
"I chose wrestling. I'm not sure I would do it all over again if I knew how some people can be," she said.

It hurt to hear her speak this honestly about it but he also understood. There were days where he hated it too after having been chased around in an airport by an entitled fan that didn't understand the word no. He reached over the table and took her hand again.

"It's gonna be okay," he said.
"I hope so. I can't see the future. I do know I like being here right now with you," she said.
"That's all I want to hear," he smiled. "Ah, here she comes with our food. It looks delicious."
