It began with a small giggle.

Lucy started, which caused Cobra to admit his shoulders weren't just shaking from the chill from earlier. Both of them laughed, short, small sounds at first before taking on a life of their own and completely filling the room with the kind of bellyful laugh that made one sore afterward.

It went on for several minutes, afterwards, both of them were gasping, panting for air, tears in their eyes but smiles on their lips. Cobra's initial worry that Lucy was going to take Lyon leaving in such a huff badly evaporated like morning dew, and became half the reason he was smiling at all.

She wheezed out a final chuckle. "Oh Mavis have mercy, the fact that he ended with that!" She took deep breaths as to not get sucked into a second round of hysterics. "Oh…I always knew he had a dramatic side, but this was on a whole new level!"

"I'll admit I wanted to squeeze the little twerp's neck when he started yelling at us, but maybe I'll let it pass so he can die of embarrassment instead."

"Knowing Lyon, that will either be much harder or much easier than you think."

"Good to know, maybe if I see him again I can help expedite the process." This caused another laugh wheeze from Lucy. His smile felt glued onto his face, but he had no desire to pry it off. For a moment he just stared at her, laughing, almost completely forgetting about the awkwardness of before. Until he didn't. Cobra shifted his eye back towards the lacrima, so he wouldn't be caught looking for too long. He slowly felt Lucy's laughter finally die down.
