~With Lucius~

Lucius had just left The Green's house and was walking towards an apparation point located just a block away from The Green's house. However, he stopped as he decided to disillusion himself and apparate just on their roof. His curiosity was piqued by the fact that she looked nearly identical to a teenage Bellatrix, but he couldn't sense any magic from her. He then cast a charm on the house that made the walls and floors transparent to him for one hour. This was so he could see what he needed. Jade sighed sadly and almost gave her mother the letter. After she remembered that conversation with the snake, she ripped back the letter from her hand.

"Why?" Jade asked with a dangerous growl in her voice."If you can give me one valid reason, I'll rip it up myself! But tell me why I can't attend this school!" She yelled getting angrier and angrier as she spoke.

"You can't be sent to that school with weird children!" Lucius scowled at the muggle's reasoning.

'If she really is a witch I will ensure she is sent to that school.' Lucius thought hearing how she treated Jade oddly made him feel protective and he didn't understand why.

"Who's to say they all act like him? And even if they do who's to say I would act like ANY of them with the proper guidance of my 'parents'?"

Lucius smirked because that was Draco's response to arguing with him about taking him to a different school. Lucius chuckled at her air quotes. Both muggles looked at each other, and it was the look they gave each other that forced the words out of her mouth.

"Y-you're not really my parents are you?" Mr. Green didn't speak, didn't even look at her as guilt appeared on his face.

"What do you mean by that? O-of course we are!" screeched her 'mother'. "And you're not applying to that school because there's no such thing as magic... Witches and wizards, yeah right!"

Jade glared at the woman. "You're lying." She said in a dark tone.

"Wha-"

"SHUT THE HELL UP! IN FACT, STOP TALKING TO ME!" Jade yelled at Mrs. Green as she lifted her hand with her palm directly facing the woman.

Lucius, who was still on the roof looked like he was watching a fascinating TV drama and smirked as it all unfolded. When she removed her hand, Mrs. Green no longer had a mouth on her face.

Jade, however, was so angry she didn't even notice and stared directly at Mr. Green while speaking, "Now look at me and tell me the damned truth!"

"What gave you the idea we weren't your parents?" He asked instead of answering right away.

Jade walked towards the kitchen to make tea to calm her anger to a small degree.

"Remember at the zoo, when you asked if I wanted to see the reptiles?" She questioned.

He nodded then she explained how she met Nagini, without revealing her name.

"The snake told me I was not a Green, then today I received a letter from a school saying I've been accepted to a school I didn't apply for and Mr. Malfoy, he was kind enough to come to America and explain everything to two... no, three people he's never met about a world we'd have never known about without this!" She said slamming the letter on the kitchen table.

Lucius couldn't help but smirk to himself, thinking

'Well looks like I will help her... and if this isn't enough proof to Dumbledore that I'm a 'good guy', then I don't know what is!'

He then stood to apparate again, having seen what he needed.

'I did this as proof to Dumbledore that I don't hate muggle-borns... however, lucky for me I don't believe she is a muggle-born.'

~With Jade~

Mr. Green sighed, then told her the truth... er, what he and his wife knew.

"We don't know who your real parents are. All we know is that you came to us one night when you were two in a basket wrapped in this blanket." He said walking over towards a trunk filled with all her baby items and pulling out an emerald-green blanket with her first name embroidered into one corner in silver.

The blanket looked like it had been made yesterday. He handed it to her. She slowly ran her fingers over the fabric and a tear silently ran down her cheek.

"She didn't want to tell you. She thought you might hate us for it if we had." He said motioning towards his wife, whose mouth had returned.

Jade who finally looked up from the blanket whipped her eyes and gave them both a stern stare.

"I'm going to that school. If for nothing else, to find my parents and ask them why I didn't grow up with them." She said just before taking her newly acquired bird and baby blanket up to her room.

"No, you can't, you..." She heard Mrs. Green's voice yell.

"Just try to stop me!" Jade yelled in a challenging tone while wearing a smirk on her face.

She knew Mrs. Green would never challenge her in return.

~~~August 31, 1991~~~
Jade had sent her owl with her letter to school the week before. Today Mr. Malfoy had sent her a letter via owl, telling her to use the portkey so they could get her a wand and supplies for school. He'd meet her there as soon as she did. She let out a nervous sigh, then wrote a letter to Mr. & Mrs. Green:
'Left for London, will return later.
~Jade.'
Then she used a charm she'd read in the book Lucius gave her to stick it to the back of her door. She then dressed for the day and brushed her hair. With a shaking hand, she picked up the portkey pen, closed her eyes, and whispered, 'London Bridges' to it. She then hesitantly opened her eyes and when she opened them she was in a train station with hardly anyone around to notice her. She couldn't believe it. When Lucius finally found her, she faced him but apparently hadn't noticed him. He noticed she was wearing something different from what he'd expected. Most girls prefer dresses or skirts while out and about. Not her. She wore a black Linkin Park t-shirt, Galaxy printed pants, and the same boots he'd seen her in when he met her and her 'parents'. The outfit was odd to him, but not distasteful in his opinion... maybe it was due to it all being in dark colors and he loved black.
"Hello, Miss Green." He said, finally getting her to see him.
"Oh! Hello Mr. Malfoy, call me Jade... Miss Green just doesn't suit me." She greeted him with a warm smile.
"Jade then... This is where you will come tomorrow to board the train to Hogwarts," Lucius stated getting straight to the point as he pointed at the wall just behind her. She looked behind herself. "Did you bring any money from the muggle world with you to pay for what you may need?" He inquired, assuming she had but asked anyway.
"Yeah." She said pulling out a white muggle wallet.
"How much?" He asked as he led the way towards an apparation spot, not far off from where they were.
"650$ My... parents..." She hesitated on the word 'parents' as she wasn't sure what to call them anymore. However, as far as she knew, he hadn't heard their argument, so she wasn't inclined to confide in him about it.
"... told me it should cover anything I'd need or want... for a while." She continued.
"They were correct. I'm planning to take you to Gringotts first to exchange your muggle currency for wizarding currency, then we'll get you your wand." Lucius told her as he suddenly pulled her close for a side-long apparition.
After they suddenly appeared in front of the bank, her stomach twisted and did summersaults... she was about to get sick! She pushed away from the blonde and threw up in a nearby trash bin.
"Sorry, I just didn't expect it." She mumbled as she whipped her mouth with a cloth he'd just handed her.
"Don't be. It's quite natural for a first-time apparation. Just glad you decided to find a trash bin to do that in instead of my shoes like most mu- uh... muggle-borns would have." He said trying not to insult her as he seemed to like talking to her.
"I'm surprised you didn't do that after port keying." He said quirking an eyebrow briefly.
"Now that you mention it... it felt vaguely familiar... kinda like I'd done it before..." Jade muttered trailing off in thought.
"Anyway, you may want to wear this." He said as he handed her a folded-up cloak from within a pocket in his cloak.
"Why?" She asked with a curious stare.
"Because there's a witch that you almost identically resemble, who you don't want to be mistaken for... Er, well not here at least."
"But wouldn't you or even I, be able to tell them I'm not?" She asked as she put on the cloak.
'Wish my son listened as well as her.'He thought to himself.
"Yes, but the goblins wouldn't listen and call the Aurors upon sight of you."
"Who is she? Why is she so important?" Jade asked before placing the hood over her head.
"She's Bellatrix Lestrange let's just leave it at she did many cruel things to many innocent people, who she thought took her only child from her home nearly ten years ago." He said leading her into the building.
'Now, don't take your hood off until they've taken blood from you,' he whispered sternly. 'Trust me, you do not want to cross these creatures. They're far worse than house elves.' Lucius' voice was firm as he spoke, and he stared directly at the head goblin's desk, clearing his throat to get its attention.
She looked curiously at him after he said 'house elf'. She had no idea what they were.
"Ah, Mr. Malfoy! How wonderful to see you! Are you wanting to deposit more into your vault?" The goblin asked with a greedy look in his eyes.
"Not quite, Jade here needs to get set up for her first vault." The blonde said motioning towards the hooded twelve-year-old standing next to him.
"Remove your hood." The goblin said in a gruff voice.
She hesitated for a moment before remembering Lucius's instructions and shaking her head no.
"She's not planning to remove her hood until you make her a vault. It's for her safety. But trust me she'll do no harm here." Lucius told the goblin, who huffed and motioned for them to follow him while grabbing a piece of paper on his way through a narrow hall with vault doors all along the walls.
"Prick your finger, then press the blood in the square above your name." The goblin said handing her a dagger and paper.
Afterward, she followed the instructions and handed them back to the goblin. The goblin's eyes grew wide as he read through her changed profile.
"I've changed my mind, this is not the vault for you!" the goblin said almost fearfully.
Jade looked from the goblin at Lucius in confusion. Lucius shrugged not knowing why he'd just done that.
"This is your vault." The goblin told her.
It was many, many, many times larger than the first vault they'd stopped in front of. It had a solid black door on the outside, while the inside was covered top to bottom in Slytherin colors. The vault was also filled to the brim with piles of money, which confused her.
'650$? This seems like millions maybe billions...' She thought to herself as Lucius spoke for her.
"This cannot be correct. I was once married to one of the Blacks. This is one of their vaults."
"Dumbledore doesn't want her to know who she really is. This is the only way I'm allowed to hint at who she is, Malfoy." The goblin informed them, but she was too surprised to listen.
By the end of their visit, she'd given the goblin her muggle money and he gave her 50 Gallions, 117 Sickles, and 200 Knuts.
However, before they left, the goblin asked, "Can you pull your hood down? I'd like to see if you look like her."
She nodded, not really comprehending what he'd hinted at, and removed her hood. But Lucius knew exactly what he was saying.
'That... that means she's...' He shook his head refusing to even let that thought continue not wanting to get his own hopes up.
Bella's daughter was his favorite family member second only to his own son. Within seconds of removing her hood, every goblin in the place surrounded her, making her feel uneasy.
"Back up, back up! This is not Lestrange!" Shouted the goblin who'd taken her to the vaults.
"Well, she certainly looks like her." Said a feminine voice at the entrance of the bank.
"Who are you?" Jade asked the witch.
She was very beautiful with blonde hair, blue eyes, high cheekbones, and a thin figure.
"Narcissa Black and who are you?"
"Jade Green, Ma'am." She didn't know why, but she felt intimidated by the woman.
"Charming," Narcissa said with a fake smile and turned to face her ex-husband. "So what are you doing here Lucius?" she asked.
Lucius looked at his ex-wife for a second.
"Last I heard Narcissa... we... were divorced." He said motioning back and forth between the two of them.
"Well, yes but-"
"Then I assume you understand I no longer have to tell you about my dealings or with whom I associate." He replied to her as he realized the look she had given Jade was her thinking the young girl was a muggle-born. "We are leaving." He said glaring at his ex-wife before motioning Jade out the door.
"Next is Olivander's wand shop," Lucius told her as he led her away from the bank and into the busy streets of Wizarding London.
"Well, the goblins didn't seem that terrible." Jade smiled.
"I believe that is because they thought you were someone's daughter." He replied, mumbling daughter.
'But that can't be, she's not a pureblood.' He sighed muttering to himself.
"I thought so too, but since they didn't want to say who, I'll have to wait to find out for myself if the chance ever arises." She said with a shrug as if it was an everyday thing.
Jade decided it might be a smart idea to pull out a list of required school items she'd been given with her first letter to school. It read:
After they stepped in front of Olivander's Jade looked up at Lucius to ask about some items on her list.
"Why do I need a telescope? I'll never use it."
Lucius chuckled. "You will indeed use it, one of your classes will require it." He told her as they walked into the wand shop.
"How might I help you, Mr. Malfoy?" asked an elderly man with short whitish-grey hair, who had a look of hate on his face towards the blonde.
"Not me, Mr. Olivander. But maybe you might help her?" the man glanced at her.
Whose expression changed to one of surprise rather than an odd look of recognition.
"What can I do for you, Miss?" Mr. Olivander asked in a kind voice, but she didn't buy it for a second.
"I just need a wand." She told the man in a stern-straight-to-the-point tone and with an equally serious look in her eyes.
She knew it was rude, but she liked Lucius. Mr. Olivander nodded and took out a few wands, asking her to pick one. She grabbed the one that felt right and tested it out, feeling a surge of energy as soon as she held it.
"Pick it up and wave it, why don't you?" He said anxiously waiting to see if it had chosen her in return.
