Quinn fiddled with the tips of her fingers as she sat down at one of the many tables in the quad. It was nearing lunchtime, so people were gathering around, only adding to her nervousness. She had hoped to do this in a more private environment, but as more time passed, the more students and facility members began to fill in the empty seats around. She didn't even know why she was so nervous or why some part of her felt like she had done something wrong. Winston was just a friend, one who she greatly appreciated for sharing the same love of science. She had spent countless late nights conversing with him about the latest in scientific discoveries. Their messages always consisted of their own thoughts and options and what type of research they were working on. However, she was worried that somehow in her emails, she may have somehow led him to believe it was more than just friendly chatter, and now he may have come to PCA in hopes of garnering a relationship with her. Usually, she'd be very flattered, it was always nice to know that somebody liked you, but she had a boyfriend. One who she loved very much and who was currently driving her mad with his insistent foot-tapping. "Can you please stop," She gently touched his upper thigh, halting his foot from twitching so much. It had even started making their table shake.

"Sorry," he sighed, leaning back in the chair in an exasperated manner. He crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back into the chair, trying to get comfortable, but after a moment, he groaned and sat back straight up. "When is this dude gonna show up?" he exclaimed, getting increasingly annoyed by the second as they continued to wait.

She looked around, shrugging her shoulders. "I'm not sure; soon, hopefully." After they finished making out in his room, they went to the Dean's office. His secretary told them that he was out dealing with a problem on campus, something to do with a case of cotton swabs and white glue going missing from the supply closet. He was not in his office anymore but had left a message for Quinn. He had informed Winston of the issues and advised him to meet at the quad for his campus tour.

Logan frowned as he watched her search for the other guy, "What is he getting you more flowers?" he scoffed, thinking back to the bouquet of yellow roses that he hoped were thrown away by now. He hasn't even given her flowers since their last date in the janitor's closet. He hated that the guy beat him to the punch and that they were her favorite color too. He felt like he was being one-upped as her boyfriend and did not like that feeling.

"Would you stop," she scolded him, knowing that his attitude was granted, but that didn't mean she would let him get away with acting like a total jerk. "Look, I'm going to tell Winston that you and I are together and that nothing will ever happen between him and I." it sucked having to break someone's heart, but it needed to be done. She refused to be the type of girl to lead somebody on when you don't return those feelings.

"Quinn!"

Both teens stood up from their seats when they heard her name being called. They spotted the boy genius, waving eagerly towards them as he walked forward quickly and had a big smile on his face. "He still acts like a geek, I see." Logan scoffed, shoving his hands inside the pockets of his cargo pants. "Oww!" he cried out, jumping away when he felt his skin being pinched. "What you do that for?" he rubbed at the now red skin of his arm.

"Be nice." Quinn scolded him. Jealous or not, she would not let him insult somebody she considered a close friend. "Winston, it's good to see you again."

"No, it's not," Logan muttered under his breath, only to have Quinn step on his foot, making him cry out in pain.

"Mi Amor," Winston stopped right in front of the two, beaming brightly as he stood before the glass-wearing girl. He was at least a head taller than her, so he looked down at her. "It is so good seeing you in person. How I have dreamed of this moment for so long." He placed his hands on her shoulders, bringing her forward so that he could place another kiss on both her cheeks.

Logan instantly stepped into action, "Hey, you can't just-!" he was halted when Winston did the same thing to him, hands on his own shoulder and kissing both cheeks. He did not know how to respond to that.

"It is so good seeing you in person as well, Logan!" Winston exclaimed with no hint of sarcasm or malice as he smiled at both teens. "From all the messages I have received, I feel as though we are already amici." He looked the other boy up and down, taking in his features as he seemed to observe him. "Strange, from how Quinn described you, I certainly can see the handsome features, but I still do not understand how one's face can look like both a butt and a jerk?" it was a term she had used many times in her emails to him, but he was still confused on it. He had seen others with disfigurations, but the curly-haired boy displayed none of that, so he was still unsure of what she meant by that. He still had much to learn about the world.

Lips curled all the way down into a frown that spoke volumes; Logan slowly turned to give Quinn a very unhappy face. She gave an apologetic smile back, suddenly feeling somewhat guilty about all those late-night rants she sent to Winston about the other boy standing next to her. If she could go back in time and tell her past self that she would be so happy dating Logan, her past self would probably not believe her, but she still wishes she could take some things back.

"No matter," Winston brushed it off; this was a problem he would solve for another day. "I am just so eccitato being here at PCA with Quinn and everyone." He made another move to give them both more kisses on the cheek, but they yelled out and backed away.

Unbeknownst to their two friends, Zoey, Lola, Chase, and Michael were hiding behind a few bushes watching the scene play out. It was wrong, and they knew that, but that also didn't stop them from bringing binoculars so they could get a better view. They arrived around the same time Winston had and quickly found a nearby bush to hide in. Each of them had brought little bags of chips, popcorn, and soda so that they could watch everything unfold.

"Um…?" the four jumped when they heard a voice behind them and turned to see James and Vince looking at them in both confusion and a minor concern. "Are we interrupting?" James asked, wondering if he even wanted to know.

Lola shushed them and pulled both boys down, Vince by her and James by Michael. "We're watching this hot Italian guy hit on Quinn and kiss Logan on the cheeks!"

Both boys turned their heads so fast they could taste the whiplash but needed to confirm that they heard the same thing. They looked at each other, then their group of friends, then at the couple they were spying on, and then back at the two of them. After a moment of staring, they shrugged their shoulders and got comfortable amongst the group in the bushes to watch the action unfold.

Quinn had to take a moment to steady her heart and clear her mind. This day was so not going how she thought it would. "Uh…Winston?" she raised a hand, giving a small wave at the Italian boy, who seemed very happy with himself. "Can I ask why do you keep doing that?"

"In my town, this is how we greet those we are close to. How we express how happy we are to see them." Winston told the two students of his customs.

Now she understood why. It made her feel a lot better that it was a form of greeting and a display of affection. "We don't kiss people on the cheek here. Usually, most people wave or shake hands." Logan nodded vigorously, not looking the least bit pleased at this new bit of knowledge.

"Oh!" Winston nodded in understanding, "My apologies, amici." He sat at the table, taking out a small notebook from his pants pocket, and began writing things down.

Quinn cocked her head to the side as she watched him jolt down a few lines. She sat opposite the other, gesturing for Logan to do the same. "What are you doing?" she asked, looking over the notebook that seemed to have only a few pages left in it.

Winston looked up, smiling happily. "I am writing all the new things I learn in every place I visit," he showed the two the notes he had taken, nearly all the pages, back and front, were full of all the things he learned. It was impressive the amount of detail he had put in. "It is all thanks to you, Quinn, that I do this!" he cheered, putting his notebook away as he scooted his seat forward to take her hands in his. "When you told me of your attempts to change and charge forward to get what you want, it inspired me." He looked deeply into her eyes, his eyes a mixture of green and blue, staring right into her brown ones. "This is why I call you my muse. You are my inspiration."

A red hue took over Quinn's face as she listened to his sweet words. No one has ever said anything so sweet and romantic to her in her life.

Sitting directly behind them, Logan had his mouth wide open, looking both disgusted and aggravated that this guy was blatantly flirting with his girlfriend right in front of him, and she was going right along with it.

"Logan is about to blow a gasket." Michael chuckled, shoving a handful of popcorn in his mouth.

Chase nodded along, "Big time." He was enjoying the little show they were watching.

"Excuse me?" the six teens turned quickly around to see Mr. Berringer standing behind them, hands on his hips. "What do you kids think you're doing?" he had seen them hiding in the bushes when he was getting lunch. As a teacher, it was his duty to investigate and see what the students were up to, along with stopping them if they were up to shenanigans.

This time it was both Lola and Zoey to shush him.

Taken aback by this blatant disregard for his authority, Mr. Berringer stomped his foot. "I am a teacher and will not let you-!"

Lola shushed him once more. "Quiet,"

"Quinn is about to tell a hot Italian guy that she's dating Logan," Vince chimed in, chewing on a piece of red vine.

"But he's flirting with her, and it's kind of working," James added in, taking a sip of soda as he pointed to the three teens in the distance.

"Ohh, drama." Mr. Berringer fell to his knees right beside Zoey, reaching forward to take some of her popcorn so that he could also watch in comfort along with the students.

Beginning to feel his eye twitch, Logan cleared his throat and stood up from the chair, nearly knocking it over as he did so. "Quinn," he spoke, voice strained from trying to keep his anger in. As much as he hated them, those stupid anger management classes he went to were coming in handy today. "Isn't there something you wanted to tell Winston? About us?"

Feeling like a bucket of cold water had been dumped on her, Quinn tore her hands away from Winston's grasp. Suddenly feeling completely embarrassed, she stood up from her seat and moved beside Logan. "Yes, there is something I really need to tell you," She looked at the boy, who stared up at her with big eyes that flashed with worry in her direction. She groaned, feeling so bad that she had to break his heart, but it was the only way. "Logan and I are dating. He's my boyfriend."

"You're boyfriend?" Winston repeated, looking back and forth between her and the curly-haired boy beside her. "An amor for my amor?" he questioned, making Quinn wince. She hoped she hadn't hurt him too badly. She thought about being subtle but knew that the direct approach was the best thing to do. "This is fantastico!" he all but jumped up from his seat, waving his arms up in the air in glee as he once again stepped forward to place a kiss on both of their cheeks.

"Dude!" Logan yelled out, wiping his face roughly with both hands. "Will you stop doing that!" his annoyance towards the other was only growing by the second.

"My apologies, but I am filled with such glee," just like before he took Quinn's hands into his as he slowly swung them together. "I could feel the pain you felt in your email when you told me your tale of heartbreak." He gave her a sad look, and she couldn't help but frown. She hated remembering her breakup with Mark and how he had lied to her. It hurt so much to know that the person you cared for didn't value you enough to tell you the truth. "But then you described how you were going to charge forward to get your happiness. I was so inspired that I knew I had to do the same." This time he was the one to release their hands as he stepped back, arms wide open so that he could show off his form. "I, too, wanted to change my life but never felt like I could. Then I received your email and knew that I could. So I did just that. All thanks to my muse, I traveled the world, met amazing people, and have become my true self."

Logan wasn't buying it. "So is that why you ignored her?" he stared down the other, trying to appear intimidating.

At this, Winston finally settled down and looked upset. "Yes, I admit my actions were rather thoughtless of me." He looked at the glasses-wearing girl, placing his hands on her shoulders. "My apologies, mi amor. I abandoned you in your time of need, all for my own selfish reasons. I hope you can forgive me."

She smiled, feeling her heart lighten at his words. "Of course, I forgive you, Winston." Hearing his words did make her feel so much better. Knowing that he left to better himself all because of her was really flattering.

"Wonderful!" Winston cheered, taking his hands off Quinn just as Logan stepped forward to remove them himself. He did not like how touchy-feely this guy was. "I am so excited to learn all about PCA. May we start the tour now?" he had been eager to learn about the school since he started speaking with the girl, and she told him all her adventures with her friends.

"Okay!" Quinn was ecstatic! Not only did she learn that he wasn't in love with her, but that he hadn't abandoned their friendship. He set off to better himself, and she was the inspiration behind it. Knowing this, she felt all the weight lift off her shoulder. She could enjoy her time with her pen pal, talk about all things science and help him learn more things about the world besides scholastic knowledge. "I have to show you my lab; I've been experimenting with the latest in African fish oils and what they can do."

He nodded eagerly, clapping his hands together. "I toured Africa for a few weeks and learned some amazing things. We must go!" he was all but jumping for joy.

Grabbing her backpack, Quinn placed a chaste kiss on Logan's cheek. "I'll see you later, sweetie." She rushed off with Winston, talking enthusiastically about the latest research she had done and the results that have come from it. Winston joined in just as eagerly, giving his own input, making the two all but laugh and speak with pure glee.

Logan stood there, completely dumbfounded and a little annoyed. "Are you kidding me?" His girlfriend just left him to hang out with another guy, who claims he isn't in love with her, but he's not buying it. No guy acts the way Winston does if he's not into the girl. Roughly grabbing his backpack, he stomped off, ready to go after them and give the guy a piece of his mind, but stopped when he noticed a familiar-looking bushy hairstyle in the shrubbery. Walking towards the bush, he pulls apart the greenery and scowls as he recognizes more familiar hairstyles and faces. His anger slowly started to seep forward more as he began to breathe heavily in order to remain somewhat calm.

Now realizing they had been caught, the group of friends looked at each other in a panic before they each took off running in separate directions, leaving only Mr. Berringer behind. Said teacher stumbled out of the bushes, "Hello, Logan. Good to see you." He waved awkwardly as he tried to give a lighthearted laugh. Soon he, too, was taking off running.
