The Invasion
Back with the 4 pirates and the liar, they walked to the beach with Usopp entertaining them, mostly Luffy, with tales of his adventure. They finally reached the spot where they first heard the plot, and Robin asked, "Usopp, tell us exactly what you heard so we can make the perfect plan to counter this invasion, or else all of our efforts will be in vain."
Usopp looked at her with wide eyes as he asked, "Is that serious? I mean he can't be that strong."
Robin sighed. It was like she expected, although Usopp had his heart in the right place wanting to save his village; he was underestimating his opponent. She looked at him, "Usopp, it's captain Kuro of the 'Black Cats' pirate."
Zoro jumped on his feet and said, "The captain Kuro," Robin nodded so he added, "Isn't he dead or something?"
"No, the Hypno-guy said that he hypnotized a guy that looked, and he bit the dust instead," Luffy interjected causing Zoro to nod and sit down.
"Usopp, captain Kuro is one of the smartest people beside me and Nami," she said shocking the girl, "here in the east blue. He was known for having backup plans for his backup plans. If we as so much as flatter for a moment, we'll be as good as dead."
Usopp then began to sweat heavily as he squeaked out, "Ok." He then let out a breath he didn't know he was holding and said, "Well, the plan is for the pirates to attack the village while he waits for them in the mansion. The hypnotist will then go to the mansion, and hypnotize Kaya to write her wealth to that bastard. After that, the hypnotist will kill her, and retreat leaving him the only survivor of this massacre. That's all I heard."
Robin nodded as she sat down. She then began to imagine the best course of action to stop the invasion. She was brought out of her thoughts when Usopp exclaimed loudly saying, "No worries, I already have a plan to defeat him quickly." He said this as he posed in a weird position, but then added, "But for my plan to work I want to know what each of you can do specifically so I can assign to your part of the plan so it can go smoothly."
Each of the other four shrugged as Luffy began, "I stretch."
Zoro carried on, "I cut."
Nami then proceeded, "I steal."
Robin continued stating, "I break bones."
Usopp then finished saying, "I hide."
This caused Luffy, Nami, and Zoro to each grab him from his arm, and punt him on the head yelling at him with razor-sharp teeth, "You gonna help us or be forced to." All the while Robin looked at him with a disapproving look at how he is taking this lightly.
"Usopp, this is your village. You can't just hide while we fight your fight. A pirate captain never flatters unless you want to disgrace your father." Robin said knowing that she will press a few buttons, therefore, putting Usopp's head in the game, and throwing out his shenanigans.
The boy looked at her with shock as he balled his fist and said, "I will never disgrace my father. I told you I already have a plan, and I was joking about hiding. I'm the great captain Usopp, the conqueror of millions and I never hide." Robin sweat-dropped as she easily lost him again.
Luffy then came and said, "Alright, so what's your plan?"
Usopp then froze as he remembered something. His island was going to be invaded by pirates, and he's about to tell his plans to… pirates. This was crazy; he needed to ask this, "Before I answer your question, why are you helping me? for all I know, you might be tricking so you can Kaya's money for yourself."
Zoro was the first person to speak this time, "Listen here squirt, it's already clear enough that if we wanted to hurt you or your precious island, or that girlfriend of yours," this made the boy blush heavily, "we would've done so already, so get your head out of the gutters."
"Yeah, I mean those guys might be the weirdest pirates I ever met. I don't think they have any ulterior motives as if they want to help you." Nami stated shocking everyone around her.
"Usopp, this may seem weird to you that Luffy and us want to help you, but believe us that we have our best intentions in our hearts for you and your village. We mean no harm to you; in fact, we truly want to stop him, so trust us." Robin said with a small smile.
"Well, you're my friend. Do I need another reason to help you?" Luffy asked as he tilted his head.
Usopp's eyes began to tear as he said, "Thank you, guys." He then twirled on his feet as he said, "Great then let's begin with my plan then."
Everyone around him sweat-dropped at how he changed from crying to excited in a mere moment but came closer to listen to what he was saying, "well my plan is simple enough, and it can work very easily. I plan to first put tar on the trail of the south entrance to where we are standing, then put at the beginning of the trail metal stars and wait for them there." He finished as he crossed his arms over his chest which was swelling with pride from his plan.
Luffy then spoke first, "Well, honestly, this is of the" Usopp expected Luffy to start praising him, but what he said next caused his eyes to bulge out, "worst plans I ever heard." The sound of a pin drop could be heard from Luffy's statement.
Usopp looked at him with hurt in his eyes as he asked, "What's wrong with my plan. It's perfect."
Luffy sighed as he said, "Well, first we need to put the metal stars at the beginning of the entrance, then we hike to the top of the trail as we put oil on it. Then we wait from them at the end of the entrance, so any pirate that manages to pass them we knock them out."
Everyone, except Robin, then looked at Luffy with wide eyes from hearing the apparent dumb person correct the mistakes that were present in the liar's plan. Luffy, noticing the looks he was receiving, asked, "Did I ask something wrong?"
Zoro answered first, "No, but you shocked us a little. We never expected that from you of all people. You seem all…"
"All what, Zoro?" Robin asked with narrowed eyes.
Zoro then cleared his throat as he said, "Nothing. I was just making an observation. That's all." Robin on the side was giggling at how Zoro seemed terrified of her.
Robin then clapped her hands together as she exclaimed happily, "Well now that's all settled, we need to begin the preparations to stop the invasion. The sun will be up in a couple of hours and we won't be able to face them if we are late." Everyone then nodded, and the boys then stood and began working.
Nami watched the boys work with vigor as they began to spread the meatal stars at the beginning of the entrance to the island, but her mind was in another place. A thousand questions were attacking her head; she couldn't just get it why were they helping him. Sure, she said that they were the weirdest pirates she has ever known, but still they were pirates. Pirates were evil scum who took whatever they wanted and only left people in pain and agony. They use others and don't care about them. It just was their nature.
Robin then came up to her. the raven head noticed that the girl was deep in thought, so she asked her, "What's on your mind, Nami? Maybe, I can help you." Nami looked at her with a little fear which Robin noticed.
"Now, now, don't be afraid of me," Robin said though she knew that she gave the girl a couple of scares when it came to Luffy. She mentally laughed at how scary she can be if she wanted to.
"I just don't know what is true anymore." The orange head looked at the ground as she began to speak, "My entire life I was taught that pirates are the scum of the earth, but once I met you everything came crashing down. It felt as if my reality was turned upside down. I just don't understand why are so…"
"Nice, kind, good, not evil." The orange-haired girl nodded at Robin's words. Robin understood where the girl was coming from. She could tell that the girl had a very bad experience with pirates; perhaps a loved one died at the hands of one. She grabbed Nami's hands and smiled as she began to explain, "You know when I was little I used to think the same thing that pirates are evil people who are all murders wanting to do all types of nasty stuff, but one day came to a small boy to my island and changed everything overnight. He helped me protect those dearest to me when no one could, and he was planning to become a pirate, so that's how I know that not all pirates are evil and I shouldn't judge people before I get to know them."
Nami looked at her, and said, "Is that knucklehead the boy that changed your view on everything?"
The girl suddenly flinched imagining Robin to be angry, but the girl chuckled at her as she said, "Well, you can say that."
Nami then crossed her arms over her chest saying, "You have to tell me how you met someday. I bet it's an interesting story."
Robin smiled as she said, "How about when we finish this small adventure of ours you'll be the first person I'm going to tell." The girl then raised her fist and said, "Girl Power"
Nami chuckled as she fist-bumped her saying, "Girl power"
Zoro then came near them and said, "Glad, you two are getting along; just a couple of hours ago Robin seemed she was about to kill you." Robin then sprout a row of arms and elbowed him in the gut causing him to double over.
Luffy and Usopp then came and stood with them. Usopp then said, "We finished up setting the traps. We are ready to face the pirates; we've going to beat them and send them home packing."
The 5 then sat for an hour waiting for the sun to rise, but during the wait, Luffy noticed something that was wrong, and said, "Guys, where are our ships?"
Nami looked at him, and said, "Now that you mentioned I don't see them anywhere."
Usopp then smacked his fist in his palm, and exclaimed loudly, "Oh, I remembered that there was another entrance to the island. it's in the north of the island, and that's where your boats might be present." He then noticed the looks he was receiving and scratched the back of his head as he said, "Sorry guys, I kinda ruined it. Hehe, my bad."
Nami then punched him over the head, and said, "How the heck can you forget that there is another entrance to the island?" The boy was slammed headfirst into the ground as he held his head in pain, as he groaned, "I said I was sorry."
"Ok, now that we know about the other island. we have to go there and set the same traps that we put here. First, do we have enough amount of metal stars and oil?" Nami said as she messaged her forehead from the liar's stupidity.
Usopp then said, "Yeah I think I still have enough objects to use, but who we go there? I mean we can't just leave it unattended."
Robin then said, "Let's make a draw, and the ones who have the smallest straws will go there."
"But wait, there's five of us here. How are we going to divide ourselves?" Zoro asked the most important question. They can't just send one home, and they can't put one on the other side alone.
That was when Usopp smiled and said, "Well, it depends on where the meeting occurred between Kuro and that Jango guy." The other looked at him so he began explaining his point, "What I mean is that damn butler met his subordinate here, and so by logic since this is their meeting place, I presume that the attack will be launched from here so we must put 3 people here since it will have the highest probability to be attacked. And the other two will go to the other one since it has the least chance of being invaded." He crossed his arms over his chest and said, "So what do you think guys?"
He waited for an answer only from the other 3 to turn to Luffy, and say, "What do you think, Captain?" Zoro asked causing the sniper to face-plant on the ground. He then jumped and said, "Hey, what's that about? My idea is good."
Nami looked at him and said, "You're the guy who forgot that his village has a different entrance. You're lucky we're still allowing you on this mission." This caused Usopp to deflate quickly.
Luffy then scratched his chin as he said, "What he is saying is logical enough, but that doesn't mean that the beach won't be attacked so the two sent there will have to carry their own till we arrive there." The 4 nodded, so Luffy then stretched his arms and grabbed 5 tree branches, and said, "The two who have the shortest ones will have to go to the other side of the island."
The others nodded, as each began to pick their straws. In the end, the lucky two were Zoro and a saddened Nami who was saying, "but I was hoping to stay away from the action. Now I'm in the middle of the cannon's way."
Robin then walked up to her, and said, "You'll be able to take their treasure if you had an early lead."
The girl's eyes turned into money signs as she grabbed Zoro's arm with one hand, and the supplies for the traps with the other, as she looked at Zoro saying, "Zoro, let's go. the money is calling for me." she then ran quickly as Zoro helplessly was being smacked into his surroundings.
Robin simply waved her hand goodbye to them, so she prepared to have a fun night with Luffy, and cuddle with him…
At least that was what she expected; what she didn't count on was the long-nosed boy capturing her boyfriend and telling him stories about his adventures keeping him away from her. Although on the outside she seemed calm, on the inside she was crouched in a corner drawing circles on the ground as she was saying, "I didn't think this was how my night with Luffy going to be."
She sighed as she sat beside them mentally saying that if you can't defeat them, join them.
On the other side of the beach, Nami finally reached and said, "There we're here. Come on Zoro, let's put the traps." When she didn't have an answer, she looked in the direction of the swordsman only to see him with multiple scraps, bruises and covered in all types of fauna. The girl chuckled a little as she said, "Whoops, my bad. I think I went a lit bit overboard there."
The swordsman then got up with a face that can scare the devil himself, and said, "You really think so. I almost die multiple times, you damn greedy…"
He didn't get the luxury of finishing that sentence as Nami pounded him, full force on the head causing him to blackout for a moment. The girl then lifted her fist with a very dark aurora surrounding her saying, "What did you say, you wannabe pirate?"
The man gulped as he said, "Nothing. I said nothing." He then looked at the path and said, "Now, give me all the traps so I can begin setting them. I highly doubt you're going to help so might as well begin with it."
The girl smiled as she said, "Now, you're beginning to get me. so chop-chop get to work." The man grumbled under his breath as he began to set the traps while Nami sat and began to watch the ocean, and thought about something. She looked at Zoro who came up to her, and she asked him a question, "Zoro, I'm wondering why did you join Luffy in the first place? I mean why would a pirate hunter join the one thing he despises."
The man looked at her, and shrugged saying, "Well, I had to honor my deal with him."
The girl raised an eyebrow, and said, "Really now, to honor a deal; I find it hard to believe. There must have been something else."
The wayward swordsman then scratched his head, and said, "Well, I guess you can say he was my best option at the time given the circumstances." He then took a more serious look as he said, "And our dreams align with each other, so I thought there's no harm in tagging along on his journey."
"What do you mean that your goals align with each other?" Nami asked with curiosity.
"You see I always wanted to be the world's greatest swordsman, but when I was to that cross back a Shell island I only knew the east blue. But suddenly a crazy-looking kid with his girlfriend popped into view asking me if I wanted to join their crew I laughed, and told them I'm going to be the greatest swordsman alive, so he laughed and said that the pirate king can't have any less. When he managed to free me I thought what the heck might as well go with him, and try to reach our goals together." Zoro explained.
"That's really something, Zoro." Nami said, but then she asked him, "Yeah, I saw you coming to tell something; what was it?"
The swordsman then scratched his head as he said as he turned back to where he came from, "Yeah, we ran out of supplies. The oil didn't cover the entire track, and the metal stars were only a handful; I highly doubt that if the pirates came from here, the traps will do much." He suddenly felt a very cool chill travel down his spine as he turned his back to see a very angry Nami who yelled, "Why didn't you say anything; there's barely any time to go back there and get more materials for the traps."
"Well, you're the one who started asking me questions when I came up to tell you," Zoro answered with a tick on his forehead.
"wonderful just wonderful. Now, what are we going to do without enough traps to slow them down." Nami asked herself, but Zoro answered, "Well, you heard the man we're going to have to pull our weight anyways, so might as well be ready for them."
The girl then slumped on the ground with a dark cloud over her head, as she said in a sad voice, "This isn't what I signed up for."
Zoro rolled his eyes at her dramatics, and said in annoyance, "Pull yourself together women. You fought pirates before so you can do it now, and besides, if push comes to shove, I'll help you out."
The girl looked with hope in her eyes as she tackled the man in a hug saying, "Thanks Zoro, you're a lifesaver."
Off the shore of the island, a ship with a wooden black cat head on its front was gently bobbing against the water. The ship had tens of men on it as they fought between each other. They had on the top of their ship a jolly roger that consisted of a black cat head with crossbones behind it.
Jango then walked onto the deck of the ship, and said, "Men, tomorrow we are going to start the invasion as we discussed earlier. We have only a few minutes to walk it to the village and then start the raid. No one is allowed to be alive, no man, no child, no woman, no nothing. Kill everything and everyone you come across while I go and help the captain in the final phase of the plane. Are there any questions?" Seeing that no one asking him anything presumably due to the men's stupidity he said, "Men, set forward and begin sailing to the island to begin the captain's plans."
The men replied by saying, "YEAH"
Back at Kaya's mansion, Kuro sat in front of the entrance of the house. He then took a watch from his pocket and said, "Only one hour left, and I finally get this brat's fortune and earn the peace I always wanted, and nothing is going to stop me."
Back with the couple and Usopp, Robin sighed a hundred times as she heard Usopp tell Luffy another story, and smacked her forehead. She knew she couldn't blame her boyfriend's naïve nature especially when it comes to friends, but that doesn't mean he has to believe everything that Usopp says to him. She looked at Usopp who was now talking about how he fought a thousand dragons. But suddenly a voice caught her ears, so she said, "Hush, be quiet, Usopp."
"What, why?" the boy asked.
She then blossomed an ear on a nearby tree, and her eyes widened, so she grabbed both boys as she said, "Come, we need to go there quickly. They came from the other side." She then ran with both boys trying to pick up on her pace.
On the other side of the island, the pirates began to depart from the ship, and one of them saw something in the distance. He then looked at Jango, and said, "Cap, there's something in our way. It looks like oil on the way up to the village."
Jango, who was told by Kuro to be there on time or else there will be consequences, screamed, "Do I look like I care? We need to finish the captain's plan on time, or else we'll be the ones to bit the dust so start moving."
The men then nodded and walked to the beginning of the entrance, but all of them then suddenly felt a sharp pain in their feet, "What the heck?"
"There's something in my feet."
"The sand is filled to the brim with traps."
As his men began to whine, Jango slapped his forehead, and said, "Enough whining. Just walk through the pain, or else we won't live to see another day."
The men then braced themselves and began to run up the entrance, but with the meatal stars add to that the oil; they were constantly falling back down the slope. Nami sat at the top with Zoro as they watched them struggle, "Well, that's entertaining." She said with a giggle.
"I have to admit it's kinda funny watching them slip and slide every couple of seconds. And honestly kinda sad." Zoro added.
Finally, after a couple of minutes, a couple of the men managed to make up the hill, so Zoro pulled out his swords, and readied himself for the fight with Nami bringing up her staff as she said, "I'll leave the heavy lifting for you. I deal with any stowaways, deal?"
The man scoffed as he said, "You're too generous sometimes. Are sure you're not a saint?"
Zoro then quickly dashed down the lane as he cut through one of the men causing him to fall with a thud. Someone tried to sneak up on the swordsman trying to cut him with his sword only for Zoro to intercept and push him away before cutting him. Another one then tried to attack Zoro; said man fell to the ground moments later as Zoro sidestepped him and hit him with the handle of his sword knocking him out.
Meanwhile, Nami was watching Zoro with awe, as he mowed through Kuro's men much to Jango's dismay. She then noticed someone managed to pass Zoro. She walked to him, and he met her with a goofy grin, so she smiled and smacked him over the head before kicking down the lane, and saying, "Don't ever underestimate your enemies or you'll die."
She looked down at Zoro who crossed his three 3 blades before yelling, "ONI GIRI" He then speed beside 3 men. The 3 in question stood there confused for a moment before huge wounds gushing blood appeared on them. The 3 then fell forward to the ground withering in agony from the pain.
To say Nami wasn't impressed would be an understatement; Zoro really lived up to his reputation. He was fast, and powerful when it came to fighting his opponents. The swordsman then asked, "If that's all you have, then I suggest you all retreat because it won't end well for you." He finished as he slashed a pirate trying to sneak on him.
Nami meanwhile was noticing that more pirates were beginning to slip through; she couldn't fault Zoro as he was trying his hardest to prevent them from passing him. She looked as she saw a portly-looking pirate who came up the track before she smacked him with her staff, and punched him causing him to fall back. Another tried to attack her only for her to barely dodge before kicking him in the stomach and then smacking him in the side of the head. That was followed by her picking up some sand, and throwing it in some men's eyes causing them to lose their vision for a moment before they were kicked by her which caused them to fall on each other.
What she didn't notice was that someone managed to sneak up on her as he raised his sword saying, "Game over, girly."
The girl's eyes widened, and she closed them before hearing a thud. She looked at the man only to see him down and Zoro was standing in his place. The swordsman then said, "Don't lose focus, we must protect the line till the others get here."
The girl nodded as she stood back up, and watched the man join the fray again. She then picked up a small rock and threw it at someone sneaking up the track causing him to fall back down. But three men managed to bypass Zoro who was otherwise occupied by someone else. They walked up to Nami who tried to defend herself. She managed to beat the first one and the second, but ultimately the last managed to throw her staff away. The girl began to panic as the pirate approached her saying, "No need for fear, let's have some fun now."
The girl closed her eyes for the worst, but she suddenly heard a yell, "Gum-Gum Pistol."
She then saw the rubber captain punch the man in the face sending him flying to Jango. She looked at Luffy who offered his hand, and said, "Nami, are you alright?"
The girl looked at him, and said, "Yeah, I am," That was before she yelled, "But what took you so long I almost died here." The boy frowned as he punched a guy sneaking upon them.
He then said, "We got lost." He then quickly ran to help Zoro. He punched a guy behind his first mate who grumbled, "What was that for? I almost had him"
Luffy then said, "we're a crew. We fight together." He then went down as he yelled stretching both his arms backward, "Gum-Gum Bazooka" the attack collided with three men who were sent flying back. Another one ran at Luffy lifting his sword while saying, "I got you now." The rubber man simply sidestepped him before giving him a good kick in the face making him blackout. He looked to his left and saw someone holding a gun; he fired the bullets only for them to hit Luffy's skin and said skin to begin to stretch to send back the bullet at him. The man didn't get much time to panic as a fist followed the bullet sending him into blissful unconsciousness.
Back with Nami, she felt some movement in the bushes so she readies herself, and lifted her staff only for Robin and Usopp to appear. She sighed as she looked at them, and spoke, "What took you so long?"
Usopp then raised his hand as he said, "Sorry, my bad. I got lost on the way here. Did Luffy arrive by any chance?"
The girl pointed her finger backward, and said, "Check out for yourself. I think he's having the life of his time facing off those pirates." Both Robin and Usopp looked and saw Luffy smiling while fighting Kuro's men who were falling like flies in front of him and Zoro.
Robin then said, "Well then let's just make sure no passes from here." She then crossed her arms, and said, "Dous Fleur" What followed that was a sickening crunch from a man who was walking up the track and fell with a thud groaning from the pain he was enduring. Both Usopp and Nami looked at her with wide eyes as she asked innocently, "What?"
"You just broke a guy's back, and you're asking what," Nami said in complete shock.
"Well, it was either that, or he was going to attack us so you're welcome," Robin said causally.
Robin then looked back at the track, and said, "Cien Fleur: Delphinium" Then a hundred arms appeared on the track as they grabbed a couple of men, and set them back to the beach they came from. She then looked back at Nami, and said, "Is this more to your liking?" the girl could only nod dumbly as she watched the girl work.
Robin then sprouted an eye on the side of the track, as she watched everything, she then noticed that someone was sneaking up on her boyfriend so she said, "Seis Fleur: Twist." The man's body was then twisted around till he fell to the ground as he cried out in pain. Luffy pouted as he said, "Hey, that was mine."
Zoro who was on his side laughed as he slashed through a guy who tried to cut him saying, "I thought we're a crew."
"Not funny Zoro," Luffy responded before sending his arms to either side of the lane. Zoro seeing this ran away knowing that nothing good could come out of this, and Zoro's concern was in the right place as Luffy yelled, "Gum-Gum Rocket" The boy then went flying and slammed headfirst into some men of Kuro who were sent flying back.
Usopp then said, "I won't stand by and let my island be invaded. I will also join the fight." The cowardly sniper then pulled out his slingshot and began to shock Kuro's men. He first aimed one at a pirate's forehead causing the man to fall backward. Then he shot someone in his feet. The pirates began to become annoyed at the shoots as they yelled to get him while Usopp laughed at them. Unknown to him, someone sneaked up on him hitting him with a hammer to the head, and yelled, "Enough you, twerp." He was saved by 3 phantom hands twisting the man's spine.
Usopp with blood running down his face said, "I'm captain Usopp, and I won't allow you to lay a finger on my village." He then looked at Robin and said, "Thanks for stopping him before he can off me." the girl simply waved her hand.
Back with Jango, he was trembling with fear as he thought about what was going to happen to him, if the captain arrived, and saw that the men hadn't moved from their spot. He then yelled at the men, "What's the hell is wrong with you; they're only a couple of children. End them already; we mustn't ruin the captain's plan."
Kuro's men though in extreme pain then lifted themselves and charged at the group of 5 yelling as they swung their swords and lifted their fists at them. Luffy and Zoro smiled at them ready for round 2.
Back with Kuro, the man sat at the front of the mansion with a scowl. He was angry that the crew hadn't reached the village yet. He sighed as he looked at his watch, and put it back in his pocket. He grumbled, "What's taking them so much time?"
He was sure that he emphasized to Jango that his plan must occur early thing in the morning so the plan can be pulled off without a hitch. Attacking the village early will assure that the villagers won't be able to fight back. He is also sure as heck that Jango won't betray him.
Deciding that he had waited enough, he stood up and began to walk down to the beach to see what was taking them so long. He mentally hopes that his crew has a very good reason for the delay or it won't end well for them.
Unbeknownst to Kuro, someone was also up early, Onion from behind a tree looked at Kuro with one question going through his mind, "What is he doing so early?" The boy then remembered what his captain said yesterday, and swallowed a heavy lump that formed in his throat. He quickly ran to wake up his friends.
Back with Kaya, the rich girl woke up with a smile. The smile quickly disappeared as she remembered yesterday's events. She then hugged her feet as she sighed. She truly understood that Usopp and Klahadore didn't like each other that much, but that didn't mean that Usopp had to lie about such a horrible lie. But she couldn't get out the image of his face from her head, it was that of sheer betrayal after she slapped him in the face. The girl quickly shook her head as she said, "Calm down Kaya, that's was Usopp's fault for making such a horrible lie about Klahadore…" she then looked down as she also said, "But maybe I was too harsh on him."
She then felt that something was off. Unlike all her mornings, no one has greeted her yet. Usually, it was either Merry or one of the other butlers, or Klahadore that came up and brought her breakfast. It was truly odd; were they all still asleep. She shook her head as she knew that her servants woke up very early in the morning to help her.
She then got up from her bed and went to the door in small steps as her body was still too weak from her sickness. She opened the door and began to walk around the house but nothing could prepare her for what she saw next.
Around the entire house, her family was all cut down. She looked at every one of them and they were as good as gone. Tears filled her eyes as she began running around the house like a headless chicken. She checked the maids' room; they were all dead. The kitchen same thing. The front gate same thing. Everywhere she went everyone was dead.
The girl sat with tears in her eyes, but she then heard a soft groan from the living room. She quickly went into it and saw Merry covered in his blood with a gun in his hand. The girl quickly began to treat Merry's wounds as she asked him, "Merry, what happened here? Why did all this?"
Merry looked at her with sad eyes, and said with pain accompanying every word he said, "He… was... right…"
The girl was confused; who was right, and who was Merry talking about. She looked at him and said, "Merry, what are talking about, and who is right? I don't understand you."
The man then said, "Usopp… was telling… the truth… after all..." he then spit some blood as he continued, "We… should've listened… to his warnings… about today…"
Kaya's blood ran cold as she remembered Usopp's warning from yesterday. She didn't want to believe it; no Klahadore wasn't going to hurt her. He was her friend; he was her companion. He wasn't some ruthless pirate going after her wealth, so she said, "What are you saying, Merry? Klahadore isn't like that. He's family…" She was cut off by Merry saying, "Miss Kaya, it was all… an act…to gain our trust… he never cared about us… his only goal was to take your wealth. He was the one responsible for this massacre." Merry then straightened up as he looked at Kaya, and said, "Kaya, here" He then gave her his pistol before continuing, "Kaya, you must go to him. The entire village is in danger due to him, and the only person who can stop him is you. He wants your wealth, so perhaps if you gave it to him, he will stop and leave us alone."
The girl looked at the pistol before she stood up and walked outside the mansion. She then looked at the beach. And she began to walk to it. She wanted to see it for herself. She wanted to know why he did what he did. After all this time they spent together only for him to betray her; it was heartbreaking and painful. She wanted answers.
Back at the beach, Jango was going back and forth as he looked in fear at the sight that was in front of him. The entire crew was downed by 5 teenagers who he was sure couldn't hold up a candle to him. He looked at his men, and yelled, "You, morons, they're just kids. Get up, and beat him already. We must carry on captain's plans, or we're the ones who are going to die today."
"We can't; they're too strong."
"One of them is the pirate hunter Zoro."
"It's impossible."
Zoro watched from the top as the men cried in pain, so he said, "Man, they're weak. I kinda expected more from the crew of the smartest person in the east blue." He then looked at Robin, and asked her, "Are you sure this is his crew." The girl nodded her head.
Usopp then said, "I think it's that you're monsters the problem here. I mean I knew you were strong, but this is just ridiculous." Luffy, Zoro, and Robin then began to laugh.
Jango down there frowned as he said as he pulled out his pendulum, "Alright knuckleheads, it's time to give you a power boost. So when I say 'one, two, Jango', you'll all become very powerful."
The pirates looked at the pendulum as he swung it, he then began to say
"One"
"Two"
"Jan… AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" the sickening sound of bones being twisted and crunched came from Jango's body as twelve phantom arms broke his body like it was a twig.
One of the men looked at Robin who said, "I'm sorry, but today the power boost isn't happening." He then gulped and said, "You are monsters."
The girl simply giggled, and said, "Now, now, you're the ones attacking a peaceful village. How about you live, and we promise to keep the pain to a minimum?" The pirates shivered under her gaze. But then Jango stood up leaning to a wall, and said, "you forced my hands, kids. I didn't want to do this, but you left me no choice." Robin tilted her head in confusion.
Jango then looked at the ship as he yelled, "Nyaban brothers come forth."
Suddenly two shadows jumped from the ship, and landed in front of the 5; one of them was a chubby pirate who wore red pants and had a cape on his back with cat ears on his head. The other was a slim-looking figure with blue pants, a green shirt, and green hair. He also had cat ears on his head. They looked at Jango, and one of them asked, "Did you call us captain?"
Jango, who was still trying to stand without support said, "Yes these 5 are interfering with the captain's plans. I want you to kill them."
One of the brothers looked at them and whimpered saying, "But they all look so strong. I don't think we can defeat them."
The chubby one then said, "I agree with him. One of them is pirate hunter Zoro. We can't we against him. We'll be dead for sure."
Jango then roared, "Do I look like I care? Go, defeat them, or else the captain will kill all of us without mercy." The two brothers then gulped as they began to approach the 5. Usopp sweat-dropped as he said, "Are they seriously their secret weapon?"
Robin who was watching the entire thing then said, "Don't be fooled by their act."
Zoro then said, "I will fight them." He then unsheathed one of his swords, and went down to meet the green-haired pirate who said, "You're Zoro the pirate hunter."
"Yeah, so what about it."
"Nothing, just that I will," the man then quickly jumped using claws in a glove he was wearing and tried to strike Zoro, but the swordsman blocked him, as the man continued, "kill you."
Zoro then felt that something was off about this attack till a slapping noise drew his attention to his swords. He looked to see the green-haired pirate back away with a scowl on his face as he said, "Damn it, I didn't get them."
Zoro scowled as he said, "You were going to take my swords, weren't you bastard?"
The pirate was about to speak when 3 disembodied arms grew on his body and clutched him causing him to fall.
Zoro looked at Robin who said, "Sorry to take your opponent, but let's wrap this up."
The chubby pirate then yelled, "You'll pay for this." He then ran to get Robin but was intercepted by Zoro. Zoro then put his hand swords over his mouth blade and swung forward descending with a slash. What the pirate saw then was a shadow of a tiger as the swordsman yelled, "Tora Gari."
The chubby pirate then fell with blood gushing from his chest. Zoro then lowered his blades as he said, "Well, that's over."
Jango began then began to truly panic as they were late, and the captain will definitely kill them. His worst fears were then confirmed when a voice echoed through the place, "What is happening here?"
Everyone looked to see Kuro there adjusting his glasses with his hand. The pirate captain then asked, "Why are you late?"
Jango forgot all the pain and stood up saying, "Captain, we were coming but we were interrupted by these children. Don't worry, we were just about to finish them off, and start your plan."
Kuro scoffed, "Finish them? It looks like they're about to finish you off." He then sighed and said, "Listen, I'll give 5 minutes to finish them, or I'll kill you all personally with my hands."
The men jumped and began to move through the pain. The 5 stood readying themselves from another round, but they all halted when another voice arrived.
"STOP"
