Vala jumped and turned, searching for the knife she usually kept in her waist band. Then she remembered they'd just come from the hospital and it was still in the car.
"I am impervious to your weapons Vala."
"Who the fuck are you and how do you know my fucking name?"
Vala was scared. This man, who appeared out of thin air in the drivers' seat of a car two stories high without so much as a peep, seemed cold and distant. He spoke in even, emotionless tones. His eyes matched his voice, though they were bright and sparkled like diamonds. If she wasn't so busy being afraid of him she's of felt his overwhelming presence. But all she felt was fear for this stranger.
"Time is of the essence Vala. You must make you way back to your sister and the Winchester boys. They will explain."
And with that, he vanished, just as he came. Silently and abruptly.
Frightened beyond all comprehension, Vala stayed frozen against the door of the forty year old vehicle.
"What the hell just happened?"
After a few moments, and the thought of the Mysterious Vanishing Man returning, Vala was able to climb down from the four car pile- up and race through the wreckage that was the salvage yard back to Bobby's modest home.
She burst through the door, out of breath and almost trembling, ready to tell the occupants the story of the Mysterious Vanishing Man, but found him in the living room with Sam and Aislin.
"What the FUCK." Vala shouted, falling back a little.
"Relax," Dean's voice called from behind her. "It's just Cas."
"What the fuck is a 'just Cas'?"
"Does she always use such words?" Cas asked.
"Yeah." Was Aislin's answer.
Dean entered the room from the kitchen, breezing past Vala in the process. She jumped at his closeness, causing him to stop just ahead of her. Dean gave her a look of concern and confusion. Vala was still scared. He kept his position, off to the side but still between her and Cas. He must have done something to frighten her.
"My name is Castiel. I am an Angel of The Lord. I have information."
"I'll explain later." Dean cut Vala's train of thought off, leaving time for Castiel to continue.
"Bobby's been taken prisoner by Alastair's minions."
"When?" Sam asked anxiously.
"Several hours ago."
"And you're only coming to us now!" Aislin freaked.
Sam stood closer to Aislin, resting his burly hands on her shoulders, rubbing her arms.
Castiel ignored her and turned to Dean.
"He's being kept at a warehouse in Beaver Creek. The building's been coated in sigils and spells. I can't get in."
"So we have to go."
"Actually, you and Vala have to go."
"What?" all four of them raised their voices together.
"Sam won't be able to pass the demon seals. Vala's special ability will be of the utmost importance in this case and Dean is the bait."
Vala's eyes went wide and Aislin turned to look at her. Sam questioned Castiel's words and Dean looked to the Angel.
"What do you mean Vala's special ability ?"
Castiel looked to the girl in question, who was hiding her face behind a hand.
"I know that expression." Cas spoke in his monotonous tone. "It means I said something I shouldn't have."
Dean turned to Vala.
"Cat's out of the proverbial bag."
"Do you have visions?"
Vala was startled by Sam's question and Aislin turned to him and whispered a 'No', shaking her head slightly. Sam didn't realize in jumping the gun he'd made a bad situation worse.
Tears came to Vala quick, but she restrained them.
"I can sense things. Spirits, energy, mainly emotions."
One tear struggled to escape. As it did Vala gained control, reeling her emotions back.
"Her fiancée had visions." Castiel added, knowing the boys were wondering.
Vala didn't want to be in the room anymore, surrounded by the strangers who knew her secret. The secret she'd kept from everyone she met. She also didn't want to waste any more time.
"I'll be in the car when you're ready." She said to Dean, turning on her heel to leave the room.
"Nice Cas." Dean hollered back, racing out the door after Vala, leaving Sam and Aislin alone with the Angel of Thursday.
