Defense Against The Dark Arts Class

Lisa checked her wristwatch, "Look at the time! It's almost time for dinner!" she exclaimed.

"We had better be getting back to the castle, I don't think I want Professor Moody taking points away!" KC observed.

Once in the great hall at the Hufflepuff table, Ernest Macmillan was flirting with Kristi while KC was chatting with Michael.

"We need to talk about last Friday's Defense Against the Dark Arts class," KC said. "something was way off with Professor Moody!"

"Yeah," Michael said. "I noticed that too, he was acting way weirder than usual, and for him, that's saying something!"

"I know, Professor Moody is always a little strange but today he made my skin crawl! We need to talk to Lisa and the others if we can, something is going on here, I can feel it." KC said, grabbing a couple of drumsticks and putting them on her plate.

Michael snagged a couple drumsticks for himself before continuing, "Is there a way to send Lisa a secret message?" he asked.

"Yeah," KC replied. "I'll send Lisa a message right after dinner!"

After dinner that night, Michael was in the Hufflepuff common room waiting for KC to get back from her room, she had gone to get what she needed to send the secret message to Lisa.

Suddenly, his bionic eye changed wavelengths and Michael was seeing a build up of energy in a spot in the wall near the ceiling on the other side of the room from him.

Behind this energy, Michael saw the outline of a figure about to launch a flower pot in his direction.

"Don't even think about it Peeves!" Michael barked warningly.

Peeves gave a howl of frustration and the energy signature disappeared.

"What was that all about?" KC asked, coming into the room.

"Peeves again," Michael smirked. "my bionic eye can detect magical energy signatures automatically. including the ones generated by that crazy poltergiest, and it drives him even crazier than he already is, that he can't sneak up on me!"

"I'll bet it does!" KC snickered.

Just then they heard the entrance open, Kristi came rushing in.

"You're not going to believe what happened to me!" Kristi said.

"What?" Michael asked.

"Ernie MacMillan was flirting with me at dinner tonight!" Kristi replied, plopping down on the sofa.

"What," KC cried. "doesn't he know that you already have a boyfriend?"

"I'm not sure he cares." Kristi replied, frustration in her voice.

Michael turned to KC, "If I remember correctly Ernie is a friend of Harry's." he said.

KC nodded catching on, "Okay when I send Lisa the message I'll tell her what happened and ask her to have Harry set Ernie straight!" she said.

"Good," said Kristi. "thanks guys."

"No problem." Michael said kindly.

That night right after light's out, KC was in her bedroom writing the message to Lisa.
