Chapter 2

He woke by the next morning.

Peering outside, the seasons had changed to winter. Much to Kiyoshi's surprise, it still snows in the domain, and yet, Uncle Sanso's crops remain unaffected by the change of weather. Making his way down to the kitchen, he found his father at the stove cooking away using all four of his arms to do so.

He hasn't done that often, in fact. Kiyoshi notices his dad doesn't like to stand out all the much. Despite having extra eyes and arms, he rarely uses them. The extra eyes though… they come out when he is lecturing him or someone else. If Kiyoshi is ever asked to look into his eyes and tell him the truth… well… four eyes are far more intimidating than two!

He took his seat at the table. It was fluffy pancakes today!

"So how much longer until your nieces and or nephews are born?" mom asked aloud.

Dad laughed. "Hard to say, according to the old goat who did a check up recently, the sisters are in their final trimester. Much to the brothers' relief. But at the same time, they feel this all happened rather quickly."

It was true.

Shortly after the dragons tried to interfere, they were challenged by his uncles and defeated with the help of Auntie Yua and Chusi. Even Sukuna assisted somehow!

With the threat gone, the sisters began to come out a little more from their second home away from home. They go on short walks with the uncles, very rarely do they leave the domain unless they have a craving for something that uncle Eso cannot replicate.

But he's happy to know his uncles and aunts are doing well.

"Say, dad… do you think I can help you fight curses?" Kiyoshi asked out of the blue.

Well, he's been wanting to do this for a while, however, he hasn't had the chance or opportunity, in fact, he hasn't even seen a curse!

His father paused and peered over to him. "Have you seen them?" he asked bluntly.

Kiyoshi shook his head no.

"You have to see them first before you can hunt them, if you can't, then I don't think it's a good idea to do so."

"But… I have a dragon in me!" he protested.

"But does the dragon see curses? Raynn may simply ignore them, if he does then you don't see them."

He paused, but sighed in defeat. "I want to help…" he muttered bitterly.

The table was oddly silent; his father gave out a sigh himself and said. "Okay, after breakfast, let's go into town and see if we could hunt a curse or two…"

"Really?!"

"Yuuji, is this a good idea?" his mother asked.

His father was uncertain, however he nodded. "He will learn about this better than me, I was thrown into it and hoped for the best. I can at least help him see if he can spot the curses himself, if he can, then we can train, if not. Then he won't hunt curses."

The pressure was on.

Kiyoshi was determined to see them, after all, curse hunting sounds like fun!

But it shouldn't be right?

Then again, he's seen the Fushiguros return from a hunt, they were smiling and happy with how it went. Despite they were covered in curse blood… or regular blood…

However, he has an opportunity!

He won't waste it.

Scarfing his breakfast, Kiyoshi ate quickly before he excused himself to change.

Yuuji watched his son rush up the stairs. He was excited for this chance, but at the same time…

"Papa sad?"

He smiled to Ai, his young daughter is the spitting image of her mother. "Ah, not really, I just realized how fast Kiyoshi grew up… same with you two… granted, that wasn't our choice either…"

He is still bitter at Sukuna for what he did, despite claiming it was for Yua's benefit. Yua however was able to turn such a situation around since those who were aged, grew a little faster which meant, they could accept more students.

Everyone here was learning at their own pace, no one is thrown into a life or death situation like what they did at the school… With the exception of Toji and Maki's students, however, either one or the other would be present with the students as they take down a curse. There have been injuries, wounds, but no deaths thanks to Yua's method.

Yuuji had begun to really wish the Toorus were more abundant than just Yua and her family… had they been in charge… things would be quite different.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Yuko asked as she cleaned up the twins. "I don't think he should be doing this…"

"I'm against it too, I don't want Kiyoshi to be doing this either. Yet, if I keep refusing him, he will look elsewhere to get what he wants… I want him to trust me more and know I am here for him…"

Yuko merely nodded. "You have been more focused with others than your children. I do admit, you stepped up when the twins came but Kiyoshi…"

"I know, I know… that's why I am going to take him curse hunting. Then I can see what he is capable of and go from there, I am getting second opinions on the matter too. It took Nanami to tell me when I was accepted as a jujutsu sorcerer… And he didn't acknowledge me right away either."

Yuko nodded as Kiyoshi came down the stairs once more. He was dressed and ready to go.

Yuuji cleaned up the breakfast dishes before nodding to his son. They will go to Tokyo. Yua has heard about a curse within the area near by a hospital that should be dealt with. Yuuji was to take care of it today, so now, it will be a testing site.

'I wonder what he is capable of doing…' Yuuji thought.
