Chapter 13
AN: Its taken me so long to update this chapter because I wasn't happy with it. One of my favorite things about this story is the flashbacks. And I couldn't come up with anything. I honestly haven't opened word in probably a month. We're all home with Covid at the moment but thankfully we all have very mild cases. Also I'm looking for a beta if anyone is interested.
Sookie woke up still in Eric's arms the next day. She kissed his chest where she was laying her head and wiggled out of his arms. He opened his eyes briefly. "Go back to sleep. I've got to use the bathroom and I'm starving." Sookie whispered kissing him on the lips. He closed his eyes once he was satisfied everything was alright and went back into his daytime rest. Sookie stood up and looked around the room. Eric had really outdone himself. She smiled at all of the effort and thought that he put into making sure she'd be comfortable down here too. There was even a bathroom and a shower. She noticed a mini fridge on her way and opened it. It was stocked with water and anything else you could possibly imagine to make a sandwich or a salad. She made herself a sandwich. After she ate it she took a shower. After she got out she realized she didn't have any clothes down here but she found Eric's. She pulled on one of his black wife beaters and a pair of his boxers. She inhaled and sighed. They smelled like him. It was still only 2:00. It would still be hours before Eric woke up. She decided to go snuggle next to him and look at one of the books he had on the bedside table. The first book she picked up was in a language she wasn't familiar with. She sat it aside and picked up another. It was old and handwritten also in another language. She sat them back down and sighed. She snuggled against Eric and laid back down on his chest. She couldn't help it as happy as she was the weight of everything that had happened was crashing down on her. A tear fell down her cheek. She missed her freedom during the day time and the life she had just a few weeks ago when she could come and go as she pleased. She knew Eric was just trying to keep her safe and happy but she was longing for the carefree days she had just a few weeks ago when she wasn't scared to move freely in her own house. She was full on crying now, trying to control her sobs so she didn't wake up Eric. She loved him. She didn't have one regret about marrying him. He was the only thing that kept her sane. She had the sudden urge to run. The room was closing in on her and she felt like she was drowning. She tried to close her eyes and move Eric's big arm around her. She suddenly felt him stir and she watched through her tears as he opened his eyes. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close to his chest.
"What's wrong?" He asked wiping her tears away with his thumb. "I'm sorry." Was all she could get as she sobbed. She felt even worse now that she had woken him up. He rolled on his side and tucked her in his arms. "Sookie, look at me Lover," she did and he gently kissed her. "Tell me," she sighed. "It's stupid really, I guess I was just bored. But then I started to get lonely and sad. I just miss how things were." She cried into his shoulder. "I miss the sun." She whispered. Eric held her tightly. "I know Lover, if you can just get through a few more hours. We're supposed to leave at first dark. It was going to be a surprise but Godric is letting us use his private Villa in Capri. We need to get away. Our problems will still be here when we get back but I just want you to be happy again. It's been so long since you've truly felt happy." There was no use in denying it. He could feel her emotions. "Eric, I love you." She whispered kissing him softly. "I know you do. I wouldn't of married you if you didn't." He kissed her back and rolled on top of her. "Now about feeling bored. Can I do anything to help you with that?" He said raising his eyebrows suggestively and leaned down to kiss her slipping his tongue in her mouth. He ran his hands down her body and under her shirt to cup her breast. She moaned against his mouth and opened her legs. She felt him pressed hard against her. He rolled her nipple between his two fingers and kissed down her neck. "Honey please don't stop." She cried as he pulled his wife beater over her head. He cupped her other breast and buried his face in them. His free hand slid down her belly into the waist band. He found her wet and easily worked two fingers in her. She moaned and suddenly something came over her. She pushed Eric's hand away and pushed him over on his back. She straddled his waist and rubbed against him. He let her take the lead. She slid up far enough and he ripped the boxers off her. She took him in her hand and lined him up at her entrance before impaling herself on him. She cried out as he filled her. She began to ride him hard. Lifting herself up before slamming back down. Eric ripped the wife beater in half so he could get to her breasts better. She grabbed his wrists and held them above his head. His fangs snapped down as at the sight of her breasts slapping back and forth. She used his wrists as leverage and slammed against him one more time as she came hard and fell panting against his chest. She let his wrists go and he wrapped his arms around her and gently rolled her on to her back. She began to sob again. He looked into her eyes. She was killing him. He had been waiting for her to break and it was happening. "Sookie?" He said looking into her eyes. "I'm sorry, I think I just need to cry." He nodded. "It's ok, I've got you." He said sliding back in her. He took her slowly. Memorizing everything about her. The way she moaned everytime he filled her, the passion in her kiss, and the love in her eyes. He cupped the back of her head in his large hands, tangling his fingers in her hair. She clung to him like he was her lifeline. She was close again. He kissed her passionately and thrust in her hard one last time before they both came together. Sookie fell back against the bed and Eric rolled to her side and cradled her to his chest.
They laid there a few minutes in each other's arms without saying a word. Eric brushed her hair away from her eyes.
"When are we leaving?" Sookie asked quietly, tracing his bicep. "First dark, Pam is going to meet us at Anubis Air with a bag for you. Anything else you need you can get when we get there." Sookie kissed him. "Can I go outside during the daytime?" Sookie asked hopeful. "It should be fine, no one but Godric knows we'll be there. I miss smelling the sunlight in your hair." Eric admitted as he stood up and pulled a pair of boxers on covering his butt. "Eric, I feel like I'm suffocating, like I'm trapped. I know it's for the best after what's happened. But that doesn't make it easier. " Eric stopped getting dressed and fell to his knees in front of her. He gently pulled her against him. "Sookie nothing about this is best. The last thing I want is for you to feel like you've lost your freedom." Sookie wrapped her arms around his neck. "I know, is it to early to get ready?" Eric kissed her tenderly one last time and stood back up. "Start getting dressed Mrs. Northman we killed more time than you think." He winked at her. She couldn't help but giggle he was absolutely adorable and she loved him so much.
The next night.
Sookie stirred as Eric carried her through the doors of Godric's private Italian Villa. It had been a long day for them both and Sookie had fallen asleep in Eric's arms around 2:30. He carried her into the beautiful light tight master bedroom and gently laid her on the bed and pulled her heels off. He rubbed her feet gently.
"This has to be the most comfortable bed I've ever laid down on." She said opening her eyes and yawning. "Go back to sleep if you want to. I've got to get our bags." He said.
She stretched and held out her hand to him. He took her hand and helped her up. "Look around if you want to, I'll be back soon." He said kissing her softly on her lips. She kissed him back and sighed when he pulled away and left.
She took a deep breath and looked around the beautiful bedroom she was in. It was so much easier to breathe since they had left Louisiana. She hadn't realized how the stress of the last few weeks had followed her around. It would be nice not to have to look over her shoulder constantly for a little while. Sookie walked over to the balcony door and unlocked the door. She gasped as she opened it and heard the sound of the waves crashing below them. The house was built on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean. She closed her eyes and breathed in the salt air. She went back inside and closed the door. She carefully put her heels back on and looked in the mirror to check her hair. She opened the bedroom door and walked in the hall. The house was enormous. Eric had told her it had fourteen bedrooms and six bathrooms. It was beautifully decorated. Sookie wondered around a little bit and found herself out in the garden by the pool. It was beautiful. It made her think of home. Not the farm house but the one she'd shared with Eric. A tear slid silently down her cheek. She hated the Queen and Bill Compton. More importantly she hated Hadley for running her big mouth. Hadley had taken away her sense of security. And home didn't feel like home anymore. She felt him before she saw him. His strong arms wrapped around her from the back and she was pulled against his chest. The top of her head fell against his shoulder. Her anxiety melted away.
"Eric it's beautiful." She whispered.
"Don't think about them here. You'll drive yourself crazy. We'll fix it I promise you. Want to go for a swim?" He said kissing her neck. "We don't have our bathing suits on?" She said.
"Mmm, that's even better." He slid her dress straps off her shoulders and kissed her shoulder. He let her go and took off his shirt. He dropped his pants and before she could decide what to do next he dove in the pool. She let out a laugh. She reached behind her and unzipped her dress. She let it fall to the ground and stepped out. She kicked off her heels and took off her bra and panties. She walked over to the edge of the pool as Eric resurfaced. He swam over to the side as she climbed in the pool using the ladder. Rene had almond drowned her. They both knew she was trying to control her fear of being in water. Eric pulled her in his arms and held her tightly. "It's ok. I've got you." He whispered kissing her. He held her tightly in his arms and swam backwards to the other side. There was a seat made into the concrete. He sat on it and she straddled his lap. He was already hard and pressed against her. "Do it." She pleaded pressing her lips to his. Gasping in his mouth as he filled her completely. They made love slowly. He let her lead at her own pace. It was one of the things she loved about him. He knew her and what she needed and just gave it to her without having to be told. When they were both satisfied she collapsed against his chest and he just held her until he had to fly them into the house to escape the sunrise. They showered and went to bed. Sookie snuggled against Eric. They were happy. Sookie's eyes began to droop. She drifted off to sleep and slept the best she had in weeks.
