I don't own anything other than OCs

CH2

One Week Earlier

"Chase we got them!"

Chase sped up in his motorbike. Surly, he could make out two motorcycles on the road ahead of him.

"Got a visual on the Ruff Ruff Pack! Thanks Skye!" Chase confirmed as he gritted his teeth and hit the throttle.

The first of the bikers to notice him was a husky pup who took one glance behind her.

"Crap! The Police Pup's on us!" She blurted with annoyance.

A growl sounded on the bike beside her. "I told you we should've cut through town, but noooo, we had to listen to your lame idea!" A French Bulldog barked from the side seat of the other bike.

"Cut through town and then what, deal with traffic or a blockade!?" The Husky sarcastically asked.

"I…!" The Bulldog stopped himself, he lost.

"Hey… I think the blue pup is gaining on us." A Great Dane pup driving the other bike said.

"Well obviously, Dwayne." The Husky quipped before speeding up. "I'll shake them off!"

She snatched a large bag from the Bulldog and took her bike off road. She zigzagged through trees and zipped past rocks as she desperately tried to lose the police pup. Unbeknownst to her, Skye tracked her via her new helicopter which allowed her to monitor from a higher altitude then her old one.

"Rocky, she's moving to the other road, might want to move and reset that trap." Skye warned.

"On it Skye." The Recycling Pup confirmed through her pup tag.

Chase eventually caught up to her and decided to try and negotiate sense this isn't the first incident of the Ruff Ruff Pack stealing something this week.

"Look Gasket just drop the S'more stuff and we'll leave you alone, I promise." He genuinely offered.

"JuSt DwaP ThE SMorE SnufF," Gasket rudely mimicked him before continuing. "We're gonna eat good tonight and you're not gonna stop us!" She taunted with a hint of desperation.

"C'mon, you know how this is going to end all you ha–" Chase was cut off by wads of soil hitting his face. He Gasket had cut her wheel on him. He came to a halt as she zoomed off.

"Phe! Ugh!" He frantically spat.

"Chase! Are you okay!" Skye asked worriedly.

"Yeah… just gonna need a good bath after this." He assured.

He saw the relief on her face on his pup tag. "Gasket's on the other road now heading for the desert, Hopefully Rocky would have reset his trap by now."

"Good, I'll see if I can catch back up to her." Chase said before driving off.

Gasket was going full speed down the highway, pushing her bike to it's limits. She barely noticed a glimmer on the asphalt ahead of her, she shrugged it off as a mirage. It didn't fade away though, so she just assumed it was a puddle. It wasn't until she hit it.

Next thing she knew she was thrown from her bike and was in the air, before hitting the asphalt with a thump.

A shocked Rocky watched the whole thing. He admitted the glue trap was a little risky for this one, considering how fast they were known to go. He snapped out of it and immediately ran over to her.

"Mmmhhf…" She moaned, it all happened in the blink of an eye.

"Here, I'll help you…" Rocky attempted to help her up.

She pushed his paw away and muttered, "eew, get away from me!"

Rocky backed away and lowered his head. He felt his heart crack at those words, he developed a small crush for this pup.

Chase closed in on them and made a dash for the bag, snatching it up with his pup claw. "Yes! Gram crackers and marshmallows secured Ryder!"

"Way to go Chase! Now the Thomas family can enjoy their campfire tonight." Ryder congratulated. "PAW Patrol, regroup at the Thomas residence!" He ordered.

"Yes sir!"

Gasket climbed back on her bike and attempted to drive out of the glue. "See you later, losers!"

"I think the real losers here are the Ruff Ruff Pack!" Chase barked.

Gasket powered through the glue and held up her right paw, forming an L shape with her digits.

Chase looked over to Rocky and noticed his glum expression and nudged him on the shoulder. "You alright man?"

Rocky shook his head, "yeah yeah, just… you know, girls."

"Don't worry, she doesn't know what she's missing out on." Chase shrugged with a smile.

Rocky laughed at his cheap attempt to cheer him up.

"I think I'll let you carry the stuff if you don't mind, I want to ride freely for a little and just let some heat out." Chase said.

"Don't worry, I got you dude." Rocky shook his head before taking the bag and cruising off in his recycling truck.

Chase breathed a sigh of relief before mounting his bike, he certainly didn't feel like carrying that bag with him back to town. I'll definitely have to make this up to him sometime.

He decided to take the long route back to town and retraced his tracks off road. A nice drive through the woodland would certainly cool him off and let his mind run free. He wished Ryder would let him go out by himself, just to ride and take a break from missions, just once in awhile. That's where he thought the Ruff Ruff Pack had it easy, just ride around all day.

Lately though, Skye seemingly is the only thing on his mind. The older they've grown, the more he wanted to be around her and he was sure she felt that way about him. He assumed it was the 'coming of age thing' he overheard Ryder explain to Marshall, no doubt about Everest, and he was pretty stern that they keep it appropriate. He didn't know what kind of punishment an inappropriate love thing would warrant but he sure didn't plan to find out anytime soon. All he could hope to do was just wait for that right moment.

"Aaagh!" Chase was violently jolted out of his thoughts as his bike hit an unseeable bump and was knocked off. He found himself eating dirt again.

He spat and hissed in pain. His front leg was stuck in a hole. He mustered all of his strength and lurched upward and to the side, yanking his leg out of the hole.

"Gah!… damn that hurt." He cursed under his breath as he laid there. He moved his paw around which caused pain to radiate around the joint.

"Ryder!"

No response.

"Skye!"

Still nothing.

He glanced down, his pup tag was gone. Chase immediately shot up and looked around frantically, no sign of on the grace or under him. He looked down into the hole.

"Flashlight, Ruff Ruff!" He commanded.

A light came out of his pup pack and lit the hole to reveal it went down a ways and curved. He gulped, the hole was just barely wide enough for him and his pup tag probably fell down there. He was going to have to crawl.
