"Give it up, old lady! Your dream sucks!" Yelled Billy cheerfully as he dashed up a hill with Nothung in hand.
"Yeah, Knowledge Witch, some things just shouldn't be known!" Added Nightclad cheerfully as he flew beside the six fingered giant towards the top of the hill as Canyon dashed beside them. "Like where Billy puts all his shirts."
Atop the hill the three heroes were climbing was an old purple skinned lady wearing dark robes, staring at the trio with contempt.
"Never! Once I finish this artifact, I will know everything! Every piece of knowledge ever possible at MY fingertips!" Exclaimed the old lady before cackling maniacally. "And I'll use that power to rule ALL OF OOO!"
"Not if WE have something to say about it." Said Canyon, wearing a green dress, cheerfully before she conjured a spear made from her family's sacred spring water and launched it at the witch.
The spear dashed towards Knowledge Witch before getting deflected by an invisible barrier dome. Now with nowhere to go, the water spear returned to Canyon.
Both Nightclad and Billy saw this and were shocked. Billy ran up to the barrier and tried to slash it open with his sword, but to no avail.
"Feeble girl! I've already planned all of this! Not even that big lug over there can break through THIS barrier!" KW said gesturing towards Billy. "You're DOOMED!"
Nightclad dashed towards the barrier with the intent to force it open with his magic. But as soon as his magic touched the barrier, the armoured hero was sucked inside by a vacuum.
Shocked by this, Nightclad was about to teleport away fearing any other traps and knowing he can destroy the barrier from outside the second time. But before he could, he was approached by KW who had a smug look on her face.
Behind her was an altar with a purple crystal orb in the middle.
"Ah, yes, you. The most powerful wizard in the world and the only entity in Ooo I can't read." Said KW narrowing her eyes at Nightclad. "The perfect battery for my ritual."
Suddenly, Nightclad felt a tiny prick on his arm before a thin strand of golden aura began to be sucked by the altar and into the orb.
"YES! YES! Do you feel it? Your magic draining away to feed MY ORACLE CRYSTAL!" Exclaimed KW before cackling maniacally. "You're powerless to-"
Cutting the witch off was a magical blast that turned her tiny and put her inside a magical jar.
"Its about as bad as a mosquito, lady. Don't get dramatic." Deadpanned Nightclad picking up the jar before turning to the Billy outside the dome.
The armoured hero raised his arms, releasing an invisible magical wave that only broke the barrier and nothing else. Now with the barrier down, Billy and Canyon finally entered the scene.
"Everything's clear...except for the weird glowing altar." Said Nightclad calmly as the two giants approached him.
Billy glanced at the altar for a few seconds before his eyes widened. He immediately stood between Canyon, Nightclad and the altar.
"Duck!" He exclaimed standing over his friends protectively before the altar exploded.
The blast was enormous as burned through nearly everything around it. Luckily, the group of heroes were unharmed.
"Mar, might need a new pair of pants." Deadpanned Billy as he held his pants in place, causing Nightclad and Canyon to giggle at their friend's predicament before his pants were wapped out for new ones. "Thanks."
"Who are you?" Asked an unfamiliar voice innocently.
Everyone turned to the source of the voice, even the witch and they saw KW's Oracle Crystal still intact and now with limbs, eyes and a mouth.
The orb was pointing at Nightclad.
"Uhh, me?" He asked in confusion pointing at himself.
He was confused. Nightclad wondered how could something spawning from his magic have the intelligence to speak. Usually monsters are what come out.
The orb nodded. "That's Billy, a great warrior and hero. That's Canyon, a water elemental. But who are you? I can look you up, but something is blocking the information. I can only get a lil peek if I try super hard."
Nightclad tilted his head. "Maybe that's because you were made from my magic...or maybe just my magic being weird."
The orb gasped. "Are you my father then?" She asked excitedly.
Awkward silence filled the area as everyone waited for someone to speak. Deciding to break the silence, Nightclad cleared his throat.
"Uhh, no. Your actual parent is in this jar." Said Nightclad shaking the jar in front of the orb.
"Oh, I know about her. But I wanna know about you." Said Oracle Crystal excitedly as she adorably approached Nightclad. "Can I come with you?"
Everyone immediately turned to Nightclad waiting for his decision. OC was too tiny to bother giants like Billy or Canyon in any way, so the decision fell entirely into Nightclad's hands. Should he take them or leave them alone in this cruel world?
Of course, it was the latter. "I guess you don't have anywhere else to go-"
Not a moment later, OC cut Nightclad off. "Don't worry, I have places to go." She said cheerfully before projecting a map onto the air for Nightclad and rest of the gang to see. "Here's the safest route to the closest danger free cave system with edible life and water that would last a creature of my mass a total of 338 years at minimum. Here's a detailed plan on how to increase that to around 1346 years. In that time, a relocation would be in order. A cave would form by that time which would last a creature of my mass another 1528 years. Alternatively, mars is a possible option but low priority. Another choice would be-"
Everyone went silent as they watched Oracle Crystal innocently flaunt her knowledge. Even her own creator was shocked.
Canyon turned to Nightclad with a serious look on her face. "If you don't take them, I will."
Nightclad gave Canyon an odd look before turning to OC. "Okay, I'll take you in. What should I call you" He said asking for OC's name.
"Miss Omniscient Oracle Crystal." She said cheerfully as she did a cute pose. "Or just Oracle Crystal. Or maybe a nickname. OC would work. Does that make us friends, family and loved ones? Nicknames are commonly used by friends, family and loved ones."
Ignoring the odd usage of words, Billy nodded. "Sure, OC. Welcome to the gang." He said cheerfully as Knowledge Witch writhed and seethed inside her jar.
"But you're not a gang. Gangs are bad and you're good," Asked OC cheerfully tilting her head before freezing in place. "wait- you meant the other definition. Means group of people associated with each other." She said processing the information arriving into her head before jumping excitedly. "Yay! I'm in the gang! That's what happiness looks like."
Nightclad stared at Oracle Crystal tilting his head. Something felt off about the tiny creature. It felt like she knew everything, but as if she had read about them in a book and didn't actually understand what they meant.
Well, she had just been born a minute ago so it had to be the case. Deciding to see what would happen, Nightclad conjured a lollipop from nothing and kneeled to OC's level.
"Hey, OC. Y'know what this is?" He asked cheerfully.
"It's a lollipop. Classification: candy. Usually, like most candy, it's sweet. Sweet is a sensation felt by tasting certain types of food, usually candy." OC said cheerfully as she looked up at Nightclad.
"Well, do you know what sweet tastes like?" The armoured hero asked cheerfully.
OC paused. "...a good feeling on your tongue?" She asked unable to properly put it into words.
"Wanna try it?" Nightclad asked offering OC the lollipop as he took off his helmet.
OC paused for a second before giving the lollipop a lick while it was still in Marshall's hand. She paused once again, taking in the sensation for the first time in her life.
She then proceeded to try to swallow the lollipop whole with the stick and all only for Marshall to pull it out and stop her from choking as everyone, save for the witch, laughed in the background.
"Good!" OC exclaimed loudly as she tried to swallow it all again only for Marshall to stop her choking once more. "Good!"
That was a nice day.

Present time. In front of Marceline's.
"So who's that guy, Marcy and why does he have Billy's nose on his ear? I can look him up, but something is blocking the information," said OC narrowing her eyes as she pointed at Marshall curled into a ball on the ground. "I can only get a lil peek if I try super hard. It's weird. Is he your evil twin or something?"
Marceline, who was wearing her grey no smoking shirt and some shorts, stared at OC with concerned look on her face. Canyon, who was next to her and wearing a black short sleeved shirt with brown pants as a giant sword hung on her back, also shared the same expression. OC remembered BOTH them, but couldn't remember a thing about Marshall.
"Why are you acting so sad?" OC asked in confusion. "Why can't I tell why you're sad? Is it because of your lookalike over there? Did he hurt you? Just give me the order and I'll hurt him back."
The words were loud enough to reach the wizard's ears
Marceline turned to her brother, who was wearing a hoodie, sweatpants, Billy's gem earring and slippers, with a worried expression before floating to him and softly placing a hand on his back as she sat next to him.
"You doing okay?" She asked softly only to be met with silence. "Hey, we can fix this. Her memories of you must be somewhere in that big crystal noggin."
Silence again. Marceline frowned, feeling despondent at this happening again. She knew someone must've set him off. Marshall wasn't one to get angry for stupid reasons. Whoever it was, she was gonna rip their throat out.
But helping Marshall came first. "Please, don't tell me you're thinking of pushing OC away because of this." Marshall flinched, causing Marceline pull him to into a hug. "I know...you think you're a danger to her. But you'll only hurt her and yourself if you do this again. So please...let's fix this and get things back to how they were."
Marshall didn't reply and instead tightly hugged his sister and cried into her clothes. Marceline didn't dare to push him away. She returned the hug and patted him on the back before he began to sing a calming song.
As the twins sat like this, another duo were watching them from around the corner. It was Canyon and OC.
"So, you're saying he's Marceline's brother and we used to be best friends before an accident happened yesterday?" Asked OC narrowing her eyes. "What's his relationship with Princess Bubblegum? Gotta make sure Bubbline's still sailing, y'know?"
Canyon chuckled. "Still deep into romance, huh?" She asked with a smile.
"You know it, girl." Replied OC doing a finger gun gesture before turning back to Marceline and Marshall. "Now back to that guy. Marshall, right? Tell me about him. I need info."
Canyon put a hand on her chin. "He's a reckless idiot who does stupid things when he's sad or anxious. But he's dependable and means well," she said calmly. "he also had a secret hero identity with a super edgy name."
"So he's like a sad, bad boy?" OC asked raising a brow only for Canyon to shake her head. "So just a sad boy? Shame."
"You're not acting too upset for someone who just learned that they forgot their best friend." Said Canyon calmly as she knelt to multiple times of OC's level.
OC frowned. She felt bad for the boy, but she didn't feel that kind of bad for him. "I guess i feel bad," she said dejectedly placing a hand on her cheek. "But it's hard to be that kind of upset when you don't remember why, y'know?"
"Do you wanna remember?" Canyon asked calmly as she put her hand on the ground for OC to hop on to.
OC paused before jumping onto Canyon's hand and nodding. "Let's do this." She said prompting Canyon to head to the half demon twins.

OC, Canyon, Marshall and Marceline all sat in a circle outside the vampire queen's house as they decided what to do next.
"Wait- before we start." Marceline stopped the meeting and turned to OC. "OC, someone set off my brother which made him lose control of his magic and caused the accident. Can you tell me who they are?."
Immediately, Marshall went visibly on edge. OC saw this and wondered...what could he be hiding? If she couldn't see who it was it meant that Marshall was solely responsible and perhaps not as good a person as Canyon said.
"I'll give it a try." She said staring at the wizard in suspicion before looking into the accident that happened to her before freezing up.
Hunson Abadeer and Princess Bubblegum both breaking into the same house at the same time.
Marshall and OC glanced at each other making eye contact for exactly one millisecond. In that one millisecond, with only eye contact the two came to an agreement. Marceline CANNOT know about this.
"They're dead." OC lied quickly causing Marshall to relax with a sigh of relief.
"Dang." Said Marceline with a growl.
Awkward silence filled the area following Marceline's growl before Canyon clapped her hands and shook everyone awake.
"Alright, everyone, let's look at our options to get OC's memories back." Said Canyon with a smile. "OC, any ideas?"
"I'm immune to mental magic so that's off the table." OC replied calmly. "Maybe if we hang out long enough I might remember something. That's typically how it work-."
"Wizard city." Marshall cut her off dejectedly. "You always liked going there...how about we hang out there for a bit."
Canyon tilted her head in confusion. "You sure, Marsh? You always- nevermind." She said glancing at OC.
OC saw this and narrowed her eyes. "No no, continue. Tell me the gossip."
Marshall decided to reply before anyone else. "I kinda own the place. The wizards there just make it uncomfortable whenever they see my face." He said scratching the back of his head. "The younger wizards don't recognize me though. That's good."
OC paused. "So you're, like, the wizard king?" She asked curiously prompting Marshall to nod silently.
"As long as we lay low, we should be fine." Said Marshall in an uncomfortable tone.
With that, their goal was set. Marceline changed into new clothes before Marshall had everyone wearing cloaks and masks.
Then, they teleported to wizard city.

In a dark alley in Wizard city.
The four landed safely inside the city in an alleyway with no one in sight.
"We're here. OC, what do you wanna do first?" Marshall asked with a weak smile.
OC paused with a hand on her mouth, thinking of what to choose.
"I wanna see a live wizard duel!" Exclaimed OC cheerfully. "It's just not the same seeing it from home."
Marshall nodded slowly before he picked OC up and headed to the heart of the city to find some serious wiz biz leaving Marceline and Canyon to give a few thumbs ups from the back.
Marshall and OC quickly found a wizard between two random wizards with the help of the latter. The two sat down nearby and silently watched as the two wizards fought.
"Isn't it great? Two people passionate about their craft fighting to see whose passion is greater?" Asked OC cheerfully as the duel continued.
"Yeah. You feel like you're there with them, egging them on. Like you would follow them to hell and back." Replied Marshall with a smile as he took off the mask and pulled his hood over his face. "You told me that before."
"Hmm, so that's how it feels to be predicted. It's weird."
Marshall chuckled. "I guess, but what's normal anymore? It's hard to process it all." Replied Marshall with a weak smile as he brushed OC's head with his hand. "I'm sorry I snapped and hurt you and I'm scared I might do it again. I still think it might be better if you don't remember me. You'll be safer that way."
OC turned to Marshall and stared him in the eyes. "That's dumb." She deadpanned. "Life isn't just survival. It's also making the most out of your time. If I wanted to just survive, I'd dig myself a hole in the perfect spot and sleep inside forever. Previous me probably would've slapped you for saying that."
"Yeah." Said Marshall dejectedly.
OC stared at the sad sack next to her and wondered what to do. Marshall needed something to take his mind off the sadness. And she had a good idea what that could be. She turned to the two wizards whose duel had just finished and yelled loudly towards the winner.
"Yo! You wanna duel the Wizard King?" She asked pulling Marshall's hood down, causing him immense panic.
"Wizard King? Marshall Lee the Wizard King?" Asked the wizard as his eyes widened. "THE WIZARD KING IS HERE!!!!"
"Dung." Said Marshall picking up OC in a panic as the ground began to shake violently.
"Why do you look like that? It's just one random wizard." Asked OC in confusion.
"Uhh, one of the rules of being wizard king is that you have to accept at least one duel request per year to prove your magical superiority and defend your title. The duels stack if you miss a year and only the strongest wizards can participate in them." Said Marshall as he saw a giant wave of wizards approaching his location. "I haven't been to wizard city in over three centuries."
OC stared blankly at Marshall as she realized what she had done. She set him up against the top 300 wizards currently in wizard city.
The one versus 300 quickly began as magical arrows flew his way from a far. Marshall easily blocked them before hitting whoever shot them with a sleep spell.
Marshall quickly teleported to the air behind the wave of wizards and froze a significant number of them with an icy blast before the fire lord jumped onto his body.
Marshall quickly threw him off and encased him in cement, leaving him to crash to the pavement before turning around to see a large emerald eyed wizard.
"Grand Master Wizard?! You too?!" Yelled Marshall in exasperation.
"Sorry, your majesty, but these are the ruuules!" Exclaimed Grand Master Wizard enthusiastically as he fired a beam of energy at his king, causing OC to giggle.
Unluckily for a wizard who was trying to jump onto Marshall, the wizard king caught him and used him as a shield against Grand Master Wizard's attack which turned him into a cat that was promptly thrown at GMW distracting him from the fight.
"We need to find Marcy and Canyon." Said Marsh as his arm turned into a flower, causing him to drop OC.
In a panic, Marshall turned his arm back to normal and teleported under OC to catch her before sending a beam that turned the legs of whoever made him drop OC into a pot.
"You okay?" Marshall asked worriedly.
"Yeah, just saw my life flash before my eyes no biggie." Said OC in calm horror.
"It's too dangerous for you to be here." Said Marshall in a serious tone as he conjured a lollipop. "Here's a snack while you watch from a safe place."
OC took the lollipop before Marshall dashed into the air to fight the remaining wizards. OC loved lollipops so she easily accepted the treat.
But as she was about to put its entirety in her mouth, she felt that something was off. She was going to put the whole thing in her mouth, stick and all which was weird considering she'd choke if she did that. Why was her first instinct to down the whole thing?
She thought hard about the situation. Usually there was someone to stop her from eating it and the stick whole. That's how she always eats it. Usually to mess with...someone? Mess with who?
OC stared at the candy intently before giving it a lick. Her eyes immediately widened as if her mind had awakened from a great fog.
She turned to Marshall who was finishing up the remaining wizards and quickly approached him.
Marshall turned to her in surprise as he stood atop a hill of defeated wizards. She gestured for him to come down and he did as asked and kneeled to her level before she slapped him.
"That's for the stupid stuff you said earlier!" Exclaimed OC with an expression of deep disapproval. "Now give me a hug you sad sack of bananas!"
Tears formed around Marshall's eyes as he couldn't move a muscle. OC was back. The moment Marshall was able to move he hugged the omniscient orb as tightly as he could. Waterworks flowed out of his eyes and down his cheeks and they weren't going anywhere any time soon.
Canyon and Marceline, who was holding a bass made of the former's sacred spring water, saw this and smiled.
It was all good in the end.
