In the magical land of Aaa inside a giant tree house lived a human heroine named Fionna and a magical cat named Cake.

The two were in the kitchen making a midnight snack, humming cheerfully without a care in the world.

Crash*

But suddenly, the two heard a crash come from the bottom floor.

"What the-" Cake exclaimed in shock as the ground shook under her feet

"What was that?" Asked Fionna in shock before a monster broke through the floor and landed in front of the two.

"Quick, smack it with me!" Exclaimed Cake as she transformed into a mace for Fionna to use and jumped into her hands.

The heroine swiftly swung her mighty cat mace at the beast, managing to land a heavy blow to its head before it spoke.

"Hold on! It's me, Marshall Lee!" Exclaimed the monster before turning into the familiar figure of the vampire king with an axe bass hanging off his back holding a small purple orb in his hands. "I need your help."

"Did you HAVE to break through the floor?" Asked Cake pouting. "But you do look distressed."

"Sorry, I was in a hurry and didn't wanna drop this guy while flying." Said Marshall Lee as he held up the orb revealing its face and limbs.

"Hi there." Said the orb calmly with a wave.

"Hi." Replied Fionna and Cake and near unison.

"Anyways, I need your help saving my sister." Said Marshall Lee in a serious tone.

Fionna and Cake blancked at what Marshall said. He had a sister? Was she also a vampire?

"You have a sister?" Asked Cake tilting her head curiously. "Is she also a vampire?"

"Was she caught by a monster? Who do we need to slice?" Asked Fionna in a serious tone.

"Uhh, no and no." Deadpanned Marshall Lee. "Marcy's a witch. The strongest witch in all of Aaa and that's the problem."

The pair of heroes went silent in confusion. The problem didn't seem very...problematic. as if they knew what the two were thinking, the orb spoke.

"Her magic is driving her nuts and we need to stop it before we lose her forever." Said the orb calmly.

"This is Omniscient Prism or OP for short. He's Marcy's bff," Marshall Lee introduced the orb creature in his arms. "He'll explain what's going on."

Everyone in the room immediately turned to OP who cleared his throat.

"Marceline was born with powerful magic beyond all other. But that magic was fundamentally different from normal magic. It came from her sou and rejected normal magic entirely." Said OP in a dead serious tone. "But Marceline was stubborn, she wanted to know magic in its entirety and forced her magic and outside magic to combine, giving her immense power over what she already had and corrupting her mind. Thankfully, we have a solution."

"The amulet of Bell Noche." Marshall finished the sentence pulling out a blue amulet. "We stole this from some weirdos in witch city."

"It contains powerful anti magic that should fix her without harming her." Added OP with a frown. "We just need to put this necklace around her neck."

"Seems like you got this whole thing figured out," said Fionna in confusion. "Why do you need our help?"

Marshall's eyes narrowed. "Uhh, which part of the strongest witch in all of Aaa do you not understand?" He asked with a frown. "We'd never be able to get this around her neck on our own!"

Oh's of realization came out of Fionna and Cake's mouths as they understood why they were needed.

"Alright! We just have to keep that witch busy while you do your thing." Exclaimed Cake cheerfully.

And so, the goal was set and the group headed out to their destination in the middle of the night.

In a grassy plains on the way to Marceline's.

"So, what's your sister like?" Asked Cake curiously as she and the group headed forwards.

"Oh, yeah. We've never met her." Added Fionna cheerfully.

Marshall paused. "She's...a little weird." He deadpanned. "But a great person though."

Fionna and Cake leaned in to hear more, prompting the vampire king to raise a brow.

"Weird how?" Asked Fionna curiously.

"She says crazy stuff like 'our world is just an animated story on a screen for people to enjoy. All my actions are very much inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.' as an excuse to turn a mountain into a bouncy castle or something." Replied Marshall Lee with a chuckle. "But she's always there whenever i need her."

The last part was said in a less cheery tone than the rest. It was clear Marshall Lee was very upset at what happened to his sister. Fionna donned a determined expression and placed a hand on the vampire's shoulder.

"Don't worry, Marshall Lee. We'll save your sister!" She said in a serious tone.

Before the vampire king could reply, OP spoke. "We're here." He said calmly as the group stood in front of what seemed to be nothing at all.

Before Fionna and Cake could ask what was going on, a giant house appeared out of nowhere in front of them.

"Remember, don't hold back. She can take anything you throw at her and more." Said OP in a serious tone.

"But don't actually hurt HURT her." The vampire king berated with a frown. "My sister's still in there-"

Suddenly, as if on que, maniacal laughter boomed from the giant house and a wave of magic spread all over turning the grass around the group into evil gummy bears and badger snake chickens. Marshall Lee immediately pulled everyone off the ground and into the air as he stared at his sister's house as it started mutating.

"-somewhere."

"Marshall Lee, take us in!" Exclaimed Fionna teeming with determination.

The vampire king did as asked and dashed through an unmutated window with everyone in hand. Now inside the building, Fionna pulled out her sword and got ready for battle. Cake did the same and so did Marshall Lee.

As the four vigilantly walked through a corridor towards Marceline's location, another wave of maniacal laughter boomed into their ears and mutated the house.

Suddenly, the walls turned into wooden otter dragons that breathed razor sharp leaves onto the group.

Fionna spun her sword in a circle to block as many as possible before Marshall Lee clawed the dragons and destroyed them along with parts of the walls. But some of the wooden otter dragons survived.

"Ignore them. Let's go." Ordered Marshall Lee dashing forward with OP in hand.

Fionna and Cake followed the vampire king dodging weird mutation after weird mutation until they all reached a spacious room filled with all kinds of odd creatures and items. Even its shape was wrong. And in the middle of such a room, a female figure with pale skin and long black hair wearing a gray tank top, dark blue jeans, red boots and a blue witch hat floated in the air. It was Marceline and she was laughing manically and tightly clutching her scalp as if her final grip on sanity escaped her grasp.

"Marceline!" Exclaimed Marshall Lee in shock alerting his maddened sister to their location.

Everyone got ready to fight as Marceline eyed them with a crazy grin before she disappeared into thin air.

Everyone looked all around them for Marceline before Fionna heard a whisper behind her ear.

"Peek a boo."

Fionna immediately turned around and sliced whatever was behind her on instinct, but as soon as her sword touched Marceline's side it transformed into a gummy sword prompting the witch to tear out a part of it and eat it.

"Hey! That sword ain't for eatin'!" Exclaimed Cake with a frown as she tried to grab Marceline.

But to her surprise, her hand went right through the unflinching witch. Marceline gestured for Cake to come closer, forcibly pulling the cat towards her with magic before cheerfully scrambling every hole in her face with her hands.

Stopping her from causing more damage, Marshall Lee, who didn't have OP in his hands, jumped onto his sister's back tried to place Bell Noche's amulet around her neck. The witch easily shrugged him off and blew him away with magic.

"Marshall Lee!" Exclaimed Fionna before she tried to catch Marceline before she met the same fate as Marshall Lee.

The witch then turned to the funny looking cat and started playing with Cake's face once more.

As Cake was living the worst day of her life, Marshall Lee and Fionna sat together trying to think of a solution.

"Ugh, what do we do? Anything we throw at her is thrown back worse!" Exclaimed Fionna in frustration.

Marshall Lee paused. "My sister should be somewhere inside there. If there was just a way to wake her up."

"There is!" OP chirped in, almost making Fionna punch him in surprise before he pointed at Marshall Lee's bass. "She always loved your music. If anything can wake her up, it's that. Fionna, you'll place the necklace."

The two nodded to OP's orders and got ready to work. Marshall pulled out his bass and gave Fionna the necklace.

Marshall took a deep breath as he held his bass ready to play before he dashed towards the same area as his sister and began playing the best he could.

The effects were immediate as Marceline seemed distracted by the music, allowing Cake to escape her face scrambling.

Taking advantage of this, Fionna latched onto the distracted Marceline and attempted to place the necklace around her neck. Sadly, Marceline wasn't completely out of it. She raised her hand and froze Fionna in time and place.

But luckily, OP was there to help. A golden arrow flew towards Marceline's hand and transformed into a prison bubble for her hand the moment it hit.

It was enough to dispel Marceline's magic for just enough time for Fionna to move again and place the necklace around the witch's neck.

Marceline's eyes widened as the necklace began to glow. She slowly floated back to the ground and flopped onto the floor before falling unconscious.

Marshall Lee worriedly rushed towards his sister and supported her body as she started to wake up.

"Marshall?" Marceline asked groggily.

"Heya, goober." Said Marshall Lee with a smile before tightly hugging his sister.

"Hey." Replied Marceline with a smile before she felt a nudge from behind her. She turned around to see Cake the cat not looking very good. "Oops, let me fix that for you."

Marceline snapped her fingers and the magic cat's face returned to normal.

Cake gasped. "My face!" She said cheerfully.

"Uhh, what happened?" Asked Marceline scratching her head in confusion as she floated into the air next to Marshall.

"You used magic you weren't supposed to and went crazy." Replied Marshall Lee with a disapproving frown. "OP and I found a solution, but we wouldn't have been able to do it without Fionna and Cake."

Marceline placed a hand on her chin and turned the duo. "I know. To make it up to you, I'll grant one wish. Anything your heart desires, except love of course."

Fionna and Cake went silent and thought about what to wish for before Fionna spoke up.

"Can I have a new sword?" She asked cheerfully. "You sorta turned the one I had into a gummy worm."

"You got it." Said Marceline before a magical sword formed into her hands. "This one has a few magical properties that should suit your fancy."

"Neat." Said Fionna accepting the sword.

"Now that that's done. It looks like I have... cleaning to do." Said Marceline glancing at the chaos around her. "So everyone has to go home."

"I can help if you want." Asked Marshall Lee cheerfully.

"And risk something happening to you? You already did something very reckless today. I could've killed all of you." Said Marceline crossing her arms. "So I'll handle the mess alone."

Before Marshall could reply, Marceline teleported him as well as Fionna and Cake to their respective homes. Silence filled the area before Marceline heard tiny footsteps.

"Have you learned your lesson?" Asked OP calmly as he approached Marceline.

"Not really. I'm still gonna keep looking." Muttered Marceline calmly.

"You can't keep doing this. Why are you so obsessed with finding that person?" Asked OP with a frown. "He might not even want you."

"He will because he's me. And I want to find someone like me. Someone from outside the dream." Said Marceline narrowing her eyes as she started undoing the damage to her home. "I want someone who can understand me. Someone who knows the truth."

OP rolled his eyes. "You have a perfect life and you're gonna ruin it for someone outside it?"

Marceline scoffed. "I'm not ruining anything." She said with a shrug.

OP didn't reply and instead turned to a wall and started projecting the scene of Marshall Lee curled into a ball in his house looking very upset.

"Ugh, why does she always have to push me away like that?!" He yelled angrily as he punched a wall.

Marceline went silent. "He cares about you, he risked his life to save you and you're throwing him in the trash for a different version of him that doesn't even know you?" Asked OP with a disapproving frown. "Tsk, I'm disappointed."

Marceline went silent. She stared at the scene of her brother alone and upset dejectedly. She felt regret.

"You have two options. You either keep looking for your Marshall Lee counterpart or you keep your Marshall Lee brother." Said OP calmly as he walked away towards the room's door. "Who will you pick? And before you say it, you can't pick both."

"I- I"

"This isn't a question to answer with words, Marcy." Said OP with a deep frown. "And you better pick the right decision because I've had it with your antics."

Before Marceline could say a thing, OP slammed the door shut behind him leaving Marceline alone in that room to think about what she had done.

Marceline in this reality has not gone through the amount of trauma Marshall of this fic has. Which means she was more focused and attached to her magic than her surroundings. Making her distant from her brother unlike our Marshall who was at a constant war with himself and knew the value of loved ones.

If the two were to fight, it would be a draw as Marshall is more skilled at fighting so he can take her down easy but she is technically undefeatable because she can heal infinitely unlike Marsh. Eventually, they'd both just collapse from all the mental fatigue.

Tell me how I did. Leave review.

Toodles.
