PART 1: The City Of Gold

CHAPTER 6: On Behalf Of Erubus

An arms store. Not necessarily a place that you would expect to be broken into. Customers peacefully shopped, the sun slowly beginning to sink as the day wore on to an end.

Suddenly the store door crashed to the ground with a loud thud as 2 mask-covered humans stepped out from behind, together they lifted up the force of a lightweight battering ram.

"Drop your weapons," they ordered the shopkeeper, 2 customers, and the janitor. Each of those 4 people held either a knife, a gun, or a lighter.

When no one dropped their weapons, the battering ram crashed onto the ground and the floor was torn apart by the sheer weight, maybe it wasn't so light. The 2 intruders pulled out guns and held them at the customers and the shop owner.

One customer fired at the 2 armed villains with his AK-47 but somehow the bullet hit the people and bounced off, they could be wearing a bulletproof vest, but that wouldn't explain how the bullets bounced off.

"Wh - who?" the shopkeeper asked, quivering. He didn't receive a response as a bullet nailed him straight through the head, or perhaps that in itself was a response.

One of the customers screamed and was shot immediately, the Janitor, dropped to the ground dead as the final customer stood, facing the attackers. The boy dropped his gun to the ground and snarled.

"I thought your master had stopped the murdering. But seems he is as idiotic as ever!"

"Don't speak about our master with your filthy mouth, you betrayed him. YOU BETRAYED HIM!" the older of the 2 killers roared.

" I betrayed him because he would only bring doom to us all." was the response that came out of the boy's mouth, he pulled out two twin blades and took a deep breath.

"You came to capture me? THEN DO IT!" he screamed

The man stared the attackers down and slammed his blades into them, he leaped into the air and pulled a man into a headlock, the other attacker was female and tried to shoot him, the defender used the man to deflect the blow and then dropped him on the ground and tried to stab him. Not having enough time, he merely chose to knock him unconscious from blood loss and maybe he would die that way, either way, the defender was being attacked by the female attacker who still had a gun and bulletproof clothes.

"Come and get me bitch." he snarled as the girl attacked him, mercilessly.

The pair went tumbling into shelving that had moments ago held beef jerky. The boy rose first and grabbed the nearest lethal tool near him, it happened to be lighter. Clicking the lever-type silver button, small flames lit and drilled on top of the girl's head.

She got up quickly though and threw the lighter to the side. "You are going to die."

"Not today," he replied calmly, looking at the room which was utterly destroyed.

He stared at his attacker and picked up his 2 blades from the ground and walked towards the exit, a gunshot went off and he ducked.

"You'll have to do better if you want to kill me," he said smirking before sauntering out of the shop without spending another glance at the place where he had been shopping, just minutes ago.

A hair-covered fist collided with a thick wooden pole. It made no dent so the man continued punching.

He had long bony fingers and a tall but thin frame, his shoulder-length hair was a mix of silver and grey.

After 6 more minutes of punching, he finally came to a stop when the sound of footsteps reached his ears.

"Your hearing is getting worse my friend." a tall and lanky middle-aged man said as he drew a midnight black blade from its sheath.

"Oh be quiet, my hearing is perfectly fine. It isn't my fault if you can approach the room completely silently."

The man smirked, "Chronos, I think you know why I am here."

"I indeed do, it's no secret you want to destroy the Olympians and let us Primordial deities take over the world," Chronos said shaking his head.

"I want to know if you are willing to help me, I have the army I need but more support would be helpful," Erubus said simply.

"More support is always helpful, no matter if you have an army of 10 or 10 million, support is never declined." Chronos chuckled and turned away from his wooden pole and towards the Primordial of Darkness.

"While that is true, your helping will make a big difference."

"At least tell me why I am the Primordial you came to for help, instead of someone more likely to aid you," Chronos said as he walked to collect a weapon for himself.

"For starters, you are quite powerful and -"

Chronos quickly cut him off " I can name at least 5 primordials who are more powerful than me, that answer doesn't cut it."

"If you hadn't interrupted me, you would have heard my second reason." Erebus hissed.

"Which is?"

" There is a job I require done and only you and your Titan counterpart can do it," Erubus said, the tone of his words harshening.

"Why don't you go to him then, I am sure he will be much easier to convince," Chronos said, pointing Erubus to the door.

" Will you at least hear out what I plan to do and see if you can help?" asked the Primordial of Darkness desperately.

Chronos stared at him for a moment before snapping his fingers. A pair of black foldable chairs zoomed towards them and planted themselves next to the Primordial deities.

"Take a seat."

Erebus sat down and placed his sword down on the ground before he began speaking " We need someone who can control time to freeze the armies of Olympus so that we will be able to destroy it, Kronos cannot freeze all of the Olympians in time as even 2 of the eldest 6 gods together are equal to him in power. You however have no equal with opposition below the strongest Primordial's."

"I assume Nyx is not helping you then." Chronos inquired, summoning a steaming pot of coffee and 2 mugs.

"Nyx actually is helping me but she refuses to come up to the surface unless I give her a certain demigod." Erubus hissed.

Chronos shook his head " My area of expertise is not in kidnapping." he said mirthfully before pouring some of the coffee for himself. "Want some?"

Erubus took a long sip before continuing " I have a way to get the demigod down to Tartarus, I only need your help with what I just explained."

"Well, what is in it for me?" Chronos asked.

The Primordial of Darkness paused for a moment and looked at the ground in irritation "Name your price, if it's reasonable then I will accept."

Chronos nodded and responded almost immediately " I want Perseus Jackson, I believe I don't have much time left and I need someone strong, and who better than he who defeated Kronos."

Erubus gritted his teeth in frustration, "Slight complication, Nyx already called dibs on him."
