Sunday, 28 January 2018, Luna Nova
After the search for the holy grail, it was also starting the animation for an event that would happen on the weekend, being in the case the wild hunt, an event made to tell the story about the time of the witch hunt and kind of fighting it, being an annual tradition of Luna Nova, but this time, the teacher Croix wanted to put her hands on this tradition, She got the permission from the headmaster to make the event in her own way to attract the public's attention and for that she simply called one of the students to perform the event, who was already making all these preparations since the beginning of the week, also having Akko's presence, who was making some appearances in the girl's lab to give some help, kind of at the teacher's request.
Before the day of the hunt...
POV Akko:
Now yes, one more mission, I'm barely waiting to participate in the wild hunt, I never imagined I would have Professor Croix promoting, she told me to go to Cons' lab to help her, it will be really great, I'm barely waiting for that, I arrive at the green team's room, from there were the girls kind of as usual doing nothing.
"Where is Cons' lab again?" I ask them.
"Just sit on the bed and press the button" Amanda said pointing to a button on the wall.
"Cons doesn't really like company" Jasminka said.
"You bet, she might end up being a bit grouchy with you Akko, just warning, don't go messing with her stuff too much, I know you were Professor Croix's call, but still, don't disturb her patience, Cons may not speak, but she knows how to show it with actions" O'Neill said and I just shrugged.
I sat on the bed, pressed the button and out of nowhere I was being sucked somewhere, starting to slide, I was screaming most of the time, the thing goes too fast, until I'm falling in the middle of a mattress, phew... This slide is not safe at all, but just when I think I'm safe Cons shows up with a gun, aiming right in front of me.
"Please don't shoot me! I just came to help, it was teacher Croix's request, really!" I say, a bit desperate.
She appears with a sign written "I work alone" I already understood the message, but even so I want to help, it was a request from teacher Croix, come on, I walk to where she is working with things, without wanting to I end up tripping on a robot and she ends up facing me furious.
"Oh sorry, I can't believe I did that, is this robot ok?" I say desperately as I go to try and fix the little robot, but it just seemed broken, until Constanze starts to pick it up and send it somewhere else to fix it.
I go walking more around the laboratory and wow, it's huge, here there's space to make a party even, I didn't know, I arrive where there's a work table and I see that she drew some things, I'm curious to see what it is, it must be about the project to make the wild hunt, but Cons stays in front of me, not letting me see about it, what I get a little upset.
"Oh go Cons, let me help you" I say with inflated cheeks.
She again shows me the sign written "I work alone" but I still shrugged, I want to help, so even then she just ignored me, which gave me the idea to help with the robots, if I can't help with her not leaving on the front work then I'll help with the little robots, let's see where this goes.
And the result ended up not being one of the best, Akko was being kind of clumsy all the time, tripping, making the lab stuff fall everywhere around the lab, until one hour Constanze got a bit fed up, taking her to a place that was a prison...
"Ah Cons come on... I just want to be able to help, let me out of here go, it's not fair you arrest your friend" I try to say, but she just ignore me while she mounts her business, what the hell.
I keep trying to find a way to escape, I take off a part of my belt, where I manage to get in the middle of the keyhole, what I end up unlocking the lock, taking advantage of her distraction moment, where I see that there was a plush close by, with that I leave her inside the cage, while I help the little robots.
"Shhhh, don't warn Cons is fine, I'll try to help her" I tell the machines.
I go walking through the corridors, noticing that there was a picture where she was with her family, she doesn't look that much like her parents, but it's cute to see how Cons since she was a kid was always the same, she with her face full hahaha, come on.
I'm getting the boxes, this time making less noise, going from one side to the other, this time I'm not being so clumsy, but she finds out I'm leaving and appears in front of me with her arms crossed, even being short she knows how to be intimidating.
"Ah Cons, please go, let me give you a little help, I promise I won't destroy anything, I just really want to help you, go... I promise I won't do any destruction" I beg some more and she keeps looking up, until she passes her hand over her face, as if she had a sore expression.
She then sent a thumbs up signal and I got all jumpy, excited to the point of hugging her, but as she's not much for physical contact she soon pushed me away and started grunting for me to go help the robots and I even saluted her like she was a general.
POV Narrator:
So even with Akko being a mess, the duo was managing to find a way to go working during the week in the assembly of the machinery that will be part of the wild hunt, in this case a huge ship, that can serve for the realization of this presentation calling a lot of attention, not only that, but also by social networks, there was Croix who was publicizing the event for everyone who could, appearing in Glastonbury, as if it was an apex of attention, even working very well, since they had several comments.
Some of them negative, others positive, the more with curiosity to see how this wild hunt would appear, some even spoke about not believing in the spirits and only in the holy spirit, besides others who said they were not interested in the outdated magic of the witches, but had no idea of what was prepared by Akko and Constanze. The students were getting excited to see how the wild hunt was going to be, since the previous year it was a moment of fun for some of them who were kind of hunting the ghosts themselves.
On the day of the hunt...
POV Croix:
And perfect, I'm getting more and more able to fuel this thing with the emotions that are going to come in this event, with Constanze's machine, she has secured a device that can fuel the machine more... I can't wait to see, and from the looks of it they're still really wanting to see what's going to roll, a shame that by the laws of Luna Nova, I'm not allowed in making the spirits visible or anything, we still have to hide a lot around magic, a real waste of magical potential.
"So keep commenting, the more emotions, the more you will manage to make my dream come true" I say looking delighted at the comments.
Then I turn, staying in front of my Noir Rod, right behind, little by little his magic charge is filling up, soon I will get the power of the Gran Triskellion for me, I will be able to change the world for good from this all retrograde thinking around magic, things will change for the better, I know it.
My little cubes come flying towards me, which already starts to cheer me up for what I intend to do, this hunt will be the most different of all.
"Fly boys, let's make this hunt interesting, the spirits may not be seen, but you can" I say with a slightly mean tone.
In Constanze's laboratory...
POV Akko:
Finally everything was ready, yay, we managed to assemble the whole ship very well, now it's just a matter of taking it to the wild hunt and Cons made sure to signal me with her thumb, excited I stay on top of the bow, she starts piloting this thing, which is flying, passing through Ley's line, where we are already seeing what seemed to be a huge hole in the sky and from there spirits were coming down mounted on something, they look like horses, we are soon going up, I see the people around also sitting in the square and take a microphone.
"Attention ladies and gentlemen! We're kicking off another edition of Luna Nova's Wild Hunt, this time with a special edition featuring our new invention!" I say to everyone below, even Chum showed up, he's all in the hype wearing a Wild Hunt t-shirt cheering us on.
The ghosts are appearing and Cons is shooting with the magic cannons, which are hitting the ghosts that are coming, I kind of get a special wand and shoot them, heh, what a fucked up thing.
"Take that witch hunters! Go back where you came from! You won't be chasing us anymore!" I say trying to liven things up, but it seems that the crowd down there is not livened up at all, that's strange, can't they see? Well, let's keep going, at least this will liven things up a bit more.
We kept shooting and the ghosts kept appearing, then the students also came to help us, they were hunting the spirits with us, including many similar faces which cheered me up, one of them being Diana who still avoided me a lot, but what a thing, she was still very resentful for what ended up happening between us, I hope things will work out.
"Come on people, let's finish all these hunters and ensure the victory of the witches, for our history as witches!" I say cheering up the event more, but it still seemed as if the people down below were left without much of a reaction.
In the Croix laboratory...
POV Croix:
Now they have arrived, let's make this place more exciting and interesting around here, heh, let's see if the hunt can't be done anyway, nobody said anything about intervening with my cubes, now go kids, make this presentation worthy of a Shiny Chariot show, make your party. I
start to press some buttons, to get close with my several cubes that are making waves under the ship, and everyone starts to have more impressed reactions.
Back in Glastobury Square...
POV Akko:
Those are the same squares I saw in Appleton, when Amanda fought against the armor, they also have them here, what a strange thing, I hope nothing bad is behind it, it's the second time I've seen these things, I don't know why, but those colours and everything, give me the impression that it's not cool stuff, but I also remember seeing something similar somewhere, I don't remember where.
"And now it looks like the little cubes of evil have arrived!" I say cheering up the audience.
Out of nowhere the cubes, after making waves, end up accumulating around them, which ends up being strange, they are joining together, forming what seemed to be a dragon, I end up remembering things in my head... It was just like the dragon... The dragon in Shiny Chariot's presentation, this has some of Chariot's finger, so, I have to make it look good now.
"Cons, it's time!" I tell her who signals with her thumb.
I stand with my arms crossed right in front of the trapdoor, putting on some cool glasses, already the Cons is getting inside the boat, I notice that the trapdoor went down and I end up getting all unbalanced until I fall in the central seat, where there are all the controls, this thing is going to be more animated than everything, the ship is now starting to transform.
"For faith in magic, for the strength to believe in yourself, Mahou Suit Gran Charion!" I say that sounding like a mecha anime, now yes I will embody Gurren Laggan within me.
But when we transformed, the thing didn't move, I think that all the energy was spent in the transformation, which made the dragon hit us, almost throwing us, but luckily the girls there held us to avoid the worst and then the charge of the machine started to fill up.
"We have to believe in ourselves and beat this dragon!" I say this motivated.
The dragon comes to us and we start to dodge, this time controlling the machine is getting interesting, I'm trying to hit some punches, but also the dragon was deviating, even shooting some flames in our direction, but I use the shield and I'm feeling the tremor from inside it, while down there I see the people if cheering, until pointing the cellular one for us, we are managing, until I place the button play to start playing something and the Cons had botado the music that plays in the only one show, in that episode of the geese "The Touch - Stan Bush" then was this the name, that interesting.
"Let's finish this dragon in the name of magic, in the name of believing in ourselves, let's all go! Raise your hand to help send energies to Gran Charion!" I say that to make things more lively.
The robot is catching a bit of the dragon, but it is being a very uplifting battle in the skies, now that I am learning the hang of it, the charge doesn't even seem to drop, we are really managing to make things livelier, thanks for bringing this opportunity Chariot, everyone is loving it.
The dragon well with everything with a bite, this time I take it with my hands holding it tight and we go kind of doing this holding it tight, I start spinning and throw the dragon into the skies, then we go flying towards the dragon itself where I hit a slash with Gran Charion's sword, only in this one the dragon breaks in two he ends up regenerating both halves.
"The dragon is more powerful than we think, be careful! Send in more energy! We'll be able to defeat this thing!" I say cheering and watching the children jump gives me a feeling I'm managing to be like Chariot, I knew she would show up at some point proud of me.
In the Croix laboratory...
POV Croix:
How wonderful, they are succeeding, the Gran Charion's plan even worked, something a bit cliché, but I liked the use of a Mecha and it seems that the public is also getting excited, it's much more fuel for you Noir Rod, now yes we will really conquer the world with this, congratulations, all that is needed to continue is to cause more emotions, it seems that the positives are rising sharply and the comments are coming in droves.

POV Akko:
Now I'm trying somehow to defeat the dragon, but no matter how many pieces I cut off, it always comes back to its senses, it looks like I'm going to need a lot of energy even, the people filming are cheering more, they're even gathering more and more around here in the surroundings, what a thing.
"Come on, people! We can defeat this dragon! - I say cheering up the audience.
The dragon goes flying, trying to hit the people down there, but I pass with Gran Charion using the sword and cut it in the middle, which everyone gets excited with the approach of the huge machine, you see Chariot, I can also cheer the audience! I hardly wait to be worthy of seeing you, that was quite a gift, soon the dragon regenerates and the energy is reaching a peak, almost reaching the total, we just need a little more.
"Send more power! We're about to defeat that dragon! - I say cheering more and people raised their hands, where I saw it as if it was an effect like in Dragon Ball when they send energy to Goku's Genki dama.
The dragon kept going up, sending the fire blows, but we were defending ourselves, it wasn't being any problem, then I punch the dragon right in the front that makes it kind of fly forward, now with all the energy charged it's time to do that. I
point my hand up, using the magic blaster, which ends up releasing all the energy going towards the sky, which I am amazed, this thing is all powerful, causing a whole flash, so much that Charion lands by the intensity of the shot, After landing the Gran Charion it returns to the ship shape and I appear in the prow to everybody.
"That was the special edition of our wild hunt, hope you enjoyed it - I say that with all the effects popping up all around and everyone was clapping for us.
I was feeling all like Chariot, people like my presentation, they like how well I am doing, I am finally understanding how she passed, I swear that was one of the best moments of my life, the girls of Luna Nova also clapped, happy that the hunt was a success, so much that they went up in the prow what afterwards everybody kind of bowed granting some clapping from everybody of Luna Nova for our show.
Then we take the ship and go back to Luna Nova, where it starts to fall, but luckily Cons managed to make an emergency landing in time, almost hitting the academy and causing worse damage.
"Whew, we almost destroyed Luna Nova" I tell them all.
"Look today was great, the idea of the giant robot was really cool Cons, so that was the surprise you kept for us," said Amanda.
"Well that was it, wow I felt like Chariot now, everyone loved our performance" I say happily.
"Only Chariot was a temporary fad" Hannah said.
"Come on, Chariot may have been, but she captivated the audience somehow" Diana said, which even shocked me by her speech and everyone around her
"What you mean Diana? - I say confused.
"Ah I'm just saying, it's a way that can work, the children love it, but they end up discovering that magic isn't just something tae play with, it's serious stuff, ye have tae understand these things, before they end up getting frustrated and discovering the reality of magic" She said turning back to Diana.
Then everyone sort of split up, each going their own way, while Croix came up to us clapping, we seemed to have managed to impress her enough, she was all proud of us.
"Well done girls, you did very well today" she said to us.
"I just wanted to impress, like Shiny Chariot used to do in the presentations, it's cool to do a Mecha fight with a dragon, if we do more of those, we can captivate more people to know the magic Professor Croix"
"Well if you mind I can talk more alone with you Akko, as for you Constanze, excellent work and a very good grade will come for you in my subject" She said and I agreed with my head.
I was walking in the corridors, all jumpy and excited, but halfway I saw teacher Ursula, these days I've been forgetting how she's been spending her days, I'm not even showing up at her classes... What a thing, I think I need to see her again, poor thing, she was the kindest teacher after Croix.
We arrived at her room and she was clapping her hands for me, while I was confused, it seems she must know Chariot from somewhere.
"Excellent Akko, very good, I just really wanted to talk to you about a subject that you have made me very curious, I have never heard in years a girl mention about Chariot" she said.

"Ah that's a lot of questions, but I would answer them quite happily, we would say I know she is closer than you think Akko, but now is not the time to reveal that, I still have to find out better, as for her whereabouts, I only know that she disappeared 10 years ago, well they were even nice times, until some things happened... Chariot was like a loved one and very much by me... We'd say we were once girlfriends" She said and I got a look on my face, I can't believe she's an ex girlfriend of Chariot's, ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.
"That's amazing! I'm going out now teacher, I don't want to be able to bother you with my questions, but thank you so much for your answers yay!" I say to her all bouncy.
"Ah Akko, you can come here to talk to me whenever you want, I know a lot about that time, I will not bother to provide any information or history of that time" the teacher said to me.
I went walking all hopped up after knowing these things, I can't believe I met Chariot's girlfriend, she likes girls like me too, how amazing, so it wasn't a coincidence that I discovered my side of liking women when even my idol appreciates it, heh, what a fuck, I love these things.
POV Ursula:
I saw and heard everything hidden in mouse form before Croix ends up revealing too much, so much so that I was walking to leave, but it seems she noticed me there.
"You can go back to normal, I know you heard everything Chariot Du Nord," she said as I turned back into human form and stared at her, flashing her that charming smile.
"Good thing you didn't reveal anything to Akko" I tell her who shrugs.
"I knew you would see and even intervene if I said something, she is not ready to receive the news, I still have to gain more of Kagari's trust if I want to be of any use, after all she is Claiomh Solais' chosen one, as always choosing the worst witch to have on hand" She said and I was already a little offended, even tapping my foot on the floor.
"Don't talk like that about Akko! At least have respect for her, you still resent Shiny Rod even after years, get over this Croix, stop being so bitter, it's this hate and envy of yours that will bring you down" I tell her and she shrugs.
"Look how cute, it seems that you really care about your student, or is it a feeling of guilt, she is obviously one of those affected by the Dream Fuel Spirit..." I even put my hand over her mouth and she licked it a few times, leaving me all embarrassed.
"Don't talk about it again! I don't want you to mention it in any way to Akko or any other girl affected by it! Leave us alone Croix!" I tell her and she laughs sarcastically, as if she's a villain, she's not being the same Croix as before.
"I will not disturb you little cherry, you can rest assured, I don't want you and your ward to be afraid of anything, I just want to achieve my goal of changing magic and that's all, no big deal, if Claiomh Solais didn't choose me, then I will on my own unlock this path myself and manage to change magic by my technology, come on, you know I didn't do anything wrong, after all you also helped a lot back there remember" she said and I again stamped my foot.
"The last time you said that my career was over and I became an outlaw for magical justice for crimes I didn't commit but was manipulated into committing, sometimes I miss the Croix you used to be in the past, if I knew what a monster you'd become I never would have dated you back then, nor accepted your help"
"Without me you wouldn't last in Luna Nova, without me you wouldn't have Claiomh Solais, without me you wouldn't boost your career and even perform in Japan, without me you're nothing Chariot Du Nord!" she said already feeling sorry for herself.
"Without you I lived the quietest 10 years of my life! Stop being so abusive Croix, we haven't been in a relationship for 10 years and you still act as if I'm your property" I tell her, who gets a bit crestfallen and then I just leave her room.
But some tears also fall from me, to think that in these 10 years Croix still has the bad things that made her a worse person, she was always like that, but I was blinded by a love, a love that even my mentor believed would be something that would work... Better not to think about these things and move on Chariot, you are more than Croix, you don't depend on her and never have, get stronger.
POV Croix:
Am I really doing the right thing? Chariot is still resentful and very much towards me, this plan will change things for the better but at what cost? I am feeling every day that I am losing Chariot and the worst of all is that she would never come back to me, I have even less chances now, but I have to follow the plan, or else nothing will change, I have to do as we planned, the magic will soon change and I have confidence in that.
"I love you Chariot Du Nord" I whisper very softly and then head off to my lab, to admire Noir Rod.
Now yes the Noir Rod is in a much more advanced state, it already has 25% of the energy, a little more and I will have the necessary to pierce the seal of the Grank Triskellion and thus change once and for all the magic in the world, I believe I can manage to do that and bring the best for all, I may sound evil, but I am not, I am for the noble cause.
Back there everyone judged me for using magic and technology, I was pushed by traditions, I was even pushed to be a son that the Meridies wanted to have, but I ran away from home and I could be myself, a pity that even so, they still continue to belittle me, they still continue to ignore the innovations that magic with technology can bring beneficial to the world, but one day I will fulfill my wish and Woodward will know that he was wrong not to have chosen me as the carrier of the Claiomh Solais, I should be the deserving one.
POV Narrator:
And the wild hunt ended up causing a bit of a hit among the townspeople, which guaranteed plenty of fuel for the Noir Rod thing, which is oddly enough a plan by Croix so that he can somehow break the seal of the Gran Triskellion which according to legend is a magic that would be able to change the world, but only opens up with the bearer of the Claiomh Solais revealing the seven words, but driven by envy Meridies wants to change everything to be able to make that change herself.
