POV Narrator:
Tuesday, 4 September 2018, Luna Nova
The classes are back, after the long summer holidays and Luna Nova, is already with the presence of new students, some that came from abroad, others that were still in the intermediate school, but starting to enter in the final school, focused in magic, Akko, gets to know well one of these students, finding out that Hellene is Diana's sister, which was quite shocking, mainly because Cavendish still has no idea that she is the girl's sister, even thinking that she is another one of the new students. The
next day was marked by the return to classes, where Akko was able to understand what was being taught and how it was not yet a practical class, but they were boring classes for the Japanese girl who was almost sleeping in class and with them coming to the end, Kagari takes the opportunity to mingle with the girls that are Hellene's colleagues.
POV Akko:
Today it was boring, but I can't do anything, it's always been like this in Luna Nova, anyway, I was eating with the girls, for the first time in the year, I hope that this time Sucy doesn't put a potion in my hair, leaving it with a plant, like she did last year, I soon finish eating the potatoes and I had forgotten that here there is nothing else, I don't know how I didn't die of malnutrition in Luna Nova.
"You two keep staring at the novices" Amanda said.
"I just want to get along with them, they seem nice" I tell her.
"I'm staying here, Brooke is in the middle of them, I'm the one who won't go near her, after what happened tae me" said the stubborn Cavendish.
"Come on Diana, it'll be cool" I tell her even holding her hand and she turns her face away.
"If Brooke isn't in the middle I'll go, if ye want tae ye go" Diana said with her arms crossed.
"And you girls, do you want to go with me?" I ask them and they all nod their heads.
I get up after finishing eating, take my tray to the tray table, then I walk towards the new girls, I see that they are kind of showing a strange dice, I sit next to them just to talk a little.
"Oh hello, you must be the new girls around here, my name is Atsuko Kagari, but you can call me Akko" I say smiling.
"Ah this is Akko, she is de one who 'elped me to come 'ere" Hellene said pointing at me.
"Oh I know her, she saved Luna Nova from that missile falling here, along with Diana Cavendish, I was still a tween when I saw them fighting the missile, it was amazing to see, at the same time it must have been scary" Said the dark haired one.
"Sorry for interrupting your conversation, I just wanted to have a chat and get to know you better, you seem to be good people to make friends" I say scratching the back of my neck.
"Oh, we could really use someone else, we're talking to the girls about how a roleplaying game works" Annabel said and I kind of miss her being here in Luna Nova.
"I can't believe you're around here too Annabel, but wait a bit RPG? Like a rocket launcher? You guys are going to bring a weapon like that here? It's going to blow Luna Nova to smithereens" The girls are starting to giggle all around, I guess I just didn't get what they meant by RPG.
"Oh no, Akko, we're talking about other RPGs, do you accept to join our group, we'll sort of start to put our ideas together, you can call Lotte and Barbara too, we'll make a sort of Night Fall themed RPG, I'll be the table master and you guys will make your characters based on Night Fall, just make your attributes right and it'll be fun" she said and my head just exploded.
"Calm down, I don't have the slightest idea what this is like, explain it to me in a way an idiot would understand" I say scratching the back of my neck.
"I explain it's quite simple it's even fun" She said and I imagine it is.
"Before we go we can call de lassies to come 'ere" Hellene said and I nodded my head in agreement.
We both got up from the table, which was already a great idea for us to make Hellene also approach Diana, so who knows we can build the truth, I'm kind of happy, there are very familiar faces there, we arrived in the middle of the girls and kind of the girls were still talking among themselves.
"And who are you?" Amanda said as she chewed a piece of gum.
"I'm Hellene McLaren, from first year, we've come to call Barbara and Lotte" Said the redhead even getting a bit awkward as she looked at her sister.
"Annabel Crème is studying here girls, did you know and she is doing a RPG table, she called you to join, I have no idea what it is about" I tell them.
"Oh a Night Fall RPG, I've always wanted to take part in one" Lotte said all delighted.
"Go ye lassies, I'm nae staying here while that Brooke lassie is around" Diana said and I even look at how similar the two are up close, wow, now you can see that Hellene and Diana are really sisters, they are very similar, the beauty is amazing, but soon one of the girls arrives.
"Then you can go, I'm not going to stay and give you a hard time Diana" When we looked back it was Brooke herself with her arms crossed staring at her.
At that time even I froze, for the nine witches, they are going to fight, Diana even gets up, she stares at her closely, at the same time Hellene appears in the middle of the two, kind of pushing them away, the real sister and the fake sister close to each other, what a tense thing.
POV Diana:
This lassie wants tae fight with me, I stare at her closely, but I hold myself together, I'm nae going tae lose my pose by arguing with her even though I want tae sink my hand into her face, especially since her friend keeps blocking her.
"Woah, sort yourselves out you two, without getting into a fight" Said the redhead.
"I want to sort it out actually, listen to me Diana, you can at least listen to the truth" She said and I just take a deep breath.
"Say it then" I've had enough.
"Here in front of everyone anyway?" she said and I just nodded my head in agreement.
"Or else don't talk, I'm already around here with ye Brooke, ye and mum have destroyed me" I say furiously.
"The mother you say so much about... That mother... She... Diana... I'm not your sister! I do not have the same blood as yours! Daryl lied to you, my mother was paid to lie and act that way, we had no choice ... It was either that or risk our lives. She threatened both of us. We had to pay her to make up this fake story. I'm not Bernadette's daughter. I'm that guy's daughter" She said, getting it off her chest, but I can't believe it.
"And why should I believe someone who has worked fae Daryl before? What makes me trust ye?" I tell her.
"What makes you confident is that I am the one who has reason to be angry with you girl, my mother was murdered because of you! She gave me the money to study in Luna Nova and have my life, when I least realize I get the news that my mother was found lifeless in an unknown alley, Diana! Your wretched aunt, because of you, killed my mother, I might end up with my father's custody if he is released, do you have any idea of the cruelty I went through in his hand? I'm not lying to you, if I was lying I wouldn't come to settle accounts with you, your other mother must be someone else, but she's not my mother and neither am I" Brooke said tae me and I was beginning tae believe.
She then goes on tae show me some pages of newspapers, where it revealed that really Kimberly Hunter was killed, including even a medical karyotype test, revealing that she has XXY chromosomes, sae in reality she did nae come from my mother Bernadette... As far as I know the fertility stone cannot produce Y chromosomes, that means she is nae my sister... She then shows what looks like a DNA test and it turned out tae be negative, both tests.
"See, I have proof here, one I took from your hair while you were sleeping, I knew the bomb would go off at some point, so I was already providing proof to tell you... Kimberly Hunter is not your mother, I'm not your sister," Brooke said, and at this moment I broke down.
"Sae... Then..." I go walking backwards, I was feeling something a bit bad taking over me and then I leave running in the middle of all of them, feeling even ashamed.
"Diana!" the last thing I hear is Akko calling.
I go running without direction, I arrive in a corridor, feeling extremely ashamed, all that mess was a lie, I feel bad fae everything that happened, guilty that Daryl killed someone's mother because of me, I am a waste in this world, I can't believe that because of me people are suffering and even dying... By the nine lesbian witches... I leaned against a wall, I started tae sit on the floor, crying and devastated, I felt horrible fae all of this.
"I couldn't help but follow you, I saw that it got really bad, so it wasn't your fault, you know... I can't believe it"
"I still feel bad Ak... Who are ye? Why are ye following me and looking at me? Since yesterday ye haven't taken your eyes off my person" said the purple-eyed redhead who even felt a little intimidated by my speech.
"Calm down sis... diana, i 'eard yooehr cahnversation, we 'ave to fex dis daryl, you are naht guilty o' all dis, she is, you ded nahthin wrahng, you know... i'm sahrry fahr arrivin wethooeht intrahducin myself, boeht i'm Hellene McLaren, new student o' de first year" She said holding my hand tae help me tae stand up.
I even resist a little, but I hold the lassies hand, she helps me tae stand up, I feel something very strange in this grip, as if it gives me comfort, something familiar, I even look at her face more closely, she is beautiful... I'm nae going crazy fae the lassie... I have tae control myself, but the name gave me comfort, she is the daughter of that Laura McLaren, I remembered now, that must be it.
"I know you've only joehst met me, but..." I dinnae even let her complete, I just jumped into a hug, that's all I needed, but deep down, I saw Akko there, she looked at everything, I hope she dinnae think anything wrong.
"Wait a minute Akko it's not what it looks like..." I say all flushed and she went with a smile on her face.
"Sorry about that" Brooke said.
"We 'ave to go after fecking Daryl, it's not Diana's fault what happened, just because she exists... It's the damned one who pulled the trigger, she who was the dishonest one" Hellene said and she dinnae need to defend me so much.
"I agree with you, let's get together and finish Daryl off, she'll feel everything she's done" Brooke said putting her hand in the middle.
The four of us are putting our hands together too, then we give a group hug which made me relieve all the tensions around me, in the end Brooke was right, we get a big smile on our faces, I think I was very wrong, I even apologize tae Brooke, but I really still feel bad, because of me, Daryl is causing the terror, on the other hand she opened again something for me tae do about my mother, the chances are that it's another lassie, I hope I can find out again, but anyway, we'll get along fine.
POV Akko:
It was tense, but at least now Diana knows that it was all just a set up, you can see that she is getting up more, feeling better, I think this might help her to stay up more, I thought it was too cute the sisters hugging for the first time, the most ironic thing is that Diana still has no idea.
"So Diana, will you want to join us at the RPG table? - I ask her.
"Aye, I want tae, I've always wanted tae, I've never been able tae play a table RPG before, Hannah and Barbara always think it's nerdy stuff, Andrew wasn't very different, nae one from my circle liked it, I want tae and a lot, I'm going tae love it" She said in a more cheerful and lively tone, she looks cute like that.
We soon got back to the table, everyone was thinking that nothing had happened and soon we sat down among the other girls, they were still discussing about the RPG, there were also Barbara and Lotte.
"Ah, now ye're going in, aren't ye? I used to say all the time that it was a nerd thing" Diana said with her arms crossed.
"It's from Night Fall, how could I not resist, I'll have my character inside Night Fall" Barbara said and Diana was just laughing.
"All right, I think now we can close this table, we'll have participants here, so you all?" Annabel asks and we all agree.
"The master will be Annabel, the players will be me, Jeanne, Hellene, Akko, Diana, Lotte, Barbara, Brooke and Mirage, is that right?" said the black haired one and I nodded my head in agreement.
"Do you know the rules of an RPG Diana? I'll explain it quickly here" said the table mistress.
"I kind of know, but explaining could never be too much" Diana said and I still don't understand anything about RPG, it would be really good to know something.
An explanation later...
Ah it seems too cool actually, we will play as if we were in a story, that's cool, I always wanted a game like that, it must be really cool, I never understood, but I think I can follow the rhythm, that's cool, now we just have to create our characters.
"Well the creation is quite simple, I left here copies of the rule books and characters for the Night Fall RPG, you will be the first to test the game, choose your classes wisely" said Annabel handing a booklet until a little thick, I was even shocked.
"All that?" I say shocked.
"There are several classes, you can be a simple warrior with swords, even a merchant, it's up to your creativity, choose well the class based on the book and putting the attributes in a way that are balanced with the class you want, study well the classes and so you can use an ideal way, the fun of the RPG is to have a character that evolves, go for me" She said and I was leafing through the book and it's pretty cool, there are several classes and everything else, I liked the idea, it seems to have several types of creatures too, I can't wait to play.
"That's what ye're going tae study fae, isn't it Akko?" said Diana teasing me.
"Oh come on, this is too cool, I can be a witch like Chariot in this game, it will be too cool" I say excitedly.
"There are several classes of witches and wizards in the game, so just choose the one you think fits more with Chariot, I think we can start playing on Saturday what do you think?" She said and I just nodded my head in agreement.
"By the way I didn't introduce myself to you Diana, I'm Marianne Leclerc, nice to meet you" said the one with black hair and red locks, she even reminds me of Ryuko Matoi.
"Oh yeah, I can draw too, I found this RPG idea interesting, ye also use some spells and knowledge from here in Luna Nova, this is very interesting, in fact it could even be applied in class" Diana said and I would love it.
"Best of all is using magic, the immersion of this game will get better than it looks" Annabel said.
I can't wait to play for real, I can't draw very well, but I can get back on track, I think I can make a cool character, we then get off the table and sort of walk towards our rooms, I can see how much better Diana is, just as we were going up the stairs, she holds my hand, taking me higher, thinking I was going up to the bedroom, we go up to the attic, where we then sort of watch the sun set on Arcturus.
"Ahhhhhh, I missed doing that, looking at the landscape in the background, having a moment with ye Akko, it's been months since we've seen each other" Cavendish said.
"I miss it too, it's good to know you're back and more excited Diana, it's like something is revived inside you, that's wonderful to see from you, but seriously, don't you feel kind of devastated that Daryl lied to you?" I say to her who shrugs her shoulders.
"I dinnae give a damn, ye know, it gives me a relief, my real mother is then another, with a different story, I can even feel relieved that it might be someone I wanted... Ye know Akko, it's a greater feeling of freedom than disappointment, the relief is greater" she said looking up at the sky.
"I hope your real mother is a really nice person and I will support you in this search, I think she might be closer than you think even, hope can never die" I tell her, I kind of already know who it is and even who is around.
"Best of all I dinnae hold that fake story as true, although that part about Daryl saying she killed my mother I fear is true, she could be capable of something like that and I dinnae doubt it, on the other hand I can imagine that the real story behind my mother must be quite different from what I heard, I still want tae believe that deep down she loves me very much" She said and I went on stroking her.
"That's right Diana, we have to have hope now, let's focus this time on achieving this, I'm sure it will be worth it to see your mother, I'm sure? Speaking of which, don't you find this Hellene a bit suspicious?" I'm already giving some hints.

"So that's it Diana, the more evidence the better as she may be a suspect" I shrug.
"Wow, me being the daughter of the game creator I'm a fan of would be the greatest irony of all, but I wonder something, she's B.C Stewart's wife, she has the same year of death and birth of my mother, the initials match, but Stewart? I've never seen this surname before, I still need tae clear this up, the Cavendish dinnae usually take their fathers surnames, Worst of all is that I dinnae remember what my grandfather's name was and the documents are all burned, which would be impossible tae know" She said and I think it must be her mother's name, I don't doubt she used a pseudonym.
"I don't know, but I do know that this sunset beside you is the most beautiful thing there is"
POV Hellene:
I 'ugged my sis and dat was so good, it was the best feeling in the world, I can't believe it, I get tae my room and I'm all jumpy, I even jump ahn my bed, just thinking about what happened now, de lassies notice my excitement and I dink they will suspect, I can't reveal to dem yet dat Diana is my sister.
"Apparently all this excitement has a name" Annabel said.
"Diana Cavendish" Complete Marianne and I was in shock, no, she's my sister, dat's too wrong.
"No! I'm not excited because of 'er, I'm excited because of the RPG, you have no idea how cool it's goin to be, I always saw something like this, my mother and my godmother played it a lot, dey did it and I dedn't understand anything, it's too weird"

"Put it on Hellene, we've already seen that your muscles are big" Mari said and I just laughed while I put it on.
"That's why we woke up with you doing push-ups, now it makes sense" Annabel said.
"I always do, I 'ave to stay strong, after all you 'ave no idea how dangerous dings are for my side" And you really don't, if I'm not strong like this there will be no way to protect Diana and my mother from Daryl.

POV Daryl:

The classes started and Diana found out that Brooke was not her sister, just as an RPG is about to start among the girls, as a way to relax in the middle of classes, besides being another way Hellene can find to get closer and closer to Diana.
