The days were going by in this countdown and Brooke was suffering constantly, she took 50 lashes in the two weeks message, in the three weeks she was branded by hot iron and was about to reach the fourth week and Daryl already had something in mind that would involve pulling out all the nails of Brooke's hand. Diana was feeling more guilty day after day, seeing her friend in that state, all destroyed, she wanted to be able to do something and the worst was that nobody could find the supposed hiding place where Daryl was, since she left a very dense forest to cover where the construction should be, confusing her even more.
The tension was huge between all of them, but there were good things, during the short time of training, a lot of improvement came to the girls group, they were getting stronger and stronger, withstanding more hits,
besides having a more efficient battle strategy, things were improving a lot, for a possible capture of Daryl. A date arrived to relieve the nerves, the Luna Nova Valentine's Day ball and this time being a real ball, the students would have a stricter dress code, having to appear more classy, since the previous idea that had during the time that Croix was there, was not sticking so much, wanting to be changed and in this, the girls had to turn to appear more classy, including the red team, with Akko very eager to participate.
POV Laura:
No! I look 'ideous like dis, I 'ate dressing like dis, I don't go with dresses, I only dressed like dis for my wedding, now with dese Luna Nova director's clothes, I look weird, Holbrooke's clothes don't fit me at all, Chariot looks at me laughing.

Until I hear knocking at the door.
"It's me Diana" she said and I went to the door opening it with the biggest smile on my face seeing her wearing the Luna Nova uniform still.
"That's weird, I thought I'd be switched" I say looking at her.
"Come with us, ye all deserve tae participate" Cavendish said and I cracked the biggest smile on my face.
"Hey, girls! We can go to the ball! Let's go to Diana's room!" I say excitedly.

The three of us walked together down the corridor, I honestly can't wait to see what's going to happen here, we walked down the corridor, I could see the girls of the most luxurious rooms coming out with their dresses, it's really envious, wedding stuff, I hope I can wear something as good as that, we entered through the door and I saw that Amanda, Constanze and Jasminka were also there, how strange, just them.
"Akko! Lotte! Sucy! You can feel free to try on any of the dresses" Barbara said being nice to me, thinking that last year they were insufferable, especially before we went to the Cavendish mansion.
"We help with fashion tips and also make-up" Hannah said.
"I don't know why I went along with it" Amanda said.
"I really don't even know why you're here, you're one of the most disgusted by this kind of thing" I tell her.
"I coaxed Mandy nicely" Ah now I know the way it was, just one thing to buyAmanda coming here.

I was soon choosing some of the dresses, seeing which one would look good on me, luckily Barbara's were the closest to my size, so I chose exactly those, I'm going to be so beautiful, for the nine witches, I can't wait for what's going to happen today, this red dress with a little bit of frills on the skirt is perfect, even more with the transparent sleeves, I'm going to wear this one without a doubt.
"Metamorphie Vestesse!" I say still enchanting the spell and end up getting the dress.

"We'll just need to comb this hair, come here Akko, I already know how to leave it" Hannah said, I just went watching Diana with the biggest blushing face, it's like I'm the prettiest one here, her getting all gay is too cute.

To dink dat Bern and I circumvented de event, we came 'ere before dey introduced de dress code, I remember well dat we danced together in a totally casual way, different from everyone else in dresses, we still drew attention for de dances, de boys from Appleton appeared, accompanied now by Paul, it was expected, he was walking all serious, de girls were looking all delighted for Bern's godson, until he was getting close to us, I was just looking at him, without him noticing me yet.
"Finally a decent ball Miss Holbrook, the girls are up to my men, now I can consider it a real event and..." He looked at me, recognised me and I gave him a sadistic little smile just to scare him even more.
"Thank you, now we are no longer under the influence of that witch, that's what we could do, it is always good to restore and maintain the good old traditions, unfortunately many people are still blind to that, well anyway, make yourself at home" said de director and he continued mute, and walked towards me.

Wow, the boys are beautiful, but I think that nothing will beat Diana, she told me that I have to wait, that she was taking more time, poor thing, she was later than all of us, anyway, I think I'll enjoy the party here, I'll go straight to the food, gosh... The music was playing, I miss the music from before that Croix put on that was more modern, now it's playing classical music, with some of the girls from the music class here with violins and everything, I think I've heard this one, it's that ballet music that keeps playing, on the side of the swans, just then I see Diana appearing on the corridor, her hair was in a braid going down the sides, with the fringes in the front loose, she was lovely, wearing a blue dress, strapless, with frills from top to bottom, the part of the skirt went to the floor, she still uses a fur scarf with white colour, enhancing everything, she didn't put almost any make up, she left her freckles showing, what I thought it was cute, the dress sleeves being a soft white transparent, just like mine, she was walking and leaving the Appleton boys enchanted with her beauty, I was too.
"Diana..." I say as I felt in my heart the aura of beauty she was passing on to me, walking with her eyes almost closed with that light blue eyeshadow and her well done lashes.
Each time she came closer I felt an aura of enchantment, but at the same time I felt far away, as if all her beauty was something unreachable, she came closer to me, I kept my mouth open, without much reaction, I can't believe that Diana stayed like this, she came close and gave me her hand.
"Akko, may I have this dance?" she said to me and I nodded my head in agreement.
"Diana, you are beautiful" I tell her who remains with the same serious expression.
She took my hand and when the music got intense she even bent me, what from there I was just really following the steps that I improvised, everybody was starting to look at us as if we were the main traction of Luna Nova, I was just following the movement, we were spinning in the middle of the patio of Luna Nova, I really don't know what to do, but let's dance according to the music, I jumped and she even grabbed my waist, I was feeling looser and looser... I wish I could be with Brooke, it's been almost a month and nothing, she is gone, I am afraid of her dying, and time is so short, I wish I could find out by myself where the hiding place is, honestly, I can't think of anything, even one of these days, it only gets worse, I just wish I could be with her, Brooke...
"Is everything all right Mirage?" Jeanne asks, while I'm still sad

We stopped dancing, everyone circled us and even clapped, our faces were close and through an extra impulse, I end up getting closer to Diana, we get closer and she pulls my waist up, since I was playing half leaning, our lips touch, then I feel her tongue and quickly we separate the kiss which we can see a very different reaction from all, the looks changed to a shock.
"What is this? Miss Kagari, what kind of attitude is this at our ball? Such depravity will not be allowed, I will have to ask you to leave" Teacher Finnelan said and I see Diana getting an angry face and even holding my hand.
"If she withdraws I withdraw too, what's wrong with kissing my girlfriend? Why dinnae ye ask the same thing fae Lotte and Frank? They are kissing right now look there" Cavendish said.
"It is different, we cannot allow this kind of conduct, one more conduct of homosexuality and you will be forced to withdraw" Girlfriend? I am shocked, I am speechless. What is Diana saying? She didn't even asked me about it

I was in shock, it was something I expected to see myself doing, but all those words, girlfriend, love... Ahhhhhhhh, that was too weird, I can't understand anything else, I just saw afterwards Diana's mum just clapping her hands until we got to the corridor, I hear Diana laughing, and laughing a lot, she was loving it all, I found it even weird, she snorts like a pig when she's like that it's the cutest thing in the world.
"Diana?" I say confused.

I won't think it's bad, in fact it's gotten much cooler, I've never seen Diana this happy, even being expelled, she's smiling, she's cheerful, I thought things would be simpler just a dance like this, I don't know what will end up happening if she'll realize what she just said or if she's just ignoring everything, I don't know if I should be the voice of reason, I want this, I want to be Diana's girlfriend.

Dis was undoubtedly de best prom I 'ave ever seen, I even felt nostalgic 'ere, I'm laughing like a pig, even snoring, I couldn't 'old back, I even got close to de teacher Finnelan who was showing de biggest indignant face with what just happened, it seems dat my daughter couldn't 'old back de emotion of being a froggy.

I love you Diana Cavendish" Akko said tae me and this time we even kissed a little more.
I have reached the furthest point possible with Akko, in just one day of dating we have already jumped tae that step, I really think that it runs in the family, mothers are just like me, I think that love between us women is always an emotional thing, but always sae good and sae magical... I hope that one day in the future I will marryAkko and we will form our family.
POV Narrator:
Valentine's Day ended up leading to things much more intense than they could have been between the girls, in a way that the love expressed by Diana and Akko overflowed everywhere like a dam breaking, they could no longer hold back the emotion and had to seal once and for all what will be a future relationship full of fruit and love, a relationship that was already being built with time between them, the love that was already a certainty between them all, now they really decided to take the lead and start this relationship.
