Saturday, 12 October 2019, Luna Nova
The days went by and the investigation was still crawling, since the interviews with the Appleton students didn't reveal anything suspicious about what was related to Mary Brooks' kidnapping, mainly because of Louis Blackwell's behaviour that until then seemed suspicious and was showing the opposite when he was behaving in a way that looked more like an incel than really a way to deliver it, In the middle of these days the classes were passing normally and Akko until then managed to keep up with the grades, in the middle of the days the things were going normally if it wasn't for the presence of someone coming to call the girls for one more adventure.
POV Akko:
I woke up in bed, on top of Diana, what a night it was yesterday, I never thought it would be the best thing in the world to spend the nights next to her like this, these weekends are the best thing in the world, she also wakes up and looks right in my eyes, smiles at me, I reciprocate with a smile and then give a little kiss good morning, how cute.

After a shower and the morning cleaning being done by the couple, both put on their uniforms andare kind of preparing to spend that morning together in the bedroom until the door knocks...
Diana went to see who was at the door, my morning with her is perfect, I wish more mornings like this, I just hear my girlfriend screaming of excitement, I think it must be someone very special, until she shows up with Mrs. McLaren who came by here, I didn't expect this one, it really wasn't a very common visit, but it's good that she comes here often in Luna Nova, I never saw a mother coming here so often, soon I'm giving her some hugs smiling.

I start to use the word and with that together we were pulling the heavy animal to a corner of the cave where later Diana also breaks some stones and starts to make some blocks to build a brick wall so that the monster won't notice us in the return, that way it will be better, besides that the sound of this thing breaking can be an alarm.
We go following the way in the cave, following carefully Laura's instructions, we got close to what seemed to be a hole, what she made us stop, that was my cue, I went using the third word and I caught the hook in the ceiling of the cave, I was the first one to jump and I noticed that everything was ok, I managed to get in a part that was a little humid, wetting a little my trousers.

"A bizarre octopus!" Hellene said in shock.
"It's nae a bizarre octopus, that's a kraken, it's one of the Krakens of Arcturus, how did we end up here" Diana said correcting her sister.
"As I expected, girls, show what you are capable of, if dings get complicated I will help, I will take care of de lighting for you" Diana's mother said.
"Mum, look at the size of this thing! Do ye really think we will be able tae defeat it?" Diana said and I see Laura shrugging.
"Show what you 'ave come for, if dings get worse I will interfere, don't worry, I know you are strong enough" Mrs. McLaren said.
"So let's go, Noctu Orfei Aude Fraetor!" I say confidently and already preparing an arrow.
"I dinnae know a flute tune yet, I'll have tae use my magic, Murowa!" Said Diana who went on to cast a spell on the Kraken.
Hellene was going up with everything, going in the hand even, dodging the tentacles that hit the floor of the cave that trembled, she was using her gauntlets to give impulse, already Marianne was kind of in the corner she seemed to have some plan in mind, she was beginning to go throwing herself in the tentacles and using the katana that she had in hands cut one of the tentacles of the creature, but quickly that tentacle regenerated and she almost was hit.
"ShinyArc!" I say shooting the first arrow at the kraken.
The arrow gets right in one of the eyes of the creature that starts screaming and at that moment I only see Hellene jumping from one side to the other, kind of trying to hold on as she can, even so she kept her balance and kept attacking the octopus, that was focusing on her, now Diana made sure to use a spell that I was wondering, it was like a glyph that she was drawing that was involving the whole creature, wow, that's interesting, it must be some kind of special attack.
"Hellen!" Said Marianne who saw her friend being attacked.
I only see then Leclerc going up without fear with the Katana she was cutting the tentacles and hitting the monster that had held Hellene who was relatively calm, when he was going to take my sister-in-law to the
mouth, Marianne arrives and cuts the tentacle on the spot, which later I see McLaren releasing the hand and going inside precisely the mouth of the creature.

"ShinyArc!" I say releasing the arrow.
"Lassies! Get out of the glyph, I'm going tae activate the spell" Diana said.
Running we were leaving, kind of dodging, the tentacles were going up, but I also activate the second word and with the axe I'm opening the way, Hellene and Marianne are already getting ahead enough, when I jumped out of the glyph I see Diana raising her hand and a cold current starts to come up to the creature, it leaves even around a bit cold, wow, I didn't expect that.
"Looks like this kraken is going to get into a cold one" I say being a jokester and see even Diana laughing a little.
"What a dull little joke love" She said and I could see she liked it, she's just hiding it.
"So unfunny that you're laughing right now isn't it frosty queen" I tell her it's just pretend.
"It's working well until Diana, dat's sure to do a lot of damage" Hellene said.
When the ice current dissipates we see that the kraken was still whole, it just ended up being covered by ice, his movements were not as agile as before, which will make it much easier, I already look at the girls, I prepare the first word, together we're kind of holding more magic, the four of us making the arrow more powerful, but the kraken was starting to heat up, which could not stay long, so I make sure to hold a lot.
"We're going to fix dis" Hellene said, clenching her fists.
"Take Diana" Marianne said taking out another Katana and giving it to my girlfriend.
"Do you always take two?" asks my sister-in-law.

"Come on bizarre octopus looks like de potato is going to roast for you" Said Hellene who went about striking the creature that was evidently irritated.
"These temptations never end, it seems the more I cut, the more they appear, is that the right way tae deal with this thing?" Diana said as Marianne held the katana in its sheath.
"Patience Diana, soon Akko will manage" Leclerc said.
"And ye're going tae leave the sword anyway, help, that's why there are more tentacles coming at me" Said my girlfriend until suddenly I see the ninja witch taking out the katana with everything and it was even causing a beam of light followed by a cut that ripped out several tentacles on the spot.
"There will be bloodsheed! Man in the mirror nods his head!" said Marianne and she actually sent this reference and even gave us a little smile.
"Why we had tae take a Weeb with us" Diana said.
"That was awesome you can talk, I've practiced that attack for years, now it's time for jack to let er rip!" Ah now that's gonna get interesting, and I'm almost there.
Marianne was starting to go higher up knocking down the tentacles with everything, Diana was helping with the ones that were coming behind, so much so that Hellene didn't even need to go up so much, she came was for me, she held the bow with me which gave even more of a boost of magic, which is going to be perfect, I was already at the limit, now when I get this right it's going to go with everything, I even felt the extra magic, this is going to be more than enough.
"Girls!" I shout to them, and they start running, even using magic to give us an impulse and teleport close to us.
"ShinyArc!" We all said together and held the arc that even came with a little more magic.
The impact gave a kick strong enough to knock the three of us together and the arrow went straight through the Kraken's head, going inside and then crumbling like an arrow, which was kind of growing a bubble inside him until he started to explode and fly all over the place dropping his blood everywhere, but at the time a shield stood in front of us, it was Diana's mother who put it in front of us.
"You could die in dis one, de Kraken's blood is kind of corrosive girls" She said protecting us and then the blood came out of the shield.
"Whew, that was a close one" I breathe a sigh of relief.
"you went until well, together and as a team you know how to deal with de kraken, now let's go, we have a stone to find" Mrs. McLaren said.
"And where is it? There's kind of no path nearby" I ask Laura.
"In de water, but I don't know how we'll get it, 'onestly I don't 'ave arms and I can't breathe much under water, we'll need to take some equipment for dat, de spell to become a mermaid is complicated to do" Wait, I have the stone here in my pocket, I was going to show it to Diana today just for a good laugh.
"I have the stone to become a mermaid" I say taking it from my pocket.
"Perfect! Now we just 'ave to extract, kind of de animals we can turn with metamorphosis spend a lot of magic, but you can use it without spending" Laura said.
"I just get a horrible thing with that spell" I tell them.
"Aye mermaids are not like in de drawings" Ms Mclaren said.

We hug her as a group, it's always fun these adventures with Diana's mum, she doesn't care so much about the rules, she even goes out breaking them in tranquility, I can't wait to be a mum like her, it's going to be so crazy, and also my mum Saori, they are the best.
Then we see her leaving, flying in the middle of the sky and waving to us, Laura is the best mother-in-law I could have really, now I think we will have a lot to do.

"It's good to always be on your guard Diana, you saw what Mum Laura went through and she's a witch from an old traditional family, she's descended from Madeleine and Kara, two of de nine witches, she's a McLaren and you saw dat even then dey put her down, who's to sayAkko, some mundane, sorry about dat Akko, but I don't know how else to put it" Well it might make a bit of sense but you never know.
POV Narrator:
The adventures in Arcturus are progressing, with more help to find out who is this witch in charge of everything that has been causing so much damage in magic, besides the discovery of the first sound of the flute, which can already change things a lot, since the transportation between places became much easier with the help of the magic of that magic flute, which reveals to be not just any object, but something very powerful.
