Sleep

Harry sighed sleepily as Sophie began to cry in the next room. He knew he should get up and cater to whatever need she currently had, but it was just so difficult. He was so tired. He loved her, he did, but sometimes…

"I have her, love," his husband whispered. "Go back to sleep."

Harry turned his head minutely towards the voice, receiving a brush of lips across his cheek.

"Thank you," he muttered and though his eyes never opened, he knew Severus was smiling.

"Sleep," Severus whispered again before leaving to care for their daughter.

Harry was asleep by the time Severus had left the bed.
