Summary: In which Harry is informed of his husband being in an accident

An Accident

Harry looked up from where he was washing the dishes at the knock on the door. He frowned and dried his hands off. He tossed the dish towel on the counter and went to answer the door.

He pulled the door open and frowned at the two Aurors.

"Yes?"

"Mr. Potter?" one of the Aurors said.

"Yes. What's going on?"

"Mr. Potter, I'm afraid we have some bad news," one Auror said.

"There has been an accident at your husband's shop," the other said.

Harry felt his heart stop and his breath catch. "Is-is he—is Severus okay?"

"He's been taken to St. Mungo's in critical condition."

"I'm very sorry, Mr. Potter."

Harry felt a tear slide down his cheek as his peaceful life shattered.
