POV Narrator:
Monday 9 March 2020, Luna Nova
After the event of The Council's presence in Luna Nova, there was the WCI going back to investigate, but until then they hadn't been able to track the presence of any of them enough, which was creating a tension in case they ended up appearing in the academy of witchcraft and a few days had passed since Valentine's day, they were normal days of class, teacher Finnelan since that news was starting to pick less in the foot of Akko, for still being discredited in what happened.
One more week of class was beginning, one of the last before the spring break that would mark the end of the second term, what brought Kagari closer to graduate in Luna Nova, going against all the attempts of delaying the Japanese girl, but that day all the students were called for a talk, since a wave of infection from Covid 19 was beginning to arrive strong in Europe.
POV Akko:
Today is the day of the important announcement, how strange, I wonder if they found those crazy cultists from The Council, it must be that because it can't be anything else, by the way this Covid 19 thing is scaring me, I wanted to go to Japan this spring, but I think my flight would be canceled, worst of all is that I couldn't come back if I went there, well anyway I want to see what the important announcement will be, I arrive at the courtyard with Lotte and Sucy, we were all lined up in teams, which was then arriving the director.
"HeyAkko, was it because of that Valentine's Day bullshit?" Amanda asks.
"I also think it might be that" I reply.
"I hope they find the culprits soon, I can't stand the tension of The Council around here, I want tae be able tae graduate soon without worrying about it" Diana said, joining in.
"But then, apart from the traumatic parts, if it wasn't for them the day would be a drag" O'Neill said.
We just stare at her, it's not the kind of thing you talk about, two people died and could die even more, this apart from Mary's blood that was used there and spread everywhere, we practically had to pay for cleaning up Appleton both us and them, they made us go back there to clean up the mess they made.
The director goes soon adjusting the microphones, we are paying attention again, now we can really know what is going to happen here.
"Very well students, we have important announcements to make, the first one is that you are warned against Covid 19, while we don't have the vaccine I want you to wear a mask here in Luna Nova, during classes and when you are in the corridors, the student caught without a mask can be severely punished, we are in a pandemic and we can't just afford it, it has already gotten ugly in China and it will not take long to arrive here in Europe, so let's be an example" said the headmistress and I kind of knew there would be something like that.
"The masks will be distributed to all, 4 for each student, they are totally cleanable and remember to keep them clean and use your magic to sterilize the mask completely, a class will be given by me to teach you how to do that" said teacher Finnelan and I thought you wouldn't be so careful.
"Now we go to the next announcement, this one is more important, the Ley lines are closed, you can't leave or enter Luna Nova until you have notice or authorization, but the important thing of all is that you are well warned of everything, because of this we will be in an isolation, but also besides closing the lines of Ley I have one last announcement, spring break has been cancelled, from the end of the second term you will go straight into the third term and we will move the classes forward just as the enchanted parade has also been cancelled, the third year students, as soon as you graduate do not return to Luna Nova, the second and first year students, you have to come back a month before the classes return and you will have to be examined, besides that you will go through a period of quarantine and isolation, if any of you has the Corona Virus that will be an immediate expulsion, now that you have been informed, please line up in the infirmary, all the students, teachers and workers will be examined and tested, if any of you show any sign we will put the person in an immediate quarantine" said the headmistress and we nod our heads in agreement with her.
Holy shit, the holidays were really canceled, now I'm really pissed, it would be two weeks of rest from these boring classes, now I'll have to stay here longer, seriously, well at least the summer will start a couple of weeks before everything else, so it might be something good, but now that I'm sad, we won't be able to go out to The Last Wednesday Society, I didn't even know that last week would be the last one, and it doesn't even let us get good food.
"Come on, no spring break what a silly virus" Amanda said.
"That's for prevention O'Neill, imagine if we all got sick here, ye look like the kind of person who wouldn't warn that they would be killed by a zombie" Said my girlfriend.
"Anyway, we will be able to start our holidays two weeks earlier in the summer, and it will be hot, so maybe by then the corona virus will have passed" I said to them.
"We have tae think positive love, ye're right" said Diana.
"Well for you it's even less worse, we still 'ave to go back to Luna Nova and wait for a month in quarantine, I hope dis disease passes before dat" said Hellene and we arrived at the infirmary all of us lined up.
"I hope none of us have covid 19" Amanda said.
"It would be impossible, it has barely arrived here in the United Kingdom, let alone here in Luna Nova" Cavendish explains.
After the examinations, they all gathered in the courtyard again and none were infected...
Well at least the exam was easy, very simple thing, to check the heartbeat, height, pressure, it was just horrible to pass the swab inside my nose, I never thought that the Covid test would have this, it's a strange feeling that gives a little agony, but at least I'm not infected, my test was negative, we were again lined up and the director got there to explain to us.
"Very well, as today was a day of exams, we will stay one day without classes, also because after that we will clean Luna Nova completely, this includes the room of each team, this is a job for you to do, but of course, before we do this, you are authorized to give one last exit to the city, But of course, before we do that, you are allowed to go out to the city one last time, to buy food from abroad and stock up, whoever has money, because from now on you will only leave with authorization and even then each food and basic supplies will be well analyzed and evaluated before we authorize the entrance, you can go, I want everyone's room clean, the teachers will visit each one's room for that" said the director Holbrook.
I breathe even relieved, I'll be able to go to the city, but first we put on masks, we started to get ready, until we had our hands clean and we started to leave Luna Nova, we left practically in piles, I really didn't expect something like this, I looked to the side seeing Diana wearing a mask and she looks cute with this purple mask with the symbol of Luna Nova.
"Well now speed up Akko, we're going tae a market further away from here, we'll make a stock that will last until the summer, but we'll also go tae a supermarket further away" she said and I nodded.
"And you girls, are you coming with us?" I ask them, and they nod their heads in denial.
"We are going to other markets, good luck with you guys" Sucy said.
So Diana and I go to the market, we speed up the flight and we even go for a run, that is until Hellene passes us and goes with everything, she doesn't even know how to play, I even thought she would go with us, but she waves to us, kind of flying towards the Northwest, while we continue to the North.
In the market...
We arrived, we landed at the market and let's get the most important thing first, and this is undoubtedly the one that can hurt us if we don't have it, we got plenty of pads, since the ones in Luna Nova are a terror, I have had to use them when I ran out and I came out leaking, at least the ones here are of quality.
"This here is superior in every way to what you have in Luna Nova" I say picking up and filling the trolley.
"Do ye have any Luna Nova pads?" Diana asks.
"Yes, the director gives pads to those who don't have them, it's kind of just for emergencies, I had to use them one day, remember when I was so embarrassed about leaking? So it was using the Luna Nova pads" I explain to her.
"That day the broom was full of blood? I feel bad that I gave ye such a scolding when it wasn't even yer fault" said my girlfriend.
"It's water under the bridge, you've changed a lot and so have I, love, today I've learnt not to use that shitty absorbent, I had to use two because just one wouldn't work" I tell her and then we went to the corridor of delights, here's where it gets interesting.
"Well now let's get comfortable, we have tae fill the carts with what we can stock fae three months, from now on we won't be able tae come back here" said Cavendish.
"I'll get the chips I like the most, today I'll spend a lot, sorry for spending so much Diana, but you know how things are" I say shrugging.
I was getting some Pringles, enough to eat on special occasions of every possible flavour, I was also getting some Ruffles, Doritos, Cheetos, Nutella, stuffed with everything that is good food here, but Diana wasn't getting so much.
"Baby I thought you were going to fill the trolley" I say confused.
"Let ye fill it up with this stuff, I'll focus on food that is good tae stock up on, that serves tae mix with what ye've been getting, we can't forget the soft drinks, when all this is over we have tae have some left over fae when we have a party, love, the graduation party will still happen even in the middle of the pandemic, if nae one gets infected" said my girlfriend and I can't wait for that either.
She was getting crates of coca cola cans, many even, my cart was already filled with more than enough candy, snacks, crisps, everything I love most processed food. Diana was the smartest, she also took bread rolls and the ingredients to make things, like bags of flour, butter, eggs, she's really stocking the most common foods, I think I overdid it a little bit.
A good while later, in Luna Nova with all the food picked up, Diana and Akko stored it in the hugepantry of the blue team's room, complete with a fridge, managing to tell the teachers that they woulduse magic to freeze, but they hide a fridge...
Well everything is in its place, it's really a lot, we arrived even before the girls here, which we could even catch, but the teachers will come here and can be a hindrance for us, well we better tidy up and pretend this is just a normal room without the technologies, hide the magic generators and the electronics, I think I will help Diana until Hannah and Barbara arrive.
"Ye can go love, I'll tidy up the room here until they arrive" said Diana.
"Your room is more work, and mine doesn't have so many things to hide, since we always come here for everything, but yours we really have to hide everything as if it were a keyring" I say to my girlfriend and she gives in.
"OkayAkko, I'll let ye help me, but then dinnae forget yer friends in yer room too" She said giving my nose a boop.
We started to do a general overhaul, first we took the electronics, we hid them in a keyring format and left them in a well kept box, then we cleaned the rest of the things as we should, wiping and sweeping, until there was a lot of dust, especially under the carpets, it was a long time since someone had cleaned this room.
"I don't think we can die from Covid, but from rhinitis I'm sure" I say laughing.
"It's been a long time since the lassies and I tidied up here, I think the last time was in winter, and it was the workers from Luna Nova who did it, I dinnae even know how tae tidy up properly" And this time my presence is important.
"The little princess needs to learn to turn around sometimes" I tell her who then hits me on the head with the broom handle.
"Little Princess is yer ass" she said with her face all closed and I was just laughing.
"Why don't you use another stick on my face" I say with a slightly mischievous face.
"Akko!" she said blushing.
We kept on cleaning and the carpets are really sad, they fill this place with dust, I think they don't even clean it properly, I knock on the window and so much dust flies out that it creates a cloud on each one of them, besides the sneezing that I get, this way they will think I have Covid, there is still a lot of dust to get out.
"Wow, no one must have dusted this off since they founded Luna Nova" I say laughing.
"I think they dinnae really clean, because the important thing is just tae go over the surface, we discovered there a secret of the employees, who would say" said my girlfriend.
I finished here with the carpets, it was a lot of dust, my fear is that there is a covid 20 here, they don't clean the carpets so much, but now this can stay without cleaning for the next 300 years, time to wipe this floor now, you can even see the mark that was left where the carpets were and the floor here, it's comical if it wasn't tragic, I don't think we will be able to move the carpets.
Until Hannah and Barbara arrive in the room, which I think might be my cue to leave Diana's room after all.
"HeyAkko thanks for the help, it was very useful the strength you gave, did you bring anything interesting for us?" Hannah said.
"Akko filled her cart with snacks, sweets and snacks" said my girlfriend.
"Just the way it has to be" Barbara said.
"Do you think this Covid thing will last?" England asks.
"I hope not, I want to be able to go out normally, especially after I graduate, Annabel said she's going on a World Tour and I want to go with her, it'll be great to be with her" Barbara said.
"I'm worried about the witch revolution and ShinyAkko, but I think it's going to be complicated, in this pandemic I don't think they will allow me to do presentations, I think I'll have to adapt online" I tell them.
"Good love, your help was good, but here we can manage on our own, you can go there with your friends, thanks for your help, love" she said, lowering her mask and I lowered mine as well, and we kissed and left the room.
I was walking in the corridors and the cleaning was going on, everyone was cleaning the corridors, the walls, even the ceiling, they were everywhere, this time they are worried about the cleaning, what they didn't have before, I go down the stairs until I get to my room and obviously there was the teacher Finnelan, she was kind of searching my room.
"Very well Miss Kagari what were you doing outside your room and why aren't you helping your classmates?" asks the teacher.
"I was stocking up on food and I went to help Cavendish, there's nothing against helping others, after all you think that's a noble action don't you? I just did it to help a dear person" I tell her and she shrugged.
"Whatever, I just searched yer room and there was nothing technological or anything out of the ordinary, anyway I'll come by in an hour, if it's nae in order ye'll have tae clean the corridors with the goblin cleaners, ye dinnae want tae do a job that will make you even more exhausted" she said intimidating me and it's not like I don't do this all the time.
I entered the room and together we started to clean the room, doing the general cleaning, luckily here there is not a whole carpet to clean, it doesn't fill with dust here, the only fear is getting a rhinitis, but if I didn't get it in Diana's room I won't get it here, besides I always clean here at least weekly.
"Oh Akko, at least you bought those cheetos with rarer flavours, didn't you?" Sucy asks and I nod.
"Look we even got Mountain Dew but that's just for our graduation party before we leave" I tell Sucy.
"Do you have Monster too? Tell me you guys got Monster?" said Sucy and I nodded.
"We didn't, but Amanda I'm sure she did, besides we're making Diana's room a pantry for most of the things we're going to eat, now let's focus on what's important, time to clean up girls" I said to them
An hour later...
The teacher arrives and wow, I've never cleaned the room as much as I did today, if I'm going to have a virus around here I think it's already dead or it's going to be the most resistant virus in the world. She as always was being the most damned, analyzing every thing, but soon she finished seeing things and didn't leave with a dirty finger, I want to see her wanting to punish me.
"Decent even Miss Kagari, of one thing I cannot deny, and that is the fact that you would make a great housemaid, your cleaning qualities are really high class, I don't know why you don't become a housemaid instead of insisting on this of being a witch" She said.
"In the same way that you insist on being a homophobe even though you know that your daughter comes from the fruit of a romance with a woman, but you will deny it until it's no more" I tell her who remains silent.
"Atsuko Kagari!" she said angrily.
"What? You think I don't know these things? Diana confides these things to me, if you stop being a homophobic idiot I won't spread them around" I tell her with a malicious expression.
"I will honestly let it go, don't you dare spread lies about me" She said threateningly.
"Don't you keep oppressing me, it's so easy when you've been stepping on me all these years, now you don't want to act with humanity with me? I just ask for respect," I tell her, leaving the room and leaving me alone.
I start to see her leaving looking at me with a frown and honestly I don't give a damn, I just want to see her pay an hour for all this, I just really wanted to be in peace, I don't even want to be an enemy of the teacher, but sometimes it seems she does it for asking.
Soon we're going to take a nice rest, now that everything is ready my body is very sore, I can't stand the pain anymore.
"Whew, we're done" I say relieved.
"Oh Akko, and now that there is this covid thing, how do you think we will be able to communicate? After that I will have to go back to Finland, or stay here maybe, Frank has been nice lately, I think I can spend some time with him" Lotte said.
"We'll make our own way, best of all with no Luna Nova restrictions, I'll definitely stay in the UK, possibly stay here with Diana, we'll take a sabbatical year, and this pandemic was the opportunity for that, I'll use it to study more the ShinyAkko's presentations, when this is over things will be better for sure" I tell them.
"Good luck with all that Akko, you will need it, by the way I think I will stay here after I graduate, I want to be Lukic's substitute, who knows, maybe I will be one step ahead of your revolution, it may not seem like it, but I believe in your fight to change things, I don't think it's right to continue like this, I just stay and look neutral to get the impression that I am on their side, but in reality I make it easier for you" Sucy said.
"I always knew you were with us" I tell her who nods in agreement.
"I just want you to be more tolerant of my poisons, and potions - She said and I even get the look on my face, of course the Sucy way.
"What do you say we go to the blue team's room afterwards and play?" I ask them.
"I prefer to stay here, I want to go back to making potions" Manbavaran said.
"I'm staying too, there's not much reason to go, I want to read volume 368 of Night Fall, that's going to be a special one, it came out yesterday and Annabel has already given me a copy, I can't wait to see what's in it" As always them having their own things to do.
I sort of grab my phone and go through it, I open twitter, open discord and see there are some messages from Holly, she's talking about closing the Chariot museum for summer visits and how frustrated she is that this Covid 19 got in the way of her plans, but it's with good reason, I can imagine how tense that must be.
"And so Akko, when do you intend to marry Diana?" Lotte asks.
"Married?" I say half blushing.
"It's getting married, me and Frank have already said that after five years of dating we are going to get married, what about you? When are you getting married?" Lotte asks.
"If the revolution happens we'll get married, but if not we'll get married as soon as the pandemic ends in reality, I just really want to have a quiet life with Diana, maybe in the future we'll have our children, who knows, it will be really good, I love it" I answered to Lotte.
"Ah that would be very good indeed, I also want to have children with Frank" Yanson said.
"Bleh, you two are full of romance and family, I just want chaos anyway, maybe, well maybe I'll even think about the idea of being a mother, but not now, I'm young for these things, I want to enjoy life" Sucy said.
"Kiss some girls too" I say in a provocative tone.
"That too, but I don't know, I just want to make some potions and play with my friends" Sucy said to us.
"And what name have you thought of for the child?" Lotte asks.
"Most probably a girl will be born, we will name her Bellatrix, it was Diana's choice, but that's five years from now, I will still be 18 this year Lotte, it's funny to know that you two are already grown up and I am the only one with 17 of us three" I tell them.
POV Narrator:
And Akko keeps talking to the girls about future plans, to pass the time until Diana sends the signal to Kagari saying about her room being clean and also having done all the inspection inside it what Cavendish is already almost finished with her friends and escodnando all the most technological gadgets with her, such as pretending to keep the food in a refrigerated pantry that she created, but that in the most part will be used an ordinary refrigerator like any other.
Away from there at The Council's hideout the celebration was raging as soon as they heard the news about the ley line being closed and the pandemic getting a start since they had a hand in it, after the boss told them and everyone got excited.
"Finally, I was waiting for this" said the leader.
"And now what? How are we going to do it? Ley's lines are closed" Said the other member.
"The invasion will still happen, I have a way to circumvent this and still bring them to Luna Nova, I did not come unprepared, but anyway that's it, the pandemic worked, now we have a panic that will last at least the whole year, do not doubt it, let's just wait for humanity to get over with the vaccine while we are already immune" said the boss.
"Now we just have to go with the creature" said the leader.
"Let's leave it for graduation, they will have a very surprising graduation, meanwhile I have a plan, I'll sabotage some of the students there, we'll say that thanks to my contacts I can get in there and spread terror" said the boss with a huge smile on her face.
"What are you going to do?" asks the leader.
"We would say that now it is time to get down to business, I will infect some students with Covid 19, especially one that will not be able to graduate, my intention will be this to keep things there as they are until our arrival" Said the boss and the members of The Council even look with strangeness.
"But why do that?" One of the members asks.
"Because I want them to languish in pain, a single shot of the creature is not deserved, especially the Japanese one, I want to see her suffer being expelled and getting sick, dying, she will suffer until her last days, it will be wonderful" said the boss to the members who nodded in agreement.
"Oh then that's good for us, I hope the mission can be accomplished then, from what we have seen Covid can be deadly indeed" Said the leader.
"And that variant will be, I will infect one of the employees who will cough right on Kagari and with that she will get sick and infected, she will never be able to come back and fulfil her idiotic dream of being a witch,
she will die without being a real witch hahahahahaha, even the witches are disgusted with her, would be very" Said the boss.
"It really is surprising that someone like that got to be a witch, but don't you think she at least deserves to have a witch punishment to suit herself?" The leader of The Council asks.
"It would be comically funny, but let's let the witches have a little bit of honor in thinking that the girl didn't die as a witch, just like her friends, those will die as witches, let's make them burn, those we'll get a weaker variation of the covid, but that already earns an expulsion, I was spied by Luna Nova to collect this information" said the boss.
"We really have a valuable boss here, you really help us with everything," said the leader proudly.
The boss then left the meeting room and went to where Mary was training and she was walking and shooting showing how she was advancing more in training, practically becoming a machine, she was by far the most dangerous of the members of The Council, she was advancing more and after the training she left with only a scratch on her shoulder.
"Damn, I have to get better with pistols, but I'm managing to come out more unscathed," Mary said verry concentraded in the training for shooting.
"Look at that improvement, that's how I like to see creature, you are managing to improve your level more, I told you a good training run would help" Said the boss.
"I just want to get better soon, I'm not perfect, I'm still making mistakes" Brooks said, kind of frustrated.
"You're getting better, just keep training and soon you'll have your long-dreamed revenge and freedom" said the boss and the blue-haired one just smiled with a very mischievous looking face.
"I want the satisfaction of running down a corridor full of armed witches and see how far it goes" She said with a sadistic smile.
Then the boss eventually leaves Mary alone and goes to ditch the boss's base, she kind of goes to the place where she usually hides, without revealing much of her identity.
Covid 19 arrives in Luna Nova, but not with encouraging news, since the school has isolated itself from everything and everyone, taking the holidays to advance the end of classes as well as promoting the total isolation of all students to prevent infections and the policy of expelling anyone who is ifected, which has already opened a huge alert in Luna Nova
