"Copen, your my brother and I care about you. So I really don't want to do-" but Naomi got cut off by Copen firing a Bullit at her.
Naomi used her sword like a baseball bat and hit the Bullit back at Copen. The Bullit was lodged in the left side of his chest a centimeter away from shattering his fourth rib on his left side. Naomi suddenly got an idea. Naomi used her sword after turning it into a grappling hook to take the gun from Copen's left hand and used it to slice the gun in half.
"Now you can't attack me, not even your armor can protect you for long." Naomi announced.
Copen grunted in response.
"All I ask is simply that you'll give Lola back. Ever since your previous battle against Gunvolt last week, she thinks you're the one who created her. I also want you to stop trying to kill Gunvolt! Since when has he done anything to you!?" Naomi pled.
"But he-" regardless of what Copen had to say, Naomi cut him off.
"You have to stop! Listen, what Zonda said was true! You probably don't want to admit it, but it's true! Mytyl's an Adept! The kind of person you've been fighting against. The kind of person you've sworn to kill. But she's also your younger sister. Your frail, weak sister you've vowed to protect. So, your amoeba sized brain doesn't know how to process the information." Naomi exclaimed.
Copen hated to admit it, but Naomi was right. He didn't want to kill her, but she was an Adept. Copen swore he would fight until the last Adept drew their final breath. Naomi dropped her gun and kicked it to Copen who picked it up.
"Shoot me." Naomi demanded.
Copen's eyes grew wide as he looked up at Naomi.
"What did you say?" Copen asked.
"Just shoot me okay!? If your going to keep doing what your doing, you might as well just kill me. I, I promised our father, that I'd never tell you this. But, I guess some promises are made to be broken. If you kill me, at least that's one less Adept you have to kill." Naomi answered.
"Your!?" Alas, Copen couldn't say more because the other words were stuck in his throat.
Both of his sisters were Adepts. He had been living with Adepts his entire life. He didn't know what to do. The only thing he could think to do at that moment was cry. And that's exactly what he did. He fell to his knees in emotional defeat and cried. Suddenly, a boom of thunder echoed as the rain started falling.
"Copen, please tell me you aren't crying." Naomi sneered.
Copen didn't respond. Naomi rolled her eyes and walked over to him.
"Come on, we'd better get that wound dressed before you get an infection or something." Naomi retorted while putting her left hand out.
Copen accepted Naomi's offer and grabbed her hand. Naomi pulled Copen up and grabbed her gun. Afterwards Naomi slung Copen's right arm over her shoulders in an attempt to help him walk. Naomi then walked up to the HQ building and swiped her employee card and used the elevator to get to the tenth floor.
"I've got a 14-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest!" Naomi exclaimed while setting Copen down on the couch.
"I'll go get my first aid kit!" Quinn stated.
"I hope you've got some medical grade tweezers and some alcohol in there!" Naomi shouted.
"Talk about a medical drama." Copen muttered.
Gunvolt walked over to Copen.
"Kill me now why don't you?" Copen interrogated.
"Huh? Why would I kill you?" Gunvolt wondered.
"Why wouldn't you? I've been trying to kill you for a while now and since I'm injured you have a better chance at killing me." Copen responded.
"I'm back!" Quinn yelled.
Quinn got out a syringe with a needle that appeared to be filled with a transparent liquid.
"Now this is going to feel a little cold at first and your going to feel a pinch." Quinn asserted.
Copen turned around, closed his eyes, and winced when Quinn gave him the novocaine injection.
"Baby." Naomi whispered.
"Okay, hopefully you won't feel me extract the Bullit." Quinn worried.
Copen kept his eyes shut and his head turned. Naomi walked out the room then took the stairs to exit
the building and went for a walk all while nobody noticed she left. Naomi turned a corner and saw three men talking. One of them had blond hair, another one had brown hair and the last one had black hair.
Naomi went to turn around but when she did, someone noticed her presence. The blond-haired man turned around. Naomi noticed upon further inspection that she saw the symbol Jeremy warned her about in his eyes.
