Now the adventure continues.

Explosions rang across the battlefield as Natsu and Mira stood at the front. "There seems to be no end to these guys," Natsu shouted as he punched another away. "We beat one. Five more, show up," he screamed.

"we can get through. We have to break through the defensive," Mira shouted. The ground erupted as five dragon-like figures appeared. God, Serena landed on the ground, "Who's this nut case."

"We meet at least Dragonborn," God Serena laughed. "I am the strongest wizard in Ishgar, the mighty, the ultimate God Serena," he screamed, doing several poses.

"Didn't I use fairy law on you," Laxus asked. "Talk about a quick turnaround."

"thanks to my ally Irene; she gave me more power," he laughed. "Now die," he screamed, "{Purgatory Drakon's: Blazing Inferno}."

"I needed a snack," Natsu shouted as he consumed the flames.

"right where I want you," God Serena laughed. "Now take this {Sea King Drakon's Encircling Deluge}," he screamed, blasting Natsu away as Meredy blocked it with snow.

"This guy is using two elements at once," Meredy shouted.

"not just two," God Serena smiled, "{lighting drakon}."

"oh, come on," the pair called when the ground shattered around them as Gildarts landed in front of them, stopping the attacks as Natsu looked in glee "What took you so long, old man."

"Sorry, had to go to the bathroom," Gildarts smiled.

"Natsu, Lucy," Cana smiled. "You two all right."

"yeah, we're fine," Lucy smiled.

"you again," God Serena growled "as Much as I want to finish off you and the lighting drakon, I was given direct orders to take the Dragonborn" A sinister grin grew on God Serena's face as his eyes turned black. "Now you will do as I say and get out the hell of my way," he screamed, "and bow before you, drakon god" Red energy flew around him. "Now fall as I show the power of the ten drakons."

Gray, the ice devil vs. Invel, the Winter General.

"ten," Lucy shouted.

"get back," Gildarts shouted as he slammed the ground, as everything around them shattered. "Laxus"

"on it" Laxus shouted as he jumped up "{lighting drakon: breath}" he screamed. God Serena smiled as he took Laxus's attack ".What."

"I'm even stronger than I was when we fought last time tenth," God Serena smiled, "but you are still weak from our last clash." he screamed "{Gale Drakon's Tempest of Snow, Moon, and Flowers}" he shouted.

"Laxus, look out," Cosmos shouted as her vines jumped in front of him.

"Cosmos"

"not just me," Cosmos smiled.

"{fairy machine gun Leprechaun}" Evergreen shouted.

"{baryon formation}" Bickslow shouted.

"{Dark Écriture: Destruction}" Freed shouted,

"wow, the thunder legions here."

"Time to end this" Ajeel shouted "{sand world}," he screamed as a small sand tornado appeared around the group.

"Not you again," Juvia shouted, "Juvia thought she was rid of you."

"not by a long shot, fairy," Ajeel shouted.

"a real man isn't afraid to get dirty," Elfman shouted. "You guys go on ahead. I can deal with this freak," he screamed "{beast soul: Sand Beast} he called. as he turned his body into that of a Sand Beast." in this form, your sand does not affect me" he screamed as he punched Ajeel away "you guys on ahead. I'll take care of this joker, get to Mavis," he shouted.

"hey, snow witch," Wall shouted. "Time to die," he screamed.

"Remember me, blacksteel; I'm still waiting for you in hell," Bloodman called.

"damn it, they're coming at us all at once," Meredy cried as Walls rockets all vanished. Going into the sky, Meredy looked up, "Huh, that's new," she laughed. "Did I fry your circuits?"

"Those aren't the real version," Erza told her. "They must be historia's."

"so Neinhart nearby is great," Meredy shouted.

"there's so many of them," Romeo shouted.

"keep your head on your shoulders, kid" Wendy smiled

"{Spark Dragon's Augite Heavens}" God Serena shouted as Natsu jumped out of the way. "What the matter to afraid to fight back."

"Man, this guy is annoying," Natsu shouted.

"yeah, but we gotta get through him to get to Mavis," Mira told him. "Elfman can handle Ajeel, but we are running out of time."

"right," Natsu smiled. "{fire dragon kings roar}" he screamed as God Serena smiled.

"this heat your everything I heard you were," God Serena laughed.

"Man, we barely beat this guy the last time," Cosmos shouted,

"and why does he feel stronger," Laxus shouted

"Zera," Natsu asked. "We could use some help."

"hold on," Zera smiled as she appeared, "get out of our way." she screamed, "{sacred light.}" Several branches appeared, trapping God Serena as he tried to break free "You in my way. I'm going to my friend."

"what is this" God Serene shouted as the tree branched wrapped around his mouth.

"Go on, this should hold him," Zera smiled. "he's been touched by fairy law so that the branches will see him as an enemy."

"All right, let's go," Natsu shouted.

"Get back here," God Serena called 'where did these branches come from'

'that would be from me,' Zera said in his head. 'So goodbye.'

"damn it," God Serena shouted as the branches dragged him underground.

"he'll be fine," Zera smiled.

"come on, Romeo," Wendy smiled as Romeo looked around. "Now, not the time to get scared. We gotta keep fighting, right" She smiled at him as she shook his head.

"right, let's go," Romeo shouted.

On the mountain, Invel stared with anger on his face. 'So fairy tail has a secret weapon as well,' he smiled as he started to walk away. 'It no matter. They can have all the weapons they want, but it won't save them or their friends."

Mavis screamed in pain inside the pub while Zeref watched as Irene examined her. "You possess so much power," Irene whispered, "you are certainly not an ordinary girl," she chuckled. "It's amusing to think that all it took to defeat you was a silly book," she laughed. "But that's better than the alternative. Now, thanks to Invel's enslavement ice, you can no longer fight back," she explained. "Your mind is trapped under a sheet of ice, you poor little creature," she mocked. "Your one advantage over us was your tactical mind, but now that's been taken away from you, too," she laughed.

"how long will this take," Zeref asked.

"you know more than I do. This will take some time," Irene explained, "even for someone of my skill." she laughed.

"I know it's just," He looked at Mavis, who had tears running down her face. "I do not wish for her to suffer more than she has to."

"with all due respect, your majesty," Irene said. "Such kindness will not help you best, Acnologia," Irene said "he is the strongest dragon slayer, the king of all dragons," she told him. "Our hearts must be stone if you wish to take on someone of his power."

"I," Zeref sighed, "Yes, I understand. I will take my leave" he looked back one more time as he left the room.

"I wonder, though, the Dragonborn, as powerful as they are, have yet to transform; have they yet to forsake their humanity, or have they merely locked their power behind more seals" She smiled at the thought, 'What secrets could they be hiding.'

"Lady Irene," Neinhart called, pulling the enchantress out of her head. "I found her; I found Erza."

"I see" Irene, of course, already knew the girl was alive. She had seen her when she was at that palace. "And what of it."

"Well, my lady, I," Neinhart looked away, "I didn't want to move unless I had your orders."

"kill her," Irene smiled. "Her blood must spill," she gave a dark grin. "Do I make myself clear?"

"but my Historia's," Neinhart muttered in fear as Irene glared at him. "It will be done," he scuttered away as Irene sighed once she heard the door close. She looked down at Mavis.

"you," Mavis whispered, managing to get some words out, "your Erza's."

"oh, you managed to figure that out," Irene laughed. "You'll find I'm connected to many of your children," she gave a sinister grin, "and soon they will all be mine."

"won't let you," Mavis muttered.

"as long as Invel stands, you can't do anything," Irene laughed. "Soon, his majesty will have the fairy heart; I will have my kingdom and humanity." she gave a sinister laugh "Everything I lost will be restored for eternity."

"This way," Erza screamed as she cut down another group changing into her purgatory, slamming her sword into the ground 'we need to clear the way," she looked around. "I guess me and the others got separated," she sighed. "There are so many battles going on right now." she sighed. "Divide and conquer is probably the best solution" She looked at the pub sitting on top of the mountain 'hold on, master, I'm coming." she then blocked an invisible blade from Jacob.

"you're a smart one, lass," Jacob smiled, "so let's see how you deal with a real fighter."

"get out of my way," Erza growled

"Mira, be careful," Yukino shouted.

"Stay back, Yukino." Mira shouted, "Take this{soul extinction}," she called as she destroyed Wall and Bloodman as their bodies vanished. "Looks like historia's aren't as strong as the original copies," Mira wondered 'Hope you're okay, Natsu.'

Meanwhile, Natsu, Lucy, Gray, and Juvia continued their attack "{fire dragon kings: roar}" he screamed as his flames froze. "What, Gray, what the hell, man."

"That wasn't me," Gray shouted.

Hey, is it getting cold to anyone" Lucy asked?

"yeah, like chill running down my spine," Juvia muttered.

"then I'll turn up the heat," Natsu shouted as he unleashed his flames which were instantly frozen.

"what the" Natsu muttered as he was frozen solid alongside Lucy and Juvia

"What, Natsu" Gray shouted, "Lucy, Juvia, Happy."

"I see," a voice called as Gray turned to see Invel approaching him "your immune to the cold," a grin grew on his face. "Not too many ice wizards can resist my chill" he leaned his head to the side. "However," a large wave of ice slammed Gray into the wall as he screamed in pain.

"what is this" Gray muttered. "I'm feeling cold," he said in fear.

"I'm the winter general," Invel said. "You may call me Invel as my title suggests I bring winter itself," he stood over him. "now die."

"{ice make: shield}," Gray shouted. "Now {Ice make: impact}," Gray shouted as Invel stopped the attack. "What? He froze my attack."

"I see you wield Ice make magic" he looked it over. "Unfortunately for you, I control an absolute form of ice. Your ice make magic is an inferior copy of real ice magic."

"then what about this" Gray shouted d" The power to slay demons, an ice devil" Black markings appeared on his body as he rushed past him "{ice demons: zero long swords}" he screamed.

"what demon slayer magic," Invel muttered. "To think his kind would still exist," he laughed, "but I know this magic. The reason it fell off was that, much like its draconic counterpart, it has a steep cost," he wiped the blood from his face as Gray attacked him again which Invel blocked "lets makes the area a bit more comfortable for the two of us" Invel smiled as a blizzard formed around the area.

"Meredy, what is this? "Wendy shouted.

"This," Meredy looked in shock, "this isn't me," she held out her hand. "This is nice," she whispered. "Everyone watches your step. This is ice magic."

"What did you do" Gray shouted.

"I merely put us both in our element," Invel said. "Much like your snow dragon friend, I can create entire storms from ice," he looked at Gray. "I can show you how to recreate that power."

"What are you talking about" Gray shouted.

"you are a slayer," Invel said. "by definition, you are no longer human; in fact, you are closer to the abyss of sorcery than an ordinary wizard," he told him. "I can feel it. The demon blood that allows you your power. I take it you had relatives who participated in demon blood experiments." Invel smiled. "Yet it's imbalanced because you refuse to embrace the darkness inside."

"like hell I'll take any advice from you," Gray shouted. "I'll do anything for my family."

"you tell him, Gray."

"what," Invel asked as Natsu broke free from the ice 'I see so Natsu could break free. It makes sense, seeing as his majesty created him.'

"you guys," Gray smiled.

"Gray, my love, are you okay."

"we're not popsicles anymore," Happy cheered.

"What are you struggling with this guy," Natsu asked. "You're an ice demon? Just eat his attacks," he shouted; it wasn't that of a hard concept slayer against their element was an easy win.

"no way, man, it's weird," Gray shouted.

"Only the first time," Natsu told him. "Wait, you've never eaten ice before, dude. How have you been a demon slayer for two years and never tried it."

"shut up."

"focus, dorks," Lucy shouted. "We have to take this guy down," she called as Brandish appeared to pick her up. "Hey, put me down."

"Brandish," Invel asked. "What are you doing."

"taking what's mine," Brandish told him.

"I'm not your property," Lucy shouted as Branidhs squeezed her hand

"Hey, get back here with Lucy," Natsu shouted.

"Natsu" Gray screamed.

"You can handle him, Gray. Just eat the ice," Natsu shouted, "and if that's not enough, don't be afraid to embrace the monster; you're a slayer, Gray. Never forget that. Just listen to what's in your heart."

"What do we do," Juvia asked as she ran to Gray as two chains were attached to them. "Wait, what? Why do I feel so strange."

"It's called Ice lock," Invel told them. "It takes you under my control." Invel explained, "No matter what you may feel about each other, you will fight to the death," he said as Gray and Juvia looked at each other 'this is perfect. When Gray kills his comrade, he will be filled with rage; when he learns the truth, he will go after E.N.D." Invel smiled at his plan "his majesty will not kill E.N.D Gray, will I have no doubt."

'why can't I move' Gray muttered, 'No, I can't kill Juvia.'

"Gray, my love' she looked at Gray 'no, I need to fight it; I can't kill him' she looked at Gray feeling her magic power starting to activate 'if we fight and he kills me, he'll never forgive himself, so I have to do it' Juvia looked away 'to protect my love.'

'no, don't make me kill her,' Gray tried to fight it, but he couldn't. 'What am I going to do" Gray asked as he stood over Juvia, making an ice sword. I have to think,' Gray screamed.

'embrace the monster; just listen to your heart.'

My heart" he looked down at Juvia, who was trying to fight him off of her.

"Juvia"

Flashback

"I heard Phantom disbanded," Gray said as Juvia nodded. "I'm sorry." while true. They were enemies. He never wished that on anyone. Some wizards did, in fact, like being in a guild. Who was he to judge?

"No, don't be," Juvia said " Juvia is glad phantom is gone" Juvia looked away and smiled, "this past month, Juvia has learned a lot about herself now that the rain is gone."

Gray smiled, "yea, I can see."

"come on, Gray," Happy said, "it's the morning." Soon, the water spread as Juvia appeared next to Gray. "Juvia, maybe you can knock some sense into him."

"Juvia is sorry beloved," Juvia started, " she realizes now she didn't love you as strongly as she thought as tears escaped her eyes, as Gray began to come too.

"Juvia," he asked.

"you're okay," Juvia shouted with glee.

"Man, what happened," Gray asked.

"you're well again," Juvia said. "Juvia is glad you're okay."

"she loves you." Happy beamed in a teasing tone.

"I wondered why I was cold," Gray said. "I always end up soaking wet when you're around; you know I hate that,"

Gray smiled as he created a large Ice sculpture, letting out breaths of air. Standing back, he saw Juvia holding up several blocks of water. "Don't push yourself," he called to her.

"Juvia will be fine," she said before falling over the bodies of water, coming down as she felt in Gray's arms, a light blush coming over her face as he helped her back to her feet. "I would have been fine," Juvia grumbled as she started to lift the water again.

"how's your recovery coming," Gray asked as Juvia placed the water down.

"Fine," Juvia said, "I can at least feel my toes again," she laughed as Gray looked away. "Is something wrong?"

"I," Gray started. "I'm sorry," he began, "the only reason you're in this state now," he said, "is because that chick was looking for me."

"Gray," Juvia said suddenly in front of him, "Juvia would do what she did again in a heartbeat," looking away "because you are important too, he-" she stopped looking him in the eye. "To me," she said.

"Hey Juvia," Gray said, "what's wrong." the girl had come up to him gripping his shirt, but she was quiet. She had been like that ever since the battle ended.

"I feel," Juvia said. "Juvia feels like she should apologize," she looked away, "but she doesn't know why."

"Hey, come on, we made it," he said. "You have nothing to apologize for," he smiled.

"I know," Juvia said, "but" she stopped looking away.

"Then stop thinking about what if and coming from the world's current authority of past regret." Natsu said as he looked to the sky, "This is one thing you don't want to wonder what if about."

"Look, Juvia," Gray said, "whatever you saw, it didn't happen," he said, "come on, perk up," he said, "I think my mood at this party would go up a bit. If I could see you smile."

"You need Juvia's smile to enjoy this party," Juvia said. "Oh, Gray," she cried, throwing her arms around him rolled his eyes as he hugged her back. "Juvia knows you better than you think," Juvia said. "Remember that," she said before kissing him on the cheek. "Thank you, Gray," she said, smiling. "I mean it."

"Now come on, let's enjoy the night," he said. "We've earned it," he said as they clinked their drinks together."

"Juvia," a voice screamed as she looked up to see Gray standing over her. She noticed she had fallen to the ground, the scarf she had made on the ground covered in snow. "Juvia, are you okay," he asked as Juvia looked at the floor. She then felt the scarf she had made wrapped around her. "You nonweather-proof people are supposed to wear these things," he smiled.

"Juvia," she looked away, "why does Juvia always end up so cold when she's around you" This was enough to get Gray to stop. "You know, as a water woman, she hates that."

"yeah," Gray said, "well, consider payback for always getting me soaking wet," he said before long. Their laughter filled the air as Gray pulled her up. "come on, let's get you out of the cold."

"no," Juvia said. "I'm fine," she said, trying to smile. "Juvia," she then went for the scarf. "I made this for you, actually," she said.

"you made it," Gray said.

"no, I can win this," Gray shouted as the ice on them shattered Invel stood back.

"what Invel muttered as the ice around Gray went into his mouth as she stood up, the black markings around his body vanishing as she looked at Invel, who backed up in horror. "How did he" he shook his head. "No one? Can break my ice lock."

"you seemed to forget I'm an ice demon," he said. "Eating ice is what we do."

"Being an ice demon won't help you," Invel shouted "{netherworld ice}," Invel shouted as she blasted at Gray. "This is ice that freezes all," he screamed as they called Juvia slowly sat up.

"Gray," Juvia whispered as her head slowly started to clear. "Be careful."

"{ice devils: rage}" Gray screamed as Invel blew away the ice.

"You call that ice magic," Invel shouted. "Let me show you why they call me the winter general," he shouted as he released a wave of ice. Gray jumped away, punching him in the face.

"I don't care what you are," Gray called. "You aren't harming my friends," he screamed as he released a barrage of ice. Invel smiled as he kicked Gray away.

"My netherworld ice is more than just powerful," Invel bragged. "It's completely chill. Not even an ice demon could resist this," he screamed as she stabbed Gray with a sword making him cough up blood. "It will freeze you whole, and you still shatter."

"you don't seem to get it," Gray smiled. "I took your advice" The ice on his body started to shatter as the dark making on Gray's body returned.

"what," Invel asked 'it would appear the rumors of slayer magic are true" he stepped back in shock as Gray started eating the ice on him, freezing the wound that was made.

"I'm taking you down," Gray shouted as Invel blocked his attack again, jumping back. "Your power is nothing when it comes to people can fight back, isn't it" he shouted.

"I need to think," Invel shouted as he blocked Gray's attack "my Ice attacks are having little to know the effect on him," he called as he fired an ice attack which Gray absorbed. "no, it's .impossible."

"you down" Gray shouted as their attack canceled out Invel smiled. "What so funny."

"Nothing, just your power," Invel said. "I must admit I envy you; the power to be immune to all forms of ice, no matter the consequence, must be powerful," Invel told him.

"you're trying to get in my head won't work," Gray shouted as she rushed him again. "You're going down," Gray screamed before he felt a chill again 'I thought his body started to freeze.

"but even you have your limits," he smiled. "Like, I told you netherworld ice freezes all," he walked up to Gray, "And after I kill you, I'll kill the girl too" he smiled as Gray screamed as he was completely frozen.

Brandish sat Lucy down, and she looked down at her. "Listen, Brandish, if this is about what happened with August, we had no idea Mest was going to pull that," she said, hoping to reason with the wizard as she shrunk down to her size. "Look, I don't want to fight."

"And I don't want to fight you," Brandish said as she looked around. "You should be safe here," she said as she turned to leave. "Stay here and stay out of a fight."

"what," Lucy asked. "What are you going to do."

"I'm entering the battle. I'm going to kill every last one of them," Brandihs told her. "I'm sparing your life only because of our mother's relationship and the kindness you've shown me" She turned away.

"And you think I'm going to sit by and let you kill everyone I care about" Lucy shouted.

"so what you've already lost" Brandish shouted. "The spriggan twelve are making their move, and with our heavyweights, August and Irene, you don't stand a chance," she sighed as he faced Lucy. "And at this very moment, his majesty is reaping the fairy heart, fairy tail has lost this war, and August is allowing me to keep you out of it."

"no," Lucy muttered, thinking about Aquarius. "I don't care. I'm a member of fairy tail, and we never back down," she shouted, "and if we have to die, we're going to die together because we're family."

"Lucy, don't make me do this," Brandish asked, "please just stay here; you'll be safe, and the war will be over soon."

"Lady Erza," a voice called. "Brandish, have you seen Lady Erza" The pair turned to see Niehart walking up to them. "Brandish, this is a comrade of Lady Erza, no," he laughed. "Please step aside; I must kill her."

"no," Brandish shouted. "August gave direct orders. Lucy Heartfilia is mine."

"I'm not your property," Lucy shouted.

"oh, so you're defending her," Nienhart laughed. "Then you will have the wrath of a servant of Lady Irene," Nienhart screamed as he unleashed an attack knocking Brandish back.

"Nienhart, calm down," Brandish shouted, "what are you doing."

"get the hell away from Lucy," a voice screamed as Natsu appeared, punching Nienhart in the face and sending him flying away.

"Natsu," Lucy cheered

"Lucy, are you okay," Happy asked

"I'm fine," Lucy smiled. "Good to see you both."

"he took out Nienhart in one punch," Brandish muttered as Natsu stood up, anger in his eyes.

"your turn"

"now to track down E.N.D." Invel smiled as he walked away, as the ice behind him shattered again. 'What' Gray turned around, looking at him as the ice absorbed his body. "No, he was able to mimic the properties in my ice" Before he could move, Gray punched him in the face breaking his glasses and sending him to the ground as Gray rushed after him. "No, my ice, it's not working."

"get out of my sight," Gray shouted "{Ice devils: laughter}" Gray shouted as he created shards of ice in the air, raining down on Invel, who jumped out of the way, smiling as Gray continued his fight.

"I guess I shouldn't be surprised" Invel's grin grew wider 'if only I could take your power for myself, I would be unstoppable" Hehe landed on the ground as he and Gray stood across from h other "{true-kamui}" Invel whispered as his netherworld ice covered his body forming armor as Gray attacks bounced off him.

"you're going to die," Gray shouted as Invel caught his fist.

"Not so fast," Invel called. "I will have your power, and I will beat you," Invel shouted as she stabbed Gray through the chest again. "I'm going to freeze you to your core," he screamed.

"My body is so cold," Gray whispered.

"looks like you slayers can't handle your elements on the inside," Invel smiled. as more blood fell from gray "It would seem you've lost a lot of blood."

"No, Gray," Juvia muttered as she tried to stand up 'sorry, my love, I learned this power, but she looked at Gray, who was struggling to break free 'no, I won't even hesitate' Juvia muttered as she took the maker wizard stance "{water make: blood}" she shouted.

"what" Gray muttered

"No," Invel shouted. "I'll kill you first."

"you're not touching her," Gray shouted as he punched Invel away, landing on the ground. "Juvia," Gray called.

"you're okay," Juvia muttered before passing out.

"what a fool's errand," Invel growled. "You're still going to," Gray said nothing as he punched Invel away.

"I'm going to kill you," Gray shouted as he attacked Invel again.

"No, my ice," Invel muttered "he managed to absorb it," Invel shouted. "No, I won't lose," Eh screamed. "I must fulfill his majesty's goal," he called. "You won't stop us."

"Just watch us," Gray shouted "{devil sayer secret art: Zeroth destruction fist}" he screamed as he punched Invel, creating a large wave of ice and shattering his ice.

"What, no," Invel muttered. "My ice, what is this."

"you're going to die," Gray screamed as he punched Invel around d sent him to the ground. The ice storm over them needing as Gray stood above him, anger on his face as Invel grew a dark grin on his face.

"Go on, finish it," Invel smiled. "You know you want to" Gray raised his blade in the air, slamming it on the ground near Invel's face.

"You'd like that, wouldn't you" Gray whispered as he turned around. "Juvia," Gray shouted. "Come on, talk to me," he screamed as Juvia opened her eyes, smiling at him. "Oh, thank goodness' Gray smiled as he brought her in for a hug.

"Gray," Juvia asked, "now, not the time for cuddles. We need to get to Mavis," she whispered,

"and find Natsu."

"you mean Etherious Natsu dragneel."
