Hey, fairy tail fans, welcome back to a fairy tail re-told: the final chapters! Mavis has returned, dealing a devastating blow to the Alvarez army; however, E.N.D.'s rampage continues as Mira interjects between the fight with E.N.D. and Gray, hoping to convince Natsu to fight off the demon's influence. Mira lay on the ground; Natsu ran up to her and picked her up "damn it," Natsu muttered as he used a torn shirt to cast her arm Lisanna ran up the group "Mira, Natsu," she shouted, "what? Happened.
"the monster had me," Mira told her. "Elfman then saved me by performing a full-body takeover."
Lisanna turned to the monster in front of "That's Elfman," she asked as the monster loomed over them; she sighed and walked towards it.
"Lisanna, wait," Mira called out, "stay back."
Ignoring her sister, Lisanna held out her arms and smiled, "Hey, big brother," the monster stopped and looked at her. "I know you're scared, but you don't have to be; your family's right here," she told him, smiling. "We still love you," she said; the monster froze for a few seconds before sweeping at her time seemed to go in slow motion as Lisanna flew into the air.
"Lisanna!" Mira screamed in tears as she watched her sister fly away. Natsu stood back in total shock as the monster roared.
The memory of that day left Mira's mind as she saw what Natsu had become, something far behind himself as she stood before her brother. She had failed to save her little sister; then she'd be damned if she failed to save her little brother. She wouldn't fail, as E.N.D. seemed completely frozen by her presence. 'I don't care what Gray thinks, Anna, he's my little brother' "It's okay, Natsu," Mira said as E.N.D. looked at her, the flames around him dying down.
"your big sister is here."
Alvarez arc: Natsu's mind
Mira stood with her arms stretched out as E.N.D. looked at her as she walked forward as he backed up. "Natsu," she heard some voices calling. Mira looked up to see Lucy, Wendy, Cana, and Anna running up to the group holding her hand. Wendy and Lucy stopped the other two as she looked back at Natsu.
"what are you doing" Brandish shouted, "your friends are going to get killed."
"Just watch," Wendy smiled, "If anyone can get Natsu back" She looked at Mira and nodded as her attention turned back to Natsu. "It's Mira." she smiled.
"Gray, are you all right," Erza asked. "what were you doing," Gray said nothing, looking away from the shame on his face and thinking about what he was trying to do.
"Natsu, what the hell? You don't look manley at all," Elfman shouted. "You gotta man up and beat that damn demon."
"Elfman," Mra said calmly, "let me do the talking here, okay" Elfman nodded.
"Gray, my love," Juvia shouted as Meredy ran to where they were when. Mira held her hand back, not looking away at Natsu as Meredy stopped.
"what's going on here," Rossello asked.
"I think Mira's trying to talk Natsu down," Meredy whispered as Mira looked back at E.N.D., trying her best not to anger the demon, hoping and praying that her brother was there.
"hey," Mira muttered.

"get out of my way," E.N.D. muttered. "where is Zeref."
"Natsu, I know you're still in there," Mira whispered.
"Must find Zeref," E.N.D. roared again as everyone backed up.
"I know why you're doing this," Mira whispered, undeterred by the demon's outburst as E.N.D. backed up. "You're doing this cause you feel like you have to protect us," she stepped forward again. "That it's the only way to end this war so we can go back to how things were before the war started" She smiled as she walked up to him. "This isn't the way."
"get out of my way," E.N.D. shouted.
"I'm not moving," Mira said out loud. "I'm not going anywhere without you, you're in pain, but I'm here," she said, tears appearing. "It's okay. Everything is going to be okay," she whispered. "I promise nothing will happen to us; we can win. We don't need this thing."
"Mira," E.N.D. growled out.
"That's right; it's me" Mira took another step forward. The heat was intense, but she didn't care. She needed to reach Natsu, everything she had learned and wanted to know. At this moment didn't matter. What mattered was bringing Natsu back to his senses. She walked forward, wrapping him in a tight hug. She smiled. "It's okay," she said, feeling him burn her,
"We still love you."
Flashback

Natsu sat alone in the forest. He ran, pouring down his face as he heard footsteps approaching him from behind. Looking to see what it was, Natsu's eyes widened as he saw Mira approaching him, her arm in a sling. She also had cuts from her trek through the jungle. "I'd thought you'd be here," she said with a sigh of relief.
"Mira I, " Natsu looked away, "stay away from me," he said.
"No," Mira said, "I'm bringing you home."
"that place isn't my home," Natsu said, looking away. "It never was. The forest is where I belong" Natsu got up to leave, but Mira was able to jump in front of him.
"No, it isn't Natsu" She recognized this place. Natsu brought them here when they first met and said it was where he was raised. "Please, Natsu, this place isn't your home; Magnolia is."
Natsu's voice was filled with frustration as he spoke, "It's frustrating how nobody ever believed me when I told them that Igneel raised me." He locked eyes with Mira and continued, "I didn't have a normal upbringing like most people. As far as I know, I'm the only remaining dragon slayer. Can you imagine how lonely that feels?"
"I do," Mira said as she gripped her arm, "but you have people who need you, Natsu," Mira said, "whatever Laxus told you is not true."
"He didn't tell me anything," Natsu bellowed at the girl, bringing her to a halt. "He took me in because he understood my pain better than anyone," Natsu declared firmly. "And I believed him. I agreed with him," Natsu emphasized.
"Natsu I" Mira was at a loss for words. She couldn't say anything. Is this why he's out here? "Natsu, whatever your thinking, you're wrong," Mira said.
"what Natsu said" as he gripped her shirt.
"You have people who need you," Mira said as she pulled the boy in for a hug. "Elfman, Mavis, gramps," Mira hesitated. "Happy Lisanna and me" Natsu was now crying as she held him in her arms.
"I'm sorry," she said, "you were hurting, and I saw it, but I never tried anything," Mira said, "I thought Happy would help with that, but I was wrong."
"Mira I," Natsu hugged her back. "I just feel so alone, and I thought Laxus understood me."
"He didn't," Mira assured Natsu. "Our family wants to support you. We'll always be there for you." She leaned in and whispered, "Remember, you're not alone. Your big sister loves you no matter what."
"You look like you've got fire ants in your bum," Mira teased.
"Ah, Mira, "Natsu screamed, falling over. "Very funny," Natsu said as he stood up. "Buzz of Happy's teasing is enough," he said as he turned away.
"Come on. You trust me, don't you," Mira asked
"Trust you to make me look like an idiot."
"Not like you need my help with that dragon breath," Mira grumbled. "Now get over yourself," Mira said, "and give me your hands" Natsu looked at her before letting out a defeated sigh as he took her hands. "Now," Mira said as she placed his hand on her waist, "the most important thing is, don't step on her toes" She smiled. "Other than that, you should be fine" As they started to dance, "Forward-back," Mira instructed.
"Since when do you know how to dance," Natsu asked.
"Aye," Happy said, "you're better at this than I thought, Mira."
"I picked it up because I was bored one day," Mira admitted. Getting curious looks from the pair, she shook her head. "Not important," she said as they danced around.
"Hey, I think I'm getting the hang of it," Natsu said to which Mira smiled.
"and at the end of it," Natsu said, talking with Mavis, Mira, and Elfman in the room," I received a vision; I could see the life the other me had with the Lisanna and Wendy of that world," he told them, "the time they spent together, what they did, hell even the birthdays."
"that is strange," Mavis answered, sitting down. "Maybe it was a by-product of expelling so much magic power at once," she said, her stroke on her chin, "so many possibilities."
"or maybe," Mira said, finally speaking up, "maybe it was a gift" She then felt Natsu reach over the couch with a smile.
"yeah," he told her, "a gift."
Natsu was clutching an envelope with slightly crumpled edges. The bold words on it read, "for big sis," and upon seeing the handwriting, Mira immediately recognized it. With a smile, Natsu handed over the letter, and everyone in the room watched as Mira opened it with anticipation. Tears came to the barmaid's eyes as she read the heartfelt message inside. "You're one hell of a messenger," Mira told Natsu while wiping away her tears.
Natsu smiled as Mira jumped up and hugged him, "thank you," she told him, "Thank you."
End Flashback
"don't give up," Mira whispered in his ear as the fire around Natsu subsided. "I'm here; I promise I'll find a way," she said. "I'll protect you," she said as the demonic markings on his body started to disappear, the scales falling off.
"Mira," Natsu asked.
"Natsu," Happy cried as he flew at his best friend. Elfman hugged the group as Natsu calmed down, looking around and remembering where he was. "You okay" Happy cried.
"She did it," Anna whispered. As they all ran to the four, "Natsu, are you all right?" she said as she approached them.
"I feel," Natsu muttered. "I don't" he was able to get out and passed out again, falling into Mira's arms as she fell to the ground.
"you moron we were so worried about, you, " Lucy cried.
"What happened to him," Erza asked.
"I'll explain on the way," Lucy said, "but come on, let's get some cover; we need to help Natsu now."
"Elfman, get back to Mavis," Mira told her younger brother. "Tell her we found Nastu, but he's messed up pretty bad."
"got it," Elfman said. "Can you handle him, sis?"
"I can handle him. Just go," Mira smiled at her brother "he'll be fine, but Mavis is worried sick by now" ELfman nodded as he ran off to find their mother. as she sighed, "Wendy."
"Gray, are you alright," Juvia asked
"I'll be fine," Gray managed, "just gotta catch my breath."
"kinda stupid taking on the most powerful demon all by yourself," Meredy told him. "You lucky Natsu had some semblance of control left."
"yeah," Gray whispered, "we both are."
"is he going to be okay," Erza asked. "What was that."
"That was E.N.D." Happy said, "Hey, Natsu, come on."
"We need to look over him," Wendy said. "Get me something to lay him on."
"alright," Erza said as she looked at Natsu. "Okay, I'll help where I can."
"all right," Sting smiled looks like everything is going all right," he cheered.
"We should clean up the rest of their forces" Kagura smiled. "It's good to see you all, all right."
"yes," Minerva smiled. "Where did fairy tail run off to."
"to find Natsu," Yukino told her. "I hope he's all right."
"Hey, look, it's Rogue," Frosh cheered.
"Frosh, there you are," Rogue said, "he's with Sting as well" Behind him, Ogra, Rufus, Evergreen Bickslow, and Freed."
"I told you I saw them" Evergreen smiled.
"How are you guys doing," Bickslow asked,
"We're doing fine." Sting smiled before stopping. "You guys feel that."
"What is that," Evergreen asked. "So much magic power" They turned to see someone walking up to them, m it was August, the wizard king.

"More allies of fairy tail, I see," August smiled. "Tell me, where are the chosen son and chosen daughter?" he let out anger filling his voice. "I wish to kill them."
"I've never felt so much magic power," Minerva muttered, shaking.
"no words," August said. "Fine, then you must die as well," he shouted as she prepared to attack.
"move," Kagura shouted as she lunged at August, who blocked her attack, shattering her sword.
"foolish heroics," August growled out.
"Kagura, look out" Sting shouted "{holy rays}" he screamed as God Serena smiled. "Rogue now."
"{dragon slayer secret art: shadows corruption}" he screamed as he attacked August, making him slide back.
"you slayers always have to be the troubling sort," he muttered. "But not even you are invincible," he said as he tapped the ground, creating a large wave of light attacking Rogue, sending him flying.
"Rogue" Minerva shouted.
"Thanks for the snack," Sting shouted. "Come on, everyone."
"{line formation}" Bickslow shouted.
"{fairy machine gun leprechaun}" Evergreen shouted.
August laughed as he blocked the attacks. "You fools think this will be enough.
"Sting" Minerva shouted. "Come on, let go."
"right," Sting shouted.
"Mion Terse Elcantaeus Yagdo Rigora!" Minerva shouted as she unleashed one of the teen battel gods on August, who laughed.
"Impressive," August laughed again, "but you have merely scratched the surface of this magic," he shouted as she took power from the attack and blasted Minerva away.
"{open gate of divine balance: libra}" she shouted. "Maximum gravity."
"Understood, my lady."
"Now {open gate of the two fish pieces}" she shouted as pieces appeared in their proper forms. "Go," August smiled.
"celestial magic," he said as she unleashed a column of fire, taking down both spirits as he appeared in front of Yukino. "interesting," he said as Yukino backed up in fear.
"get away from her," Sting shouted. August looked at him, tapping his staff on the ground again, creating a large wave of wind, grabbing everyone in the area as they screamed in pain, creating a shockwave.
"what is this guy" Evergreen groaned out.
"why is he so strong," Bickslow asked.
"Now that I have shown my power," August asked, "Will you tell me where the chosen son and daughter are," he asked as a rock hit him in the head. As he turned back, his face filled with anger.
Bickslow growled, "Even if I knew where Natsu and Mira were, I wouldn't tell you. They have bigger problems than worrying about a loser like you." However, he was abruptly stopped when Augst raised his staff and blasted Bickslow.
"Bickslow," Evergreen shouted.
"your friend is not dead," August told her. "Not yet," he looked at her. "So, tell me where the children of Magnolia are," he growled, picking up Evergreen by the throat as he glared at her. "Or would you rather I kill you," he said.
"no, Evergreen," Yukino muttered.
"let her go," Sting shouted as August, without breaking concentration, kicked him to the ground, stepping on his chest and looking down as he crushed his chest, making him cough up blood.
"Sting," Lector shouted.
"tell me where they are," August shouted. "And it will spare you this pain and Misery," he cried. he then felt something grabs his leg. Looking down, he saw Sting with a blood-stained smile looking at him.
"Even if we knew," Sting muttered. "We sure as hell wouldn't tell you."
"{Shadow dragon slash}," Rogue shouted as she punched August away. He jumped back, catching Evergreen as she coughed, trying to catch her breath. "You all right."
"I'm fine," Evergreen muttered.
"come on, we can take this guy," Sting said as she tried to get up.
"your hurt," Rogue told him.
"I'll be fine," String muttered, "but we gotta take this jerk down."
"right," Rogue said.
Wendy sighed as she overlooked Natsu. "Mira, those burns look serious," Porlyusica said. "Are you sure you'll be fine?"
"look over everyone else first," Mira said. "I've been burnt worse than this."
"Natsu is going to be okay right" Erza spoke up. "I mean, he's going to pull through again, right."
"he's never gone so far," Anna admitted. "When he was younger, he would have small outbursts. It would settle, but."
"Mom was here," Wendy said; she stopped when she felt Erza place a hand on her shoulder.
"believe in yourself, Wendy," Erza said. "I know you can do this," she said. "If anyone can save Natsu, it's you."
Wendy smiled as she wiped away a stray tear "your right; I can stitch him back together," she said. "I have to believe that," she looked up, giving an uncertain grin. "Sensei, is there anything else I should know?"
"like why I'm a part demon," Meredy asked curtly.
"You didn't know that," Anna asked. "I told you that."
"when" Meredy shouted.
"you were young, but" Anna sighed, "you and Natsu are unique. You have both demon blood and dragon blood flowing through veins," she explained. "I thought with time and refusal of using that part of you, it would fade just be a part of your D.N.A.," she admitted, "it seemed to work for you, Meredy, but you are only half-demon."
"and Natsu's fully demon," Wendy said,
"as much as I hate to admit it," Anna said. "back in my time, four hundred years ago, there was an ancient blood magic that people used to save sickly children."
"is that why I'm a part demon," Meredy asked.
"yes," Anna said. "Thankfully, it was through that research that we were able to treat Natsu, who was a full demon" She looked at the boy. "Through time, we managed to get Natsu's demon side into a repressed state," Anna said, "and when it slipped, Grandeeney could heal it away."
"I sense a but coming," Lucy said
"but he's never reacted like this," Anna said.
"So, what was different about this time," Porlyusica asked.
"I have a theory that him using the fire dragon king mode with Igneel's power was the cause," Anna said. "The fact that he was able to achieve such a form was unusual, and I have a feeling Igneel left that power there for a reason," she looked at Natsu, "and by activating it, Natsu might have accidentally released something."
"so can we get Natsu back," Happy asked. "I mean our Natsu."
"It's hard to say," Anna said. "Lucy, you've been with him since he woke up. Has anything seemed different to you?"
"Now that you mention it," Lucy admitted. "Ever since he woke up, he's been mentioning Zeref constantly," Lucy said.
"right," Juvia said. "at the time, I didn't pay attention to it."
"It's because Zeref codes everything he makes," Gray said, finally speaking up, "with the instinct to kill him, no matter what," he said. "I hate to say it, but Natsu might have been gone longer than we thought."
"don't say that, Gray," Erza shouted. "Natsu," she looked at her friend, "he wouldn't be taken down so easily, not like this," she said. "I refuse to believe that"
"when Natsu's demon side takes over, it's like his mind enters a fog," Anna explained. "From what he told me the last time it happened, he felt like he was split into million pieces, and when those pieces stitched back together, he was gone, and all he felt was rage.
"then I'll just have to stick him back together," Wendy said as Natsu started to let out steam.
"Natsu doesn't normally do that right," Cana asked
"Oh, my goodness, he's getting cold," Wendy shouted.
"Natsu" Lucy shouted.
"come on, wake up," Erza screamed.
"this bad," Anna muttered "damn it, we need heat," she shouted. "Make a fire. Any source will do."
"Right," Lucy said.
"I'll help, too," Meredy said.
"I'll stay here and watch over Natsu," Erza said, "he'll be safe with me."
"thank you," Anna said. "I'll need to find the book," she said, "stay out of sight; I'll be back soon."
"come on, Natsu," Wendy muttered. "I need you to wake up shift, do something," Wendy asked. "Natsu," Wendy said again, hoping he would get up, "please move; come on, Natsu."
"Natsu"
Natsu looked around. He was somewhere. It looked like it was snowing. But he had no idea how he got here, so he kept walking ", Hello," Natsu called, his voice echoing in the emptiness. "Where the hell am I."
"Hello again, Natsu," a voice called, scaring the dragon slayer and making him turn around as Zeref approached him. "Welcome to the end."
"what are you doing here" Natsu shouted. "what is here? Where is here."
"the only reason you're here now is because your dying," Zeref said, "so I figured I could fill in the blanks." he smiled. "Oh, and would it be too much trouble for you to call me big brother," Zeref asked, "it is possibly the only thing I've ever wanted."
"no," Natsu said.
"very well," Zeref laughed. "Come on, we have a bit to go over before the year X777," he laughed.
"I was living with Igneel," Natsu said, "and Anna."
"even before that, Natsu." Zeref smiled as a small village formed around them. "Recognize this place, Natsu," he said. "This was our home. It was a quiet village" he turned around, showing two people. "And these are parents; I don't remember much about them," Zeref said as he looked at his parents. His father had a burly figure, resembling Natsu, with tired eyes. His pink-colored hair is spiky in the front while shaved in the back. His attire consisted of tribal wear, a neck cuff, and part of his body exposed from the clothing.
In comparison, his mother had a womanly figure to go along with her black hair tied in a bun with bangs coming down from each side of her face. Her attire consisted of tribal wear, an opening in the middle to expose her chest area, and dark sleeves to cover her arms. Her face resembles that of her older son Zeref.
"Mom, Dad," Natsu whispered. "A part of me always wondered what they were like."
"They were kind and quite loving," Zeref said. "I remember how happy our mother was when she had you," he smiled. "But that ideal life was shattered," he said. "When dragons coming from Alakitasia attacked our home," he said as the area around them caught fire. "Our parents died in that attack, and you, Natsu, was killed as well," Zeref sighed. "I would then spend the rest of my life trying to get you back."
"what do you mean," Natsu asked.
"you already know this part of the story," Zeref said. "I brought you back as an Etherious, the strongest etherious ever created" Zeref turned away as his old lab formed around them. The pod Natsu was sleeping in was now empty as Zeref appeared with a younger and far more feral Natsu. "E.N.D."
Natsu, please sit down," Zeref shouted as Natsu ran around the room, crashing everything to the ground and ripping papers apart as Zeref tried to stop his brother. "Natsu, please sit down for a moment," he called as Natsu ran away again, pulling down a desk shelf as he ran off. "Natsu, wait."
"You were hard to teach," Zeref admitted, "but honestly, I was just glad to have had you back" Zeref smiled.
"what changed," Natsu asked.
"you met me, my dear boy," a voice called as Natsu turned to see Anna approaching him.
"where's Zeref" Natsu asked.
"it would seem your mind felt better for me to tell you this part of the story," Anna said. "Of course, you always were better at listing to me," she smiled. "Come, maybe through our journey will solve the mystery," Anna said.
"what mystery," Natsu asked.
"of who you are."
Wendy sighed as she continued using her healing magic "Wendy," Lucy said, placing a hand on the shoulder, "I don't think there's any more you can do."
"no, don't say that," Wendy said. "I can heal him" She looked down. "I just need time; whatever this is, he needs my help." she tried to fight back the obvious tears on her face. "Natsu is going to be okay. We're going to get through this and."
"let Wendy concentrate," Erza said. "I have faith that she can help Natsu" She looked down. "This" She didn't even know how to react all that mattered right now was Natsu getting up. Just please get up. She didn't want to force Wendy to make that decision, which she was forced to make for Jellal. 'If I Had been there, maybe I could have stopped him.' shaking the thought from her head, 'No, this wouldn't be like last time." Natsu would pull through
"Ay," Happy said. "Natsu is a fighter. He won't give up so easily."
"I'm just glad there are no more soldiers," Lucy whispered
"That was thanks to Mavis," Mira said. "She took out a good chunk, and Laxus stayed with the others to help clean up any stragglers." she sighed. "And in any case, Cana," she looked at the girl, "I think it's time you explained yourself."
"your right, it is," Cana said. "Happy."
"Well, you see," Happy started, "when we rushed off to fight Zeref," Happy explained, "he told him that he was a demon and that he was his older brother."
"so what Laracde told me was true," Mira whispered
"Aye," Happy said, "and that means when we beat Zeref."
"Natsu dies too," Erza finished as the group went silent. "No, we can't let that happen," she shouted. "I"
"There is a way, according to Anna, she can sever the link between Natsu and Zeref," he said. "We just have to get the book of E.N.D from him.
"yeah," Cana muttered as she leaned against a rock
"That being hopeful, don't you think," Brandish asked. "I ema n you expect to steal from his majesty."
"if it means saving my friend," Erza told her "Then yes" she was about to continue before she felt something, a power that made her stop looking around everyone stared at her
"Erza, what's wrong," Mira asked Erza said nothing holding a finger up as they all heard footsteps. Irene appeared. Brandish and Dimaria looked in fear as she walked past where they were hiding.
"I can see you," Irene called. "Come on out, fairy tail," she laughed. "You can't hide from me" Behind their cover Erza told everyone to be quiet as Irene turned to where they were. "Oh, so you're trying to play hide and seek, and you have to dragonborn with you" She smiled as she shattered the rocks where they were hiding Erza jumped back as everyone looked in horror.
"that's," Wendy muttered, "sage dragon slayer magic."
"I do hope you know better, my little ones," Irene laughed, "than to attack your mother."
"Mother," Lucy asked.
"that's her," Wendy muttered in fear. "She's still alive."
"Who is that," Happy asked.
"that," Wendy muttered, her hair standing on end as Irene glared at the small group. "She's the sage dragon slayer, student of the legendary sage dragon Belserion, the dragon who led the forces fighting for humanity, and former queen of Dragnorf; she's one of the most powerful dragon slayers to grace earthland, and the first Dragonborn Irene Belserion" Wendy fished as she looked at her.
"The mother of dragon slayers."

Natsu has been saved, but whether or not he'll survive his transformation into E.N.D. is up in the air. While Irene comes down on the injured, Erza confronts in which Wendy and reveals her nature as the mother of dragon slayers, the long-thought-dead first dragon slayer.
