"you still haven't told me what I'm looking for," Natsu shouted.
"I know," a voice called.
"Igneel," Natsu muttered as the ground busted in flames as Natsu's foster father, Igneel, the fire dragon king, rose from the ground, "Dad, is that you."
"in a way," Igneel smiled. "As you already know, the dragon seed and demon seed inside of you compete for dominance," he said. "At first, I used my peer to surpass the demon side inside of you, but."
"I used it to fight Zeref," Natsu finished. "And now," he sighed. "I'm going to die."
"There is a way," Igneel told him, "you must choose."
"choose," Natsu asked.
"the link between you and Zeref remains, however; you can choose which seed you want to keep or reject both," he explained to the boy. "it all boils down to one point, Natsu," Igneel said. "Who are you," he asked.
"I'm" Natsu looked away. "I don't know anymore, Dad,"
"to save yourself, you must let a seed win," Igneel said. "You have to know who you are. Are you a dragon, demon, or human?"
"I don't know," Natsu admitted.
"you're a dragon Natsu," Igneel said again. "you are the fire dragon king; the last chance we have at stopping Acnologia."
"Igneel lies," Zeref appeared again as Igneel growled. "Natsu, you are my greatest work. You are a demon; you are E.N.D." He smiled as she stood behind Natsu. "That is who you are. Embrace it. Don't run away from that."
"no, Natsu," Anna shouted. "You are human, remember that," she exclaimed, "once we get the book, the demon seed will be gone" She smiled. "Don't give up on your humanity just yet."
"Natsu lost his humanity the moment he died, and I made him reborn," Zeref said, "he is my demon. He is E.N.D"
"he is my son," Igneel shouted. "A dragon, that's what he is. The dragon seed planted will never go away," he said.
"Please stop," Natsu said, covering his ears as all three started to shout louder and louder, telling him he was one or the other Natsu felt his head spinning as everything started to overwhelm him, dragon, human, or demon. He didn't know. "Stop it," Natsu shouted again as he fell to his knees. "Please just shut up!" Natsu screamed as everything went quiet, as the entire area grew around him. He was in front of the hut he and Lisanna had built all those years ago. "What," he asked.
"hey, Natsu," a voice called as Natsu turned to see Lisanna standing behind him.
"Welcome home, dear."
The final chapters, part IV: My Name is...
"I will not lose." Erza and Irene continued their struggle, trying to gain the upper hand on the other, neither giving gin to the other Erza felt her legs start to give out as Irene's grin grew
"It's over, Erza," Irene said as she pointed her staff toward her daughter. "Soon, you will fall," she shouted. "Your mistake was challenging your queen," she screamed, "Challenging the mother of dragon slayers."
"I don't care," Erza shouted. "I won't," she tried to keep standing. "No matter what," she growled. "You won't take them from me," she called as she kept resisting Irene. as more red energy surrounded her.
"you foolish girl," Irene shouted as she towered over Erza. "It's the end for you, your no Sage dragon," she screamed.
"that may be true," Erza growled. "but I won't give up," she screamed as Irene laughed.
"is the brave face your putting on because your about to die" Irene shouted? "I can see it, your eye," she growled. "That feeling of fear" She was stopped when Erza headbutted her, making her lose balance as Irene felt blood coming from her nose.
"This will not be my end," Erza shouted. "I'm taking them home," she called as she put all her strength into her attack against Irene.
"It's over, Erza," Irene shouted as she regained her balance, the pair screaming even louder until Erza's sword shattered along with Irene's staff. Everything in the air went quiet as Irene looked in shock as Erza, not being stopped using whatever magic power she had left, clutching the remains of her sword. She focused her magic on it as she rushed past Irene striking her as she screamed in pain, Landing on the ground as Irene screamed in pain. Erza landed against a wall turning around.
"damn, I'm almost out," Erza whispered. "I can't feel anything," she said as Irene turned around, smiling. "come on, Erza, you have to keep going just a bit more," she managed out as Irene smiled at her. 'come on, body stops shaking, now not the time to let fear win."
"you," she whispered as she dragged herself to Erza, her dark grin never leaving as she Erza using her last strength, equipping out another sword before throwing it in a last-ditch effort to kill Irene, who just smiled, catching the blade not even harming her hands "Nice try, dear," she said as she flipped the blade. "but you used dragon slayer magic" Irene gave a devilish grin "it might work this time" she smiled "now that you awakened it" she sludged forward "your body will be mine. It will all be mine."
"no," Erza whispered, looking around as she tried to stand up, noticing a piece of Irene's broken staff on the ground; she looked back to Irene, who said nothing walking towards her and raising the sword. "No," Erza said again. As Irene swung the sword, Erza screamed, and everything went quiet, blood coming from Irene's mouth. As she looked down at her, part of her dragon-infused staff pierced her stomach as she chuckled, and tears started to fall from her face, shocking Erza as teas landed on her face.
"damn you, Erza," Irene whispered as tears came down Erza looked at her in shock. "Why won't you listen to me for once" she growled; Erza froze as, as the two stood like that, Irene's forehead against the wall Erza slowly fell to the ground as Irene went to her knees, looking down at Erza, "why," she asked as Erza reached her hand up, going to Irene's face, wiping away the tear shocking Irene.
"I remember," Erza whispered as Irene grabbed her hand, allowing her to wipe the tear away. No matter how hard she tried to fight it, a smile broke out on her face.
"my sweet little Erza"
Flashback
Irene sat in the middle of the woods holding a baby Erza in their hands, smiling. "It's a girl," Irene said in relief. "After four hundred years of pain and suffering, I can finally move on," Irene reasoned as she looked at Erza. "I just have to enchant my personality onto this baby," she said excitedly, "it's easy, Irene, just do it and get it over with," she smiled. "I will be whole again" She raised her head when Erza started crying, making Irene freeze. "Huh, what's wrong," she asked when Erza stopped reaching up, trying to touch her as tears appeared on Irene's face. "Why can't I do it? Why am I hesitating now" Irene shouted as Erza touched her face, feeling the child's small hand on her face. Irene held her close.
"your nothing but monsters"
Irene shook the voice from her head again. She should hate this baby, a product of a mission to destroy her and the people she loved, the kingdom she built for four hundred years she's suffered. She looked at the child again, who had opened her eyes to look at her before a smile broke out on her face as Irene dropped the knife, both hands now holding baby Erza as she let herself cry, "damn it."
'My kingdom, life, family, everything I ever wanted.
It was a dark knight as Irene held Erza in a basket, a hood covering her face as she sat the basket down before picking up Erza and smiling. "Why must you have such a beautiful smile," Irene said as she kissed her forehead. "I will return for you, I promise," she said, "but I have to regain my head. I have to beat this thing" She placed her on the ground Erza started crying. Irene stopped. "Please forgive me." hearing the door open. She watched as one woman looking at the child picked her up, looking around for her.
"Hey, it's going to be okay," she said as she tried to calm Erza down. Irene smiled. "as he looked at the note, "Erza," she looked at the baby again as someone walked up behind her as Irene vanished into the night.
"be safe, my sweet little scarlet flower."
'But like all things, fate seemed to punish me again.'
"What happened here" Irene walked through the destroyed village. "Erza," Irene ran to find the orphanage she had left her daughter at. "No," she said, tears appearing on her face, "No, please," she cried as she stopped looking at the burnt building. "Why," she muttered as her magic power burst out. "What the hell did I do to deserve this," she screamed.
End Flashback
"Mother," Erza asked as Irene smiled.
"All I ever wanted," Irene whispered, "was to have my kingdom, my dragon slayer children, and my daughter back," she muttered. "my sweet little Erza," she said, tears running down her face. "Forgive me, I wanted you all to see it so badly, to make the world perfect for us," she smiled. "so we can have everything." she laughed.
"I never would have thought," Erza whispered.
"my sweet little scarlet flower," Irene smiled as she felt her strength leave her body "Erza Scarlet." Irena felt blood coming from her mouth as she smiled again, falling over as Erza looked to the side, not moving. "I hope you can forgive me."
Erza said nothing, looking at her mother's body, not knowing she was dead or not thinking about everything. 'Grandpa Rob, Simone, Jellal, Makarov, all gone, and from what Irene told her, Natsu was gone Erza could do nothing as a red light started to shine around her before a violent scream erupted from her lips.
Zeref looked up. "Has Irene fallen," he asked. "The world will revert to normal," he muttered as Fiore was restored to its original size, and Magnolia was returned as all the wizards looked around in shock, leaving the members of fairy tail in the middle of a field.
"Are you kids okay" Anna screamed, running to where they were
"Wendy," Meredy shouted,
"what happened here," Juvia asked,
"What's wrong with Salamander," Gajeel asked.
"Sensei," Wendy said, tears on his face. "Natsu not getting up," Anna stopped looking at the boy "he's so cold," she cried. "I don't know what to do," she muttered.
"come on, Natsu," Lucy said. "We're running out of options here."
"Salamander" Gajeel screamed. "You better get up," he yelled. "Nap times over," he shouted. Anna said nothing, still in shell shock at what she was seeing.
"Wendy," Anna whispered.
"Please, you have to tell me what I have to do," Wendy cried as Anna brought her in for a hug.
"Cana, can you" Anna started
"I'll find Mavis," Cana said, wiping away her own tears. "I'll get her," she said as she ran off.
"thank you," Anna smiled as she looked back at Wendy, holding her close. "I'm so sorry," Anna whispered, trying to keep her tears at bay but failing as they slowly appeared, words failing to find their way out. "Wendy"
"Please, sensei tell me what to do," Wendy begged again. "I have to save him."
"Natsu, please wake up," Happy cried.
"come on, bro," Mira cried. "You have to get up."
"Natsu!"

"Lisanna," Natsu whispered as Lisanna walked up to him. "Is that really you?"
Lisanna smiled, "Yes, it's me," as he rushed over to embrace her tightly, Holding onto each other without saying a word. After a while, Lisanna gently pushed Natsu away, and they looked at each other, smiling. "It's been a while," she said warmly.
"yeah," Natsu smiled as he wiped his tears. "What are you doing here."
"I don't know," Lisanna admitted as she looked around. "This is"
"yeah, the place where we raised Happy," Natsu asked, turning around and looking at the sunset. "It's almost like we never left."
"Hey, what so funny," Natsu asked.
"Nothing," Lisanna said, blushing, "it's just, well, maybe one day" She looked at him and smiled, a large blush forming. "I could be your real wife."
"wait, huh" Now it was Natsu's turn to blush, "well, I mean, uh," Natsu's words fumbled as he looked away, "stop that."
"you know you're cute when you're embarrassed," Lisanna told him.
"I said stop it," he huffed.
"Aww, your just a big softie."
"Stop it. You're that thing Mavis calls me," Natsu told her, "nuvejile."
'You mean juvenile," Lisanna giggled "your one to talk."
"hey," Natsu shouted; he looked over to see the rain had stopped; the two walked outside and smiled.
"So pretty," Lisanna said as they both saw the sun setting. "I wish we could stay here forever," she said as she gripped Natsu's hand, causing him to blush.
"Yeah, me too."
Natsu and Lisanna stood there for several moments, holding hands as they watched the sunset like they did so many times when they were young. It never got old. "You know, after you died, I never had to heart to return here," Natsu whispered. "Lisanna," he started, getting the girl's attention. "I'm dying," he whispered.
"I know," Lisanna smiled. "did you do it," she asked.
"I don't know," Natsu said. "So much has happened since the last time we talked," he said. "I found Igneel, met like five other dragon slayers, and learned so much about my past," he sighed, thinking about everything he had been, though from the lullaby incident to the demons of Tartaros. Clutching her head as Lisanna smiled, "I," Natsu looked in the distance, "it so much that I can't break through it all."
"Well, I guess you don't have to worry about that anymore," Lisanna smiled. "what do you say we cross together," she asked.
"there was so much I wanted to do," Natsu said.
Lisanna smiled comfortingly at Natsu. "You've always been a pillar of strength, dependability, and protection, Natsu," she said, recalling their shared history. "You've stood up for those you hold dear, complete strangers, and even for people who would probably say they didn't deserve it. You've accomplished so much, and your worth has been proven time and time again," she continued, beaming with pride. "Maybe we could take a walk and explore the forest like we used to, Natsu? The world won't miss us for a little while."
"yeah," Natsu heard a voice telling him to stop telling him to turn back, but he ignored them. The feeling of calmness was excellent as he followed Lisanna through the woods.
Laxus ran through the streets. "Gildarts," he shouted as he ran to the older man. "What happened."
"Magnolia has returned to normal," Mavis called.
"Mavis," Laxus asked, "Are you alright."
"I'll be fine," Mavis said, "but."
"There you guys are," Eflaman shouted. "Mavis, you alright" she stopped.
"What happened? You find the kid," Gildarts asked as Cana looked away, trying to fight the tears. "Where's Lucy and the others."
"no idea," Laxus said. "If we stayed where we were, they might still be here," he sighed. "Did you ever find Natsu?"
"We did," Cana admitted, "E.N.D. took him over," she said. "We got him out but" Can felt tears in her eyes, "he's gone," she said. "Lucy said that he doesn't have a heartbeat."
"what," Gildarts asked. "Are you sure" he shouted before they could move again. The ground beneath them shook. "What's that" Gildarts shouted

"someone's on top of the cathedral" The group pushed and looked towards the building as they looked in horror as August dropped an injured sting. Around him were Yukino, Minerva, evergreen, Bickslow, and Freed, lay covered in wounds and blood, barely breathing
"Evergreen" Laxus shouted. "Bickslow, Freed," he shouted.
"Am I the only one left?" August yelled out. "Have I outlasted all twelve of us?" he screamed. "You've defeated all of my comrades, but you still cower behind your allies," he shouted. "Come face your demise," he challenged. "Come and face me, Fairy Tail," he demanded, "send your champions, send the children of Magnolia to face me."
"It's like the very air is shaking," Laxus muttered.
"you're about to do something stupid, aren't you," Cana asked.
"Maybe," Gildarts smiled as she jumped at August, activating his crash magic and destroying a part of the church as August looked at him.
"so, more pawns of their game," August shout when lighting strikes him. "why do you fight for such cowards."
Naww, you got one member of fairy tail," Laxus smiled.
"Where is the chosen son and daughter" August growled as he raised his magic power. "Tell me, where are they hiding" he screamed as he began to fight the two.
"I think that's August," Lucy whispered as she looked at the group. "Come on, guys, we have to help," she said, her heart hurt. Natsu was not waking up, and the war was far from over "he would want us to finish the fight, not sit here and grieve."
"Right," Gray said as she struggled to his feet. "we need to finish this for him," he looked at Mira, who still seemed shocked by the news. "Come on, guys, you have to get up."
"Wendy," Lucy muttered.
"I'm coming," Wendy whispered as Mira remained unmoving.
"I'll watch over them," Anna said, choking on her tears. "Go protect your home."
"Right," Lucy whispered. "You guys coming."
"I need to let some anger out," Wendy growled. "I'm going to pound his face in."
"right behind ya," Gajeel growled.
"Lucy, are you insane" Brandish shouted. "You realize he's called the wizard king, right" she screamed. "The calamity," she shouted as she jumped before Lucy. "Are you going to risk your life?"
"yes," Lucy told her
"you're not thinking straight."
"I am," Lucy said, "now get out of my way" Lucy's voice didn't say, but it was a threat saying nothing. Brandish as she walked past, followed by Gray, Gajeel, Juvia, Meredy, and Wendy clutching her fist.
"you're going to die; I won't save you," Brandish muttered.
"I know," Lucy whispered

"{All crush}," Gildarts shouted as August was hit by the attack, reassembling and firing off a magic blast "damn," Gildarts shouted.
"{lightning drakon: breath}" Laxus shouted as August raised his staff.
"Get lost, you jerk,": Cana shouted {thunderbolts fate}" she screamed as August jumped away.
"a holder type," he laughed. "You are a rare breed, my dear."
"don't you dare touch my daughter," Gildarts shouted.
"it would appear I found your weakness," August shouted as he shot Gildarts the man attempted to fight back, but August activated his crash magic, causing the man to fly to the ground.
"Dad" Cana shouted.
"get back, everyone," Lucy shouted as she entered the fray. "Back up is here," she exclaimed, "{star shot}," she yelled at Augst, blocking her attacks.
"{Ice make: lance}" gray shouted.
"fairy tail," August growled. "So, you finally showed yourself," he muttered.
"you bet we did," Juvia shouted, "{water: nebula}."
"such simple spells," August muttered. "I have mastered all of these," he shouted. And he blasted them away. "I am the wizard king," he screamed as the church crumbled under the pressure he created, the group landing on the ground.
"damn, what is this guy" Lucy shouted.
"get back, Lucy," Meredy shouted "{Snow empress: roar}" he screamed as August slid back a bit.
"you're going down," Gajeel shouted "{Iron Lords: great sword}," she shouted as August swatted the attack away.
"wait, that's it," Gildarts smiled. "Lost magic" he shouted.
"what" Gray screamed.
"It's lost magic," Gildarts said "he's mastered nearly every spell, but you can't learn lost magic. There's no telling what lost magic he can learn."
"alright," Gray smiled "{Ice demon: Rage}," he shouted.
"Alright then," Lucy shouted. "Give me some time; I need to prep this spell," she exclaimed.
"Right," Wendy said as she activated her dragon force "Meredy, Gajeel, you ready."
"Right behind you," both shouted as they rushed at August. "you're going down," Wendy shouted as she kicked him in the stomach. He jumped away as August pointed down, creating a large explosion.
"damn, I'm still weak from my fight with Irene," Wendy shouted as the ground shattered under her.
"keep going, kid," Gildarts called. "We have to take this guy down."
"I got that handled," Lucy shouted as her body glowed. "Here's one spell he's never heard of," she exclaimed. "Oh, zodiac, of the twelve stars, oh 88 stars of heaven, "we ask you to grant us the light to cleanse the lands, the sea, and heavens," she asked as a bright light shined around them, large magic circle forming beneath them as they got ready to cast the spell, "we ask thee oh thy malevolent gate" Lucy screamed, "shine to bare your fangs grant us the light of the king," she screamed.
"what is this" August shouted as a bright light shined over him.
"Shine, unleash your fury,{Regulus Metria}" she screamed as light shined over August, creating a large shockwave.
"Now that's an attack," Meredy shouted.
"Didn't she use this to destroy the eclipse gate," Wendy asked as the attack faded.
"no way he's walking away from that," Laxus muttered. "Remind me to stay on her good side."
"truly impressive," Augst clapped as everyone looked in horror. August staff rose in the air Lucy's attack caught in a small bubble. "I can truly see the power you and your friends have gathered over the years," he smiled. "you even figured my that I'm not immune to magic I haven't mastered," Augst shook his head, "unfortunately, the only three magic. I am vulnerable to the original three arcs of time, dragon, and god slayer magic" he laughed as he shot Lucy's attack back into the sky, creating a large explosion.
"no," Lucy muttered.
"Get back then," Meredy shouted. "Gajeel Wendy"
"right," the pair shouted as they activated their dragon force and rushed August, who vanished from sight.
"How are your injuries faring" August shouted as he struck them all down.
"damn," Wendy muttered, "get back."
"Where are the chosen son and daughter," August asked again. "Bring your champions or face my wrath," he screamed as they all were blown back.
"crap," Gajeel muttered. "Meredy, you okay."
"oh yeah, I'm fine," Meredy whispered. "Just a little out of it."
"crap," Gajeel muttered. "What is this guy."
"I am the wizard king, August," August said confidently, "champion of his majesty, and through me, his will shall be realized."
In the field they lay, Mira stayed crying over Natsu's motionless body as Erza yet to move from near her mother. "Come on, Natsu," Mira whispered as Anna sat next to her, "Please, you gotta get up," she managed out, "Home right around the corner," she said, "come on, Natsu."
Please," Happy cried as he hugged his best friend. "I lost Lisanna already, Natsu; I'm not ready to lose you, too," he cried. "Please, you gotta get up," he cried. "Lucy, Gray, Juvia, everyone their fighting August, and they can't win without you," he shouted. "Natsu, you have to get up," he called.
"Please get up."
Lisanna led Natsu through the forest, and the colors around them became muted as they went further. Occasionally, Lisanna would look back and smile at Natsu, who would return the gesture. They continued until they reached a light at the end of the path. The area around the light was empty but welcoming. Just being near it made Natsu calm calmer than he's ever felt in years. Before they proceeded any further, Lisanna stopped; not moving an inch for a moment, he could hear another voice, one even more distant. "What's wrong, Lisanna" Natsu asked.
"Please get up."
"I can't," Lisanna whispered.
"Can't what," Natsu asked.
"You can't die yet," Lisanna told him. "You're still needed."
"but I," Natsu started, "I don't know what to do."
"So, you just give up," Lisanna shouted. "The Natsu I fell in love with never gave up."
"did you know me," Natsu asked. "I barely know myself anymore."
"of course I do," Lisanna shouted. "Your Natsu, my best friend, the person that I," Lisanna looked away, "that I hoped I would marry one day, and we would start a family of our own," she admitted. "We would watch the sunset together, living' life the way we choose."
"was it my choice" Natsu muttered. "Everyone seems to be telling me what I am so much that I don't know anymore," he said. "Am I a demon, a dragon, or a human" he cried. "I just want to know," he shouted. "All this time, I wanted answers, and no, what I have them," he sighed. "Now that I have them, I wish I didn't," he admitted. "I wish things could go back before everything."
"Well, to me, your just Natsu," Lisanna admitted. "Demon, dragon, human, no matter what, I still love you," she said as she pressed their foreheads together. "And as much as it hurts, as much as I want to drag you to the other side," she said, tears appearing on her face. "I know you can't be with me just yet," she whispered. "I know I'll have to wait till the next life for you and me to be together." she stopped when she felt Natsu grab her face.
"you'll always have a place in my heart," Natsu told her, "and you know what? I figured it out," Natsu smiled. "Why you're here."
"Why," Lisanna asked as he wiped her tears.
"it was you," Natsu smiled around the Igneel Anna, and Zeref appeared. "Zeref made me, and thus I was born a demon; Anna taught me and brought out my humanity; Igneel raised me and made me a warrior, a dragon slayer" he looked at Lisanna. "But you," he whispered. "You gave me a purpose," he said. "You showed me what it meant to feel alive."

"It wasn't just me," Lisanna told him.
"I know"
Flashback
the group sat at the tree Lisanna let out a small laugh as Happy complained, "Natsu ate my whole fish and didn't even ask me first."
"When I eat any fish, you say it's yours," Natsu's told him.
"jeez, Natsu, you're the dad," Lisanna told him, "so you need to take care of your wife and son."
"That was like a million years ago," Natsu told him.
"what are you guys talking about," Happy asked.
"N-Nothing!" Natsu told him.
"it's normal for families to fight, but it's important that you make up," Lisanna told him, smiling, "no matter what, Happy is still our son."
"I think Lisanna is going physio on us," Happy said.
"Don't say that, man," Natsu told him.
"Oh, then should I talk about this" Happy said in a weird accent.
"you know that's not what I meant," Natsu said.
"Juvenile as ever, I see," Lisanna said, laughing.
"stop picking on me."
"No," Lucy said as she looked around, noticing everyone down or injured. "I brought harm here due to my own selfish reasons," she said, tearing up. "Maybe if I go back, all this will stop."
"I don't know," Natsu told her " I mean, I can't see you playing the pretty princess up to her mansion," Natsu said, now standing in front of her, "Laughing with us in this filthy pub, going on adventures even though you freak out all the time, that's who you are," Natsu told the girl who looked him in his eyes as he smiled "why would you go back to the place you ran away from, who are trying to kid" Natsu then placed a hand on her shoulder and smirked "No more running, where your family now,"
"Just watch me," Gray said as he prepared to cast the spell. 'Natsu, Erza, Lucy, I'm sorry I must go like this, but I must leave the rest to you. You guys are the closest friend I've had in a while. I don't want to leave you, but my time is up "{Iced shell-}."
Gray was interrupted when Natsu punched him in the face stopping him from casting the spell. "What the hell Natsu."
"If you think I'm going to sit back," Natsu said as he gripped his arm, "and let you die" Natsu looked at him with a glare that could match Erza's, "then you wrong!" Natsu shouted.
"I can handle this, Natsu," Gray shouted, "it's the only way."
"I'm not going to let my friend die!" Natsu told him, "We're all going home, and that's a fact."
Gray stood up and gripped the scarf. "Well, I got a score to settle, and I'm ready to die to get it done."
Natsu gripped his arm. "And what's dying going to do," he asked, "cause that seems like running away if you ask me."
Erza awoke again. She looked around and saw she was on a beach 'where am I," Erza said as she saw Lucy, Gray, Juvia, Sho, Millianna, and Wally running to her.
"what," Erza said. As she looked over, she saw Natsu carrying her bridal style. A tear came from her eye as Natsu walked the pair onto the beach "Natsu," Erza said, "I was lost in that ether-nano, and you found me."
Natsu placed her down as he got on his knees " I know how you feel," Natsu whispered, "and I feel the same way," he said as tears started to come from his eyes. "Promise me you won't ever do that again."
"Natsu I."
"Promise," Natsu shouted, tears running down his face as Erza smiled before touching their heads.
"I promise,"
"Natsu," Wendy called out as Erza stared at Nirvana. "Natsu, Jellal," she said, "please be alright" As Happy ran behind her, the ground burst up, revealing Natsu and Jellal being held by Richard of the oracion seis.
"Love drives us to save our friends, oh yeah," Richard said as Natsu shook his head.
"There he is," Gray said, smiling, "always with the dramatic entrances," he said as tears filled Wendy's eyes.
"you're okay," she whispered as she ran to hug Natsu, almost tripping the dragonslayer as he hugged her back. "Thank you," she cried. "Thank you," she said, rubbing her back. Natsu smiled; turning around, she smiled at everyone else. "Thanks to all of you; I still have my guild."
"no, kid, we saved your guild," he told her. "You destroyed a lacrmia too, didn't you," he told her, to which the girl smiled.
"you're right," she said as she high-fived Natsu.
"Master," Natsu said as he and Mavis sat side by side, "I think I have an answer," he told her.
"Do you now," Mavis asked.
"Both," Natsu said, getting a confused look from Mavis, "you need to have compassion for others to be attached to them," he said. "To understand others, you must be compassionate," he explained, "and you must learn when to be firm to make sure that the others around you grow and learn," Natsu said Like how you are with me," he said to this Mavis laughed.
"you've grown so much," Mavis said. "It seems like yesterday you were that small little boy that I would have to tuck in at night" She smiled.
"Can I ask you something, master," Natsu said. "What do you see in me."
"Hope," Mavis answered, "I see hope" She looked at him moving a bit. "You are the future, Natsu, you and Mira; I've watched you grow into such amazing wizards." she smiled. "I know you do great things in the world."
"But I've made so many mistakes," Natsu said
"And," Mavis told him, "we're only human," she said. "You wanna know a secret, Natsu," she said. "I was never angry at you, Laxus, Freed, Bickslow, Evergreen, even Precht," she admitted. "I was sad 'cause I thought you lost your way," she looked at him, "but you found it, and by finding it, when the time came, you could help Laxus and the thunder legion find there's as well."
"I didn't mean to," Natsu stopped, a smile working his way to his face. "Okay," Natsu said, "I'll do my best to meet your expectations."
"You already have my son," Mavis said
"You already have."

You're right," Natsu finished as Lucy, Mira, Elfman, Cana, Happy, and Gray. Juvia and Gajeel appeared, Mavis standing at the center, a smile on her face . "but you put me on that path; you were the first person I met when I woke in this era." he smiled "you, Mavis, Mira, and Elfman I didn't see it then, but I do now, and I know that no matter what I choose."
"we'll still love you," Lisanna finished, "because we're family."
Natsu looked back. He could hear Anna, Igneel, Zeref, all parts that put him together "to kill or let live," he whispered. "Lisanna, I," he stopped when she hugged him again.
"I understand, Natsu" Lisanna smiled. "I miss you."
"I miss you two," Natsu said as she kissed him. "was that for luck."
"take care of them, Natsu, and promise me you'll let yourself be happy, too," Lisanna said with a smile. Natsu nodded, knowing what she meant. He turned back, running through the first as the area changed one final time thinking about everything and the choice he needed to make
"you must be so proud," Natsu growled, "this E.N.D. that's the demon Igneel failed to kill."
"It is more accurate to say Igneel couldn't kill him," Zeref said
"Then I guess I'll have to finish what he started," Natsu shouted as she slammed his sword against Zeref, completely destroying it in the process as Zeref smiled at him
"I have no doubt that you can," Zeref said, "but you should consider why Igneel failed to kill E.N.D." Zeref explained as Natsu backed up, "The answer may surprise you" he laughed as he gave Natsu a knowing look. "E.N.D is my most powerful creation, my legacy," Zeref said, "soon, you too will have to face that choice."

"the power to defeat Zeref still resides in you, Natsu," Anna said. "You consumed Igneel's blood, and once more, you have mastered the power of the fire dragon king" She looked at him. "The only reason it's unbalanced is that you've lost sight of who you are." she looked away, "or, to be precise, you have yet to accept it."
"I know who I am," Natsu shouted. "I," he looked away, "I do; I'm a demon," he said, "No, I'm."
Anna embraced him. "Deep down, you already know the answer. Only when you acknowledge it will you unlock the power of the fire dragons." She explained, "I always hoped that you, Meredy, Gajeel, and Wendy would have the freedom to live your own lives and make your own decisions. That's why I refrained from intervening when I located you."

Natsu smiled as he returned to Igneel, Anna, and Zeref appearing again. "So, have you figured out an answer yet," Igneel asked.
"Of who you are, Natsu," Zeref said.
" and have you decided whether to kill or let live," Anna asked.
"I did," Natsu smiled. "I know."
"who I am." the tears falling on Natsu's face started to evaporate as Mira looked in shock.
Lucy fell to the ground as August laughed. "Is this the best you all have" he boasted? "Tell me that these are not the champions of the godforsaken city, the same warriors who," August was interpreted when a rock hit him. Looking over to see Wendy back on her feet, "You still recovering, Dragonborn? I would," he was interrupted when another rock hit him. This time, it was Lucy.
"do you like ever shut up," Meredy asked as she tried to stand up again. to which August huffed
"don't you know who we are" Lucy growled. "We're fairy tail, damn it," shouted. "We never give up," she said. "So, how about you walk away so we don't have to put you in the dirt."
"you are not a Dragonborn," August said, "you are allowed to die."
"do. Your. worst." Lucy dared.
"Lucy," Gildarts shouted when a large explosion broke out, flames going everywhere as August jumped away, and everyone looked in shock. "Bout time, kid," Gildarts smiled.
'I was born a demon.'
"no way," Meredy said as tears appeared on her face "god damn, show off."
'I was raised as a dragon.'
"hell yea," Gray and Juvia shouted. "I knew you weren't kicking the bucket yet."
'and in my heart, I'm a human.'
"better late than never," Lucy cried. "I think you've had enough naps for the entire war," she cried as she looked at the back of her best friend.
'In the end, these things made me who I am; you said the seeds were fighting for dominance. The only reason they are is cause I lost sight of myself and need to put them back together. That's what you were trying to get me to see.'
"so it's you," August said as Natsu rose from the smoke, his scarf flowing in the wind as he glared at "You finally have come out of hiding," he said as Natsu opened his eyes, looking back at August as the man stood up tapping his staff on the ground "our last encounter was cut short when Irene cast universe one this time there will be no interruptions," he said as everyone cheered as they had there stare down.

Natsu has been revived and arrived just in time to help in the fight against August, the wizard king, the last remaining member of the Spriggan twelve.
