Tommy looked around his house. His parents were going to get rid of their old stuff to get new stuff and he was already dreaming of all the fun things they could get. The only problem was… his mommy and daddy had left a lot of stuff in the house.
"Hey! Maybe they need us to help'em! We can grab all the stuffs they forgot about and put it out on the yard so the people can take it away!"
"Wait a minute, Tommy!" Chuckie protested. "We can't do that! We're too little!"
"Too little? Do you remember when we went over the fence to get my ball from the other yard? Were we too little then?"
"We didn't go over the fence," Chuckie pointed out. "Phil and Lil's daddy got it."
"Oh," Tommy said, deflating. "Well, what about when we put mud in my daddy's shoes so he'd make funny noises when he walked?"
"We didn't do that, your grandpa stopped us."
"Or what about when we filled the potty with Jello so the fish wouldn't get hungry?"
"I don't remember that," Phil said.
"…that might have been a dream!" Tommy declared.
"And if we did do that we'd get in trouble!"
"We're babies, Chuckie! We're supposed to get in trouble! We do that stuff, our parents say we're cute, that's it! Now come on!"
It took some work for them to escape the playpen, but finally the babies were out and began to gather things up, putting them in boxes and pushing them out-
"Hey, how much for this?" a teenage girl asked Lou.
"Well that's… wait a minute." He frowned. "I don't remember that bein' out here before. Didi! Did ya want to sell this clock?"
"Clock… oh, how did this get out-TOMMY!" Didi rushed over to her son, who was still pulling a box of stuff he'd gathered into the yard along with his friends. "No no no!" she scolded. Tommy, realizing he was about to get in trouble, tried to run away so he could get more stuff but his mommy grabbed him and lifted him up, the baby fussing as he squirmed.
"Aw, he was just trying to help!" Drew said with a chuckle.
"Maybe but he could have gotten hurt. And look at this stuff he brought out… he could have broken something." She looked at Stu. "You know… I think we forgot something we need to replace…"
A few hours later Tommy, Phil, Lil, and Chuckie all started at the new playpen fence. It was easily twice as tall as the old one with a mess lining that they couldn't stick their hands through and a latch far too high for them to reach.
"There! Not getting out of that," Stu said as he carried the old playpen fence out to be sold. "Have fun guys… we'll be back in soon!"
"Just say we're cute, huh?" Chuckie asked as Tommy stared at the new playpen glumly.
