Superhero Chuckie

Chuckie cringed as Angelica walked over, trying to hide the inflatable ball that he'd gotten from the Captain Blasto show behind him. Of course it was so big that Tommy could have curled up behind it and not been seen so honestly him trying to hide it was a lost cause. The other babies moved to help him but it was far too late.

"Uh… hi Angelica," Chuckie said nervously. "Can… can I do something for you?"

Angelica opened her mouth only to snap it shut. 'We don't make ourselves feel good by making others feel bad,' Dr. Jasper's voice reminded her.

"…never mind, I've got better things to do!" And with that she walked away.

"Wow Chuckie!" Tommy said in awe. "You made Angelica go away!"

"She was gonna take that ball but you stopped her!" Phil proclaimed.

"I… I don't know if I did it…" he said.

"Yes you did!" Tommy said, throwing his hands up in the air. "It was all you!"

"I… I guess I did," Chuckie said with a smile that slowly grew as his friends praised him. "I was like Captain Blasto."

"You were better than Captain Blasto," Lil proclaimed. "You were… Captain Chuckie!"

"Captain Chuckie…" he said, warming to that idea. "Yeah! Captain Chuckie! Superbaby!"

The babies began to cheer and dance about, celebrating the new hero. While they did that Didi walked over to Angelica, who was doing her best to ignore them. "Angelica, I saw you over there… I know you were tempted to take Chuckie's ball."

"I… I wasn't-"

"But you didn't. I'm very proud of you."

"You… you are?" Angelica said, surprised. She was used to people saying she was pretty and a princess and an angel… but never proud. It made her feel funny. All warm and happy.

"Very proud. I was going to make some cookies. If you help I'll let you have some of the first batch."

Her eyes lit up and she accepted her aunt's hand. "Really?"

"Absolutely."

"Heheh," Lenard Nemoy said as he looked into the Pickles house. "My work here is done."

"What do you mean your work?" Howard said, noticing the odd man standing in the yard. "You didn't do anything!"

"Oh? Didn't I?"

Howard's eyes went wide as Nemoy disappeared right in front of him.
